They'd get so much mileage out of it in MSQ and other quests, it's pretty ridiculous when you have a hotsprings quest or whatever and everyone is wearing their goofball fricking sandals in the water, or when someone is injured in their bed but sleeping with their sandals on
Glam vendor in Vesper Bay sells "The Emperor's New" X sets, which is the naked glam set.
And the default "naked" boot item are the sandals I'm talking about, which is why they'd need a new item to render bare feet for each race which would be a fitting summer reward. Like
said only Y'shtola (and Nanamo) have been barefoot in the entire game if I'm remembering correctly, so the work is already done for two female races anyway

Ive been trying to tell people for years before I came to this site. The art for the events isnt good anymore (and yes, having a sexy viera or miqote on the poster in a sexy pose/outfit is important and we all know it, even the trannies) and then with regular patches, we get bare minimum since SB. No hard dungeons like before, etc. Just one dungeon a patch, and either a 24 main or a savage and thats it. But were told everything is the same ans nothing is wrong. Much like irl.

What's more fun to decorate, a small or medium? The extra space seems to come at a disadvantage because you don't get a really big increase in furniture count, and I prefer making cozy palces with a lot of clutter.

Why are high end XIV players so desperate to cheat in this game? I don't think I've seen so many instances of PvE cheating in an MMO even when WoW was the king of MMOs. Maybe it's not as blatant but the only infamous one I remember from WoW was the AQ40 cheat where they were able to delete the floor at the entrance to the instance and go right to C'thun.
No consequences plus their ego goes through the roof everytime someone recognizes them or when they all go pose in Limsa with their new cheated ultimate weapons and everyone goes to congratulate them. There's also the fact that the first boosts sell for upwards of $2k and there's a ridiculous amount people buying these boosts, even dudes getting boosted weekly for multiple weapons at more than $1k a pop.
But it's mostly the ego part, it's really sad individuals.

there are some decent gear sets, I think the omega one is pretty good iirc. The problem is they needed another striking class at the time because monks have always been unpopular, and robe-wearing samurai fit better since Doma/Hingashi are designed more around the Edo era.

tank armor will always look better in any mmo. With more physical mass to work with devs can put way more detail into those sets, its just the way it is. I do agree though, I think in 7.0 maybe the artifact set should be a little bulkier.

I fully get that SAM is a ronin in this game, but also I know where the set was datamined from in the game's gear IDs and what the positioning of gear IDs means in Squeenix's data structure. Samurai set was right next to the PvP set that we got this series, not next to event gear or cash-shop gear. You do the math.

This is a complaint I hear quite a bit. The samurai gear is this game is more styled after the later samurai eras (?) apparently, and that's why its more flowing garbs and sandals instead of heavier armor. Its not a mail or plate class so it has to use light armor. Also sharing gear with monk doesn't help lmfao.
The Amatsu set from the event will always be my favorite set for SAM, but that's probably because its from FF11 which had better looking samurai gear.

warrior healing is strong but outside of making dungeons genuinely impossible to lose it's not THAT strong because in all of the harder content tanks dying isn't why people are going to wipe. it's either because of mechanics that don't give a shit about how much hp healing you can have because you're a corpse, or because it's an AOE that wiped out everyone besides the tank and while warrior can try and use nascent to keep 1 other person alive that's usually not enough.
gnb/drk healing is good enough given how much easy healing actual healers offer, while doing way more damage (you don't need healing if something is dead) and having more party mitigation

living dead definitely bumped it down a lot with its changes but hallow ground is still the worst just because it's cooldown is so long and SB technically offers the same benefits as long as you were already almost dead, especially now that gnb can do a lot of the work cleaning up the mess he made with corundum. HG is best for being an idiot proof way to handle a few dungeon pulls and nothing else
I still think Hallowed is useful because Bolide can cost healing resources but you're right that if you're popping it when you're almost dead Bolide is objectively better

good for soloing dungeon bosses the other 3 tanks can solo anyway with a bit more effort in using your cooldowns and making unsync content a breeze, nothing special for "content that matters". The benefit of warrior is that it's so easy a monkey can play it and holmgang opening strategies to ignore an extra tankbuster with its shorter cooldown

You're right that there are definitely situations where passage is doing more work, but it needs to be a situation where you won't get any benefit out of the longer effective cooldown of the other tank aoe mitigations (because you're not holding passage unless it's a big phase change attack, its only like 5 seconds or however long the server keeps the effect vs 15) and you also need to have the entire party all in one spot when the hit happens during those few seconds. It's not that these situations don't exist, but you definitely find the party split up or taking damage several times in a short period and so you get more milage out of the otherwise slightly weaker cooldowns of the other tanks.

Heart of Corundum or Sheltron? TBN or Bloodwhetting? Who Cares? Both will soak the TB and will let the tank live regardless, the fight dont make a difference who what's what.
You will never have a specific TB where they will punish healing or break shields harder.

Why do you keep talking about mitigations when I'm talking about damage? The tank homogenization is why gnb/drk are objectively the best choice because your tank pick doesn't matter at all in terms of doing your actual job (being alive and keeping everyone else alive) because it's so homogenized, but meanwhile two of the tanks do noticably more damage and thus either more effectively do their other job (help pass dps checks) or just get the fight over with faster so you can do something else. There's only upsides to picking these tanks outside of very specific situations where holmgang or cover are going to make or break things.
If you do older content synced you start to find reasons to pick 1 tank for its defensive buttons over another, but at the rate the game is going it seems like you need to be someone from a sony FF game instead of a nintendo one or you're a second class citizen

I don't fully agree with it, but I do like the idea of cross class skills.
Usually people that recall cross-class favorably are Scholar mains (surprise surprise) who were filching Thunder and Aero from THM and CNJ, or a Paladin able to cast Raise on the overworld from CNJ. They won't however recall kindly on needing to level THM to have Swiftcast (so no swiftcast res which has become ubiquitous with healers), or needing to level CNJ to have Stoneskin and Protect. Pretty much anything useful got shorn out of cross-class and made a fixture of jobs as role skills, and for good reason.
I do wish we had the old variety back in role skills, though, because I miss casting dualcasting Break on things following me as a RDM in Eureka.
Yeah, we should also go back to cooldowns not resetting after a wipe, because we're manly men who love nolifing the game.

"qol fixes" and "bug fixes" are the excuse devs use to make changes to the game design without saying that's what they're doing. making cooldowns reset after a wipe directly changes how you play (can go all out to try and save a wipe instead of just giving up and dying to save time on waiting for cooldowns) and what you play (classes with shorter cooldowns that are almost as good as another classes similar cooldown are now way better for prog)
What they did to the agro system was also a "qol improvement" because every group that knew what it was doing never had issues with tanks losing agro, but you better believe it changed the game.

god I sure do miss the halcyon days of heavensward where drk wasn't casualized and instead I had to tank the boss to get reprisal stacks but also constantly make the warrior do all the real tanking so we swapped back and forth just so I could do more damage

i play warrior because it's fun i could care less how much damage it does.
Looking at the medians since that's the most important here when looking at the entire player base. they're like 100 dps apart each.
I realized I did have the tanks on rdps instead of adps, which is the actual metric that matters for tank damage. the gap is actually even worse in that case, its over 300 comparing the median between the two (still worse then blm vs mch)

Is there any good Youtube videos or something to learn PvP. I'm not new to PvP games, I play a lot of league, csgo, etc.., but I tried a couple CC games and I just don't understand what's going on. But it looks like fun and the rewards are cool.
Practice in Frontline and on the dock, then reread the rules you obviously skipped through.
Really the only complex thing you need to learn for CC is target selection. Hitting the full HP tank on the point while they have full MP and no one else in your team means you're probably doing nothing useless. I typically have a targeting priority of something like
>Whoever my dumbass teammates are targetting
>Highest threat enemy like a BLM or NIN that is terrorizing my team
>Enemy with lowest MP to run them out of resources
>Whoever is on point
>Whoever you can target
This generally means you are outputting damage in a useful place to give your team more room to do things. Getting a numbers advantage is the largest thing you can do to influence the game. So forcing someone out of the fight to heal or respawn gives you an advantage.
Also just pay attention to your team's LB bars. If you're playing a tank or something and see your DRG has LB available, spam the shit out of your LB READY button and CC the enemies. Your team will follow up 8/10 times.

everything stacks except for identical named moves (if one drk tbn's someone the second drk's tbn will overwrite the first, same with warrior shields) and specific healer shields that say they don't stack with other similar shields because they don't have the same name but are otherwise so similar and easy to use that the meta would be "have both shields up 100% of the time and make the entire party have 20% more hp" if they didn't
Dance partner can stack (sort of) between two DNC, but two DNC partnering the same person won't stack.
Its easier to say that only Standard Step stack, and only twice.

Once you install ACT you'll notice that as a tank you do more DPS than the DPS and the healers don't even hit their attack buttons.
If you don't install ACT you can continue pretending your teammates aren't complete shitters and might be happier.

You'll notice that as tank even when you don't have a DPS meter or player effects turned on when trash pulls take fricking forever to die, or you wipe because the fight went on for so long that you and the healer ran out of cooldowns. Or when as the DPS you notice that the tank doesn't know how to use AOEs because you're always threatening to steal aggro in the middle of the pull, or that the tank keeps having to run back towards the healer to pick up packs.
I can already tell you're not if you aren't measuring dps
