They need to offer like 3 day or 1 week Subs or something if they actually want to commit to this.
I would definitely sub for weekend every now and then, but committing to 1 month is too much outside of a major patches/expansions.
This, atleast offer a 2 week one (since that is the amount of time I've noticed a lot of players actually use out of their 4 weeks of playtime) for slightly more than half price. One of the reasons why I haven't subbed since 6.35 is because I simply can't justify the playtime in my own head so it just feels like I'm wasting 2/3rds of the cost of my sub every time I play.
That along with the fact that there is 0 actually fun replayable content in this expansion since every single new content addition has been worse than every other expansion. In SB we would have had BLU (shit or not) and a complete Eureka to play with, in ShB we would be riding the high of the MSQ and have a complete Bozja/Zadnor by now, in ARR we would have NIN to play with along with the (buggy) housing system and GS, HW is probably the only other expansion that comes close to being as shit at this point but it's (somewhat shit) job design and PotD were enough for a lot of people to keep logging in (imo) since old job design simply made content of all types more fun to play solo.
I loved playing MCH in PotD while when 3 statics that I had played in all quit in frustration, it's plain to see that their new direction for job design has been ruining the game since ShB thanks to some of the best content in the game adds onto said system or completely ignores it, ever wonder why ultimates are literally just puzzle fight where the players tries to interact with combat as little as possible (as moronic as that sounds)? Thats why.
Just do this:
Whenever you finish a new expansion MSQ, immediately unsub than only come back during a free-login campaign to do the new stuff (which will be completable within a day). Only resub once for every expansion launch.
How about I just stop playing entirely and just use the saved money on literally any other game? Since the points never get addressed by the devs and they usually even get shitposted on by fricking shadowbabs or troonies to the point where the community doesn't seem to give a shit (at least not until the game starts falling).

The hard fights are not good at all. It's just pure memory because the boss will always do the same attack/mechanic at the exact same time every pull. So it's just mashing your head to a wall to memorise the pattern that always plays out. If you like that then go ahead.

Rising Phoenix -> Enlightenment -> LB -> Thunderclap -> Stun -> Rising Phoenix -> Phantom Rush to kill everyone except tanks and buffed/shielded players.
But when I knock people back with Enlightenment they get Recuperate off.

blm has its 10% dmg redcution on lb back, which honestly does go a long way
smn has aegis which if you just time it semi well the monk just wont kill you on its own at all
rdm has 51k hp with a 10% dmg reduction on magick barrier
mch and brd have the least defenses but still are often way out of your way
against good players in cc you rarely get gifted a free kill combo. because you need to lube them up beforehand now. and that takes time, and by the time youre ready the enemies team is all around you and either healing/shielding your target and potentially also killing you in the process.
the kill combo is very much avoidable
The true kill combo and what smart MNK player do is roll in Phantom Rush
Phoenix > Enlightenment > LB > stun > PR
(Not counting Phoenix damage since you usually do it out of range)
12k + 8k + 24k + 4k + 12k
60k total damage
That basically kill every job outright beside WAR and GNB.
And keep in mind that most job won't have full HP in some cases.

Why do people dislike endwalker?
Mostly because the patches have been coming out about half a month later than they usually do, with a lot less content.
The best example is the new relic weapons. They used to be grinds, with entire new areas and systems (Eureka/Bozja) but now it's literally just log in, spend 1500 tomes and done
There isn't any content that lasts very long, almost everything is one and done, and the few things that you could do more have the shittiest rewards you can imagine, so nobody is doing them either.
Also, they increased the time between patches so the wait is even worse, and the story currently is a nothingburger clearly designed as filler until Dawntrail comes out.
The story will be filler, until one day in 4 years time where it's not. Ala warriors of darkness

Athena is so much better than E12S, but I'll give you that Oracle better than Pallas. After this I just want another tier like post-Gordias Alexander. Tough, but fair, hardly any body checks, varied arenas an approaches to fights.
i just found the mechanics of athena dreadfully uninspired. as far as tether mechanics go, junction shiva was better than para2, i also thought lions was far better than any mechanic in athena. i also greatly disliked how janky athena is visually, snapshots in this game have always been poor, but they're fricking horrendous in athena with the haircuts and the angels, especially when you have the backmost protean spots in sc2b, i just gigamit that shit and eat the damage down sometimes. eden's promise definitely has more softball mechs than athena but difficulty isn't directly correlated to enjoyability. athena also fricking did no damage, it was so horribly boring to heal
Has anything been worth healing this expansion? Healing feels like being a Janny at this point.

I don't think promise had any softball mechs, I just wasn't a fan of the junctions and laser baits from the statues. Lions was frustrating, but the snapshots in Athena are stupid and it falls apart with the last superchains. I think the first superchain and paradeigma 3 are the best parts.
most of junction titan was softball, the beginning kinda is a softball although the whole of athena until para2 is a gigantic waste of time where nothing happens. sc1 has this snapshot at the end if it's out then in, the out in actually snapshots way earlier than the indicator and the towers snapshot before the donut aoe even appears, so you do have to do this moronic strat where the laser people run into the boss to try to avoid the towers, while the towers try their best to run out just before the donut aoe appears so they don't clip anyone
athena just feels like they're pushing this garbage ass combat engine to its limit by having these super janky snapshots
I thought Shadowbringers was the worst expansion because it had no content, or that Stormblood was the worst expansion because the story and Eureka were trash, or that Heavensward was the worst expansion because job balance, savage raiding and The Diadem sucked. It's hard to keep up with these things.
Get ahead of the curve now, start calling criterion the best content and start saying that Dawntrail is the most by the numbers expansion ever.
Hype wore off, people realized the plot was rushed and had too much last-minute additions, everything is either boring or requires giga parse autism, everything slowly gets worse.
Portraits and plates were a really cool addition, thoughestever. Thats what finally motivated me to clear ultimates, who gives a shit about weapons or titles.

I actually quite like Criterion dungeons if only for letting us go back and get more lore in older locations now that hard dungeons are no longer a thing. Plus Mount Rokkon is really pretty and I really wish I could explorer mode through it or if we could get an expansion that lets us actually explore Hingashi.
