I haven't played WOW, so I can't speak on behalf of them.
But from what I understand, the XIV community is considered to be cold and dead. I know because I have never used the chat, and I'm assuming a lot of people don't either. We are all just doing our own thing.
/p I'm going to focus on collecting CE for us, then attacking oppressors and brutes.

I usually only get 2 per mammet what?
Mammets hold 20 CE, when they die (including suiciding to a structure) they distribute the CE among everyone that dealt damage to it i.e. if you damaged it for 100% of its health you get 20 CE, 10 CE for 50% and so on.
If everyone's going to the train zerg and you can solo a lane, you can get a mech up in 2 mammet waves, since each pair of mammets holds a total of 40 CE (but you'll lose some of it to your own mammets hitting the enemy mammets). If you're coordinated and send 1 player solo to each lane you can get an Opp up and running with over 60 seconds left to the first train arrival which can be really good for an early push regardless of whether your train zerg is winning or losing.
Optimally there should always be at least someone clearing each lane, or you're throwing away 60 CE per lane by the time the first train arrives.

If you're on NA, primal DC has had rival wing queues at less than 5m for the entirety of the moogle tome event. You still have a chance to queue up for it before 6.5

I main bard, job is easy as frick and you can put out a decent amount of dps. The song cycling is way easier to manage compared to other jobs.

Highly doubtful. FFXI is so intricately woven with PlayOnline and the knowledge (as well as how much it would cost) to decouple it just isn't at SE anymore.

I'm surprised they released dragonflight as a regular standalone paid expansion honestly. They've turned every other game they own into a battlepass, GAAS nightmare already, WoW, especially considering their barebones dev team who can't barely make a complete expansion anymore, is a prime candidate to shift into some f2p maintenance mode with microscopic gameplay additions twice a year paired with battlepasses, and some optional WoW+ subscription.
Hell, they were already testing this shit on classic. Only reason I can see for them to not shift that way, is some kind of stubborn pride about still being the biggest subscription MMO in the market, and not some f2p has-been hellscape full of greedy monetization.

Fire 3 and Blizzard 3 change elements if used from the opposing "stance", so Blizzard 3 while in fire stance or the opposite
Transpose skill is needed to change element before that point

Mid level try to get as many Fire 4 as possible, you should start doing standard
Higher level make sure to spend Foul then Xeno before overcapping, make sure to end every fire phase in Despair
Max level you get Paradox making standard extremely viable and making movement much less painful.
Standard rotation is F3 F4 F4 F4 Paradox(F1) F4 F4 F4 Despair -> B3 B4 Paradox
Spend Xeno to move or not overcap, make sure to keep T3 up.

One is what you mention, with changes to the world itself (which was always based), the other is what they started adding in like, BFA or Shadowlands, because the game code has degraded so much, the game lags horribly if more than a few players are together at the same time, so they force-shard players regardless of progress to keep the game running at a decent framerate (and still fail at it).
If you ever played Dark Souls back when it used GFWL and tried to actually summon a friend, that's what modern WoW feels like.

The banquet was happening somewhere else, the people you mention didn't even know the sultana drank the poison until Teledji told them, meaning the WoL could've simply knocked out the brass blades at the sultana's room and the people at the banquet would've been none the wiser.

I think it could've worked if it was some kind of weird powerplay to get teledji killed, potentially get rid of the scions, and then have more sway over the sultana (could've pretended to find a cure himself or something).

Eolande ended up dying in the Calamity, with some implication that Teledji used the event as cover to assassinate her. So if im understanding this right it means that lolorito saving nanamo wasn't something they pulled out of their asses but something he had been planning for years, damn, it sucks 1.0 content isn't accessible

I didn't play 1.0. I've blasted through the MSQ, then saw the same basic bullshit hamster wheel grind that's in WoW, so I quit ff14 forever too.
