But... since every japanese 3d modeler comes from a background of manga art (every other graphical style is non-existent in Japan), they have no other way of thinking but forcing manga design tropes onto 3d models. The beta to ARR *did* have speech bubbles. But they were an actual entity in the gameworld, like your minion or chocobo or SMN pet. And they would continue to spawn as you talked, and if you spoke too quickly they would overload the client and you would crash.
That is legitimately why they took them out and we still don't have them a decade later.
I don't know for sure but I think the way the plugin speech bubbles work is they just limit you to one at a time, which I don't know why SE never did themselves.

I do. I don't ERP and got into RP because of TTRPGs which are more focused on the adventure and character stuff. I realize I'm in the minority, though, and that even non-ERP RP is often linked to ERP for a lot of people.
The main thing is that non-ERP is basically exclusive to Balmung (and sort of Mateus), whereas every other server and data center JUST has ERP. But Balmung has the reputation of being an ERP hub because it has more of it just by nature of having the most RP.

Chicks like the Carbuncle, but SMN was changed because it was a wierd Frankenstein class that played like a worse Warlock with a 30 second opener and 5 minute long rotation. It's intentionally super simple now, so they can more easily add stuff at later xpacs.

I think Garlemald was a great part of Endwalker but I understand people wanted more of it. But I think everything in Garlemald was done PERFECTLY, so Garlechads should be happy, as other areas did not get perfect treatment.

You only have to deal with that shit once when you're attuning to the aethernet, or for a handful of job quests that require you to go somewhere off the beaten path in Limsa. The city is actually very compact when you take in to account all the places you would regularly want to go, and everything that's not the smithing guilds are right next to an aethernet node.
It's one of the only 3 places in the game where you can change your world without logging out. Sharlayan would be a perfect location if you could change your world there, both the MB and retainers are really close to the aetheryte.

Maybe shares Scouting armor with Ninja and can steal Ninja's old identity of giving party buffs at the 60 second buff window. Thematically it would work as setting up your allies for a big shot or something. Maybe instead of Dancer's one person buff, or Bard's weak team buff, you get something more like AST cards where you have to pass to different party members for medium strength buffs.
Blitzballers are team players, they could even use Wakka's limit break roulette as a mechanic.
