I wish drk would get more job accurate shit like using it's blood to cast spells for protection, damage mit, etc. Like dark knights use black magic and it completely fails the theme in this game.

any mods that actually improve the graphics of this game? all maxed at 144 fps and the grass still looks like shit. i used penumbra with some upscaler but they dont change anything i think
as far as I know it's all texture upscales like Face Defined, Hair Defined, etc.
The only model improvements are for characters and clothes so you can coom to them.
Most people playing XIV don't even see the world because their eyes are glued to their characters ass/breasts/feet
A friend bought me a sub so I could play WoW again because he was hyped about "worldsoul" I was stunned by the countless "gay" characters. There was 1 quest with a husband and wife and 6 with gay characters. Aside from that the complete tone, and energy of the game is so different it is like a different game with a weird WoW coat of paint.

They're going to have most of the FFXVI team back in the short term but whatenever new Radec Engine project they're doing will drain those people from FFXIV again once that exits pre-production.
This expansion cycle was two and a half years instead of two though. They stretched out all of the patches out over two years + half a year drought instead of a year and a half + half a year drought.
Not gonna switch from Striking to Scouting unless they royally frick up MNK and SAM in dawntrail. I like NIN in theory but I don't have having to pack so much shit into the burst window so Scouting is my least-prioritized melee right now

Maybe I just have nostalgia goggles for previous expansions and it's always been like this, but I feel like 6.55 has particularly little going on. All that comes to mind is the relic, tataru side quest, and allied beast tribe all of which could be done in an afternoon. Unless they decide to make the last relic step a real one instead of just times.

My Fiddie Weeb had been running ShB as a DRK with Odenta Kai. After that cutscene I switched her back to Samurai and equipped the heavensturn armor glam to look like she had 'returned to her roots' but also gained a power boost.

I think that's as close as you can get as Guts in the game at the moment, might put a touch of grey highlights in the hair though as Guts has that later, kinda bullshit how they added in the Dragonkiller sword and even sort of the armour but won't let you close one eye on the character creation or chose where to put scars.
What armour is that and is there any way to make it even BLACKER? I'm in the market for a grimdark full plate set.

Maybe I just have nostalgia goggles for previous expansions and it's always been like this, but I feel like 6.55 has particularly little going on. All that comes to mind is the relic, tataru side quest, and allied beast tribe all of which could be done in an afternoon. Unless they decide to make the last relic step a real one instead of just times.

XIV has some genuine great writing.
