Primals are just an excuse to bring back old boss fights from previous FF games and you can absolutely expect that trend to continue using whatever plot contrivances necessary.
Why would primals disappear? Their still offshoots from the beast tribes that still summon them that’s why their is a summoner group that goes around killing them when we busy.
Really, all you need to summon a primal is a bunch of aspected crystals and a fervent belief that many people share. Tons of people in thavnair already worship the manusya, the problem is getting the required amount of crystals past all the authorities.

Yeah. They also learned how to do it without any of the traps that Lahabrea put in the summoning rituals he taught them so there's no downside to casting summon giant monster now.

The advanced part about it is maintaining a very strict rotation on a strict timer during fights that usually expect you to move a lot. BLM has the tools to deal with all that movement, but it requires knowledge of the fight and requires you to think ahead and when and how to use these tools for movement rather than for boosting your damage rotation. It's not absolutely insane but it's more effort than most other jobs require.
Black mage in my experience is just annoying to play. The rotation changes every 10 levels or so and you are constantly managing a timer with your elements.
When you get into a flow its fine. Its reliant on also knowing boss patterns so you don't frick your timers up.
Overall, I guess its fine, just annoying.
The only hard part is knowing exactly where to stand ahead of time to not get your casts interrupted. Their target dummy gameplay is not that much harder than any other class really.
Black Mage is about learning the fights and knowing where to stand for extended periods of time without needing to move rather than the rotation itself being hard.

It's not so much planting as RDM, but needing to abuse slidecasting to get anywhere if you used all your instas for procs. Literally nobody believes me when I say that RDM is the least mobile caster, they point to corps and displacement as if you can fricking use them to go left/right or not go straight off the edge unless you're bang in the middle of the arena.
I used it to reach the back flare in zeromus ex just to look flashy. It's almost completely useless but the few times I can use it effectively make it all worth it.
It has an extreme version of the thing where jobs don't really become themselves until Lv70/80/etc cap, in that you entirely abandon old rotations and spells to use the newest ones.

The notes for Diablo Armament describe it as being constructed to act as a perfect vessel for a specific voidsent to be called into, and when you begin the battle it begins "accessing spectral data" or something like that. Basically it has a built-in summoning ritual. Which isn't unheard of at all, since that's also what the Necrologos does.

The bulk of it is coming in 7.0. Things like the skin, hair, grass, lighting, etc. are happening all at once in 7.0 but they said that not all gear is going to have the updated textures and materials right away and that NPCs with custom faces excluding the scions are going to come later. They specifically said there's going to be a period of time where you can see fully updated people standing next to non-updated characters but that this was going to be limited to older expansions. Over the course of 7.X they're going to be applying it to the rest of the game. Probably like how each patch of Endwalker added trusts to MSQ dungeons an expansion at a time.

In general I want warrior to feel like a warrior, not like a axe paladin healer.
Drk: Rework This job from the ground up offensive wise add more magic looking effects, also make its animations look better, Maybe allow Dark Arts to work with defensive abilities, Examples would be: DA Dark Mind, turns ability physical, DA: Oblation turns this into a targetable life steal effect, DA: Shadow Wall, Turns it into a short mitigation but a lot weaker ect. I think Also your party wide should become a Barrier ability as that actually fits dark knight. Job should remain somewhat busy but, not only in bursts I want it to be also busy in downtime, not to the same level obviously but just more consistent weaving throughout your encounter instead of spamming buttons in burst.

Is Black Mage as advanced and difficult as the average FFXIV player likes to parrot?
I'm thinking about trying to learn and get good at it before dawntrail.
The advanced part about it is maintaining a very strict rotation on a strict timer during fights that usually expect you to move a lot. BLM has the tools to deal with all that movement, but it requires knowledge of the fight and requires you to think ahead and when and how to use these tools for movement rather than for boosting your damage rotation. It's not absolutely insane but it's more effort than most other jobs require.
Black mage in my experience is just annoying to play. The rotation changes every 10 levels or so and you are constantly managing a timer with your elements.
When you get into a flow its fine. Its reliant on also knowing boss patterns so you don't frick your timers up.
Overall, I guess its fine, just annoying.
The only hard part is knowing exactly where to stand ahead of time to not get your casts interrupted. Their target dummy gameplay is not that much harder than any other class really.

Yeah, it feels RDM has to plant way more often than BLM. BLM just has the ball and chain called ley lines around the ankle.
It's not so much planting as RDM, but needing to abuse slidecasting to get anywhere if you used all your instas for procs. Literally nobody believes me when I say that RDM is the least mobile caster, they point to corps and displacement as if you can fricking use them to go left/right or not go straight off the edge unless you're bang in the middle of the arena.
No-one even uses displacement anymore.
I used it to reach the back flare in zeromus ex just to look flashy. It's almost completely useless but the few times I can use it effectively make it all worth it.
And then your rotation calls for you to use those insta-casts for damage output. What then?

The bulk of it is coming in 7.0. Things like the skin, hair, grass, lighting, etc. are happening all at once in 7.0 but they said that not all gear is going to have the updated textures and materials right away and that NPCs with custom faces excluding the scions are going to come later. They specifically said there's going to be a period of time where you can see fully updated people standing next to non-updated characters but that this was going to be limited to older expansions. Over the course of 7.X they're going to be applying it to the rest of the game. Probably like how each patch of Endwalker added trusts to MSQ dungeons an expansion at a time.
Guess my NG+ run will have to wait for the time between 7.5 and 8.0

As much as I prefer the easier Jobs, not every Job should have the same level of difficulty; that means not every Job should feel like "juggling chainsaws", as well.

Well the map layout makes it really difficult to PVP, they took away the extra pathways the pits had in old shatter, these changes wont fix that.
It's the opposite. Now players are going to be spread all over the place because there are way too many active tomeliths, and you now get half as many points for killing players.
