I'm surprised it took an average player this long to figure out the game's just going through the motions and always have been. I knew this back in 2015 when Heavensward came out.
The average player (which changed with the massive influx into the game in Shadowbringers) wasn't caught up on content before now. Now that they are, they're seeing how little there actually is to do on a patch to patch basis. That being said I still feel that 6.x has been a disappointment. Nothing they've put out has felt substantial. It's all one-and-done stuff and a very bad and pointless island management sim.

Unironically yes, because it's not just fates in Bozja, you have CEs and Duels and Castrum. In Eureka you're proactively spawning them and not reactively going to ones that randomly spawn.

The entire theme of Dawntrail is "Discovery and Adventure". They really, really don't want to spoil the expansion which is incredibly frustrating at the moment, but will be very satisfying once we have the actual expac in our hands.
Koji translated many, many times what Yoshi was saying they want us to discover the World and the game and not for them to tell us in presentations like previous PLL and FF events.

Every japanese game sucks at sound design, it's always weak and muted and shit because Japs only care about animations and music. Devs probably play with sound effects off. If you want satisfying, visceral sound design play a western game.

The moronic wiki lists them as Voidsetn which is literally impossible because they're fricking ayylmaos. They're the only things we encounter in Ultima Thule that aren't dynamis constructs made by Meteion, and their lore indicates they are some eldritch entities that seek destruction.
Guarantee they are not only what caused Meteion to go full doomer (more like they just tipped her over the edge when she was already dooming) but they were probably behind the dissappearance of the first world Meteion found (Ostrakon Hena, the location of the bar we make for the Omicron tribe questline). They probably have some affiliation with Ultima too.

If XI is canon to XIV in terms of sharing the same universe instead of just interdimensional leaps, the Void is more vast than you realize. All of the cosmos is functionally one larger Cloud of Darkness that decides at pure random as a force of nature to destroy worlds, and XI just got the absolute convenient amount of frickery and reality-changing circumstances to subvert it. Even if you subtract XI from the equation and just have XIV in its own reality, Meteion isn't even a god, she just happened to harness emotional energy in powerful amounts and incidentally drove planets to despair in the meanwhile, inclining there's still likely more powerful forces out there in the universe.

I'm surprised it took an average player this long to figure out the game's just going through the motions and always have been. I knew this back in 2015 when Heavensward came out.
The average player (which changed with the massive influx into the game in Shadowbringers) wasn't caught up on content before now. All of the cosmos is functionally one larger Cloud of Darkness that decides at pure random as a force of nature to destroy worlds, and XI just got the absolute convenient amount of frickery and reality-changing circumstances to subvert it. Even if you subtract XI from the equation and just have XIV in its own reality, Meteion isn't even a god, she just happened to harness emotional energy in powerful amounts and incidentally drove planets to despair in the meanwhile, inclining there's still likely more powerful forces out there in the universe.
