No different fish have different timers. In the spectral window there are optimal fish to Double hook > recatch >prize catch > triple hook for max points. Usually later than 4s timers. Lulu's ocean fishing website helps a lot with info.
Not him but me and my entire party of 4 I was helping out got over 10k while other people in Limsa were complaining about only getting 6k or less. There is definitely a knowledge gap that makes the ultimog completely free for some but a legitimate challenge for others.
That being said, ocean fishing is RNG but you can't complain about that against people on the same boat as you because you all get the same spectrals.

Generally watermarks like that one are injected on a different UI layer, so it'd be over the entire screenshot. WoW uses a very similar approach to watermarking, and that one encodes your character name, public IP, realm name, and some other identifiers in a dotcode of sorts

It is a really bad performance though. As others have said it's something I'd expect to hear in ARR, not after HW when standards are higher now. And I know there won't be any recasts which is what made me get off the fence and switch to JP once and for all.

Aymeric and Nero in English haven't been voiced since Stormblood for Aymeric and Hw for Nero even though both are popular characters.

They made it harder. Patches took longer. HW is a bit overhated since it did try to introduce new mechanics like DD or Diadem even if not everything worked out but the biggest problem was that Gordias was just a fricking wall. It was genuinely harder than Coil, for most groups required multiple weeks of tomestone gear (even though some people did clear it pretty early) and on top of that the fourth boss's outgoing damage was significantly overtuned. Jobs were also somewhat harder to play optimally than today. Mechanically a lot of encounters today look or are more complex than Gordias but the combination of factors back then almost destroyed raiding (it was before cross-server party finder too). Also

when are we getting news about media tour? im an EW baby i dont even know what they show in these events but from what anons have shared looks like a massive live letter that shows every job actions getting added to new expansion
Media tour happens first and all the e-celebs get to preview shit early so they can make videos about it but they can't release until after the live letter. Then a month or so before release we get a huge 3-4 hour live letter detailing all the expansion changes, a video of the new job actions, and the launch trailer.
Sounds exciting. Dawntrail will be the first expansion to play on patch for a lot of anons. Looking forward to early msq posting with those that do not care about spoilers and jump into Ganker right away.

Benchmark will be early march. The job actions trailer will be around 2 months before launch. Media tour with the full details won't be until around 1 month out. Once the servers go down they do a big 4 hour patch notes read through where they talk about all the new shit in more detail, and some of their logic behind the job changes.

ocean fishing is some of my favorite content, you can either go for achievements, points, or rare fish and each goal has its own subtle tricks to optimize. Even though it takes hundreds of runs to get the achievement, it didn't feel bad at all because it was so engaging. I struggle much more to get hunt achievements or even build up mentor roulette clears in comparison.
I really hope the new Exporatory content is more like Eureka and has cool environments and rare drops like Skool's Claw and the Cassie earrings. Bozja being the worst environments in the entire fricking game made me dread doing it.
bozja is completely appropriate to look bland since it's a warzone but yeah on the player-end it's not great
personally i hope the new exploratory is the void since it really seemed like that's what it was gonna be in 6.1, parts of the void can take whatever form the reigning voidsent wants it to, and we have buddies and field-guides there now with golbez and zero and the unukalhai crew if yoshida feels like acknowledging them, maybe no since they're side content

Bozja really could have done more to make itself more of a warzone
more sounds/effects of distant gunfire/explosions/spell casts outside the playable zone, background npcs fighting on loop, airships occasionally buzzing the combat zone, basically throw the background set dressing from Ghimlyt Dark in
But then it would rape the PS4 because you would have all that + 200 players in one zone at once.
It's almost like open world instances add nothing and it would be better as a zone with like 36 players in it at once maximum.

Wrong homosexual, I did it day of release. I was there for Squib D Day on the beach outside of the first base camp. I was there before trains and an NM maps were even established. Eureka was more fun than Bozja from day one because Bozja was quite literally an endless FATE zerg rush peppered with the occasional half decent FATE that required zero zone coordination.

Not really, they were both equally active for the first few days.
Anemos was slightly more active than Bozja, but the Bozja was far more active than the rest in the long term because unlike Eureka people actually bothered doing Bozja past the first zone. Regardless you could get the same experience by AFKing on Balmung if shitposting shout chat is all you want to do.

So what is ocean fishing anyways besides reusing old 1.0 maps for boat travel? Never bothered with FSH yet besides trying it out with the intent of levelling my gatherers.
it's extremely good experience for FSH if nothing else. The boats leave once every 2 hours, but it's scaled instancing so as long as you register in the 15 minute boarding window you get a spot on the boat. As you level early on, it's literally just spam cast and hook, you can't get a good score until you have high GP and at least level 80 anyway. Ask for help when you're on the boat, people will give you tips on which of the 3 baits to use which helps a lot to collectively proc the special 2 minute events with more valuable fish.

Relics being tied to Eureka was moronic and a mistake (and Bozja since they're 100% identical, they're also just Diadem but with actual rewards shut the frick up Black folk nobody cares about them beyond the carrot on the stick), relic weapons should have existed outside of Eureka/Bozja and Eureka/Bozja should have been their own thing with their own rewards.
