SC2A absolutely walls inexperienced groups, movement is very quick and people have to look out for wings too. Also the fact you need LC consistency to get reps

Now, ranked is dead as frick because most players are sub plat with zero incentive for making the grind all the way to diamond, and once you get plat/diamond the queues start taking forever. Diamond/crystal is already dead. Because while there shouldn’t be deranking from brackets, there should be a falloff if no games are played.
So people like me get their crystal the first week and never touch the mode again for months. We then go ass blast casual, which makes people not want to touch the mode again. The only positive is I’ve seen less blatant cheaters than the early seasons

Last shatter was worse than secure, it needed to be removed it was so bad. Premades would hit 70% winrates, you couldn’t even queue it as a time waster like shitty ass secure.
Really shatter didn’t need to be reworked at all, nobody fricking asked for it. The only thing stupid about old shatter was again premades, but they would just cliff troll with MNKs and shit. They weren’t threatening the entire queue by stomping everyone. Secure needed the rework.

Cards no longer are random you put them out in a fixed order. They just do 5% dps up no matter the target. Playing a card fills your 'arcana' bar. At 100% bar you can use the big AoE 5% damage up. Malefic gets buffed by 20 potency.
This is pretty much a reversion to ShB AST with fixed cards and I don't think fixed cards are likely but I'm pretty cool with building up to Divination instead of it being a cooldown ability. The replacement self-buffs in EW suck ass.
AST is dead either ways. It was such a great conxept in HW and them just gutting it every expansion just sucks. If they completely remove cards you have a flavourless WHM.

I think they're just zombie walking it along since it's a failed concept personally, or at least it is in FFXIV's low/no-support job direction since they want to avoid jobs being absolute must-haves.

Yeah and that's part of my point, between its inane healing thoroughput and its ability to buff it's still a highly desired healing option. They don't know what to do with it, they can't lower its healing thoroughput in return for buffs, it's a "pure" healer and going lower on healing power leads to problems, but healer damage is already low (and the only healers that give a shit about their personal damage beyond keeping the GCD on cooldown are Scholars) so that isn't a realistic counterbalance either. Their solution was to lower buff efficacy and buff variety but having buffs at all that are stronger than Bard's global buffs (which aren't good enough to warrant taking Bard for its own virtues in Endwalker) will pretty much guarantee it's a slot.

Yes, for ARR relics. Blue mages use old materia too. And crafters still use all grades to min max
Define "lower grade," 1/2/3 grade materia are only useful for ARR relics (this doesn't mean they won't sell on the market board) but anything below the current two materia tiers and higher than 1/2/3 is basically useless and should be sold to Kozakura in the Doman Enclave or to a vendor

You can hypothetically grind out the experience by mindlessly gathering (You dont need to be a gathering job) items on the island for tiny experience over days. Not really, because the experience you get from the workshops isn't actually based on what you make. You basically get a fixed amount of EXP each week assuming all slots are filled. What does change is how you can maximize the currency you get there based on what you make.

I tried replaying WoW recently, was healing on my MW monk in one of those new "trust dungeons".
The game is still autistic as frick, I had 10 different procs and upkeeps I had to force myself to use, and the talent tree barely showcases the "complete results" of my choices since they barely add any extra description to my abilities, they keep most of the procs in the talents.
I bounced back and uninstalled the game after 2 hours.

How many people have cleared a given ultimate? I'd be surprised if any DC had 5k clears. And how many views? The largest xiv stream I've seen was like 1.2k views?

My problem is I spend my Gil on things so I don't have a lot on hand or banked. I use it as shortcut money for things that are normally something you have to grind for.
I don't know how to make gil, I don't really try though. I actively undercut marketboard frickers whenever I get something too. It isn't like you ever really need the stuff.
