Asura's Rod is also a good glow-up on Stardust Rod since it's straight up the same weapon with some added satellite bits and a higher poly-count. Check out Ifrit's Rod and Hailstorm Rod too, I was on a bender looking for "crystal on top of a stick" rods like muh SNES games and those were the closest I found.

I only had fun in dungeons in stormblood because you could still DA+AD spam. Rotation wise yea, DA spam became even more obnoxious. But I still miss the skill and animation. HW just had the perfect rotation, FOR ME. And there was that certain risk if you fricked up that kept things interesting. Plus scourge was a cool ability to manage in-between. I doubt they'll do anything interesting except for ENHANCED PLUNGE II or ENHANCED UNMEN II BABY. I just miss pressing buttons man.

They should just unlock all skills and traits at 50 at this point. For 8.0 that will be my biggest wish with the second stat squish and potential level squish. At this point in XIV there is absolutely no reason for jobs to feel incomplete after ARR.

By 7.5, we will be dealing more damage against bosses with tankier health bars than those from 5.4 and 5.5, especially with forays returning. A second stat squish couples perfectly with the first level squish. There's no way we go to lvl 110.

They're not going to plateau anything because it's an MMO, there needs to be growth of some sort. XIV will never go down the path of horizontal progression, so the only answers are to keep going up or reset progress. A reset is far more likely because Yoshida copies WoW when he can and they've done level squishes before.

gear for purposes of transmog alone is already the single best carrot the game can shell out, adding glamour gear with all the same restrictions of acquisition (i.e. weekly lockouts as an over-time reward) and the same acquisition methods would probably result in no perceived difference for most players
if i were to guess on item-level increases it would be INCREDIBLY smaller and more granular after the end of dawntrail, a noticeable power climb over previous gear but not enough to significantly weight performance metrics relative to non-savage gear. something like a total ilvl climb of 10 to 20 from artifact armor to end-of-expac gear instead of 105 from abel's lance to mandervillous/asphodelos on dragoon

if any time would be it for big restructures on a lot of jobs it would be now yeah, it's either that or they just stop adding to jobs from now on. they did mention that they're almost certainly not going to increase the level cap past 100 but there's gonna have to be some kind of meta-progression system past that to keep the hamster wheel going, who knows what form it will take
It's not happening until 8.0. DT is 100% more of the same as EW. More skills pruned at lower levels to make room for a new button at 91-100, still 120s burst, still bosses with hitboxes the size of a janny. Skills are the most boring part of an expansion now, the only two jobs I'm interested in are DRG and AST because of their reworks, and they could just as easily frick them up again.
All parts of larger reworks or in Ageha/Seigan's case part of everyone losing equivalent skills for being fluff
Also you didn't have Seigan until level 66
