You had to be there, the game ran in japan for a year before opening up to the world, all of which played on the same servers located in japan. The japanese are/were extremely xenophobic and made it very clear they were not happy with the hordes taking over "their" game. For a solid 5-6 years there was nonstop bickering, hate, and outright harassment not just from the players but from the GMs as well, it wasn't until the GM handbook was leaked where we saw that there was a real and purposeful mistreatment of foreign players that things started to turn around.

I'm going to Ultros as soon as DC travel is made from the EU to NA as that's the only server in your lands I've heard is fun the rest are either too spergy, too degenerate like Balmung or full of content creators/ streamers.
The community will move to wherever the clubs and events are held at any point, and advertising of course will increase on all DC's.
Getting a house in EU is much easier than NA so I'd imagine a lot of NA players would make characters in EU just so they can get a house and host shit there for NA players

As someone who played on NA, EU and JP, I guarantee you that this will never happen. NA players are batshit insane and get offended over every single thing. Bun FATEs and Warped Lockbox farming are both good ways to get consistent money
You can get consistent money from Logograms too, you passively get them from bun treasure or you can farm them from mobs with a group
I suggest getting some +2 armor and a weapon to make things a little smoother

Odin for example if very different to Raiden on Light, Odin is the homosexualry old gay server with lots of well established old FC's and older players Raiden is a lot newer/ younger and more laid back. The point I'm making, you're generalising a lot and casting a wide net over the entire player base and the entire game. But my experience of the game is so vastly different to your own, from what you have wrote I can only surmise, perhaps where you play is a big factor.

I love the look of some of the dungeons, I hope in DT some of the open World can show some of that off. I think my favourite so far has been the 6.5 dungeon Lunar Subterrane where it ends with the castle. It looked so good, but I want to see that level of detail in the Overworld, I'd love nothing more.

Honestly? Dungeons do always tend to look a lot better than the overworld. Maybe it's because they can be more specific with the lighting sources? Or because the environment is smaller, they can cram more into it? Take the last bit of the Aetherfont for example. That cave bit with the blue glow looks way better and more interesting than most zones.
Exactly and it annoys me how much effort they put in for the dungeons when for a lot of people they're one and done outside of duty roulette once in a blue moon or if you're a raider specifically grinding for a BIS slot accessory.
I'm saw the trailer shots of the new zones and some of them do look really good so I've got some reason to hope at least.

That said, I really liked the look at those zone with the glowing plants, and the forest zone, didn't care much for the mountains they looked a bit crap but more than anything I need to see what it looks like on my own PC and the wait is unbearable.

The japanese are/were extremely xenophobic and made it very clear they were not happy with the hordes taking over "their" game. For a solid 5-6 years there was nonstop bickering, hate, and outright harassment not just from the players but from the GMs as well, it wasn't until the GM handbook was leaked where we saw that there was a real and purposeful mistreatment of foreign players that things started to turn around.

Bun FATEs and Warped Lockbox farming are both good ways to get consistent money
You can get consistent money from Logograms too, you passively get them from bun treasure or you can farm them from mobs with a group
I suggest getting some +2 armor and a weapon to make things a little smoother

WoW is unique in how it's playerbase acts, not just to eachother but to the wider world as well. I love the look of some of the dungeons, I hope in DT some of the open World can show some of that off. I think my favourite so far has been the 6.5 dungeon Lunar Subterrane where it ends with the castle. It looked so good, but I want to see that level of detail in the Overworld, I'd love nothing more.

Honestly? Dungeons do always tend to look a lot better than the overworld. Maybe it's because they can be more specific with the lighting sources? Or because the environment is smaller, they can cram more into it? Take the last bit of the Aetherfont for example. That cave bit with the blue glow looks way better and more interesting than most zones.
Exactly and it annoys me how much effort they put in for the dungeons when for a lot of people they're one and done outside of duty roulette once in a blue moon or if you're a raider specifically grinding for a BIS slot accessory.
I'm saw the trailer shots of the new zones and some of them do look really good so I've got some reason to hope at least.

I'm hopeful but leaning more to wait and see, more hopeful as this is the first time they've specifically said they're "updating graphics" I'm not expecting anything crazy here and it's still an mmo with a very old game engine at it's core so my expectations are realistic. That said, I really liked the look at those zone with the glowing plants, and the forest zone, didn't care much for the mountains they looked a bit crap but more than anything I need to see what it looks like on my own PC and the wait is unbearable.
Solution 9 looked kinda neat, but knowing that like 90% of what you see won't be accessible and it's really just a small 5x5 square of a few small buildings kind of kills the interest
