The best fights are the ones that have don't have instant wipe mechanics, but which have a bunch of tough mechanics one after another. That way you still get punished for fricking up and mistakes can and often will lead to a party wipe, but there's a possibility (however remote) of recovering if your party can think quick. Plus there's something more satisfying about a scrappy clear.
I will however make an exception for instant wipes IF it's like a massive explosion if you get it wrong. Light Rampant is fricking annoying but it is very funny that if anyone makes a single mistake it's basically like a nuke going off, like playing 8 simultaneous games of Operation hooked up to the Tsar Bomba.

Sophia was fun because you could have like 20 deaths and still clear. Fights really just need to have more lenient enrage timers.
Nael is the peak of encounter design because of this.
You get mechanics always but in a random order, the boss doesn't hard wipe you until enrage, but as people fail quotes the boss gets harder and harder because the iceballs get fricked, stacks hurt more and people get double targeted.

Everyone raids on Light DC nowadays.

I'm a Ragnarok player but not high level enough to raid. We have a lot of visitors from other servers and some of my FC does ultimates.
Light had the better scene for ultimates because of LPDU. When DC travel first came out we had an equal amount of savage on both, but ultimate raiders all went to Light. Gradually this led to making your PF on Light being a good idea even for savage, because there are ultimate raiders hanging out there so your party will fill faster (and potentially with slightly better players). After about a month of that feedback loop running, Chaos PF is dead and people even DC travel to do their weekly Unreal.

No. Its one of the easiest mechanically but to minimize movement you need to memorize aoe patterns unlike all the other ranged jobs who can just wing it.
I wonder how pictomancer will be in that regard. It'll probably have shorter casts overall but fewer instant cast options.
Pictomancer seems to operate on some kind of stance or priority system since when it's casting mimic spells from WHM/BLM you can see it both gaining and losing a buff as it switches between elements
Going by the trailer, it looks like 1.5 for basic spells like healers and 3 for the bigger paintings. It might be that they have some super long cast times that are reduced by spending stacks you get from the basic spells.

I started during EW and picked BLM because I couldn't start as DRK. BLM is not a "complex" job but suffers the most from fighting blind, because you can't use all the instant cast abilities that you are given to make your job work.
Unironically I think MNK has the most going on and is the most complex to play optimally in the heat of battle. Together they are my favourite caster and favourite melee

CT, or at least Syrcus Tower, should be revamped and updated from the top down.
Syrcus is definitely most in need of a rework. Nobody knows what to do with Scylla's balls because you can just power through them, Labolas hasn't been able to do any of his unique things in years to the point where the outside towers are just decoration, and none of Xande's attacks kill outside of Ancient Quaga but you can sometimes survive that anyway.
Amon is fine, I think. If they want they can maybe try to retroactively tie in EW stuff but honestly I'd prefer if he was left alone.

No. Only the iron giant can destroy the comets. The towers just turn back on after a while and can be destroyed by the bomb adds which prevent them being turned back off.
It's infinitely more frustrating wiping in easy content than it is wiping in hard content. Because if you're wiping on easy content it means you're playing with the absolute most room temperature IQ motherfrickers the game has to offer.

Who cares about instant death or wipe mechanics. I wish dungeon bosses would actually have some kind of damage. There's so little to heal in them, that you don't even need a healer. Worst case a tank and a dps decide to do 75% of the fight by themselves if the other two die early.

They get mentioned all the way back in Haukke Manor, they made the minions for the Shadow of Mhach raids, and most recently he apparently was once the last true puppetmaster of the reaper dolls in Garlemald. What's his deal? Is he still alive? What's his endgame?
Combination of running joke and lore point, he's the most well versed Source character on the Void that's known ti exist. He also scares the frick out of that one mindflayer in Zero's domain. Personally I think whenever Puppetmaster gets added to the game he'll end up being the job tutor.

You need two mp ticks with two stacks of Umbral Ice and one tick of Lucid Dreaming for enough MP to cast one Firaga, three Firajas, and one Despair in your next Astral Fire phase if you don't have a Firestarter proc
You do have to consider that depending on the situation and the flow of the fight you are going through, you have to adapt your rotation. The basics are always the same, where you build up 3 umbral hearts and then move to fire to do fire 3x4/paradox/3x3/despair/manafont/1x4/despair and ideally you never really want to move away from that, what you do have to optimize is when it's worth to triplecast in order to keep your enochian up or to just be able to dodge stuff. Reading a guide is a bit of a mess because while there is of course a perfect and optimal opener you can't just use it universally like with most classes, sometimes it will be worth it to delay laylines or to keep extra stacks of triplecast.
Basically: go with the flow, never waste GCDs for sharpcast, don't let xenoglossy stacks get wasted and remember it's always acceptable to cast one less fire IV if by doing that you avoid losing enochian because that's where the actual big damage loss is.

You gotta skip blizzard 3 and 4 by transposing into and out of astral fire for huge gains, it'll get easier once you have the paradox spell
Transpose lines are not a substantial DPS increase for most players. Learn the basics before learning the complicated, non-standard lines.

One of the hidden dangers of BLM is that it takes some time to heat up, so getting in faster is always good. Remember that the biggest DPS loss is always losing your stance and having to manually restart it, so if you frick up and have to lose a fire IV or despair so you have enough time to refresh the timer or switch into blizzard, so be it. Just don't use triplecast to get started, that's your insurance policy for when you're forced to move a lot, try to keep them in reserve where possible. Also don't neglect sharpcast if able, generally you can rely on a natural thundercloud proc, but not always, so it's nice to have that assurance. They give you two charges for a reason.

DPS stands for damage per second.

right click the game on steam -> manage -> CD keys. you then need to log into the mog station and put your codes there. no idea if it will take a while for you to get the keys

Because it's not a dead game, most people who play don't interact with zoom zoom places like twitch. Think of it like voting, you have the very vocal minority who make up 5%-10% of the game and the silent majority who make up 90%+ of the game. It's how the ffxiv playerbase is.
