I also didn't care much for Moenbryda but the scene where you meet her parents really got to me. I guess parents losing a child is one of my weaknesses.

I didn't skip most of the cutscenes and I genuinely forgot most of ARR. I don't know how it's like to have taste so shit that you think ARR is remotely good. It doesn't deserve to exist and is an abomination of a game.
ARR sets up almost 100% of every bit of payoff in the entire game.
Everything at the current end of the game except for Zenos, and Meteion has roots in ARR.
I couldn't care less. I still enjoyed EW and Shb. Any content from ARR is pure garbage to the point that it genuinely makes the game worse than it needs to be. Actual dogshit fricking design decisions that are so painfully archaic it makes the first Doom look advanced.

I find it funny how Papalymo's death was "ah, okay then, carry on" tier of emotional engagement. I feel like if they'd kill say Lyse in 7.0 no one would even bother mentioning it after one "yeah we're mourning, BUT" msq quest.
The same thing happened for Thancred and Y'Shtola though, when everyone thought they might've died. And for Minfilia only Thancred was visibly upset by it.
The Scions each have their favorites but are otherwise steadfast. The only thing that cannot come to pass is the WoL and the twins must not die, that would suck bigly and everyone is visibly shaken at the prospect.
It's mostly because the Scions have their shit down together well enough that they won't break down or start mourning in the middle of the action. Moenbryda died in a period of relative calmness, it was just that ascian c**t that broke in and fricked shit up, so afterwards everyone was left with just the shock and nothing else to do but mourn her. With Papalymo everyone was like "Oh god a war just broke out". Plus the ones that would have mourned him specially there were Lyse and Y'shtola and Y'shtola immediately got taken out by Zenos afterwards. Same with Ysayle too, she died in the middle of the chase for Thordan, so nobody had time to stop and be sad. And same with UT where nobody's "death" generates as much panic as WoL's even though it wasn't even the worst death, simply because after all the smoke cleared that was the one threatening to actually happen (and because Square wanted to give the players a handjob).

The level 70 Genji gear looks alright, I think you can buy the non dyeable version in Kugane at the tome npc for tomes. As for that body piece, I don't think its in game.
NPCs got a lot of unique gear that WoL can't access, I remember seeing an npc in Limsa with a vest and shirt chest piece I'd have loved for a glam but it's NOWHERE in the game.

It's absolutely possible to, just tight. Food isn't too necessary, some people even take out the food buff in behemoth since ecliptic meteor does percentage damage and most people try the heal strategy rather than the tincture strategy.
Anyway yes food is a pain in the ass, the only thing you really need for the higher floors is high vitality.
So I went out and crafted some HQ Liver-cheese Sandwich. As far as I can tell it's the only +10% VIT food available to me.
Of course I made tens of it to last me through different attempts and when I am done with it... Well I guess I'll craft more.

I'll do my best bro, I've been looking up so many videos about Palace it seems insane that this is just a random side thing that not a lot of people even attempt. It's a very nice challenge.
Do you have some tips on behemoth btw? On MCH or SMN since these are the ones I run.
Right now my strategy is to get him to 30%, start saving up cooldowns, reach 22%, use 5 lust attacks, try my best to take him to 15,0% (I have a macro to tell my his decimal percentage) and then blow my load right there.
It's difficult to do a proper rotation in the middle of it all though, very scary fight.

yeah, that's pretty much the strat for it. though i wouldn't do 15.0%, maybe 15.1 or 15.2 cause 15.0 is really really pushing it to enrage. just watch that angelus dude on youtube, he knows the optimal burst for behemoth usually for most class.

I've choked multiple times on 190 boss more than Behemoth, so best I can give advice for that is have another monitor or a phone on hand for the bomb spawns. They're all fixed and you want to always position the boss directly on them. Save your Flight/Rage poms for 187-189, you really don't want to lose time because a bunch of chimeras is on patrol.

i wanna say yes and no. mobs are easier to tackle because most of them are either sight/sound based, but they still hit like a truck so better use those steel poms wisely especially if you get bad rng like early gloom. and since it's the final stretch you're more likely to be nervous and choke. if you have spare flight/rage for 190+, it's an ez gg

It's fricking ass really. The damage is so good though, you fly through those first floors and even dangerous enemies are more than doable thanks to kiting. Not to mention how much better sleep is than bind.
I would still avoid shit like Anzus though, it's doable with machinist but with SMN that's another story
I do want to try WAR for a spin one day due to raw intuition existing (haven't tried it yet but I imagine that skill by itself makes potions almost redundant) , but I am afraid of it being slow as shit

Criterion would have been the perfect opportunity to get a harder dungeon experience for casual players. But NOPE, it had to cater to the raid crowd because of course it needs to. Casuals are pretty starved for any meaningful combat content so far.

Something where you need to be able to play your class to succeed but not something that requires fricking floorplan charts or 10 minute Mr. Happy guides to even grasp. Fights that are more reasonably reactive and doable while requiring tanks to be able to migrate/position well, healers to actually heal well and DPS to play their class to a certain minimum DPS. Content like that does not exist and I have no idea why.

Do leveling, main scenario, alliance raid, and frontlines (you can swap to any job you want in it, as long as you queue in on the job you want to get EXP) on roulette if you just want EXP. Maybe trials too, just for how short most are even if they give less exp.

I don't know what online advice you were given but it was bad advice, very bad advice. Early dungeons are where the learning happens and where the wipes you experienced are supposed to happen. If you have a friend who plays, you can ask them for a quick rundown, or continue and learn as you go. If you have any specific questions right now you can ask ofc.

Usually people will work with you and be patient if you say you're new to the dungeon or fight, but you'll typically be met with silence.

I find it funny how Papalymo's death was "ah, okay then, carry on" tier of emotional engagement. I feel like if they'd kill say Lyse in 7.0 no one would even bother mentioning it after one "yeah we're mourning, BUT" msq quest.
The same thing happened for Thancred and Y'Shtola though, when everyone thought they might've died. And for Minfilia only Thancred was visibly upset by it.
The Scions each have their favorites but are otherwise steadfast. The only thing that cannot come to pass is the WoL and the twins must not die, that would suck bigly and everyone is visibly shaken at the prospect.
It's mostly because the Scions have their shit down together well enough that they won't break down or start mourning in the middle of the action. Moenbryda died in a period of relative calmness, it was just that ascian c**t that broke in and fricked shit up, so afterwards everyone was left with just the shock and nothing else to do but mourn her. With Papalymo everyone was like "Oh god a war just broke out". Plus the ones that would have mourned him specially there were Lyse and Y'shtola and Y'shtola immediately got taken out by Zenos afterwards. Same with Ysayle too, she died in the middle of the chase for Thordan, so nobody had time to stop and be sad. And same with UT where nobody's "death" generates as much panic as WoL's even though it wasn't even the worst death, simply because after all the smoke cleared that was the one threatening to actually happen (and because Square wanted to give the players a handjob).
Unlike Papalymo, Ysayle's death got mentioned multiple times by Estinien and Alphinaud. Estinien even left some flowers for her

It's absolutely possible to, just tight. Food isn't too necessary, some people even take out the food buff in behemoth since ecliptic meteor does percentage damage and most people try the heal strategy rather than the tincture strategy.
Anyway yes food is a pain in the ass, the only thing you really need for the higher floors is high vitality.
So I went out and crafted some HQ Liver-cheese Sandwich. As far as I can tell it's the only +10% VIT food available to me.
Of course I made tens of it to last me through different attempts and when I am done with it... Well I guess I'll craft more.

Right now my strategy is to get him to 30%, start saving up cooldowns, reach 22%, use 5 lust attacks, try my best to take him to 15,0% (I have a macro to tell my his decimal percentage) and then blow my load right there.
It's difficult to do a proper rotation in the middle of it all though, very scary fight.
yeah, that's pretty much the strat for it. though i wouldn't do 15.0%, maybe 15.1 or 15.2 cause 15.0 is really really pushing it to enrage. just watch that angelus dude on youtube, he knows the optimal burst for behemoth usually for most class.

Gotta say that after behemoth it's the 181-190 floors that scare me the most. Shit looks daunting as hell.
I've choked multiple times on 190 boss more than Behemoth, so best I can give advice for that is have another monitor or a phone on hand for the bomb spawns. They're all fixed and you want to always position the boss directly on them. Save your Flight/Rage poms for 187-189, you really don't want to lose time because a bunch of chimeras is on patrol.

i wanna say yes and no. mobs are easier to tackle because most of them are either sight/sound based, but they still hit like a truck so better use those steel poms wisely especially if you get bad rng like early gloom. and since it's the final stretch you're more likely to be nervous and choke. if you have spare flight/rage for 190+, it's an ez gg

did a lvl 50 dungeon roulette, only got ~20% xp w/ menphina's earring, food buff and fc xp buff
p sure the erraing, food, and FC buff only apply to killing shit rather than the roulette bonus.
50/60/70/80 dungeons give almost no exp. You do them for tomes.
Do leveling, main scenario, alliance raid, and frontlines (you can swap to any job you want in it, as long as you queue in on the job you want to get EXP) on roulette if you just want EXP. Maybe trials too, just for how short most are even if they give less exp.
And do fairy tribe quests in ShB zone too.

I don't know what online advice you were given but it was bad advice, very bad advice. Early dungeons are where the learning happens and where the wipes you experienced are supposed to happen. If you have a friend who plays, you can ask them for a quick rundown, or continue and learn as you go. If you have any specific questions right now you can ask ofc.
I won't lie, it's kinda more like the community is conditioned to not rage out and having melties since if you get reported square gms are simultaneously draconian and incompetent, and nobody's gonna risk their account to be aggressive to a noob. Usually people will work with you and be patient if you say you're new to the dungeon or fight, but you'll typically be met with silence.
