Some specs absolutely destroy others in WoW and basically force people to completely give up on playing certain specs or classes for multiple balance patches or expansions because they flat out get denied for M+ and raiding. Until some guy finds out some wacky combo that passively doubles his damage and then you would be a fool to not run it. XIV jobs are often always within 5% of each other while theres times in WoW where specs can do double the damage, often at random, than others.
That's just WoW's style of flavor of the month balancing. Everyone gets their turn being OP and their turning being shit. That said, I think there are usually some specs that never get their time in the sun and are always just mediocre at best.

I don't imagine the translators always have notes on what dialogue corresponds to what npc, especially on such minor ones so such mistakes are occasionally made. Not true actually, do the new Omega quests from the latest patch. He mentions in optional dialogue when you escort him through Thavnair that he was in fact an Omicron and had a normal omicron body at one point before he was transfered into his signature 4-legged body eventually.

You can click a rock, tree, and fishing net once a day to get some old materials. The nodes rank up after you use them 90 times and you get a costume and title when they're max rank. And the daily visit currency you can spend 30 of for a costume and minion, or boost a node to get double items.
tldr: it'll be mmo daily visit. even shorter than getting your cactpot ticket except you have to skip five cutscenes

Worse considering they split up into zones to work on consoles. You'd think they'd put more effort to make each Zone stand out.

If they did, they very easily could have just animated her crouching down to hug a lalafell player character. A crouching hug animation already exists, in fact. the idea that you can’t have intimate interactions with NPCs because of lalafell is pure nonsense. you can’t have intimate interactions with NPCs because Square Enix does not want you to, and it’s as simple as that

I think they’re both ok. WoW has always gone for a more cartoony quirky theme in its art style. I don’t like it myself and much prefer XIV’s more mature style, but to each their own.
WoW's art style really has amazing highs and lows, like when it hits it looks fantastic but some of its designs are pure dogshit. It's environments are absolutely fantastic though, I've considered playing it just to get a chance to to check out those slick frickin' levelling zones.

Healers have been stuck with literally 2 dps buttons for 4 years even though they have to DPS more than half the time and every update they make turns the game slightly worse. People have said you can knock it out in 1-2 weeks casually if you work at it consistently. The main gatekeeper is always animus books. The books take so fricking long it's unreal. But once you have one relic done, you can keep the side quests for a later step and do them at the same time as the books, so you effectively skip a step.

FFXIV has the most garbage customization system I've ever played with, nothing you do matters, gear is just ilvl and there's nothing to choose to build your character.

As someone looking from the other side, WoW content does at least look better to me. They have better raids and dungeons with M+. The concept of island adventures and Torghast seem way better than deep dungeon so far. Now, XIV has lots of QoL and social features while WoW still seems 'gamey' if that makes sense. But I haven't played WoW since MoP so I cant quite understand why they complain so much when they have theoretically tons of content more than XIV.
