And if the 7 wedges prophesy is still relevant, it's going to be the 7 rejoined worlds that must be compensated somehow. The cat is going to figure out how we get to the other shards finally in 6.4 (that's how we get to Golbez).

If the story described them as hyperfocused autists more than massive aether monsters capable of moron strong feats it would be better for future plotlines. You know, to add to this whole "The ancients were literally normal people that didn't know everything" feel they gave you during EW.

WoL is shocked when it happens. It's not that they've lost their humanity, they've never had it, they're completely numb to all of this. And again, it is because they are so powerful, they do this stuff because they can, it comes natural to them.
You talk to the other researchers and they want to experiment on you and turn you into whatever. It's only Hermes and Venat that genuinely feel like real people, one because she's traveled a lot and is very old (and as we know, questions things), the other because he's been around all these unique concepts and seen them snuffed away. Even Emet and Hythlo treat you like a curious pet. They're not human.
And not everyone is as powerful as Venat and Emet, they're unnaturally strong even for their kind.

The way Trancers interpret the ancients actually goes back to the Autistic Paradise thing that was sort of a meme back in the old Encyclopedia Dramatica days. Basically, some autists got this idea that once upon a time there was a perfect society for autists, where nobody had to work, and everyone could just study and work at only the things that interested them. Wakanda for spergs, essentially. This sort of perfect society of spergs is what Amaurot ultimately is. It looks great until you start noticing the plethora of problems it has, but autists by their nature just see it as "a perfect comfy life where nobody made me get a job or do homework, and mean Venat took that away and MADE ME GROW UP!"

Modern Etheirys handled the Final Days when the Ancients couldn't. Why is that, ESL-kun? Because sundered people were emotionally equipped to deal with loss and suffering. The Ancients failed because they were not. This isn't a matter of "dude they're just gods they're emotionally different lol" because we saw firsthand that that is bullshit. The Ancients acting like death isn't a big deal and is actually a good thing was nothing but cope and that was exposed the moment the Final Days hit and suddenly they were willing to totally abandon their protection of the planet if it meant they could dive back into their cozy cope cave.

I personally want them to look at all the Jump skills because High Jump is the only one that really feels good, I also think the Nidhogg focus (Nastrond, Stardiver) in its moveset is confusing now that Dragoon is "moving beyond" just being an Azure Dragoon
DRG was always getting a rework regardless of RPR. There's no where else for it to go in its current form.
I hope they rework Scholar for the same reason, they were openly talking about "we don't know what the frick to do with this job, so here's Expedience" during the job showcases for Endwalker.
The Chain Strategem job could use some work, yes
I doubt Chain Stratagem will ever go away, same as Trick Attack for Ninja, especially because with Scholar it's a stand-in for Libra. I'm more concerned about Energy Drain and Aetherflow, SCH still has the problem where during fight downtime you're going to be spamming Energy Drain just for something to do with it. Sage kinda solved the problem by having separate healing stacks and Toxikon stacks and putting the healing stacks on auto-generation.
Both SCH and AST need reworks. They're fine numbers wise, but feel like ass to play and have no identity. SGE and WHM to a lesser extent actually feel like they have a plan for instead of just slapping random shit on them and seeing what works.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I think acknowledging the forest from the trees would be avoiding getting hung up on individual new mods when looking at what mods are being made/produced relative to the 6+ pages you need to scroll through for one potentially cool mod that isn't just ripped straight out of another game. NIN is fine, just very... wooden. You have one rotation and by the twelve you will keep it rolling for the entire fight. There is no thinking at all, the opener is slightly busy after that its brain afk. If the mob forces you to disengage you might shuffle things around to have a "ranged" moment. If the boss does a mechanic during your opener you might as well uninstall, it is unsalvageable at that point. Shukushi is the coolest movement skill and you might think about making a macro with a <t> so you can use it as a gapcloser*. In PvP it is a "win harder" class and you feel that Stealth does not have a 1 second invul window like every other MMO I have ever played.
*this will teleport you to the MIDDLE of the mob, meaning if its a big one on the outside of the arena it will literally throw you off the cliff.

penumbra is usually one of the first things that gets updated, dalamud comes back within a day or two of a patch at latest, and textools/cmtools still work regardless

The Eden plot only truly matters to things on The First. We can ignore most of it and handwave it off just as easily as Bahamut is handwaved off by Alisaie if we don't help with that. Everyone already knows who Ryne is and Gaia can be summed up in 30 seconds for people who didn't do it.

Honest question: How would you have made Minfillia both needed by the Scions and loved by the players. I had such a hard time connecting in ARR with her that her "sacrifice" barely phased me (mainly because I was mad about them seemingly removing Thancred and Y'shtola). I can barely even remember what she did before that.
They made people somehow love a dogshit character like G'raha just by giving him relevant screen time, so probably just do that
They made 0 effort to make anyone care about Minfillia so nobody does simple as that
But what did she actually do in ARR? She got the Scions together after Louisoix croaked, that much is clear, but after that it seems it was all the other Scions who actually did something. Even talking to the City State leaders was quickly usurped by Alphinaud... with all the consequences that had.
G'raha was fun when he was chuuni and fun when he was wisened but Adoring Fan G'raha is insufferable.

I feel like we didn't get enough time with her, all of our interactions with her felt too formal and we never had a moment to properly bond with her.
ARR's slow start made it hard for me to care about most characters and its only in retrospect do I like ARR.
Mainly just make her more useful and probably should have had at least ONE part of the adventure where we traveled with her, rather than her at most just occasionally showing up at one place where we already got finished. Reason it was easier to bond with Thancred, Y'shtola, Yda and Papalymo is that you get these sections where you're working with them on the field. And even then they'd have been better if they already had figured out the follower/trust system then instead of just making excuses every time there was combat, but I already assumed that was the case and just headcanoned that they were helping the whole time, which made them pretty likable.
