I used to think G'raha was probably superpowered but him not really don't much shit combat wise the entire expansion has reminded me he doesn't actually have any combat prowess, he just sniffs crystals and pretends he's a paladin for the 5 minutes he's energized.

Even though it basically is a bit Moenbryda 2.0 I don't really have any problems with the character itself. The english voice I don't think is great but it's not horrible either. Overall the troony is trying their best but I'd much rather the JP actress instead who is much better and I think fits the idea that they're going for with her character.
Also seems like the facial tech on her seems a bit better? It felt like there was more expressions on her face in cutscenes compared to the others. Maybe it's already been in older cutscenes and I just forgot.
Yeah, they updated the games renderer this patch but somehow made only one model use the new renderer.

Bozja introduced a bunch of gameplay improvements over Eureka (Critical Engagements were a lot better than Eureka NMs as actual fights) and then they COMPLETELY dropped the ball on the actual map design. Bozja maps are hideous and have zero level design (they're just 3 rooms separated by corridors).
Also FATEs spawning on their own meant people were just mindlessly running and never actually talked to each other.
Did you actually read what I said? I liked Critical Engagements as encounters, but I agree with you that most things in Bozja spawning automatically was bad design. Encouraging AFKing is the thing this game needs the least.
What I liked about Bozja was the raids build into both maps (which had dogshit rewards for ages lol) and that Critical Engagements were closer to alliance raid bosses.
Sad to think many CE bosses had more mechanics than anything in Myths of the Realm. Endslop is truly shit.

I honestly tried to get excited for Dawntrail but this patch has pretty much killed all of my interest. Characters are acting and talking like morons moreso than usual, forced "rivalry" that everyone knows will last a few levels and mean nothing. The shitty trial that was half assed just like Varis, the lazy final relic steps, island sanctuary's ending was a wet fart just like the content.
I think it might be over and I'm not a doomer by any means. They blew their load and now have nothing left.
What made me realize CBU3 was a spent force was how utterly forgettable XVI was. They had a much higher budget to work with than they had for any XIV expansion and they churned out a bland corridor game with the difficulty level of expert roulette, XIV MSQ levels of filler, and ARR-tier bland characters. There's no creative spark left in any project left by Yoshida.
For the first time ever I skipped MSQ cutscenes. I felt so bad about it afterwards that I rewatched the ones I skipped in the inn room and found I missed literally nothing of relevance. Just G'raha doing the usual shit he does "My friend....ADVENTURE...the journey my friend, you are the journey....the ADVENTURER!"
I couldn't give less of a frick about the writing anymore and in hindsight while the overall structure is fine, there's so much pointless drivel and fart-sniffing.
They keep trying to force the word adventurer when your character is not that anymore. It feels like posing and cope with how they keep trying to ram that term down our throats.

my problem with wuks EN voice is they decided to use a white troon to put on some kind of accent and since it's NA, it can't keep the accent consistent. the American accent on some pronunciations on words are very apparent and switches back to this pseudo-spanish accent. what makes the VA bad is not because it's a troony but because it's an American

BRD is the highest DPS in P6 of the fight out of the 3 by like 1%, but first you had to get through the dps checks of the other phases. Where bringing bard was actually trolling, especially if you run a buff heavy comp.

I don't think G'raha and Y'shtola will compete. G'raha made it pretty clear that he is going to focus on the Students of Baldesion while Krile is adventuring. He might get some missions in Tural but that's it. Y'shtola's absence in 6.55 seems to imply that she'll be absent from the competition and have other interests in Tural as well.
Estinien just wants to go on an adventure, but I feel like he might eventually support the underdog of the competition.
If he (and Estinien and Y'shtola) weren't going to be in the MSQ they wouldn't have been in the trailer. Y'shtola and Estinien probably tag along on their own free will and just dick around until shit starts getting serious, but G'raha sounds like he's going to actively choose to stay behind, so I don't know how he ends up in Tural.

I haven't subbed since 6.1 and Dawntrail isn't making me want to come back. The void shard shit felt like it was moving at a snail's pace and I could no give less of a frick about the 12 gods after they sat out the entire MSQ. Zero was a prime cutie but it was hard to feel attached to her when I could tell that squeenix was going to snatch her away in the next patches. Vrtra was cool i guess. I don't know, I just don't feel the hype like I used to for this game.
Side note: It really pissed me off that they toned down Alisae's WoL crush in EW when she was practically leaking over them in ShB. I can't stand G'raha's dicksucking but I could at least tolerate it if I had a female equivalent to balance it out.
I haven't even finished 6.4 yet. I will get dawntrail, viper looks neat and I am still at the point of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Dawntrail is just my make or break moment, where if they frick up and fumble then it'll decide if I keep playing regularly or not. But it's definitely concerning to me that I'm getting the stormblood situation where I literally stop giving a shit during the patches and feel absolutely no compulsion to want to complete it or do content.
Right now my guess is that Tural and the succession story is going to be a steaming pile of shit but the second half with Solution 9 will be good. As yoshi said something something about two halves and how the 2nd half would be diff from the first. SE is just plain awful at political stories
I don't know but that was annoying. He doesn't get to talk about wonderful adventures and shit like that and then decides he's going to stay home. I own his ass.

Even though it basically is a bit Moenbryda 2.0 I don't really have any problems with the character itself. The english voice I don't think is great but it's not horrible either. Overall the troony is trying their best but I'd much rather the JP actress instead who is much better and I think fits the idea that they're going for with her character.
Also seems like the facial tech on her seems a bit better? It felt like there was more expressions on her face in cutscenes compared to the others. Maybe it's already been in older cutscenes and I just forgot.
She looked higher quality, I think FemHroths are already updated graphically but that could just be my imagination.

Also FATEs spawning on their own meant people were just mindlessly running and never actually talked to each other.

I honestly tried to get excited for Dawntrail but this patch has pretty much killed all of my interest. Characters are acting and talking like morons moreso than usual, forced "rivalry" that everyone knows will last a few levels and mean nothing. The shitty trial that was half assed just like Varis, the lazy final relic steps, island sanctuary's ending was a wet fart just like the content.
I think it might be over and I'm not a doomer by any means. They blew their load and now have nothing left.
Honestly at this point I think even the dev team considers EW a mistake and really, really want to make distance from it.
What made me realize CBU3 was a spent force was how utterly forgettable XVI was. They had a much higher budget to work with than they had for any XIV expansion and they churned out a bland corridor game with the difficulty level of expert roulette, XIV MSQ levels of filler, and ARR-tier bland characters. There's no creative spark left in any project left by Yoshida.
Reminder FF14 suffered from short staff and mismanagement for the whole of FF16s development time.
For the first time ever I skipped MSQ cutscenes. I felt so bad about it afterwards that I rewatched the ones I skipped in the inn room and found I missed literally nothing of relevance. He might get some missions in Tural but that's it. Y'shtola's absence in 6.55 seems to imply that she'll be absent from the competition and have other interests in Tural as well.
Estinien just wants to go on an adventure, but I feel like he might eventually support the underdog of the competition.
G'raha is going to be part of the side trial or raid content he's already set up that way in endwalker

I haven't subbed since 6.1 and Dawntrail isn't making me want to come back. The void shard shit felt like it was moving at a snail's pace and I could no give less of a frick about the 12 gods after they sat out the entire MSQ. Zero was a prime cutie but it was hard to feel attached to her when I could tell that squeenix was going to snatch her away in the next patches. Vrtra was cool i guess. I don't know, I just don't feel the hype like I used to for this game.
Side note: It really pissed me off that they toned down Alisae's WoL crush in EW when she was practically leaking over them in ShB. I can't stand G'raha's dicksucking but I could at least tolerate it if I had a female equivalent to balance it out.
I haven't even finished 6.4 yet. I will get dawntrail, viper looks neat and I am still at the point of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Dawntrail is just my make or break moment, where if they frick up and fumble then it'll decide if I keep playing regularly or not. But it's definitely concerning to me that I'm getting the stormblood situation where I literally stop giving a shit during the patches and feel absolutely no compulsion to want to complete it or do content.
Right now my guess is that Tural and the succession story is going to be a steaming pile of shit but the second half with Solution 9 will be good. As yoshi said something something about two halves and how the 2nd half would be diff from the first. SE is just plain awful at political stories
