What's the website that highlights the differences between sites
It's just job changes and Known/Resolved issues, everything else is the same
are you joking with those bard buffs? it needs far more than that. god what a shit class.
It needs to play differently to stop being so shit
I genuinely enjoy Bard more than a lot of the static jobs such as Samurai, Reaper or even worse fricking Machinist, I can't be the only one? I fricking HATE the idea of everything being perfectly mapped out with nonexistant procs. I actually hate that autistic design mentality and think jobs that stray from that norm and are more proc based but still have the usual resource building/management are just more fun. I genuinely hope Corsair and the other job in Dawntrail has something like that.
Do we know what the new alliance raid gear looks like
Last one was garbage, especially compared to aglaias
It's forgettable at best
Bleh, that's disappointing
It's just radiant gear with another texture
>more circlets because viera/hrothgar
thanks for staining the game forever shadowbringer
Enough with the frilly bullshit jesus christ
Even the PVP series gear has it
I'm just so fricking tired of buttcapes. Wouldn't bother me if they were on the leggings piece, but they are attached to chest pieces.
It boggles my mind how they went from the fantastic saint seiya gear from aglaia to painfully mid sets for the other two. What the frick happened? Same deal with Abyssos being the only good raid set this tier by a VERY wide margin.
It's a company rule that alliance raid gear look like shit
>Red mage buffs
Should have been 2-3 patches ago, but better late than never, I guess
Yeah, it's so weird that it came this late, but it's more of a bandaid that anything else.
I'm still sticking to BLM though, It's been months since I started to learn it and I'm ready for the new extreme, maybe
>buffs come too late for raid prog
>reverted in 7.0
Back in the bin we go.
These buffs are pale in comparison to BLM random 3% overall damage buff
Is this the final patch before the expansion?
There will be 6.5x patches
It's in the patch notes. They look okay but unremarkable
SOON
Waiting for dataminers to post Zeromus theme
Fricking same, can't come soon enough
I'm not sure if I want to listen to the Thaleia songs though... maybe I should let those be surprises
You can hear a good chunk of it in the liveltter
%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A7%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BB%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8B%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%82%B9
Sounds like a battle theme from Pokemon.
I don't speak nipponese. It's so cool that the NA and EU community managers stream as well during the live letter and give us the updates in English so the rest of us who aren't Japanese know what updates are in the game.
Oh wait...
>An issue during the alliance raid Thaleia wherein the knockback effect of certain boss mechanics cause pets and the effects of turret actions to disappear.
Lol, looking forward to the SMN/SCH memes
i could not be bothered to grind out the PvP mount because it's a horrendous reskin from ARR and green is a shit-tier color
>Item level restrictions based on class or job level at the time of duty registration will now be applied for Duty Roulette: Alliance Raids.
based
Bard still needs a substantial AoE buff, no reason for it to be as low as it is, and it doesn't affect poopsock content.
>soulless versions of ghimlyt and burn
"yippee"
So what's the dungeon set look like?
We can assume tomorrow's MSQ will conclude void arc and 6.55 will be about Dawntrail?
I hope so. These motherfricking japs actually made me hate the 13th shard plotline so much to the point I wish we could nuke both Zero and 13th shard to oblivion, and tell unukalhai and cyntha that 13th shard is already unsalvageable and they need to forget it.
You are mentally ill. There's nothing wrong with the story. Demons wanting to return to the cycle of death and rebirth is cool.
It's dull and uninteresting
I had to sit through the dull and uninteresting Ancient shit in 5.0 and 6.0. Get over it.
Being a maximus contrarianus homosexualus won't suddenly make any of the post-EW story patch changed for the better
I don't think it is contrarian to not care about yet another boring dead advanced civilization from every rpg ever made.
>FF14 before 5.0
>cool lore
>FF14 after 5.0 and 6.0
>EVERYTHING IS ANCIENTS
Nah go frick yourself. They are trash. Making Heart of Sabik from them as well was just fricking pathetic.
>Making Heart of Sabik from them
a-anon...
>Making Heart of Sabik from them as well was just fricking pathetic.
Anon, we knew this since ARR though? And technically they didn't make it. It was a chunk of black auracite that Athena found that drove her crystal crazy
>trancers can't read
wow anon what a mindboggling turn of events!
heart of sabik was Ultima, which is its own sort of weird frickery I'm iffy about
but to be fair as the primary antagonist beyond even the garleans and whole dragon war shit, it isn't very surprising that the ancients were behind everything. but the fact that they quickly, QUICKLY just brush all pretenses aside and go "yes yes, see it was us the entire time, we made the allagans and then made them fall, and we made the empire and now they're repeating their fall" was really just a bit much.
then you find out the end of the world and the basis for everything in 14's plot ever, countless worlds destroyed afterwards even, was because one really depressed ancient guy made a dumb feelgood science experiment with a flawed thesis and question and then got so depressed that he was willing to let the universe die. and oh by the way, he was the one Ascian not part of the main trio that somehow wasn't tempered by Zodiark afterwards (or was and said frick it anyway) and then happened to be a fricking raid series boss from Crystal Tower and went "man you're fricking up the allagan empire I helped built? GUESS THE WORLD IS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK HAHAHA"
frick fannydanny and frick every ounce of writing involved with him
I thought the "reincarnations" were never tempered. They just became a mixture of their new and old personalities.
Ancients are great writing and you are coping
You just sound like a contrarian
It boring and the characters are walking voids of charisma
Zero is bland and looks bad, and if I see her tip her hat any more I will rupture an hernia
Vritra whole character is just "muh sister"
Golbez lacks any sort of gravity and just feels like a villain of the week
The returning scion just serve to keep the plot moving a fill out party slots
>and if I see her tip her hat any more I will rupture an hernia
yare yare daze...
What if I told you that the Ancient wank in 6.0 and the EW patch story are BOTH shit?
The problem is how all over the place Zero is
>Demons wanting to return to the cycle of death and rebirth is cool
>4 fiends
It's cool
>Pacing of quests, "new" adventure = 1st patch, downright boring quests (e.g. Garlemald - yes it is boring as the Garlean's problems with outsiders seem resolved in a snap of fingers within the same patch)
>Add to that no long term content and patches release with even more time in between
Not cool
You gotta admit EW post patch content is mediocre as frick. The story does not bring enough to me as to ignore the post patches' problem of lack of content.
I don't have to admit anything. This board is full of shit. You cry about lack of content yet 5.5 had less.
Athena literally made it speedreader.
It came from Ultima from the Ivalice Raids and it ended up fricking around with Athena, the Heart of Sabik was a Lahabrea thing anyway.
Why am I not surprised? The game literally told you Athena made it. Morons.
It's black auracite. Athena breaking chunks off to stick in her holes doesn't count as creating something. She just called it the Heart of Sabik and said 'I made this.'
Athena created the Heart of Sabik under the influence of another auracite. Give me time to get out of bed so I can post the screencap and blow you embarrassing homosexuals out.
>Athena created the Heart of Sabik under the influence of another auracite.
It never says this. The Heart of Sabik was the only one found you mongoloid
Let it be recorded that the MUH TRANCERS spammer is a speedreading moron.
>Englishtroony retcons
Not canon
You're embarrassing yourself.
>Troon is a moron who doesn't understand subtext
>Finds funky space rock
>Oh hey it's full of aether
>Study it like a giga autist
>Can't figure out how to replicate it
>Pretend you did and then it The Heart of Sabik and say you made it when anyone asks
Don't lie, you know she would do something like this.
Oh nononoononono trancer spammer psycho sisters??? WHAT HAPPENED???
So it was just the Black Auracite she found. The only difference is she somehow put her memories into it and slapped a name on to it
>Lahabrea: "It is a creation of Athena's."
>refers to it as the fruits of her research
>oooohhhh so she just renamed the crystal!
You're embarrassing yourself.
Holy shit stop outing yourself as a Black person trancer who truly can't read, have some for yourself
>hate everything to do with ancients
>trancer
You are an idiot.
>You cry about lack of content yet 5.5 had less
And so? Are we supposed to be happy than these patches are just empty of content now, because one patch before was even more lackluster?
Hey, I like this game, hell I'm still subbed in this content drough. But we should strive for better content. In these last months, I barely played EW content, did you?
>Are we supposed to be happy than these patches are just empty of content now,
You were happy then.
You know I would have been fine if there was something to do, like Eureka or Bozja. But yeah, well keep telling yourself that with increasing time between patches.
And you're definitely wrong as the Heart of Sabik came from outside the star.
There is no content drought.
The game has just stuck to a formula for so long it has gotten boring.
The "content" that is lacking is more reused assets, less unique dungeon sets, etc.
Maybe "drought" was indeed too much from me, but I think you get my point. I just wish this expansion had a long term thing, but all I got is more months between patch, an island, and skipped cutscenes for the relic.
The concept is solid, but being constrained to a handful of quests every few months that needed to be resolved as quickly as they're introduced with the barest minimum of plot threads keeping them together killed any pacing it might have had. 6.1-6.5 has been a shitty mini-expansion dripfed to us over 2 years.
>Demons wanting to return to the cycle of death and rebirth is cool.
Too bad the main representative of said demons is a complete autist even by the standards of her world, and most of the time is wasted on trying to teach her emotions as though she were a fricking toddler.
It's not the concept people have a problem with, you illiterate Black person, it's the godawful execution. I've been wanting them to explore the Void since ARR and the 6.X series has been the biggest monkey's paw possible. Instead of getting an expansion devoted to the lore and the mechanics of the Void, we get rushjob flashbacks about nobodies and lame FFIV fanservice (aside from the songs, but Soken carrying everything is not new nor an excuse) including a piss-poor interpretation of Golbez.
And even if something could potentially be made out of that poor premise, Zero's there to make sure that whatever nuggets of gold may be mined from this story are buried underneath her turd of a "what is friendship" bullshit character arc that is so contradictory to all previously established lore and even itself that it actively drags down the entire concept of the Void. Frick FFXIV's Lightning, and frick morons like you for defending anything even remotely related to her.
It's a trial sidequest series laboriously stretched out to fit 5 patches of MSQ.
Even better we didn't get a trial series at all, so there's just less story content on the whole.
>Good job killing the guy we should have killed last patch
>By the way... I got a letter
>I'll read it for you next patch
*quest complete music*
I GOTS A LETTER
What's Krile watching tonight.
Also,
>mfw I couldn't get all the stuff you wanted from the Moogle event because I was busy with work
The final Boss of the 24 man is gonna be the people of Eorzea's interpretation of Hydaelyn.
say hello to your new scion!
I wish. Rather her than that waste of space Graha.
G'raha is basically the Adoring Fan
Adoring fan didnt solve every problem he is present
NTA but in hindsight I realized everything G'raha did in EW to "save the day" was shit put there literally so he'd do something at all. Like the fricking Tower of Zot banishes for no reason (the Tower of Babil didn't, it's still fricking there even now), and then it turns out that G'raha of all people has a spell no one else knows that he learned 5 minutes before while he was supposed to be looking for something else and that apparently he can now cast with enough proficiency to save 1000 elephants from falling. And you're telling me neither Y'shtola, Alphinaud or Urianger ever thought to look up this apparently super useful spell with no casting range limit that can be learned in a minute? Not even after Y'shtola almost died falling down a hole?
And the whole "G'raha brings Exarch authority back" shit always upset me anyway because everyone gets told to run, they don't run because they're panicking, then G'raha says to run and they all run because he's standing a bit straighter now.
He's the authors pet. He is a fricking garbage character she had to try to justify bringing him along with these contrived scenes. Like telling Indians to not give up makes him a great leader lol
sad part is the FFXIV fanbase is so shit he is the most popular character
BY AZEYMA, BY AZEYMA!
What's the purpose of this? Do they normally do streams like this during maintenance?
Yeah they always do. It was funny to see Yoshi-p uncomfortable when JP chat was criticizing kaiten removal a few parches ago.
guess i gotta wait the day now to finally get Zero's bullshit over with once and for all
i hope, i swear to god if she sticks with us i will sleep for the following day
Anon I need to know what those gauntlets, skirt and boots are RIGHT NOW (please) so I can steal your glam.

did you catch up on the current pvp series?
is your island sanctuary up to date?
>did you catch up on the current pvp series?
lol no
Fricking half assed mounts are always a skip
I burned out a bit right before the 5.0 Innocence trial and didn’t make progress for months, now I’m almost at the final trial of 5.0. I’ve gotten every PvP series reward except the latest mount which I never would have used anyway
>did you catch up on the current pvp series?
I play ranked so I've been capped for ages, finished with +40 levels or so, ready to buy all the new modern sets :^)
>is your island sanctuary up to date?
Hell yea, even gathered 999 of every craftable material to get an extra 20k exp on top of the 2 week workshop bomb.

6.5 TODAY
>forgot about the 24h maintenance
>was only missing 4 moogle tomestones
At least you got the 10th anniversary framer kit and the fat cat parasol already right....? The rest you can probably get on the mb for cheap
>the fat cat parasol
NTA but I didn't. I don't even use that gay shit
Yeah I'm only missing one wolf I never bothered to farm before
I feel like the umbrella will come back but if you didn't get the framer's kit sorry about that. If it makes you feel better I realized I didn't get the series mount and couldn't stay up anymore when I only had two spots left.
Frick I forgot to spend the moogle tomestones. Will you be able to do it after the patch?
yes, the moogle stays for a while to let you spend the tomestones
i got myself the both ways hair, frame kit, and all of the Kamuy mounts
Yes
>introduce hythlodaeus in SHB by his personality alone
>wise, calm, dependable, caring
>reveal his appearance in EW
>pink hair bishie boybawd
>character ruined from gay shipping with other ruined EW ancient
How long until we can consider this portrayal as offensive?
Everything in EW besides Hermes/Fandaniel was insulting tbqh.
>be super smart researcher
>get sad
>??????????
>make bird
>tell it to ask a dumb question to people you've never met
>act shocked when you don't like the answer
>condemn your entire people to apocalypse based on your interpretation of the experiment you told nobody else about
EW fricking ruined the ancients as a venerable and believable progenitor species. They even made them not big anymore by making us forever taller in elpis and shrinking them in any other scene outside of that.
>They even made them not big anymore by making us forever taller in elpis
Cutscene skipper spotted, post disregarded.
I know they explained why you moron, I'm saying it's a fricking cop-out to not have them being big anymore. That was part of the charm back in amaurot, we were so small in comparison to everything.
It was part of the charm when they were vague and new, but during EW you are viewed as a peer so it makes perfect sense to be sized up.
Problem is they re just hyur/elezen muts all of them with special iris glows
That's not a problem.
Yes its is so much evolved perfect race and they re just that
You're not a catgirl or viera by chance, are you?
No i was roe for memes
I like how Hades pretty much calls him a moron when it all comes to light
It's hilarious watching wow tard shitbringer fans think ancients were cool. What exactly did you like about these boring deviant art creating conformists? What a loser you are.
I liked them because they were mysterious and we didn't know much about them outside of the dubious and possibly biased recreation from Emet-Selch's Amaurot. Now we know everything about them and they're just big idiot midlanders.
I wonder if we'll ever go back in time to chill with Allagans.
>be super smart researcher
>get sad
>??????????
>make bird
>tell it to ask a dumb question to people you've never met
>act shocked when you don't like the answer
>condemn your entire people to apocalypse based on your interpretation of the experiment you told nobody else about
Emetroons forever in shambles over Hermes being justified by the actions of WoL and Zenos. A sad researcher inadvertently saved humanity with his roundabout actions by simply asking questions no one else considered. This fact angers the shadowbabs and emetroons who thought his biased memory of Amaurot and ancient life was 1:1 with the real deal.
Being justified in retrospect doesn't change the fact that he was meant to be the best researcher they had, given that he was up for promotion to head of the entire facility, but his actions directly contradicted his apparent 'experience'. If he was just some apprentice frick who made meteion secretly with many faults, this wouldn't be a problem.
>A sad researcher inadvertently saved humanity
From a problem that only existed because of him and his moronation.
hermes was just one guy
athena is another one
if they didnt do what they did, there would be others too because of the society the ancients were
>hermes was just one guy
>athena is another one
Imagine if Athena had hooked up with Hermes instead of Lahabrea.
gaius was just one guy but if the WoL wasn't there he would've steamrolled eorzea, guess that means eorzea is a failed society
that comparison doesnt work...gaius is an outside force to eorzea anon
a more apt example is yotsuyu as she is what she is because of domans
Ancients we're gonna turn into ra-la losers eventually if they kept on like that. Only thank to Hermes was humanity saved.
I love how Trancers were in denial about this, then the devs confirmed it. lol
They've all fricked off thankfully.
And where do you think humanity will go now after the WoL has eliminated every foe and united every single race in his United Nations of Light. There are no bad guys left, no toil, and if there is it is removed in a patch cycle.
Mhiggers still exist.
Auracite and the source of it still exist somewhere out there
That exists for every planet. Not really sure how that impact Ra La'ing out.
It's the ending of TTGL and its glorious, trancers always lose lmao.
>And where do you think humanity will go now
On to create more strife, duh.
>And where do you think humanity will go now
Well unless the Twelve pull something out of their ass, humanity is going to be fricked since Hydaelyn was the only thing keeping the shards from eventually rejoining.
Put my bet on Life stream shenanigans.
While we wont deal with ascians anymore we still have to deal with the problems they left behind.
Namely one of the shards doesnt like that they could no longer exist and they want to be the source.
This gets them to fufill the things Emet said before endsinger
>There are no bad guys left
Lalafells still exist
>Only thank to Hydaelyn was humanity saved.
Fix'd that for you. Seeing as how she's the one that actually solved the "keep sacrificing people until the problem goes away" problem that Hermes also caused.
That was Emet, sweetie. Hermes was sundered. Venat wouldn't have saved mankind without him setting up the scenario in the first place.
You are a moron. It was obvious he was a gay. Why do Shadowbringer fanboys pretend Endwalker wasn't written by the same fujoshit?
EW was after the SHB standing ovation and she realized that she could get away with making femboys like erenville, g'raha and hythlo into evergreen characters.
>my fricking stupid headcanon because I have no experience consuming japanese fiction
Shut up.
Maybe you should stop inserting your headcanon and replay ShB, he was always a giggly schoolgirl
Frick off, he was a whimsical mentor and friend. Remember when people thought he was Y'shtola's unsundered ancient because they had a similar animation? He came off as sagely and wise to the world, not a vtuber-looking quip-making shark inspector.
>Remember when people thought he was Y'shtola's unsundered
No. And those "people" aka you, should kill themselves.
>No. And those "people" aka you, should kill themselves.
Get a load of this homosexual
How was the free trial up to heavensward?
The free trial only went to copperbell mines when I played it. You really are a low IQ homosexual to be so enamored by the shitty ancients.
>Remember when people thought he was Y'shtola's unsundered ancient because they had a similar animation?
No. It does give insight to the kind of headcanon you pay attention to, thoughever.
I do remember that theory, but I always found it a bit of a hard sell. In part because Emet-Selch would have had a different reaction to rescuing her from the Lifestream, in part because Hythlodaeus came across as more carefree than Y'shtola, and in part because Y'shtola getting kidnapped by Elidibus and brought into Amaurot probably should have resulted in her meeting the memory shadow and having some sort of acknowledgement.
Fujo tax. They always get theirs.
>more shit
>more Zero

>tfw the existence of the true Ultima makes Meteion trying to kill the universe with Dynamis an impossible thing
>tfw the Ancients had a space rock in their possession that had essentially infinite aether but decided to not use it to summon Zodiark for some autistic reason
Did Pandemonium invalidate EW's entire story and make the Ancients out to be incompetent morons?
The Ancients were ALWAYS incompetent morons.
Look at Fandaniel. Why didn't he make a tower appear on the Isle of Haam?
>Why didn't he make a tower appear on the Isle of Haam?
Wasn't it because he placed them where the celestial currents were thinning?
>make the Ancients out to be incompetent morons?
That was the point of EW, THOUGH
They were incompetent morons in EW, too. Remember that the entire point of that whole island facility was to test, register and verify ideas of creations, and like most of them are making fricking gigamonsters, behemoths and shit, and even despite reported incidents NO ONE thought it was a problem except if a creation was just too much to handle.
What?
>had essentially infinite aether
not true since at the end of Panda we know they spent all the aether inside it.
>not true since at the end of Panda we know they spent all the aether inside it.
If it was spent it wouldn't be able to power the Ultima Weapon in ARR.
>not true since at the end of Panda we know they spent all the aether inside it.
wat, there was just no trace of Athena or other memories in the crystal. That is all they said. It still has a frick ton of aether and its ability to influence its holder.
Savage isn't canon, it's a what-if scenario.
Heart of Sabik is still a black auracite all but stated to be derived from Ultima, and Ultima is a fricking space alien that landed on the planet, "accidentally" influencing shit to go horribly bad where Hermes didn't cause it. So either there's more Ultima out there, or something nastier than Ultima.
XIVverse is so fricking wack with trying to do escalating threats that I wouldn't be surprised if a Jenova-tier threat is out there in the cosmos and Meteion just happened to miss it.
This but not even an aylmao alien but an extradimensional being which I kinda prefer.
>grinded Frontline and CC for the mount reward
>It fricking sucks
>another WoW ripoff glam for PvP next patch
If this armor didn't have buttcape I would be hype.
Fricking wished WoW armor looked as good as this
It looks terrible. Too much visual noise.
>Another WoW rip off glam
The frick are you talking about? What glam is that a rip off, of in WoW?
>continue to make buttcapes even when battlestances of almost all races and classes stretch them and their textures ridiculously
Anon, you need to accept that whatever critique or annoyance you have about the game, repeating it 100 times on an English speaking imageboard is not going to get it changed.
The japs don't like it either. Remember when Yoshida always complain about fans being harsh and need to chill out? He's talking about JP players. We lost job balance in prelims because JP players whined about which jobs got buffed.
JPs are moronic though especially when it comes to MMOs. They, suffer from what Korean players have but to a lesser extent.
I will never play 2.1–2.5. I will never touch the crystal tower. I will always be level skips. And I will always skip through the gay. Cats dialogue as there is nothing of worth related to the character
Give me something to draw while the servers are down
Did they explain why it takes so long this time?
Something to do with cloud servers
because you'll buy it anyway
Major patches are always 24 hours. They're tweaking the servers a bit as well this time so not likely to end early since they'll be allowing multiple instances of some ShB and EW zones due to the MSQ. As others also said, probably setting things up for cloud servers and even the Xbox beta.
>Major patches are always 24 hours
Wrong. 6.4 was 8 hours, it's only 24 hours because of the useless cloud server.
Xbox players
>Silver Saint jobbers glam
>Hades jobbers glam
>Robes again
sigh...
I kinda like maiming, I guess. Not enough to care about getting it though. Guess I'll just do the raid once a week for the coin.
fending always wins baby
Delete Trusts
Hydaelyn was the test for 8 person trust, 7.0 will be entirely solo-able.
They still won't update squadron.
Savage Trust will be a thing.
Offline game like DQX when?
They still have to do trusts for all the trials of the msq
I hope they do Trust Trials in 7.0 just to get rid of that stupid Azem crystal.
Since they actually talk about you using the crystal in cutscenes now, the more likely thing to happen is when trusts come in you still summon people with the crystal they're just generic "hero from another world 3"
I was more about getting rid of the stupid arr trials in the roulette

Carries 8 people. Treasure Map parties will love it.
Dont worry youll see its skeleton in next raid
But everyone saw it in the job action trailer
In what world do only 5% of people only see chi, plus chi was showed in one of the trailers just like Archaeotania was
sounds like a person that missed the chi bus early on.
I reckon close to 50% of endgame players have fought Chi.
>He did not wait 10+ hours at the Chi Spawn at the start of the expansion
Why is it the game fault again?
What's worse is I need one more as well, and have missed it 4 fricking times. I was online, I was there, but because of the Instanced nature of this game, the Instance was congested and I couldn't get to the fight....4 fricking times this has happened to me, of course it's not congested as soon as the fight is over.
I know something that would solve that problem, have it spawn on all Instances at the same fricking time. FRICK.
I hope his weapons look cool.
He looks neat

No reason to buy the game. It peaks here.
Recently started playing this game and I really like it. Unfortunately, I happened to walk through Limsa and saw people disappearing and appearing as I wandered through the crowd.
Please show every player. I don't care if my fps drops to 30. This is a huge reason why WoW is so succesful. You can see everybody.
That’s moronic thinking
>friend tells to go to Limsa because there's a player concert
>teleport to Limsa
>"Where's the band"?
>"On the left of the crystal. Can't you see them?"
>"Nope. That spot is empty."
>take three steps over there

No anon. It is you who is moronic if you accept this. Mayhaps there is naught but excrement twixt your ears hm?

The last time it happened, there was already people explaining the mechanics in Euphrosyne.
It's over for me.

Really odd how many people miss the entire point that Metion was radiating negative energy and was causing civilizations to kill themselves before she even arrived on their planet, which just made her even more negative and potent, was a feedback loop.

But I agree with Omega. Hermes was right, plus he wanted mankind to win which is why he didn't fly off with Meteion to be vaporized when given the option.
I should've done this questline before unsubbing. Is it worth checking out in YouTube?
Hust check outbin youtube BUT DONT EXPWCT OMEGA INTERACTING WITH ITS FELLOWS IN ULTIMA THULE
its the best sidequest in the game imo
Omega is the kind of homosexual that would think Jigsaw is actually a hero.
so which is it? what answer did you people pick? keep in mind that you answer decides if you understood the story or not.
They were all justified in their own way is objectively correct.
anyone that picked a single person legitimately didnt understand the themes of the story and is probably a speedreader, thus in my opinion only top or bottom are the correct answers.
The author is a fujoshit. Her themes are fantasizing about dicks in asses.
>Frick this im out

they were all justified.
They were all justified.
Venat. She stopped life from being snuffed out in the universe.

You're actually the lowest IQ motherfricker on this site.
If people learned to do nothing and mind their own business instead of acting like they know what's best for people the world would be a better place.

>jews take over
Wow bravo you sure showed me with your underage opinions of how the world works.
That's not what the question asks though.
Where's the "they were all fricking moronic" option?
None of them. It was never a question of being justified. Justice is a human invention, and the actions of the characters were concerned with continued survival in a cold and uncaring universe.
maximum tism
Math is also a human invention, if I ask you what 2 squared plus 8 divided by the square root of 3 is I expect an answer
math is discovered
stop now you're opening a can of worms that will leak into the next 3 threads
The only two who were justified in their actions were Venat and Emet-Selch. Trying to say Hermes was justified for trying to end all life because of his childish question is moronation on the highest scale.
Hermes wasn't a nihilist, he wanted his people to be tested, and he was right to bet on them anyways. Only trancers don't understand Hermes.
>Asks bring to go to different planets with a poorly worded question
>Gets a shitty answer as a result
>Thinks it gives him the right to decide that their world deserves an apocalypse as a result
No. He's a moron. A suicidal one
>so dumb he ignores the main reason he thinks Ancients are shit is because they believe you should die when you retire and assuming the position of Fandaniel is like killing someone
>is because they believe you should die when you retire
Venat is proof that just because they believe that doesn't mean everyone did it. Motherfricker was acting like they were going full Logan's Run or something.
Venat was considered a weirdo by other Ancients dipshit
>was considered a weirdo by other Ancients dipshit
So she was considered a weirdo but was also allowed to wear white robes and was apparently so well-liked that she was able to get twelve people to literally sacrifice themselves for her to become Hydaelyn.
She had her own following. They should have just all fricked off and left the other ancients to an hero themselves while making their own society.
Here's what I've always wondered, was offing yourself just an Amaurot thing or did the other Ancient nations practice this as well? Because i find it difficulty to believe that every single group of Ancients had this exact same line of thought
>Here's what I've always wondered, was offing yourself just an Amaurot thing or did the other Ancient nations practice this as well?
At fanfest we got confirmation from Oda that there were no other nations. The whole planet was a monoculture. Which also means the Seat of Azem makes no sense, but that's what Oda said.
>The Seat of Azem exists to get the most autistic person around to frick off for a few decades
I'd believe it
Well that can't be right, because Emet himself said that Amaurot only stood by and didn't assist other nations that were suffering from the Final Days. And the Volcano story with that community living on the island
Also, one of the short stories states that Venat met Azem while she was traveling, and I doubt he was a sewer rat in Amaurot
Given that he was friends with Hades and Hyth before Hades was made Emet-Selch if say you're correct. Not exactly sure what he did before becoming Azem though. But given the reactions you get at Elpis, he probably worked there
>But given the reactions you get at Elpis, he probably worked there
>that one Ancient that loses his shit at the sight of you because he thinks you're Azem
Just what the frick did Azem do to that guy?
>These fruits look like shit and taste like it too.
That's how.. or he took some of the failed ones and yeeted them at the wildlife or something.
Azem was Amurot's number 1 menace.
>Hears favourite grape Vinyard is about to get volcanoed
>Takes Lahabrea's best fire creation(don't ask why it's a hot chick)
>Summon it in the volcano
>Watch it eat all the Fire Aether
>Beat the shit out of it to disperse the aether
>Come back with create full of fresh grapes and get censured once again
>Repeat
It's a good thing that Ancients were immortal or else Hades would have died from an aneurysm long before the Sundering ever happened.
Yeah, the one nation, one culture thing makes no sense, which is my biggest problem with EW's story. They decided to portray an entire race of peoples, through a handful of eccentric scientists and researchers.
>Which also means the Seat of Azem makes no sense
It does if the Azem in charge also plays the part of a glorified therapist, which was also a part of the Seat of Azem
>The Amaurotine ghosts in ShB have an entire debate over whether they should intervene to help foreign nations
Oda is a fricking hack
How so? You can still be a monoculture and not care about anything else other than the capital or a couple regions, my country is sort of like this.
A country sure, but an entire planet? No fricking chance. The only way this would be possible was if the Ancients were all a part of some hivemind, which they weren't.
The anti-interventionist says
>One must first look to one's own welfare before that of others, and the same must be said of our distant neighbors. To save them would be to deprive them of the agency to determine their own fate!
Arguing that they should be able to determine their own fate makes no sense if they're under the exact same leadership as Amaurot
>Arguing that they should be able to determine their own fate makes no sense if they're under the exact same leadership as Amaurot
>US has 50 states
>all under one National government
>still have distinct differences between states
>Azem is just FEMA
>>all under one National government
That's exactly my point. The debate is explicitly about whether Amarout has the right to impose its will on the "distant neighbors" which doesn't make sense if those neighbors are under the same government. No American politician is going to say that FEMA shouldn't help any states at all because they'd be depriving Floridans of the ability to choose their own fate - if the argument was "Amaurot must be defended above all else, frick those hillbillies" it would make sense but that's not how it's framed
Can you post what he said?
He apecifically dodged the “singular nation” part of the question you flaming fricking moron, nothing there suggests that the ancients were a monoculture, just that the fourteen ruled the entire star.
That doesn't say there were no other nations or cultures, just that the Convocation represented all mankind and had jurisdiction. Some UN shit maybe.
But frankly maybe he is just a hack.
At which part does he call it a monoculture?
>they believe you should die when you retire
And yet there are those like Venat who ignore that and go on living just fine.. if seen as a bit peculiar but fine none the less
>Asks bring to go to different planets with a poorly worded question
Hello, ESL. Sorry you're illiterate, but you're still wrong.
Autocorrect is a b***h ain't it? You smooth brained moron.
>i'm worried my people are heading down a suicidal path because they are becoming emotionally dead and have a complete disregard for life, and more worringly, death itself
>i wonder if there's an answer on other worlds
>...
>as it turns out, mass extinction seems to be the default state
>but i believe in my people, so let this apocalypse come and reignite the spark they've lost, because i believe they will win and refute this data
And he was right.
No he wasn't, because his people are no more and it was left up to others to clean his mess up.
Oh, it's the moron who thinks the sundering killed everyone and didn't just fragment them into weaker forms which then continued on and had children and eventually led to the people inhabiting the world today.
The Sundering destroyed the original forms and left only broken souls to be reborn. The Ancients. Are. Gone.
>The Sundering destroyed the original forms and left only broken souls to be reborn.
It didn't, this is already hard confirmed by Oda in the Nier collab in case it wasn't obvious enough from ShB where the people immediately after the sundering made cave paintings of what had happened.
Hey homie, first of all stop typing like you're a mutt zoomer on twitter. Second of all, I'll remind you that Hermes was concerned with the survival of the inhabitants of the planet. They died from shortened lifespans but they would have been extinct from suicide if the Final Days and sundering hadn't taken place. Life continues on, their descendants still exist.
>hard confirmed by Oda in the Nier collab
You mean the collab that literally shows them to have broken bodies and to be so fricked up they're incapable of speech?
>Life continues on, their descendants still exist
That's not what we were talking about moron. You insisted the ancients didn't die because of the sundering. Something that can be disproved as easily as logging in and seeing a bunch of dancing catbawds in Limsa. Can you say the people of Goug "didn't die" because their descendents eventually became the Garleans? No, those people are fricking dead and there's no continuity between one civilization and another.
>You mean the collab that literally shows them to have broken bodies and to be so fricked up they're incapable of speech?
Yes, I'm glad we could agree that you are wrong that they weren't obliterated and left as fragmented souls to be reborn, but continued to live on in a weakened state.
>what's that, I've been lobotomized and later died from complications relating to that? All good bro
You're a dumbass. Egodeath is death. Please read a fricking book for once in your life.
So, as we both now agree, the Ancients were not killed. They continued to live on (for a much shorter time albeit) and had children, and their descendants still inhabit the planet. And therefore Hermes averted their extinction.
>I am only hearing what I want to hear
They were killed. If I punch you in the face so fricking hard that your physical and mental capabilities become crippled and you die shortly thereafter at 1/10000th of your natural lifespan (essentially the next day in human terms) then I've killed you. And again, there is no continuity, the civilization was destroyed and future generations had no memory (sans echo bullshit) of it.
What you're saying is essentially claiming that the very first lifeform to ever exist is literally still alive because it progenerated all the future forms of life. That your own great great grandfather never died because you exist. By that logic you could say that when the ancients killed themselves they didn't die because their souls were just reborn in a new body, or that the Ra La Black folk never died because actually a bunch of them now still exist as recreated Dynamis beings. That's fricking moronic and you're a genuine brainlet, so I can see how you think a lobotomy is no big deal.
You lost, Hades. Do try to endure the Lifestream bath with some dignity.
>Souls of the Ancients trapped in Zodiark freed
>reunited with Hythlodaeus
>Venat yeeted from existence
Can you really call it losing when he got what he truly wanted in the end?
yeeted from existence
She didn't though. She's just dead. Seriously you guys keep misinterpreting that line
Didn't Yoshida say straight up that her soul was deleted?
Given how Souls work, that only happens through complete Dynamis saturation. If anything, her soul was probably worn so thin that it's been essentially mixed with all the other aether in the Lifestream permanently.
>only happens through complete Dynamis saturation
Now that's a misunderstood line. All the souls were being sucked to Meteion's nest, not deleted.
It confirms that the soul gets destroyed at Vanaspati though. Seriously anon, the soul is aether and the Aether gets eaten by all the Dynamis, this erasing it and leaving only a small piece of what was
Y'shtola is just blind, it's confirmed later all the souls were in UT. moronic writing maybe.
>it's confirmed later all the souls were in UT
wasnt that only for the planets meteion visited
Yep. So those poor frickers that got transformed are giga dead
>T-THEY CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THEIR OLD TAX POLICY!!!
But they're alive THO
They're DEAD homosexual. By the logic of what you're saying nobody can ever fricking die. I like how you just skipped the whole argument and especially how you ignored how they all died way way before their natural-born lifespans.
>By the logic of what you're saying nobody can ever fricking die.
Yes, that's why we reproduce. That's what immortality is.
Glad I could help you understand.
>That's what immortality is
?si=xcz0Nn0kJFMZaSF3&t=214
>makes obviously irrational bullshit argument
>continues to ignore the other counterarguments proving his idea laughable even if it was true (IE continuity of the soul meaning that death doesn't exist to begin with)
>makes obviously irrational bullshit argument
lol, ironic
>have a potential lifespan of 20,000,000 years but commit suicide and take the entire planet with you because you've been feeding new souls into your genie to feed your addiction to aetherial onaholes
Or
>have your lifespan cut to 100 years but life continues on into eternity
There's an objectively correct answer here unless you're a nihilist teenager who's angry because mom told him to get a job
>le infinite sacrifices, surely?
That wasn't even the issue stupid, the probability of their future suicide is not connected to this idea they'd destroy the world by sacrificing everything to Zodiark.
Not to mention with how fricking dumb you are, even if everything was sacrificed to Zodiark by your own logic it doesn't matter because actually all those souls would still exist inside Zodiark anyway.
>the probability of their future suicide is not connected to this idea they'd destroy the world by sacrificing everything to Zodiark.
Yes it is, play through the Dead Ends.
The Ra Lagays didn't do a super sacrifice spree, they created Ra La specifically to kill them.
Look down next time you go through that area.
>my baseless speculation is evidence
We have no idea why their planet was like that, whether that's just how it was naturally or if they shaped it according to their preferences. There's no talk of sacrifices and frankly this is a far cry from the self-destruction assumed of infinite sacrifices to Zodiark anyway, given they were living there just fine until they chose to die.
I would say venat essentially murdered them (by loss of self) but created 14 lesser offsprings out of them that could be a gigachad or a literal sentient slime, right
you can stop pretending to be moronic now, the joke has overstayed its welcome
Hey homie do the people of republican Rome still exist because some of their descendents happen to be alive? No moron they're dead. Claiming the Sundering "didn't kill" the ancients lost all validity the moment that generation of people died from their shortened lifespans and the following generations lost all knowledge of them. There's zero continuity there.
>And he was right.
But for the part they did not solve the problem with out giving up half of the planet. Before going down the path to sac 50% of the life on the planet to bring there friends back which would have basically lead to the same end state ...
>AMAUROT HAS FALLEN
>BILLIONS MUST DIE
>he wanted his people to be tested
That is not why he created Meteion, and that is not why he protected her from Emet and the others. His mocking ass "I shall test man" speech is proof of that.
Hermes is a fricking hypocrite that couldn't handle his own issues and decided to make it everyone's problem.
The problem he diagnosed with their society was absolutely correct, as it was the exact same problem that made them want to feed everyone to Zodiark to go back and ignore all the bad stuff. And it was also the exact same problem that killed the Nibirun. He was a hypocrite because he also showed a selfish disregard for other lives when he released all the animals in Hyperborea, and when he was only concerned with his own emotions as Meteion was experiencing the others dying. But he was absolutely correct about the issue he was intending to fix.
It was going to be everyone's problem eventually, the devs already outright stated the ancients would ra-la their way out of existence. Hermes inadvertently saved them from a far worse existence and fate, its been nearly two years but Trancers live with their ears plugged and only slobber over Emet's gaping axewound.
>inadvertently saved them from a far worse existence and fate
So in order to save them from killing themselves, he allowed events to happen that led to their deaths anyway?
They survived the Final Days, then continued on in smaller, weaker forms. There was no extinction.
>There was no extinction.
There was. The Ancients are no more and all that is left is a sundered race. Hermes was wrong.
If I clone myself, then shoot myself in the head. That does not mean I survived shooting myself in the head.
It kinda does.
Go play Soma so you can soiface out and make threads about how "I can't believe I lost the coinflip bros..."
>the ancients would ra-la their way out of existence
So what?
>gotta kill you so you can't have a nice day
is the dumbest shit ever.
I blame Jocat for this.
The image predates him even becoming a minor xiv celebrity.
>Here's your discords bro
blessed icons
He didn't do it to save the world from a catastrophe (not willingly at least)
This but the opposite.
>The only reason any of you exist is because I decided it would be for the best.
It's not like he could do anything else without sucking up all the aether around him.
Exactly. A primal made a decision that was for the best of others, and not for the purpose it was summoned.
>and not for the purpose it was summoned.
But Alexander was created by a group of scientists who wanted a mobile base to better the world from. The purpose of it's summoning literally was to help.
And yet its existence was causing the opposite, and so it ensured its own destruction as opposed to being that "mobile base".
>if shinryu wasn't summoned zenos wouldn't have been able to save the WoL and therefore the universe
ilberd literally wins harder with every expansion, what a chad
He literally created a catastrophe and went “CLEAN IT UP, EORZEA”
Eorzea was too pussy to clean up the GarleBlack folk so Ilberd forced their hand, and if he hadn't the whole world would've been BLACKROSED
Ilberd was partially justified, but it was a questionable thing to do.
Westerners cannot understand the desperation of eating dust and drinking puddle soup while hoping your countrymen stop being pliant slaves or "I got my freedom" egotists.
How was he justified? Eorzea had no stake in Gyr Abania's freedom. Especially after the Autumn War. So how the frick us joining up with an independent Grand Company and then proceeding to throw a massive tantrum because Eorzea wants to get Ishgard back into the fold before thinking about Ala Mhigo justified?
Eorzea owes them jack shit.
Garlemald delenda est. GarleBlack folk were an existential threat to the entirety of Eorzea, and since the goal of the Alliance is to protect Eorzea it absolutely had a responsibility to destroy Garlemald. It didn't have a responsibility to the refugees, but destroying Garlemald necessarily involves liberating Gyr Abania anyway
>it absolutely had a responsibility to destroy Garlemald.
Ahahahaha... no. No they did not because if that was the case, they would have went full scorched earth instead of going the humanitarian aid route in EW
Garlemald as a political entity has been destroyed, genociding the entire populace isn't necessary. The leftovers who do nothing but impotently seethe about how the Alliance using the Tower triggers their heckin PTSD are not a threat to anyone except their own moronic selves
Will xiv community worsen if spanish and portuguese-brazilian dub get added?

Can you solo the first boss of Eureka Orthos from scratch as a tank? Tried and died from AA on MNK, gonna try as GNB. Read some comments that a healer demiclone protomander would make it easy. Just thinking if I'm boned if I don't find one.
Yeah, it just takes ages but you can do 1-100 starting with 0 aetherpool as tank.
Good to know, thank you! If I can clear the first boss then at least I can start farming aetherpool.

Any idea when the patch will be downloadable?
I want to know when to come back and read threads to look for the datamined music.
Depends how much back end shit they do. With them creating Cloud servers for testing for 7.0 launch could be afternoon. or evening US time.
Or all the checks turn out and could be next 10 min or so.
So wait, what are we getting in 6.5? Is Savage finally unlocked?
>I want my people to learn to embrace life and face hardship head-on so in order to do this I will create this creature that requires the sacrifice of half of our people and will allow us to burrow our heads in the sand until the next round of sacrifices are required. I am so fricking smart.
>I will create this creature that requires the sacrifice of half of our people and will allow us to burrow our heads in the sand until the next round of sacrifices are required. I am so fricking smart.
But that was Hades, THOUGH.
Hades didn't create Zodiark you utter buffoon.
he was the leader of the convocation though
>he was the leader of the convocation
The convocation didn't have a leader idiot.
oh yea lol
but I guess Hades represents the human side of the ancients I guess, Hermes and Venat are the rebels
But Zodiark was created by the congregation, who had no idea of the real cause because Hermes mind wiped Hades and Hythlodeus and even then there wasn't anything the ancients could do because they were beings of highly concentrated aether who could not even detect Meteon
>cut thavnair
>add second ancient time travel zone where the MSQ revolves around trying to help venat convince the ancients as they gradually become disillusioned and turn to zodiark
fixed the expansion
there would be a lot less trancers going "B-B-B-BUT WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST TELL EMET WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST MAKE A DYNAMIS SLAVE TO GO KILL METEION" if the entire sundering wasn't reduced to a short allegorical cutscene
>add another moronic fricking time travel zone that fricks up the story even further because this twitter Black person wants to spend more time with Venat so he can goon harder to that instagram prostitute with the fricked eyebrows
lol, have a nice day
He wasn't. He became the de-facto leader at some point after the sundering because Elidibus and Lahabrea both lost their minds. If any of them could be considered the leader it would be Lahabrea, who was the Speaker. He also already had the designs for Zodiark at his college lab.
>so he can goon harder to that instagram prostitute with the fricked eyebrows
unironically what the frick are you talking about? meds, now
i want a second time travel zone because the sundering is the single most important event in the story and it barely gets any screentime. doesn't matter if you hate time travel because that ship already sailed with elpis
>WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST MAKE A DYNAMIS SLAVE TO GO KILL METEION
That's what WoL is. The entire sundered world is an experimenr in creating le uberazem.
>you know the shittiest zone in EW?
>what if there was a second one?
>the shittiest zone in EW
but anon i already said cut thavnair
>shittiest zone in EW
But enough about Sharlayan
>frick time travel even more
They got away with paradox they did because of the mcguffin of mind eraser.
Any more fricking around and we would have went back to a much different future.
Or we return to our current time line and still play the game out.
So in the end your idea is garbage.
>most of the content isn't coming out until next year
if i wasn't a rp gay i would've dropped this game long ago lmao
Let's go play Genshin instead l, Lyneybro.
Most people would've dropped this if it weren't for the stupid housing rules.
Is there anything worth getting from the Moogle Treasure Trove event? I've been playing through the free trial for the past two or so years and I'm not sure if there's any "must have" things I should get from it or if I should even bother with it.
>Gets mind wiped by Hermes
>Doesn't think to use the Echo to find out what happened after getting told that Venat and someone else had been in the building with them
The biggest fricking plot hole in the expansion.
No, the biggest plot hole is Azem being clairvoyant
That's not a plot hole, it's the same Echo power Mikoto has.
>Find out how the Echo works in EW
>It's specifically for viewing the past
>Mikoto however see bits of the future
That is a massive inconsistency
The echo is actually like CHIM prove me wrong
It isn't because it just reads ambient aether
Ambient aether containing the memories of events that have not yet taken place sure
>the flow of aether is already predestined and you're following it further down the stream to see what it will experience
I don't remember if Bozja has an explanation but that would be my handwave
>Ambient aether containing the memories of events that have not yet taken place sure
THAT MAKES NO SENSE!
(You) got a future vision in the first cutscene of the game too, when you saw yourself fighting Lahabrea. They haven't bothered to explain how it could possibly work that way, but it's nothing new.
That's basically what it was originally, which is why it's also called The Power to Transcend.
That's just Azem's autism leaking through. It's not the Echo.
I LOVE 0.
Hermes is the type of homie to start shooting up a funeral because people aren’t crying enough and when people start defending themselves he proclaims himself a hero for bringing emotion back into their lives
shouldn't she be 18 by now
The twins should've been giraffes by now but everything from ARR to the end of the game happens in a 2-3 year time bubble.
Better question. Why didn't Tataru Make WoL any pants for his new outfit?
Genuine question: Is EW's story as divisive in the JP community as it is here? I'm wondering because Japan is full of Buddhists and Meteion is a very on-the-nose critique of Buddhist philosophy
JP love EW, pigslop westerners don't understand it.
Every single Japanese story is just a seethe at Buddhism. Japanese Buddhism is essentially a larp, like US evangelicals.
The Japanese are based for this. Buddhism is an extremely degenerate philosophy in the truest sense not the meme modern version of the word. It basically gets a pass from westerners who don’t understand it but there’s a reason basically every other non-Buddhist Asian shits on it
It isn’t divisive anywhere but these threads and the OF
Summary of some things Yoshida said in his patch reading:
>There will be a branching cutscene path in the 6.5 main quest if you have completed Eden
>Though there are only 2 Myth of the Realm quests, their contents are quite long.
>If there is a lot of feedback asking for it, the team could continue to update Island Sanctuary after 7.0
>Plans for major "Lifestyle"-type content in 7.0, similar to Island Sanctuary. (already known, he just said it again)
>There are plans underway in 7.0 to be able to change the interior of a house to remove the columns, or to change the size of the interior.
>For the 7.0 Unreals, it's possible that Endwalker level 90 fights could be updated for level 100.
>Yoshida says he thinks there will be a large number of jobs that will have new rotations and actions added in 7.0. (The water is wet)
>Patch 6.51 will release in late October after London fanfest, 6.55 in mid-January.
>>If there is a lot of feedback asking for it, the team could continue to update Island Sanctuary after 7.0
>jumping right to EW unreals in 7.0
Jesus christ, none of them are good besides maybe Barbariccia. This hack has officially lost it.
Golbez is good, have a nice day and don't resurrect.
Golbez is fricking boring, but he has good voice lines. That's more or less the trend with EW fights as a whole, they're so bad the VA does the heavy lifting.
Barbaracia was good
Reminder that Yoshi-P typically overstates everything he says.
>Yoshida says he thinks there will be a large number of jobs that will have new rotations and actions added in 7.0.
This probably actually means one new action and a finisher to your finisher's finisher.
>For the 7.0 Unreals, it's possible that Endwalker level 90 fights could be updated for level 100.
>Skipping over the Stormblood stuff
It's okay. I didn't need an excuse to do Susanoo again. I'll just try to get a min ilvl group for it sometime
tbf a lot of SB trials were pretty mediocre. I would only care about Susano, Shinryu and Seiryu.
Kind of agree
They had good parts but nobody is going to be hyped up for an unreal fight against Lakshmi
dawntrail will add beastmaster, just watch
PALADINS
our time is now
>lifted weights
>showered
>manicured and painted nails
>went to soibucks to consume the pumpkin spice with my bestie
>made enough food to last me a week
And it's still not 1600 yet....
What the h*ck am I supposed to do until the game goes off maintenance?
there is no fricking way you didn't post this to /vg/ OR the lost ark general
LMFAO
???
Just wanted to say again I’m glad Llymlaen is not a Black person. Thank you Japs for keeping the gods clean.
Now only fear is if they are all dead at the end of it.
>Now only fear is if they are all dead at the end of it.
They don't have a reason to exist anymore. They were clearly Venat's plan b for if she kicked the bucket early
Ah true. Like beings supercharged with Dynamis/faith to take care of Endsinger
And Aether. Lots and lots of aether. Because come on
>Twelve Followers of Venat
>Twelve Gods
They are either unsundered Ancient in their transformed state or Venat spat their souls out
Nald'thal is Hades + Hythlo, so it's not as simple as just the collegegays transforming.
They sound more like Primals to be honest since they take on the forms of the worship people offer them.
Primals don't "change" shapes once taken form, other than certain transformations baked into their conception, they form a "soul" that's remembered by the star. Hell, doubly so since they've never been "unsummoned". The Source's Titan can't be summoned into a different form by faithful who believe in a radically different image, they'd still get the big chicken nugget. At best he gets a different personality depending on the summoner.
>Primals don't "change" shapes once taken form, other than certain transformations baked into their conception
Yes they do. That's exactly what Elidibus did when he changed into a Warrior of Light primal.
>The Source's Titan can't be summoned into a different form by faithful who believe in a radically different image
This happened in the caster role quests this expansion when that priest tried to summon Knights of the Round again but they formed into a single body instead of all thirteen knights. Yeah, Knights of the Round is actually a single primal.
Elidibus just mantled another shell, like taking over Zenos and Ardbert.
No, he changed the faith he was absorbing and it altered his nature as a primal. This isn't Zodiark.
It was never Zodiark, it was Elidibus manteling a Primal.
Elidibus wasn't Zodiark, he was Zodiark's Gundam Pilot.
That's actually the first time Knights of the Round got "properly" summoned. Thordan and his Twelve were the kind of "embodiment" primals like Ysayle and Shiva.
Wonder what would happen if one of her followers tried summoning Shiva now, come to think of it.
>That's exactly what Elidibus did when he changed into a Warrior of Light primal
No? Thordan and Ysale did the same thing.
No, they did not. Thordan and Ysayle were humans who summoned a primal into their soul. Elidibus was himself already a primal. First he was the heart of Zodiark who shifted into an image of Elidibus per the wishes of the other Ancients. Then after the sundering he was starved of Zodiark faith so he replaced it with Warrior of Light faith. So he took on a new image. He didn't summon a WoL primal into him at Seat of Sacrifice, he already was the WoL primal and he took off his limiters.
>Thordan and Ysayle were humans who summoned a primal into their soul. Elidibus was himself already a primal
No, he did exactly what they did. Pandaemonium confirmed the Elidibus you fought was literally his own real soul.
No that was a primal.
It was him.
No, his nature changed. He was a primal shaped by faith, not the real Elidibus.
Go play Pandaemonium. It was the real Elidibus. We literally knock the Primal coat off him at the end of the WoL fight, revealing his true child form underneath. If you were paying attention you'd know the exact same thing happened with Ysayle and Thordan as they died.
He wasn't mantling anything. He was a Primal, not a "true child form". He simply changed shape due to our belief after beating him.
No moron, that was his own soul. How the frick can you say it was a primal changing shape according to WoL's belief when
>1: that's never happened before or since
And
>2: wol never fricking saw Elidibus before that moment
There's no mantle. Elidibus himself, the real Elidibus's soul, had already become a primal when he became part of Zodiark. He never regained his body, he just regained the familiar shape of Elidibus while remaining a primal. He then became the primal of the Warrior of Light when he began diverting that faith to himself.
Dude, listen to me. IT IS HIS SOUL. His soul, which became a primal. And never stopped being a primal.
Listen, man, he's a primal ascian, and he took another body just like he did countless times before. How is that escaping your notice?
He took Ardbert's body, which has nothing to do with him being a WoL primal except that it was helping to focus more WoL faith onto him. He had become a WoL primal long before that.
Ardbert's body provided the vessel which Elidibus used for the Warrior of Light
Except his soul was not itself a primal, it was just a normal soul. Notice how he's not a fricking primal at the tower in EW or in Pandaemonium?
>Except his soul was not itself a primal
Except it was, because it was the heart of Zodiark. Again, the game outright confirms this in plain English. Y'shtola says he's a primal, he says she's correct. It's that simple.
>Notice how he's not a fricking primal at the tower in EW or in Pandaemonium?
Because he died, and the primal was vanquished. The same way you kill Ifrit and the aether used to summon him returns to its original shape.
>Except it was, because it was the heart of Zodiark
Was Fandaniel a Primal?
Fandaniel didn't sacrifice himself in a primal summoning ceremony. When you have to argue in bad faith like this, you lost.
>Fandaniel [arbitrary distinction asserted without evidence]
Fandaniel was mantling Amon.
>The same way you kill Ifrit and the aether used to summon him returns to its original shape
Anon... Primals return to the Lifestream. In their Primal form. If Elidibus was the WoL Primal, he would look like his WoL form.
>Primals return to the Lifestream. In their Primal form.
They don't. Now you're just being delusional. The only example we have of anything like this is Shiva, a mantled primal, being stained onto Ysayle's soul. You are proving the opposite of what you want to prove.

When did he become a primal?
When Zodiark was summoned and he became the heart.
>Pandaemonium confirmed the Elidibus you fought was literally his own real soul.
I didn't say it wasn't.
>Elidibus sacrifices himself to become the heart of Zodiark
>the heart of Zodiark (Elidibus's soul) then unseats itself and regains the shape of Elidibus
>the primal of Elidibus made out of Elidibus's soul then goes through the sundering and is deprived of the faith that fueled him
>he then finds a new faith, and his nature changes accordingly
He is the real Elidibus. He is also a primal.
>He is the real Elidibus. He is also a primal
Primals aren't real. If it was his real soul, then that soul was just mantling a primal concept such as we've seen before
>Primals aren't real.
Huh?
>If it was his real soul, then that soul was just mantling a primal concept such as we've seen before
He wasn't mantling anything, he fully sacrificed his form to take the shape of Zodiark's heart. And he remained Zodiark's heart from then on. He never stopped being a primal, he just changed forms. The game confirms this outright when Y'shtola says "you are a primal" and he responds "correct on all counts", so I'm not sure why there's even a debate here.
The game already said that only one Primal concept can be summoned at a time long (i.e. can't have two Ramuhs) before this and it can't be changed so frankly I'm not sure what anybody's trying to argue to begin with.
The argument is about whether a primal can change its image after being summoned, and Elidibus shows that they can.
>he fully sacrificed his form to take the shape of Zodiark's heart
Ascians shed bodies like people change clothes. The contention was always the question of his soul, and Pan confirmed that it was his own real soul inside the WoL Primal, not some Primal recreation. I can't believe you're really in denial over this shit, haven't you been arguing this point for like four years?
That wasn't me, that was my Primal double muddying the debate.
They're Primals, the dialog in the trailer basically states that outright.
They aren't. They've existed since the Sundering happened. Frick they even said 'No, we aren't Primals'
The trailer has them say they're formed from faith and prayer.
I swear to god G'raha had better turn to WoL after that and ask "Hey, are we fricking stupid?"
>They were clearly Venat's plan b for if she kicked the bucket early
But she's aware of things to come and knows she doesn't though.
Where are all my fat lads lifting to become Ganker?
west of wolves
If the WoL can travel to the past, what's to stop Azem from traveling to the future? Or pulling some Freaky Friday type shenanigans?
wow its fricking nothing
Has the music been datamined yet?
Anon there's no datamines until the patch is available for download, where do you want us to datamine it from, Yoshida's laptop????!?!?!?!
Break into Square Enix and hack the servers. What do I pay you for?
>Final Panda cutscene implies Themis got reborn through the Lifestream
What would an unsundered soul being reborn even look like? Is he going to be a ten-foot tall baby who learns to teleport before he learns to walk?
Not to mention Emet and Hythlodaeus, and all the other Zodiarkhomies. The world is going to get crazy in like 20 years.
With the way time works in FFXIV we'll be meeting the reborn adult versions of all of them mid-Dawntrail. And the twins will still be teenagers
sure his soul is denser but his body will be just human no
Sure, but he should basically have infinite aetherial capacity. Even WoL's is incalculable.
honestly this is all pure speculation at this point but I believe it wouldnt have much effect than bigger MP pool
because eric was kinda stunted too by ancient standards (or athena did that I dont remember), so I'd assume theres few effects to the new person with the same soul
>because eric was kinda stunted too by ancient standards (or athena did that I dont remember)
I think Athena deliberately made him that way. Which makes me wonder are Ancients able to create their children in the same way that familiars/concepts were created.
the other unsundered homies could do crazy shit with the normal human bodies they hopped into
Just aetherically dense. People on the Source are the same size as on the First despite being much closer to a complete unsundered soul.
I think Yoshi-P gave a non-answer in the form of "they will be taller and more sturdier than others, but who knows."
Personally, I think they would be like Zenos and Varis, but with the ability to use magic and maybe longer lifespans.
Baffled they never established that the Garleans were made to be possession-vessels for ancient souls.
Probably got cut with the Garlemald expansion
Isn't that basically what Nier Gestalt/Replicant was?
Pretty much.
FFIX also did it.

First time?

NPC dating confirmed.
>Plans for major "Lifestyle"-type content in 7.0, similar to Island Sanctuary.
fricking eyeroll
>Patch 6.51 will release in late October after London fanfest, 6.55 in mid-January.
I can't remember, do x.51s have story content?
No, 6.51 will have last variant/criterion
>Island Sanctuary so shit they are killing it off after only a few patches
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
In the same way that bozja and eureka were killed off, yes.
>pld now deals more dps than drk
what a horrible time to play drk
Name one time since ShB DRK hasn't been horrible to play.
BRDchads where we at
Me on the left eyeing my next rape target.
do not do the needful sirs

LETS FRICKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>Xeno admits that he doesn't do 70% of XIV's content
And people seriously listen to this autist?!
Apparently you do, yes.
Ysayle:Shiva::Elidibus:Warrior of Light
The Warrior of Light primal was not mantled onto him. All he did was change the faith he was absorbing, and he became a different primal.
>The Warrior of Light primal was not mantled onto him.
Yes, it was.
No, Zodiark was the mantle. He changed the faith he absorbed to become Elidibus, after he had been the Warrior of Light in countless eras.
>mfw they add The Great Hunt (Unreal) at some point in the middle of DT patches
Will never happen but it would be extremely funny if that was the case.
I'm ready, I've got over 100 confirmed kills of the Extreme because the FRICKING mount never dropped on TWO characters.
anyway, i'm glad we agreed with the game that the twelve are not primals
