The only game in the FF series where there was optional content that was all easier than something you can fight in the main story was IV. Every other game past that has shit that's harder than the last boss and the original versions of the first three games didn't have much in the way of optional content (I don't count Warmech and Iron Giant and they're not harder than the last bosses anyway)
Yeah I'm just referring to the huge gulf in difficulty. You'd expect a final boss to be challenging but the design of FFXIV is that you kill the final boss on your first try (or maybe second) and then spend 3 months progging an optional raid.
Superbosses in most FFs aren't even hard and if you fail it's usually just due to bad luck more than anything. Go into Shinryu with coral rings on, win. Go into Omega with a bard, you win. Go into Ruby Weapon and spam Cross Slash, you win. Go into Ozma with dark absorb equipment and spam Doomsday and Ark, you win.
All of these things are strategies that you have to think up through trial and error though. Unless you're a complete homosexual and using someone else's strategy from a guide which is missing the point of like the entire genre.

Should I be worried about his activities in the game?

ARR was launched over 10 years ago so it's understandable that outdated language would still be in the game, but seeing as a new expansion is launching and graphics are getting an overhaul, it might also be time for an overhaul of the character creation UI. Namely, selecting between female and male is an outdated and scientifically disproven way of looking at gender. I propose that body types should be labeled Type 1 and Type 2 or Type A and Type B for a more inclusive and modern vocabulary selection, more up-to-date with present gaming standards.
edit: the fact that people see this as bait is concerning. the majority of game companies now use type a and type b as the new standard. square enix is behind the times and it could soon be seen as being willfully offensive and stubborn. even wow, despite all of blizzard's faults, made the switch.

They replace bloodspiller spam during delirium, it's dark confiteor basically, DRK continues to remain a joke job carried but its overpowered burst
My gamer theory is that they didnt like the tanks all doing the same "Fell cleave 3 times in a row" gimmick, so instead when DRK presses Delirium they get an enhanced 1-2-3 chain.
There's a datamine of changes to skills and traits, but it's mostly illegible and you can really only give your best guess. Most of it appears to just be condensing of abilities into singular buttons to get rid of bloat. Anything "New" is simply just an unnamed ability that we probably wont see until the skill showcase, and even then they wont tell us exactly what it does.

I always wonder if people think I'm griefing for doing single target in aoe pulls when it literally is a damage gain sometimes but I feel like actually paying attention to what other people are doing is hard unless they're really blowing it
I only stop to do single target if there's a beefy boi in the pack, since the tankier enemies also tend to do more damage/have actual attacks besides autos, once they're dead I start AOEing again
It's rarely worth it, and it depends on what skills you have available
For example as a lvl 54 white mage it's better to Holy if there's 2 mobs for 240 potency rather than using Stone3 for 220 potency
But then at max level it becomes better to use Glare on 2 mobs for 310 potency rather than Holy3 for 300 potency
Either way it's minimal and doesn't really matter on pulls that small
as one example - before 74 warrior often wants to switch to single target combo when theres only a couple enemies left because the beast gauge you're building + the inflated potency of your 123 means you're gaining more total potency then spamming aoe on only a few targets + you're getting heals and things are dying faster so they can stop hitting you, then you can open the next pull with a bunch of decimates instead of wasting your berserk on overpower.

To be fair, apparently this expansion doesn't have any reason for an abject evil force. It's mostly about a regime change and a contest for succession. All of the lizards seem friendly to the Scions other than the huge boss lizard, and even then he looks like he's going to be the obvious "Raaaargh I'm the antagonist but wait, here me out for a second and I'll convince you I'm another part of the Good Guy Team on this other side". We really don't need some arbitrary Ancient Evil here.

The stars fall in specific patterns leaving a space based on the element of the star from which they originate. If you look in the night's sky you can see stars of each aspect of aether arranged at compass points. When he spins the platform the stars also move. I just made this up.

The only game in the FF series where there was optional content that was all easier than something you can fight in the main story was IV. Every other game past that has shit that's harder than the last boss and the original versions of the first three games didn't have much in the way of optional content (I don't count Warmech and Iron Giant and they're not harder than the last bosses anyway)
Yeah I'm just referring to the huge gulf in difficulty. You'd expect a final boss to be challenging but the design of FFXIV is that you kill the final boss on your first try (or maybe second) and then spend 3 months progging an optional raid.
Superbosses in most FFs aren't even hard and if you fail it's usually just due to bad luck more than anything. Go into Shinryu with coral rings on, win. Go into Omega with a bard, you win. Go into Ruby Weapon and spam Cross Slash, you win. Go into Ozma with dark absorb equipment and spam Doomsday and Ark, you win.
All of these things are strategies that you have to think up through trial and error though. Unless you're a complete homosexual and using someone else's strategy from a guide which is missing the point of like the entire genre.

ARR was launched over 10 years ago so it's understandable that outdated language would still be in the game, but seeing as a new expansion is launching and graphics are getting an overhaul, it might also be time for an overhaul of the character creation UI. Namely, selecting between female and male is an outdated and scientifically disproven way of looking at gender. I propose that body types should be labeled Type 1 and Type 2 or Type A and Type B for a more inclusive and modern vocabulary selection, more up-to-date with present gaming standards.
edit: the fact that people see this as bait is concerning. the majority of game companies now use type a and type b as the new standard. square enix is behind the times and it could soon be seen as being willfully offensive and stubborn. even wow, despite all of blizzard's faults, made the switch.

There's a datamine of changes to skills and traits, but it's mostly illegible and you can really only give your best guess. Most of it appears to just be condensing of abilities into singular buttons to get rid of bloat. Anything "New" is simply just an unnamed ability that we probably wont see until the skill showcase, and even then they wont tell us exactly what it does.

Levels of tankiety I didn’t think possible.
I always wonder if people think I'm griefing for doing single target in aoe pulls when it literally is a damage gain sometimes but I feel like actually paying attention to what other people are doing is hard unless they're really blowing it
I only stop to do single target if there's a beefy boi in the pack, since the tankier enemies also tend to do more damage/have actual attacks besides autos, once they're dead I start AOEing again
It's rarely worth it, and it depends on what skills you have available
For example as a lvl 54 white mage it's better to Holy if there's 2 mobs for 240 potency rather than using Stone3 for 220 potency
But then at max level it becomes better to use Glare on 2 mobs for 310 potency rather than Holy3 for 300 potency
Either way it's minimal and doesn't really matter on pulls that small
as one example - before 74 warrior often wants to switch to single target combo when theres only a couple enemies left because the beast gauge you're building + the inflated potency of your 123 means you're gaining more total potency then spamming aoe on only a few targets + you're getting heals and things are dying faster so they can stop hitting you, then you can open the next pull with a bunch of decimates instead of wasting your berserk on overpower.
