Gridania is like a Celtic druid enclave but they also lean heavy into Shinto and Okinawan religion. Limsa is very Greek, but inhabited by Caribbean pirates. And Ala Mhigo is Turkey inhabited by Scots following a Buddhism-inspired religion.

The player is temporarily granted godhood by Altana and his evil self from the dead timeline gets granted godhood by Promathia. But then you burn out the divinity in the battle against the evil self.
Throughout the XI story your character was simply a mercenary/adventurer, not some blessed savior of the world. In most of the storylines you were simply a party member among the cast of main character NPCs and not the main focus of the story yourself. The Rhapsodies storyline which is meant to provide an ending of sorts to the entire game showed that in the future you do eventually become a Warrior of Light and the actual ending you experience shows your character, maybe in a bit of a flash forward, do ascend to becoming that superhero.

I am actually kind of disappointed with how the Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid turned out. Also, in hindsight, I think Pandaemonium should have been the alliance raid and Myths of the Realm the normal raid series. That way there could have been a bit more focus on each individual deity. Plus, storming huge swathes of Pandaemonium per-stage feels like it'd be badass, would it not?

Hm, I won't argue that you don't have points. Not sure they were cut content per-say, but I do think the strict regulation of what levels dungeons and trials come each expansion should be relaxed and have them just 'put dungeons where it feels natural/makes sense for the story'. And a Eulmore dungeon could have even been somewhat easy with a largely recycled map plus some blockages and barricades to force you through specific paths. Similarly, I do think Anima in Endwalker should have been it's own trial than just a dungeon boss.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who's tired of how rigid and unchanging things have become regarding dungeons and trials.
Indeed, it did feel especially egregious with Endwalker though, being a big 'tenth anniversary' expansion and the closing of the Hydaelyn/Zodiark story, I wish they had gone more 'all out' with it. I don't think it's BAD, per-say, just there is definite room to improve. Gameplaywise, I think I would have wanted:

The one thing I thought was perfect about the pacing of EW was honestly the appearance of and fight with Zodiark. I've always been rather fond of the whole "you killed what you thought was a/the major antagonist but it turns out you've freed something a hundred times worse" trope, even if it's hard to pull off in a satisfactory manner a lot of the time. EW really suffered in terms of pacing, but I absolutely loved the timing and reveal of Zodiark/Endsinger. Good shit.
Aside from having the equivalent of 3 fricking trolly arcs I thought the pacing was dope.

Are extremes/unreals, savages and ultimates hard to get into? Been wanting to join a friend's PF but I just finished EW and don't know how or where to start.
Extremes and unreals, no. Savages are a step up from that but still doable with some practice. Ultimates you're gonna need to no life somewhat.
Extremes are pretty simple, the first two savage floors are a small step above that. The third savage floor is usually the shitter filter the latest tier it's the second fight though, the third fight is simple.
The curve from extreme to early savage to savage is pretty smooth.
If you want to get into raiding you should always start with Extremes so you get used to harder fights, recognise mechanics and learning coordination with a group. Then do old Savages sync'd. Don't listen to people who say to do them unsync'd there is no point to that. You want to do them sync'd so you can learn mechanics, learn how to do with them. Once you feel comfortable with clearly and know the fight that's when you go unsync and try to Parse.
Try and join an FC and talk with people, you absolutely need to be talking to people remember this is still an mmo and you get out what you put in.
We need FFXI's challenges, maybe not the hourly ones, and the thing where you get server wide buffs every week.

In theory, isn't their reproduction basically just a specialized form of creation magic? Which kind of tracks given they're basically unsundered beings and that's part of why they're so stupidly strong. At least Midgardsormir and the first brood.
They still lay eggs, it's not like they conjure their young with magic. The special trait of dragons is that they evolve extremely fast to fit whatever circumstances they need, which is the trait the Omicrons copied for Omega. My theory is that they used to have males and females and then evolved the ability to reproduce alone because that's just more efficient and it adds a safety net. There's really no other reason why they'd have spirits aligning to the male and female sexes.
It isn't stated to be magical, there's some kind of natural biological process going on there, but it's undeniable that there's a lot of different elemental aspects (like light/ice Hraesvelgr, dark/fire Nidhogg) and physical variety of dragons and that evolution of such can be guided in some way, the huge dragon you have to take down with siege weapons on Ishgard's bridge was stated to be Nidhogg purposefully breeding a siege-weapon dragon within his brood
As far as the story cares they're just a particularly strong variety of alien counterparting Omicrons as flesh vs. machine, and even then humans can shit all over them with enough time and training into dragoons and other specialized dragon-hunters, sundered or not
I hope Dawntrails leads in every every shard being obliterated, even the source and a new big bang happens. A clean slate, where no more Emet, Catgirls and Hingashi.

EE3 explains that Hydaelyn was built from the same 'deity' concept that was used for the basis of Zodiark, so presumably she also had similar reality manipulation powers. She also used to be a lot stronger. The crystals of light she hands out are pulled from her own essence, so she gets weaker every time she gives one. And Lahabrea was ready to bring the hammer down in ARR with Ultima.

That honestly lines up perfectly with the lore of XI's celestial gods. In XI the source of all fire in the cosmos is Ifrit, and the 'Ifrit' you can interact with in the game is just a dreaming piece of the higher god.

"Can't do" is a misnomer, you can snipe portals or ask for a spot over /shout in Eureka just fine. Issue is that because so few people do BA relative to the rest of the playerbase and with forums being a dead breed on the modern internet they've congregated into Discord servers to organize BA runs. People somehow memed themselves into believing that BA runs were "taken hostage" by people that just run it regularly and organized themselves to do it faster and with less fuss.

English Yotsuyu has zero nuance, can't project her voice and sounds like a badly acted psychopath during moments that are supposed to be sorrowful and tender. You keep listing things that are particular to the character, not what is actually part of their performances. When Meteion goes from cute autist to robot mode all the VA does is remove her pretend voice (which already was awful because she never sounded like a kid to begin with) and that's it. Low effort garbage and an insult to the VAs who gave actually outstanding performances, both japanese and french.
