They're coming out throughout the expansion starting with ARR and EW stuff and moving towards the middle.
For what it's worth, most gear already has more than one dye channel so they'd just have to enable it, we might get more than we think to start with. Some newer pieces already have 8+ channels.
I would assume all of the palette swaps will get updated together. So the Skallic stuff for example, which should be some of the last gear updated will be done along with the EW crafted version.
On release but not all pieces, it'll be a continuing thing like upgrading old armor pieces textures. I would like to see them show more of that off, all we've seen so far is the edges of the starter gear.

Graphics overhaul implies more behind the scene optimizations so most visual mods won't be fixed as easily as bumping up the version number
Every expansion breaks Dalamud for a bit, that's normal. But the massive graphics engine update will frick up all sorts of stuff to do with textures and models so a lot of cosmetic mods should become unusable even once Dalamud/Penumbra/etc is back up and working.

Some random guy has adapted every, or nearly every Headwear item in the game to both viera and hroth, including modeling ear holes or ear socks where needed, something miqote font even get anymore, and it works great.

The hat mod I assume he's talking about very specifically goes out of it's way to add comfy looking ear holes to the hat models where ears poke through so it's a bit more work than just ticking a flag unless you wanna claim SE has secretly been adding viera ear holes to gear pieces this whole time.
It's also worth noting that it 'shrinks' some hairstyles when you wear these modded hats which I'm also pretty sure SE wouldn't do either though I can't say for certain on that one.

It's still gonna look shit next to gear from Shadowbringers and on and it's gonna be a bit more noticeable even with the model changes on player races.

It's an extremely sensible way of making money and encourages people to be subscribed, which in turn is good for players because that means there are people to do content with. If the game generates money it can be improved upon like the upcoming graphical overhaul. There is literally no complaint to be made about this that isn't a whiny "Wah I want things for free now even though I couldn't be bothered to be around when they actually were".
While I can see how that's fair initially, as the player base grows it moves to a majority of players not having accounts during those events. In that case, it's essentially a legacy reward. After 5 years, put it up as a 100 tome reward for a mogtome event or something. It still meets the needs of keeping people subscribed and provides a long enough incentive for people to still want to unlock it when it first releases.
As far as the player shop goes, isn't it the case for most shop items that even though you bought it, it gives you the item but doesn't check the flag for you to repurchase it? This is the bigger problem I have with shop items.

Because the entire point of mounts is to have something cool for your character to ride on. In FFXIV, especially, since it's probably faster to form a party and teleport than it is to get everyone onto the moronic mount.

And kaiten didn't exactly change the samurai job too much. just a removal of that ogcd plus some potency buffs. You might see stardiver auto crit now, or mirage dives being automatic or added to the potency of your jumps.

No, there are a handful of bosses that might frick up newbies like the Mist Dragon but overall dungeons are braindead. The only exciting dungeon boss in the game is the Magus Sisters.
What's xiv's "real content"? WoW has Mythic+, Heroic is easy-for-people-that-are-trying, Mythic is the ballbuster content.

Extreme, savage, and ultimate.
Extremes are the trial boss fights like the primals you've been doing in the story with some actual proper difficulty. They actually design the extreme fights first and create the story mode by cutting mechanics out of it, so really the extremes are how they're supposed to be experienced.
Savage is the higher level raid difficulty and the core endgame content.
Ultimates are ballbuster 20 minute long fights that collect like 5 or 6 different boss battles into a marathon with little-to-no room for error.
In WoW, Heroic raids can be done by tenacious or decent quality PUGs but actual premade guilds/FCs will breeze through it in a single attempt (per boss) after it's been out for a few weeks.
Mythic takes months of repeated failures to complete and functionally only exist for guild/FC groups.
Mythic is more or less equal to Ultimates, outside of squabbling over details, but what's more interesting is Savage. Does the description for Heroic sound like Savage to you or is it typically not pugged?

The major difference is that in XIV you don't have to deal with gearing and farming which accounts for 75-80% of the struggle with higher tier content in WoW. For reference the last ultimate took around 8 days to clear, that's 8 days of 16+ hours a day chain pulling the boss without having to spend any time gearing up.

Yes, but it takes a while to actually shine. Like level 54 for Fire IV and level 64 for Triplecast. It is the best ranged job in the game and probably one of if not the best DPS job/s in the game.
I personally enjoy SCH quite a lot. Getting a crit on a shield heal is a big boner moment. AST is awkward.
Raids for story are comfortable. You’ll only sometimes get one or two wipes. Never anything major.
Dungeons are never difficult. Some have a bit more going on than others that can throw you for the slightest loop, but that’s about it.
They exist for fashion, that’s it.
I just cannot get excited for new jobs anymore since I already know how they are going to play: Attack, combo attack, branching combo attack for resource, resource spender, ogcds to be mashed like your mom. And even before it is even born is shackled to the rock that is the 2 minute meta so that it never strays farther than two feet from established sensibilities.
You don't raid so none of that matters, you'll be fine.

It's entirely on purpose that jobs are different flavors rather than entirely different from eachother, you wouldn't need to worry or care about this unless you are doing serious content as the rest of the game is simply story or faceroll content.

Delubrum Savage really made me want more large scale difficult content, it's a bit of a pain to get that many people formed up by the content itself is so much fun. I'd be all for harder alliance raid options but I doubt they'd ever do it.

Because the ancients are boring and have only produced story autists that cannot stop their whining about what did or didn't happen. Things might have been different had we eased into the Ancients instead of immediately going to the highpoint of their story involvement and kill off/write off the biggest characters among them.
