It had the lowest winrate because, as the most blatantly and objectively powerful job in its role, all the shitters used it. Just like DRG had a low winrate because cheat programs in the top ranks made it unplayable. Buffing them is a huge mistake and PvP is now officially dead.

The same thing that makes the other three non-WHM healers "powerful," it doesn't have a reputation for being OP so the only people playing it actually know how to play and aren't expecting the OP job to carry them. SCH is pretty powerful on its own but WHM is just better.
AST is complete and utter dogshit in CC so much that it's laughable but it has a higher winrate than WHM because AST players that actually know what the frick they're doing make up a larger portion of the overall AST playerbase while WHM players that actually know what the frick they're doing do not.
DRG is pretty similar but it also gets completely shat on if anyone is using cheat addons (which is common in crystal rank) to boot

Yeah you can set up triggers that will instantly CC people when they use certain moves or auto NIN LB at a set HP% threshold. At high ranks it's very common to see DRGs getting instantly CC'd before geirskogul's animation even fully starts because someone else has a trigger to immediately stun them while they're vulnerable. Similarly you'll also see NIN players just insta killing players at 49.9% HP immediately.
I'd be more interested to see a breakdown by divisions.

They made aura buffs for everyone to be slightly tankier so smn/sch (which had small nerfs) aren't anywhere near as popular as before. I think classes are mostly balanced now, other than Paladins being able to cover cheese nodes in Onsal

This strikes me as funny considering how unpopular the job seems to be in pvp. People playing SCH are more likely to know what the frick they're doing?
I think the job is just less apparently strong so only the dedicated chads play it. The potency nerf is probably more for frontlines though, since SCH is by far the highest damage class
SCH appears weak because it has no burst or flashy attacks and most of its damage comes from applying constant, sustained damage that gradually drains they enemy's potions and reduces their damage output. It's a goddamn menace in Frontlines on prolonged conflicts because it has the capacity to gradually whittle away an entire alliance's resources while your team mops them up.
The nerf only affects the damage buff/debuff, and 2% isn't really /that/ impactful.

I never worry about alligning my abilities with raid buffs. When my big attacks come off cooldown or I generate enough gauge, I press them.
I do not trust party finder people to press their raid buff at the right time so I won't care either

How do crafted relics work, you get previous xpacs ex trial weapons throughout the expansion? So we'll be making ShB weapons with the trial mats? Do they currently drop or is it new loot
Materials that dropped from the EX trialwere typically used for barding/furniture will be used in crafted weapons which are usually the trial weapons + a new effect. So yes you'll be making ShB weapons with trial mats using old drops.
Typically this also means the prices will have skyrocketed for resale in the first few days.

It's very likely that will happen. The patch notes imply no additional patch for savage so expect leaks for savage mechanics, debuffs etc being everywhere starting tomorrow.

That's literally a buff to MCH. Instead of battery gauge adding more duration to automaton queen, it adds more potency in a shorter burst. The max time used to be 20 seconds, now it's always 12 seconds but the damage it does at max battery has been doubled.
So not only does it do more damage, it'll do more damage in buff windows.

the main thing to remember is that none of the classes with force crit buffs had their potencies on those force crit moves nerfed, meaning that they just get more damage with the new crit/direct hit changes

It was never about DPS parsetroony it's about the class being fun to play
The numbers (probably) balance out, although they did standardise SAM's damage throughout its entire combo rather than keeping it polarised to its iaijutsus which was a lame choice. The fact was is that kaiten was your most efficient resource > damage spender of your three options (ranked: kaiten: buff the next weaponskill, shinten: a standard ogcd attack, gap closer/creator). This meant you had to always have enough kenki on hand to buff an iaijutsu when it was ready or you're in a failure state, whilst dumping enough kenki on shinten so as to not overcap it. Now though, you only spend kenki by spamming shinten. Samurai's damaging oGCD presses are now just one ability, a simple attack you mash as much as you can. Oh - and the gap closer/creator is now just as kenki efficient as the proper attack, so you may as well mash that too. Wouldn't want thought going into its use.

Corsairs in XI are a support-focused gambler job that plays blackjack to buff the party. Set out a buff, and you can keep doubling down to aim for a higher number without busting, or ideally a golden number that's different for each buff. And then in their downtime they shoot elemental bullets.
That sounds like a Gambler class. I was expecting using a cutless and pistol/blunderbuss combo and other nautical moves like throwing anchors and chains or swinging on ropes at enemies.
CORs in XI are a more combat-capable take on Gambler.
It's exactly a Gambler, they're just themed around pirates for the Aht Urhgan expansion.

Stormblood further removed stat requirements like ACC because players did not want to deal with Materia that wasn't a pure DPS increase. Shadowbringers simplified combos even more because raiders created a huge gap between most players in terms of DPS by up to 3-4k and the devs wished to close that gap and Endwalker just tried to do that one more time by standardizing certain jobs by their role to avoid making a class better than the other.
It used to be so much easier to get oranges by pure skill alone but now you're relying on crit RNG and hoping you get party members that take advantage of your buffs and aren't morons.

Losing uses over the fight isn't fully made up for by alignment, otherwise you would have just always aligned to begin with; the other pot buffs make gnb a bit stronger but DRK is still king
DRK has to work harder at staying alive, though, so I'd say that's fair.

the plugins automatically stun/silence/miracle DRG when they use Geirskogul, which puts them in LOTD which makes them take extra damage and then they just melt. It also automatically chains CC effects so if multiple people are using it then the DRG is just completely disabled until they melt.
It was allegedly due to crits which made a huge difference so by giving full crit and just removing kaiten they would get the overall same effect in parsing with less fluctuation. Blame parsetrannies, and I bet its those same gays which are now complaining for it to come back

6.0 it was moving only for Iaijutsu - a nice balance

The problem is that in order to hit every mob with SAM's AoE you have to stand in the direct middle of Enemy AoEs flying everywhere whiling you're a sitting duck charging Tenka Goken
I miss old overpower being a cone, it was easier to know when I was in range of a pack, now I have to know how fast the pack will move to get it just on time
The cone is more irritating as a tank, imo, since the mobs are always following you when you have to switch positions to dodge AOE, and they're no longer ideally grouped to hit them, at least not without shifting them around excessively and annoying your melee DPS.
For SAM, you could hit with Fuga from one side, run through while using Mangetsu or Oka, then turn around and do it again, with the freedom to engage the blob from any side. Plus the cone helps you hit mobs even when you're wallled off by a line AOE.

The story is has nothing to do with existentialism, it's mostly a response to nihilism, at least the latest two expacs are. It's fine to not like it but it's unhealthy to pretend that it being critically acclaimed and so universally praised somehow means it 's secretly bad and only you've cracked the code.

What's wrong with PLD? It feels fine, and I don't really care if I do 1% less damage. It does feel pretty bad if you get synch'd down far enough though.

MCH cucks completely forgetting that the crit/dh changes also affect Dancer, and her inevitable SAM partner via Devilment, which is a much bigger increase than whatever the frick MCH's completely pathetic Drill ability is going to get out of it.

Not only do they affect Devilment, they also affect Starfall which is a guaranteed DH/Crit that you will now be able to use under Devilment for a huge buff. And they affect BRD which has passive crit buffs and a DH buff. The only thing the reassemble change affects is MCH being slightly less bad in a comp with a DRG or SCH. Where you would naturally want a DNC or BRD instead for their crit/DH buffs to stack with those other jobs'.

They care about people being able to be a week ahead in capped resources which is why they never go up before reset on a major patch, even if they finish maintenance early, but they don't care too much if people can get an extra day ahead on Tribal Quests which is why they don't delay to daily rollover on those patches.

I have fun with MNK as a secondary, the blitz system feels reminiscent of Iaijutsu with "smart use of GCDs to open up high damaging attack" and you have a nonstandard main combo + DoT to keep up which I prefer to Ninja's 123123123 with an ADHD burst phase. Both classes have buff window AIDS though which I hate and play SAM to avoid.
Since you played a braindead job. Either of them are too hard for you, but NIN is the easiest among those. Otherwise go tank like DRKcel or something
