another optimization is reopeners once the boss appears again

all of endwaker's plot was shit, from the expansion to the patches. i like the character moments when the characters aren't in fanservice mode, but god these past two years have been misery with this MSQ.
I took a break from a couple of 6.x patches only to come back for 6.5 and playing MSQ back to back, patch to patch, is the most miserable experience I've had in this game since 2.2. The character moments were still good, like you say, but holy shit was it wiener and ball torture in almost every other way.

Like take aether, the floor of 700 is the highest it’s been in a year. Why? The only reason it’s so “high” is because people now realize the glowshit fomo weapons. Because they are able to gatekeep ranked play. Wintraders like Jay and Goemon sit on an alt in queue literally all day and wintrade/throw games. Even though the queue is 30+ minutes.
The point of what they do is to actively kill
the queue. They don’t want people to rank up, they want it as dead as possible so it’s easier to boost their clique and other alts. I mention these gays because they were also banned from CCRC but they can ruin an entire mode for the vast majority of the season. Like right now, I’d you try to queue on aether in the crystal bracket or diamond bracket. You probably will not get a game, but if you do after waiting 30 minutes, it’s going to have a wintrader ruin it for you. It’s the gayest thing imaginable.
MMO PVP is a joke, in this game especially so. If that guy was doing it as a sort of protest/demonstration then good on him but if he's just trolling for attention then he can frick off with the rest of the cheaters. CC ranked is full of people with slight speedhacks, reaction triggers to guard or stun or purify against certain moves, etc. This guy was just doing it all blatantly.
He got banned for 10 days only, he is openly laughing about coming back to do in again as soon as the ban ends. He was banned from 3 platforms permanently yet SE won't give him a permanent suspension for blatant cheating. SE 's moderation is the worst I have ever seen in any MMORPG ever.

Had a lot of fun with the game, played up to P8S. Did a few raiding tiers, one ultimate, and most of the side content. Gameplay became too grindy/unrewarding and when I started to spend more time idling and b***hing about PF/static members than enjoying the game I unsubbed for good. How people have played it nonstop for 4+ years is mind boggling. Don’t miss the LGBTQ shit in all social aspects of the game, the outright bad players in roulettes, and the stupid discord drama in the 3 FCs I was apart of during my stint.

It's more of an issue with difference between casual and hard content. Healers are the most fun when you're doing roulette stuff and you get to help noobs clear content they've never done before with clutches and shit. Hardcore content is the opposite in that a good healer can not save a bad DPS which eventually leads to party wipe from hard enrage - so you have no agency over the result - meanwhile good players know how to avoid taking damage or dying in the first place so aside from unavoidables, you're going to be spamming your only attack and DoT.
DPS meanwhile are the opposite: in casual content you're so inconsequential you might as well just go AFK, brew a coffee and return to see a victory screen. There's hardly any hard or even soft enrages in the game. You're basically a red-shirt. Hardcore content on the other hand actually requires you to learn pretty complex rotations while also juggling fight specific mechanics, because your damage output actually means something in those fights.
Because the raid trannies complained that healers were too impactful to their parses back in Stormblood and the devs listened.
RDPS was a mistake. I hope they add a bunch of temporary skill/spell speed buffs so Kihra can't calculate RDPS anymore and we go back to the days of parsing being a joke because of buff stacking.

Ecelebs and avatargays aside, what are your thoughts on ultimate raids anon? Have you cleared any of them? Which one is your favourite?
i've cleared all of them except UwU. I think i burnt out in the middle of omega, or maybe ive been playing the game too long.
They're overrated, the weapons look mid, and they're no harder than savage just longer.
The biggest leap of difficulty is finding a group of people of adequate skill level that will stick it out, or burning through hundreds or thousands of party finders until you can finally clear.
When the challenge of content is other people's ability to schedule time to play, and their time to understand and execute mechanics on repetition, its no longer fun, just annoying and taxing.
I genuinely hope they one day decide ultimates aren't worth the development time, and instead devote that resource to the development of more content like baldesion arsenal and delubrum reginae savage. Perhaps even savage versions of the alliance raids, that content is genuinely fun while being lenient enough that that high capacity of people can still break through, i especially liked Ozma in BA because you will clear if you know the mechanics, and people who failed don't get the reward, fair.
all that said, the thordan/nidhogg ulti was my favorite one, but i don't want to ever do any of them again.

This is the key thing that puts me off raiding next expac. I think Extremes are the best content in the game because they're so easy to PF and your individual skill can carry others through some things. But I don't want to take ultimates away from people who do enjoy them. And I'll also praise ultimates for often having interesting enrages whereas most fights just have "long cast bar then black screen" which is really boring.
TOP seemed to really lack the spectacle that TEA/DSR had.
TOP is the closest fight to perfection after the autos got fixed. DPS is tight and feels relevant, there is lots of uptime to optimize, autos are threatening. If I could fix something else it would be the lack of VA and Limitless Synergy being a non mechanic.
DSR would be the best if P6 wasn't so garbage. The entire fight is brought down by random uptime/downtime into 3% hand of pain.
UWU is too easy for DPS. You have like 1 role responsibility in the entire fight and the only body check is Suppression.
UCOB is jank but it also has some things newer fights are lacking. The pure chaos that is Nael the moment things get put of control is something no recent ult has replicated. Bahamut suffers from having filler trios which luckily don't happen anymore. Fellruin might as well be Fillerruin. Also Golden is a joke carried by its DPS check which doesn't exist anymore.
Haven't finished TEA yet but from a couple sessions it is a very structured fight with very fixed role responsibilities. I assume if you like seeing the 'dance' in raids TEA must be a favorite.
A waste of development time given how lacking Endwalker was in the areas that mattered more.
I'd also say the concept of DSR was such a cool one that it feels wasted on niche content no one will actually do like an ultimate.
cleared all of them, TOP is the best (best replayability, if you've cleared it once you can clear with a different job with very minor changes whereas other ultimates have role specific mechanics). honestly best part about these encounters is their last phases: Golden Bahamut, UWU ultima weapon, perfect alexander etc. they are all very epic/have spectacle in these phases. can't wait to see what happens to shinryu, eden promise, athena/lahabre and endsinger
