there was a datamined samurai styled armor set that had an id right after the season 1 armor set. patch or two ago removed it, so you can't find it in the files now.

I like Thordan's mechanics in principle but there is way too much downtime even for an ultimate, and modern XIV fight design means you have to always have uptime so there's no real skill involved once you know how to do the mechanic. I wouldn't say TEA was more fun but we're 2 patches in and none of the fights have been particularly great

Any tank with two functioning brain cells can pick up mobs before regen emnity becomes a problem. Doubly so if you're sprinting next to your tank as you should be.
I never assume tanks have braincells. Especially sprout tanks. I haven't run Stone Vigil since the rework but that was always a pain
The most trouble I run into on new Stone Vigil is overpulling, because some healers can't even handle a 2 pack pull.
The design of the dungeon itself isn't changed but the middle boss where you shot it out of the sky with cannons got changed so its like a EW era boss with wind mechanics. Isgebind got outright nerfed since it no longer leaves lingering ice puddles.

God DSR is such a garbage fight.
The mechanics aren’t even hard. Pinax is arguably harder than any of the mechanics in DSR. It’s just TOO FRICKING LONG. Hell, the only fun part of the fight is Double Dragons but you have to trudge through months of prog just for the ebin "you saved Haurchefant" wholesome chungus moment. TEA was a thousand times more fun.

DSR has some neat mechanics but lots of phases are slogs you will never realistically wipe to after doing it once, and there's so much fricking downtime. All the gear you pick up is also pretty contemporary, like Dragoon wearing a coat-of-plates that resembles military formal wear instead of a full suit of armor, and it's a plot-point that all the loot you pick up is obtained locally for the purpose of the Stranger mission.
Jack is an outsider to Cornelia's reality but that pretty much stops after you wear something that isn't the starter modern clothing.
