Which is why Reaper's job quest makes a big deal about vigilance and remaining the master of your voidsent so you don't get Orcus happening
On top of that the voidsent are not actually demons and there is a hierarchy of them based on their power, there is no one central "devil", you contract an individual whose capability of backstabbing you is entirely up to them
Reaper is barely any different from Dark Knight which is always stated to tap into its own life-force and into dark powers for its capabilities

Neither is making pacts with demons known for fricking people over the first chance they get. They literally show you examples of this constantly, including in the RPR quests as a cautionary tale. There's literally zero reason they can't add Necromancer. If they want to add it, they will add it.

That doesn't matter. The game has literal zombies and skeletons already. If they wanted to avoid the "desecration" bit they could just have Necromancers invoke spirits instead of flesh. Again, if they want to add it they will. It's their game. You can argue this all you want but they can do whatever the frick they want. If you told people prior to EW we would be getting a voidsent possession job you'd be seeing the same arguments you're making right now.

Meanwhile at least 40-50% of all enemy models in the game are straight ripped from XI, just tossed around the world without much thought, using empty enemies on the moon was silly by the way. If they are willing to port enemy models over then where are the gear sets? the game has hundreds of amazing pieces that with a few tweaks would look fine in XIV and would cut down on the amount of re-used sets in dungeons and crafted items while also saving effort in the long run.

I think at this point if XI and XIV were to have any significant story crossover nowadays, it'd have to be through a Dynamis zone, an Escha zone, Abyssea or have the Destiny Destroyers show up and accidentally summon Chaos

Qi of Earth, Qi of Water, Qi of Wind, whatever they might make those. Give it party buffs and a heavy focus on shields. And give it a job gauge you use to attune to different cardinal directions to augment your spells in different ways.

WHM doesn't even use geomancy themed spells since Shadowbringers.
