Presumably there is some element from the trailer that was present in TOP. I wouldn't know because I couldn't get past the first phase with my semi-casual friends, and I don't spoil fights for myself.
Oh dude these ARPGs and action games by Square purposefully avoid having playable Dragoons of any kind. Dragoons are a fricking wicked idea but they're insanely difficult to implement in any satisfying way that doesn't also overshadow every other character class or type. It'd be like giving you Prototype or Infamous movement while everybody else works on normal JRPG movement.
Final Form feels like proto Dragoon. Also I doubt the Omega fight is gonna be hard, 16 barely has any fricking systems and 99% of bosses dont have mechanics besides evade beam.
FF16 is pretty darn challenging if you take off all the crutches. Meaning play the game with starting equipment only and don't grind.
The DPS checks many late-game bosses have are no joke for instance and require some finesse to get past, it's just that they become irrelevant for the 99% of players who don't limit themselves.
their biggest deal in turn-based games is being able to put them in the back row because of spears which makes them a heavy-armor job able to take even less damage by default, that and you're invincible for jump's duration
stuff that are gonna be showed into the section before the final fight just like all the main character focused side quest despite them not having much time
why
Looks fun, but just more of what I’ve already spent 80 hours on. I was hoping for more playable characters or something else to mix it up. I’ll still play them though, assuming the price is right. I really wanted more on Jill and Dion though.
Oh yeah I agree, I was pleasantly surprised when he moved past his edge and rage, I didnt thought japanese devs had it on them for a character to have more than one arc in a videogame.
But anyone not named Clive on that game is just ignored.
Agreed, Clive’s development was handled really well. But yeah you’re right. Unless they do a 16-2, basically we can forget about getting anymore meaningful content on any of the other characters. Their only purpose in the story is their relationship with Clive. And ive given up on more playable characters. Like damn man, even 15 gave other characters their own DLC eps. Oh well.
>I didnt thought japanese devs had it on them for a character to have more than one arc in a videogame.
Easy to forget if you've only been playing Square Enix's single player output for the past couple of decades, but Final Fantasy used to have good characters. Cloud has a whole rollercoaster of arcs going on throughout FF7.
And FF14 has a lot of characters that are on Clive's level, though that's across basically multiple sequels in the form of expansions.
>Z and Ultima have the same voice actor and the literal same evil lair with the same name
And 16's story at large shares a shitload of similarities with Xeno 1.
Yes, there's a lot of overlap between Xenoblade/FF14/FF16/Elden Ring. Several of the VAs were also in Game of Thrones. Imagine still playing games with garbage American VAs at this point. Brits or Japs only for me.
When did XV get a hard mode? As far as I know the closest thing to "hard mode" was an accessory that you equipped to prevent you from leveling up at resting points, but you still had exp stacked and it took an accessory slot or something.
I managed to not be aware of it during my time with the game since it was included in a patch that didn't even download automatically when I got the royal edition.
this was obviously cut content they didn't finish in time but >no cid or dion
it's a skip for me. unfortunately these probably won't sell enough to fund another round of more interesting dlc either
There's your Black folk, journalists. They were in a different island because most of the world is dead and there's very few humans living.

>No big 2.0 update redemption arc like Cyberpunk/No Man's Sky that fixes the sidequest and improves RPG mechanics. >DLC story is "lee ancient item go check it out". >No PC version.
if getting leviathan to become even more whole doesn't change anything like changing the name on the book to clive implying even he survived, i will be mad
>went to NG+ >overwrote my NG save right before the final mission
please don't tell me I have to play all the way through fricking NG+ to get to the DLC?
Lets be honest the DLC coming out tonight was probably just the post game dungeon they had already completed in the base game cut out to make some extra cash.
>After getting Leviathan, the new DLC director said Clive's fate might change.
I don't care what gays say, I fricking love Clive and I hope it's genuinely a wholesome ending
The locales in the DLC are pretty cool hope whatever game they work on in the future keeps this sorts aesthetic I like it alot. Maybe more high fantasy in the next as I love XIV more from a raw aesthetic standpoint and I like the dashes of it in this game.
makes sense since they had a npc noting it in the fields
dlc 1 will probably be entered through that door in the path towards phoenix gate very much planned dlc
not so much planned just restoring cut content so they could make their release date
not that they feel any shame for then charging you for restoring the content
This is clearly not cut content since it has nothing to do with the main story and is squeezed in right before the final boss where it doesn't actually make any sense storywise.
no it was clearly cut dude
it doesn't fit in very well because a lot would have changed from the time it was cut from the full release to when the story was finalised. what is was originally intended to be may have also changed a bunch too but it was born from cut content
It literally won an award for best Score tonight, with Ben Starr winning the UK equivalent of the TGA's in the UK last month along with Soken best Score and pic related.

yes and there's nathan and some other guy too. i think "larry" is specifically from the kids trying to ride on barry's tailcoats with XVI for whatever moronic reason. you see they chose larry, because it sounds like barry.
Barry has a whole list of those - every time some rando sends him into a meltdown, he starts thinking everyone is that person for a while. He still can't conceive of just how many people hate his guts.

Sad. Talented people like him really need to stop worshipping these awards. Its really unfortunate. You’re arguably the best ff English dub main protag voice actor ever, and you’re upset about this fricking clown show dorito pope award ceremony? Come on dude
The sheer range of Astarion is what put him over. Clive as a character just wasn't written with that much emotional range. Ben did at the very least deserve to be nominated however.
>seething rage at Hugo >tenderness for Jill >tearful sorrow and self hating over Joshua >dry humour
He had loads of range, he just didn't get points for being a flamboyant homosexual
This is the reality and anyone who disagrees is moronic. As soon as I saw the Astarion VA fairy dance up to the stage with his gay accent I understood why they didn't give it to a straight white Chad playing a straight white Chad in his game
I agree with this. The appeal of le funny gay British man to normies is insane.
BG3 is still a mystery to me on how so many people played it, the way it exploded.

The reason Astarion blew everyone else out of the water is because Larian built the story around its characters, not separate from them. You have millions of lines of dialogue that fully form the character you interact with, as opposed to watching Clive be brooding and angry for the first 3rd of the game, Stoic the the second 3rd and self righteous for the last part of the game.
To top it off, Neil Newbon is a far more skilled and experienced voice actor. Ben Starr is some random failed hollywood D-lister. So yeah, Neil won at his art and with character focused writing. Ben *might* have been able to pull something off, but the writing didn't allow for it.
Clives "relationships" are his random conversations spread among well over 50+ NPCs, him avoiding his brother for 90% of the game; and barely spending time with anybody such that Jill writes him letters because he has no time for relationships. Him becoming "Cid" was a huge fricking mistake because he lost his own identity in the process and became his own hub.

>him avoiding his brother for 90% of the game
And to think, I was actually gonna finish reading your post too
Genuinely feel like I must have missed the mark on something in BG3 because it feels like the most bland, generic, milquetoast story being told for each of it's characters and nothing really incredible or profound is happening. The delivery from actors ranges from okay to excellent, but I really don't think the writing of BG3 is one of it's strongest parts.
You probably didn't give two shits about the characters and didn't notice the massive amount of detail they had from dialogue to movement.

Kind of a bizarre projection in response to nothing I actually said. I enjoyed plenty of the characters and a lot of it has to do with the delivery of dialogue and small interludes, as well as visual presentation like animations and quirks, but it doesn't mean overall the writing quality is very good, in fact it's very predictable. If you'd like to give some examples of these massive details you think i've missed then please do, but also what do you mean by "from dialogue to movement"? Because I wouldn't quanitify "well animated characters" under the umbrella of the quality of their writing.
Anonymous
It's not a projection. Some people focus more on gameplay when they play RPGs, and there's nothing wrong with doing that. If you couldn't see the massive amount of detail devoted to characters, their development and interactions with the world, you probably didn't care that much. I find it hard to believe you've paid attention to Astarion in any capacity since most people, especially on this board, call Astarion a homosexual, kill him or focus on the female characters.

Telling me how I engaged with the game when you don't know the first thing about me just because I dared to question the quality of the games writing is still bizarre, and again, please enlightment me on these massive details I missed that you found so profound that they changed your view of the games narrative. I just finished up Astarions quest last night, and while Neil's performance was great, it still wasn't particularly amazing narratively, and I would say Cazador was actually a let down in pretty much every category from appearance to actions compared to how much he'd been built up over the course of the game.
Enfranchisement is a hell of a drug, and unfortunately people don't care for excellence in writing anymore, as long as it's serviceable and hits the right beats then enfranchised drones lap it up
>seething rage at Hugo >tenderness for Jill >tearful sorrow and self hating over Joshua >dry humour

Jeez anon, idk
I really wish we got some kind of expanded ending DLC. Maybe we can absorb Leviathan in the past and now with Leviathan we can withstand Ultima's magic in the ending.
since real ff16 people are here with the new trailer
can anyone explain to me why they decided to make the alien looking villains not aliens??
this makes the whole "forgoing our bodies for the journey" super stupid if all that entailed was crossing some waters
i also have a hard time believing that a species so advanced that they have floating airships, automations and even space satellites, hadn't concerned the entire planet and all it's lands by the time the blight sprouted, there's no way they could just stumble upon valisthea
>can anyone explain to me why they decided to make the alien looking villains not aliens??
That’s a silly question lol but to answer, typically gods tend to create us in their likeness
It was always obvious from the lore texts that he wasn't an alien from space. People like you are just stupid and leap to conclusions based on clichés despite a total lack of evidence in the writing. He also doesn't look like an alien, he looks like a human with weird eyes.
i mean, they sent a satellite to space and mastered space time magic and progressed to even greater heights technologically than anyone else
i'd alays imagined them as a species who wants control which equals as knowledge of everything and that includes their star
"Made in the image of God" it's a religious trope. God sees himself as perfect, creates man in his image. Ultima is from a different planet, his old planet was completely destroyed. They traveled from their planet to Valisthea.
So you're saying the devs clarified that they have bad writing? Nice. It makes no sense for a species that created humanity itself, could fly and teleport, was extremely technologically advanced, to lose their bodies to fly 2 miles across the planet. Especially if they had the power of Dominants.

Whether or not you think it's bad writing, it is the case and was always the case, and I always said people who thought they were aliens were moronic, even before it was debunked by the devs.

I am not defending the game, moron, and you do not have common sense.
The only thing I have done is tell you that your fanfiction is wrong according to both the in-game lore and the devs, triggering an autistic meltdown from you.

I'm surprised he's still on 16 and didn't move over to rebirth yet, what about 16 in particular has kept his interest. Is it just that it's the new mainline game and rebirth is just a remake/spinoff/etc.
General populace is still going to be wary of rebirth jumping the shark, VIIR has its own pathetic pseudobarry that calls every detractor one person at the end of threads. Meanwhile yoshida basically flat out said XV was a kusoge that needed to be rectified with another action game
It has the 14 guy behind and is PS5 "exclusive". I dont think it will get over it in years, sometimes he may be busy with rebirth, mhw and dd2 when their games are close to release but meanwhile he is going to make 16 his main focus
FF7R, mh and dd gays got a really good time though thanks to 16 dlcs kek
I wanted to get into mh and dd before their next games so I guess this is good for me, but I also wanted to talk about XVI dlc, so I guess I'm also fricked. If you're a mhgay, where should I start, rise or world?
The demo is good, but that's pretty much the peak of the game. The combat really doesn't get any more complex aside from you simply getting more abilities and the enemy variety is absolutely terrible.
Why are people surprised FF16 was a commercial failure? They didn't even try to keep DFFOO alive with 16's cast in an attempt to keep interest in it longer.
Did they really have to drop this dlc at the point of the game when a thousand sidequests appears all at once?
they could've had it take place after getting shiva, since the group returns to the hideaway for no reason to "regroup"
Does the game look as washed in greys as that trailer, or is S-E incompetent at handling color profiles when recording footage? It reminds me of the days of early LCD displays that had atrocious black levels.
The FF14 team sucks at color grading, but the world is also covered in gloomy clouds by that point in the story. Which was an absolutely awful design decision, making players spend most of their side questing time in that environment.
Been saying it for nearly a decade, anyone who thinks XIV is using a shitty monitor, probably some gaymer shit. XIV (and XVI) looks good on a properly calibrated monitor.
False. FF14 looks good in areas with predesigned, static lighting, such as raid arenas, but 90% of the time in the open world including cutscenes, the game is completely washed out, and character lighting and shading is atrocious.
It's been a while since I played it, but I don't remember the game being this washed out. It could be because this is all taken during the ending plot point that fricks up the sky and lighting though.
The FF14 team sucks at color grading, but the world is also covered in gloomy clouds by that point in the story. Which was an absolutely awful design decision, making players spend most of their side questing time in that environment.
Some images of things not shown in trailer from Famitsu, they also mention that the team on XVI is mainly a DLC team and that they seem to have mostly moved onto their next project assuming the tl isn't massively off.
I would hope that same team is going to improve the core game leading up to its eventual PC release, due to the complaints about shoddy fetch-quests, and everything feeling spongy in the fields.
Enemies in the field aren't that spongy unless you're super conservative with your ability use for some reason. If anything the complaint should be that your four-hit (+magic burst) combo is pathetically weak for some reason.
I think we can kiss the "we are sorry, here is the free 2.0 update" goodbye. They just want this out so they can work on another project. I still have some hopes for the 2nd DLC, but the fact they didn't roll any core improvements for the 1st DLC is showing.
It's got a couple of improvements as well as new accessories and the like but it's not an out and out overhaul of stuff because yeah no It's more along the lines of an intergrade esque DLC. It's not poised to fix literally everything ala Cyberpunk or XV, the reception wasn't anywhere near that negative.
The reception for the Side Quests was unanimously negative, then you have the final 2/3 of the game, lack of enemy variety, exploration, and RPG elements. Square probably looked at the 87 Metacritic and just thought it was good enough and the criticism was a loud minority.
By all accounts it technically was and no FF has changed their side quest structure post release unless it was literally bricking your progress or something. They all do the same fetch quest shit as XVI there was no world where a dlc was going to modify that. At most you can hope the areas in the leviathan dlc have more fleshed out side content but they aren't changing stuff like that.

When it comes to enemy variety they did show a decent amount of new enemies but we'll see once people start playing the DLCs seriously.
yoshit made square a lot of money milking the mmo troons dry, he's earned some leway. barry and his strike team are working on it at the behest of SE upper management
>If you read the article
Which you didn't. >Losses came from other failures at SE
SE specifically stated XVI's dev. and advertising costs as the reason.
Why? Its a fact he "fixed" ff14. FF16 is victim of another bad snoy deal but they can recover from that
Only real huge damage was Forspoken and the moronic CEO selling their Western ips for 4 peanuts, even if ff16 sold 30m they are going to need time to recover from that
From what I remember seeing lurking in threads, it did ok. Enough to break even at the least, but not large enough to over shadow some of square enix's previous failures like avengers, which is why it was described as meeting expectations but not high end expectations, or something like that,
Well yeah, why can’t xvi get a similar treatment? I love Clive, but his story is over. I played as him for over 50 hours and I had a blast. I want something else now
EotF is 3-4 hours according to the article. Leviathan DLC is 10 hours since it's a full new field, new bosses, new eikon fight, new eikonic abilities, etc.
You're probably too poor to understand how investing and public corporations work. SE saying they've suffered huge losses outside of FF16 will still cause investors to sell
If I remember correctly, it was everything outside of 16 and pixel remaster that was suffering. Their mobile profits were down, the mmo was losing subs because it was between expansions, and they even had loans they were paying back so any profit they were making was lowered. I'm still amazed square fricked up a final fantasy gacha, that should be one of the easiest money makers
SE is like Capcom, it can get failures they can easily recover thanks to popular name.
They also just got caught in the middle of millennials dealing with age crisis and they spend more time looking for drama than consuming, so for every 50 gays having fun, you have 10 dedicated ones complaining and being more vocal
For example, see the last ff7rebirth thread CLERITH, it was a great thread, thanks to the only vocal negative homosexual not being present.
>They also just got caught in the middle of millennials dealing with age crisis and they spend more time looking for drama than consuming, so for every 50 gays having fun, you have 10 dedicated ones complaining and being more vocal
All this cope, maybe xvi is just a mediocre ff game.
No need to create a schizo narrative for the feedback this game is getting.
I'm noticing this a lot. There were good jrpgs but it's true they don't sell 5 millions and people prefer to complain or look for something to shitpost about.
every post you make is more pitiful than the last. 7re is good and rebirth is anticipated. I post there with love and fun, I post here to encourage the banishment of yoshit and his cult
One of the greatest things 16 did is keep shitposters busy so other FF games can have nice discussions, a sacrifice most of the fanbase will never acknowledge

Well I guess 16 failed at it's job and is a complete flop. Seriously though, if that's true, then I sadly imagine that the cancer will spread to rebirth threads when that launches and make them closer to remake threads. I guess there really isn't much to shitpost about when you only have trailers, or it's just easier to shitpost about a released game. I was hoping to finally get around to playing remake so I can play rebirth at launch, but if this is the kind of threads I can expect, I guess there's no hurry

I can see that doing well, but I'm surprised they never did a fire emblem heroes but with final fantasy and make it 4 homies in a row gacha game. Also now you have me intrigued, what happened in august to cause a huge fall?
This Famitsu interview goes into way more detail about how the DLC were planned and created.
The first DLC is about 3 hours long, mostly battle content with new accessories that can change up the gameplay, ie. massive multipliers on air combat and extended air stomps.
The 2nd DLC is about 10 hours long and is more story focused, with a big Eikon battle and new powers for Clive.
They also talk about the PC development and how it'll probably bundle in the DLC. And you'll need a good SSD they said.
>new accessories that can change up the gameplay, ie. massive multipliers on air combat and extended air stomps.
Oh good. This was one of my biggest complaint with the base game, how basic the itemization was and how little you could actually customize your playstyle.
Frick vee
I fricking love ffxvi outside of cids daughter and the side quests. But just playing this game is so relaxing. I forgot and had become jaded due to vee but damn this game is good

I'm gonna coom in my panties
This is literally like getting an empty XIV patch with a literal Eikon trial.
Tonberry King looked cool af
i really wanted a cid dlc to flesh out the other dominants that got frick all, like benedikta and barnabus and i guess teen dion too
Nobody's buying this shit lol
I am
Wrong.
FFtards will buy anything with the branding on it
What? I'm buying both I had fun with the game, i didn't think they'd release the dlc so soon I was expecting end of Spring next year at the earliest.
Just did gay
did they say they went to Merycidia?
Mysidia dumbass, not everything is FF14, even if a lot of it is.
>Z and Ultima have the same voice actor and the literal same evil lair with the same name
Still funny
>Z and Ultima have the same voice actor and the literal same evil lair with the same name
And 16's story at large shares a shitload of similarities with Xeno 1.
Isnt the voice acting director/studio the same for both games?
Yes, there's a lot of overlap between Xenoblade/FF14/FF16/Elden Ring. Several of the VAs were also in Game of Thrones. Imagine still playing games with garbage American VAs at this point. Brits or Japs only for me.
Mysidia you goofball
The music in the beginning sounds terribly familiar. City of the ancients in FF7 or something?
>Bro, FFXVI will be a completed game, we will not make new content unless we see that there is demand for it
>Put's out 2 DLCs in less than a year
Sounds like there was demand for it.
>inb4 mental trannastics to ultimately just say "n-nuh uh"
You missed the point, moron.
>Leviathan missing from the game
>conveniently appears in the DLC
Wow how organic and totally not planned from the beginning
Leviathan is on the box art for the collectors edition, he’s cut content, they didn’t plan DLC from the beginning
SE keeps doing this because you morons keep excusing it
Don't forget Waloed being barren empty and having a blocked off but clearly created area.
Waloed DLC coming soon.
and theyre blatant cut content at that
its literally cut content
January leak said leviathan dlc was happening
>Omega Aionios
>Z is ultima
>barnabas is malos
>Final Flopasy 16 DLC: Echoes of the Floppen
I'll probably just wait till both DLC's come out before I play it. Maybe by then a PC release will come
>one dlc releases today
I love it when games shadow drop shit
Same combat? No play.
>Expected FFT Remaster/Sequel
>Got nothing
Ivalicebros still suffer.
Matsuno deconfirmed that a few days ago. It's ogre, bros.
That's false. He only said he couldn't say anything about it. For obvious legal reasons.
>black female character
>after the entire no black people
woah he really fricking bowned down
And of-course made her ugly and look like a dude.
So uhh, how much does the dlc costs? And what does it bring? We know fricking nothing, this is the first time we are seeing them.
Wonder if they'll do a hard mode free update like XV and 7R did. SE has a tendency to just delay difficulty modes for seemingly no reason.
hard mode is already in the game, it's just exclusive to NG+
When did XV get a hard mode? As far as I know the closest thing to "hard mode" was an accessory that you equipped to prevent you from leveling up at resting points, but you still had exp stacked and it took an accessory slot or something.
I managed to not be aware of it during my time with the game since it was included in a patch that didn't even download automatically when I got the royal edition.
Maybe I misremembered lol I could've sworn it did but ik Forspoken did get one as well as 7R.
wait...Forspoken actually got DLC?
Worst thing about console exclusives is having to wait for Sony to get of their lazy asses and update their store.
They were literally legally bound to.
They didn't have a choice. They sold the dlc pass at launch.
It was release it or be sued so.
Yeah and its better than the ff16 dlc
hello Barry
yeah, for the same reason the garbage Saint's Row reboot also got DLC. They sold a season pass so they had to put something out
this was obviously cut content they didn't finish in time but
>no cid or dion
it's a skip for me. unfortunately these probably won't sell enough to fund another round of more interesting dlc either
Will wait to play again on PC with higher difficulty ratings available on the first playthrough.
Looks fun.
didn't they say the first DLC is out today?
Yeah Rising Tides seems like it's a new continent, new eikon, etc.
Square forgot to tell Sony to update the store.
Probably updates at 12 est
>no post ending DLC
dropped harder than an atom bomb
They can't do that, otherwise they'd have to eat their words about 15's unfinished ending.
>2nd DLC Spring 2024
thats a big gap
7R is releasing in February, so they're leaving a bit of a gap.
The more important question is: PC VERSION FRICKING WHEN?
>PC VERSION FRICKING WHEN?
probably to coincide with the 2nd DLC
>FF7 rebirth
>FF14 expansion
I guess that makes sense
Making space for Rebirth bro
There's your Black folk, journalists. They were in a different island because most of the world is dead and there's very few humans living.
What's your complaint now? They look too "eurocentric"?
you call that black? they're more like swarthy whites this b***h over here even looks like she has blue eyes
Too late anon
Also journos are the racists here, pretending arabs were not poc. Actually even arabs, latinos etc complain about them being replaced just by african blacks kek
>yoshi-p fricking bowed down to the blackrock money
im so mad
this game is still dogshit
the journos didnt make the game a boring slop
You will never fit in, journo. Not even when you type in lowercase.
>Attacks literally everyone for no reason
>"Why don't I have any friends IRL?"
It's because you need to relax friendo
>no denial about being a journo
Didn't hear any denial from either my man. So if we follow your own logic, you've posted a self-own.
Your premise was flawed since you implied journos were "literally everyone". Your fault for being a moron, journo.
Ok boomer
>have to make a israelitetube acct to watch
nah frick that
And yet the Game Awards didn’t announce a Final Fantasy IX Remake, despite FFVII Ever Crisis having a crossover event with IX that seemed to tease it.
>No big 2.0 update redemption arc like Cyberpunk/No Man's Sky that fixes the sidequest and improves RPG mechanics.
>DLC story is "lee ancient item go check it out".
>No PC version.
They really just want to get this out.
>>No big 2.0 update redemption arc
SE would only allow it for ff7 remake shit.
Looks kino
PC when?
troony game
shame combat is such a bore with no varying combos and you spam the same eikon moves over and over.
skill issue
huh, at least this finally gave me a reason to turn on my PS5 for once
So true. It'll probably collect dust until February for me. I'm probably going to wait until a PC release to get the DLC for 16.
Where's the PC port?
that new location doesn't have the doom sky
Waiting for the Ultimate Edition that includes all the DLC on PC
More DLC soft confirmed
The trailer literally said that there would be another DLC in Spring.
They better be more than 2 DLC if they're selling a fricking expansion pass.
It worked for Breath of the Wild.
>They better be more than 2 DLC
lol
lmao
we're probably lucky we're getting any DLC, let alone two
They're going to pump out a bunch of cheap DLC made by pajeets or chinks to get this games sales #'s up and you know it.
>dlcs are already on sale
AHAHAHAHAH TOTAL BARRY DOMINATION
And how much is the fricking thing??
looking kind of weird with normalish proportions...
The kings usually are bigger in most games tbf.
Now THAT'S a knife.
>That music
Oh frick, my body is ready for tonight
PS Blog Post
>New Battles, Level Cap, Buster Sword skin in Echoes of the Fallen
https://blog.playstation.com/2023/12/07/final-fantasy-xvi-two-new-story-dlcs-announced-first-launches-today/
Unrelated to that but it seems like Tonberry King was a multi step side quest with a boss at the end.
what I hope will happen is having an additional post-game cutscene if you beat the DLCs as well
if getting leviathan to become even more whole doesn't change anything like changing the name on the book to clive implying even he survived, i will be mad
I didn't expect they would announce it this soon and coming tonight? holy frick
What's the fricking point if the DLC is post-Cid he was the best part of the game
>went to NG+
>overwrote my NG save right before the final mission
please don't tell me I have to play all the way through fricking NG+ to get to the DLC?
please re enjoy the game
Bad news anon. You have to reach Origin.
>deleting your ng+ star save
lol why you got a ton of slots
>Mysidia mentioned
uhh
Didn't Yoshida say it would be a full game and no DLC
he was just being careful not to over promise
*full experience
Y'know, like how people advertise lite beer?
Think she's Leviathan or just sex?
looks like she was plucked straight out of Eorzea
that's like 90 percent of the game, the main artist's entire career before the game was working on XIV
Noticed she's with the party so she's the 5th party member looks like. Shame Dion isn't there.
medicine girl is literally a non-character
wow
>hints of deep blue in her top. Like how the other Dominant's have their Eikon's color in their attire.
I think so
I don't care about this b***h, I wanted more Dion
>She
Huh?
FF16 got DLC before Elden Ring
Lets be honest the DLC coming out tonight was probably just the post game dungeon they had already completed in the base game cut out to make some extra cash.
Barry won lmao
Even 7R2 is only at like 5k even in JP SE acc it's really not a big deal.
>new kojima game
>award fanbase wars
>bunch of new ips
>gta6 2 days ago
>ff rebirth trailer
Well duh. Only a handful of ppl give a frick about this dlc
I'm still surprised Ganker didn't spam the medicine girl.
ok when other game release dlcs 4 months after release is cut content but when squareenix does this shit its fine?
i will never be happy until i get to have fun in any of the major cities
cid dlc would be perfect
So where is it?
>Leviathan is called "The Lost" because its entire tribe fricked off from Valisthea
kek
Missed the opportunity to announce the PC version release date. That's the only thing that could bring the hype no matter how small to this game.
They are likely forced by contract, which is probably the worst deal they ever got besides Epic.
Maybe for the minority of Ganker mustards.
Where the frick is it?
>True ending is DLC again.
Can't believe you people keep letting this happen to you.
>FF15
>SoP
>WOFF
>Now 16.
The DLC takes place before the end of the game because Clive is dead.
He is talking about the interview released today. After getting Leviathan, the new DLC director said Clive's fate might change.
>After getting Leviathan, the new DLC director said Clive's fate might change.
I don't care what gays say, I fricking love Clive and I hope it's genuinely a wholesome ending
Were the frick is the dlc
The locales in the DLC are pretty cool hope whatever game they work on in the future keeps this sorts aesthetic I like it alot. Maybe more high fantasy in the next as I love XIV more from a raw aesthetic standpoint and I like the dashes of it in this game.
anything away from the drab medieval setting they had with 16, and with magic incorporated in the world please
so we finally get to see what that big frozen wave in the distance is all about
makes sense since they had a npc noting it in the fields
dlc 1 will probably be entered through that door in the path towards phoenix gate
very much planned dlc
not so much planned just restoring cut content so they could make their release date
not that they feel any shame for then charging you for restoring the content
This is clearly not cut content since it has nothing to do with the main story and is squeezed in right before the final boss where it doesn't actually make any sense storywise.
no it was clearly cut dude
it doesn't fit in very well because a lot would have changed from the time it was cut from the full release to when the story was finalised. what is was originally intended to be may have also changed a bunch too but it was born from cut content
it is clearly cut contents because its leviathan which the January leak confirmed is cut content turned dlc
the wave seen from the sanbreque shores wouldn't even exist if it wasn't planned to be used for dlc
Planned DLC is not the same as cut content dumbass. Most DLC is planned, and then either developed or not depending on sales.
You can see the wave from Sanbreque. It’s literally just leviathan’s head.
They would have literally made more money if they released this shit on PS5/Xbox/PC day one instead of taking the Sony exclusive money.
They would have made another $60 out of me if they made a full blown Jill dlc where her character was more than “i love clive lol”
>xbox
>day one(and not GP)
Waste of money, might not even get back the cost of porting it. PC would have made them a lot more for sure though.
>Something of the something and that thing
May as well ask chatgpt to come up with a name
OH NO NO NO ELDEN RING BROS, WHAT DO WE DO???
Is XVI the most forgotten AAA release of 2023?
Not even close.
that was Octopath 2
>Octopath
>AAA
There was that EA game, something of Avernum?
>There was that EA game, something of Avernum?
you're right, that was a real and total flop lmao
It literally won an award for best Score tonight, with Ben Starr winning the UK equivalent of the TGA's in the UK last month along with Soken best Score and pic related.
And before anybody says “UK doesn’t count”, reminder that this board constantly cites UK physical sales for shitposting.
Sale gays are one of the most annoying posters and I wish they all would get 30 day bans
yes
Not forgotten, but didn't the culture shock it should've had. Basically, people witnessed the biggest wet fart.
>Azys Lla leitmotif in the trailer
God fricking dammit
Excited for the next COPE-ROPE cycle KINO
I am waiting for PC to replay this and the DLC. The framerate being wonky even on performance mode is really lame.
Can this game be whipped into shape and turn into a great game in time for the pc version?
Any minute now.
IT'S UP
will this have a sequel bait ending teaser?
>Jill, Mid, and Zombie Benedikta form an idol group in FFXVI-2
WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
I bet the next DLC will. And by bet I mean I really fricking hope so
Whoa only $10. Not bad at all. Must be small
>all xv story is in base game
>dlc are self contained side stories from completely different pov to base game
ardyns motivated is literally in base game told to you by ardyn, by Bahamut, by talcott and ignis
You're media illiterate
ardyn only got a dlc because he was so beloved from base game people wanted more of him
the ending of the game is the ending in base game
a non canon alternate timeline being cancelled has nothing to do with the story at all and wasn't even written by the writers who wrote ffxv itself
meanwhile ff16 is unfinished because it has
no party
no dungeons
no cities to explore
no rpg systems
no status effects
no weapon variety
no enemy variety
no minigames
no explanation for anything regarding leviathan which the main villain requires to fulfill its plan
no explanation for barnabass backstory ir dions
no explanation for anything in the 13 year timeskip
no explanation why Joshua's didn't try to free clive from slavery despite knowing where he was
no way of knowing Joshua was in a coma for 5 years without reading the Japanese only ff16 ultimania that released 3 months after the game
no explanation for ff16s ending
xv was profitable day one
ff16 still isn't profitable
>Barry replying to Larry's mass deleted posts
holy KEK
Since this thread is probably fricked already, who's Larry?
That chick with the panyhose from Persona 4.
another iteration of kh-kun/dreamboun/whatever thing barry and co wanna try to pin the people telling them to frick off on
I haven't kept up with barry lore, but dreamboun was just some random dude on twitter barry thought was stalking him right?
Yes
yes and there's nathan and some other guy too. i think "larry" is specifically from the kids trying to ride on barry's tailcoats with XVI for whatever moronic reason. you see they chose larry, because it sounds like barry.
Barry has a whole list of those - every time some rando sends him into a meltdown, he starts thinking everyone is that person for a while. He still can't conceive of just how many people hate his guts.
save this nonsense for your diary, barry isn't going to notice you
yep.
his current enemy is hkmoron (me) because a twitter zoomer is bullying him about looking up troony porn.
barry won
barry joined the thread because the other one got deleted
well it was fun while it lasted

shan't be clicking your sus link, yoshit lost
Completely forgot about this but Ben Starr was fricking ROBBED tonight. By a goddamn side character
I'm genuinely surprised that Astarion got the nod over Gale in terms of BG3 nominations.
Frankly both Karlach and the narrator were better and I say that despite hating Karlach's character
yea that was mind-boggling. If anyone deserved best VA this year it was him
>his face when
shit was hilarious
I don't even like Astarion but listening to him talk is a joy
>his face when
Sad. Talented people like him really need to stop worshipping these awards. Its really unfortunate. You’re arguably the best ff English dub main protag voice actor ever, and you’re upset about this fricking clown show dorito pope award ceremony? Come on dude
I haven't played with astarion but is he really that good? He's just one party member isn't he?
>He's just one party member isn't he?
yea but he's the gayest, most flamboyant member of your party. And his voice is admittedly pretty great
The sheer range of Astarion is what put him over. Clive as a character just wasn't written with that much emotional range. Ben did at the very least deserve to be nominated however.
blame the horrible writing, bens performance can't save the shitshow characterization of clive
>seething rage at Hugo
>tenderness for Jill
>tearful sorrow and self hating over Joshua
>dry humour
He had loads of range, he just didn't get points for being a flamboyant homosexual
Just about sums it up
This is the reality and anyone who disagrees is moronic. As soon as I saw the Astarion VA fairy dance up to the stage with his gay accent I understood why they didn't give it to a straight white Chad playing a straight white Chad in his game
>all sounds the same
Yeah, Clive has no range.
(You)
The reason Astarion blew everyone else out of the water is because Larian built the story around its characters, not separate from them.
Ben *might* have been able to pull something off, but the writing didn't allow for it.
what are you even talking about, Clive's development and relationships underpins the entire narrative of XVI
And to think, I was actually gonna finish reading your post too
Horrible bait
Genuinely feel like I must have missed the mark on something in BG3 because it feels like the most bland, generic, milquetoast story being told for each of it's characters and nothing really incredible or profound is happening. The delivery from actors ranges from okay to excellent, but I really don't think the writing of BG3 is one of it's strongest parts.
same, feels like people are talking about a completely different game from what I played
It's not a projection. Some people focus more on gameplay when they play RPGs, and there's nothing wrong with doing that. If you couldn't see the massive amount of detail devoted to characters, their development and interactions with the world, you probably didn't care that much. I find it hard to believe you've paid attention to Astarion in any capacity since most people, especially on this board, call Astarion a homosexual, kill him or focus on the female characters.
pathetic response
>No argument
Typical
he explicitly said writing is something he looks for in games and listed various aspects of it he enjoyed in the game and you once again projected with "some people focus more on gameplay that's ok sweetie" and dodged his challenge to provide examples of excellent writing you think he missed. you aren't worth the time of day
Telling me how I engaged with the game when you don't know the first thing about me just because I dared to question the quality of the games writing is still bizarre, and again, please enlightment me on these massive details I missed that you found so profound that they changed your view of the games narrative. I just finished up Astarions quest last night, and while Neil's performance was great, it still wasn't particularly amazing narratively, and I would say Cazador was actually a let down in pretty much every category from appearance to actions compared to how much he'd been built up over the course of the game.
I agree.
The game itself is great but I don't think the story is what makes it good.
Enfranchisement is a hell of a drug, and unfortunately people don't care for excellence in writing anymore, as long as it's serviceable and hits the right beats then enfranchised drones lap it up
There wouldn't be a story in FFXVI if there was no Clive, don't talk about something you clearly haven't played.
There wouldn't be a story if there was no Ultima, the creator of Valisthea itself. What is your point?
He is so ugly, he looks like those older men that care about their looks so much they got plastic surgery and he is the best looking one of the bunch
See here
I agree with this. The appeal of le funny gay British man to normies is insane.
BG3 is still a mystery to me on how so many people played it, the way it exploded.
Now you know how obnoxious BG3 gays are.
To be fair Astarion was really good too
>Niel Newborn won
Clive lost to Nyx
who
one of the manly protags of XV universe
i didn't see that character in the game
he's hanging out with the female main character
oh the random corpse from the last room in the game lmao
newbon mocapped dion and cid too
he literally didn't even voice him.
>NOOOOOO, WHY DID GENERIC FINAL FANTASY PROTAGONIST MAIN LINE 16 WITH POOR WRITING LOSE TO THE CHARACTER WOMEN HAVE BEEN SIMPING OVER FOR 3 YEARS.
Jeez anon, idk
To be fair BG3 poll was much wider, if FF16 was on more consoles then maybe.
I still think Ben was a complete try-hard the more Clive got older. He was at his best as 15-year-old Clive and 33 was the cringest.
He was also 15 year old Clive? I thought it was a different actor. That's pretty impressive
Pikmin 4 took home more awards than XVI, what a time to be alive
This’ll probably update with the patch notes at 4am. Good night friends
https://www.square-enix-games.com/en_US/documents/update-final-fantasy-xvi
He also doesn't look like an alien, he looks like a human with weird eyes.
but how do they just find new lands if they're already inhabitants of the planet?
that's what's bugging me the most
Does Ultima strike you as someone who would care about exploring the world out of curiosity?
They probably all sat around on their continent being boring and doing nothing until they were forced to flee.
i mean, they sent a satellite to space and mastered space time magic and progressed to even greater heights technologically than anyone else
i'd alays imagined them as a species who wants control which equals as knowledge of everything and that includes their star
>i mean, they sent a satellite to space
This is also fanfiction, although more plausible since the small red moon is artificial in both FF4 and FF14.
>can anyone explain to me why they decided to make the alien looking villains not aliens??
I will never understand this, so ask yoshi-p.
"Made in the image of God" it's a religious trope. God sees himself as perfect, creates man in his image. Ultima is from a different planet, his old planet was completely destroyed. They traveled from their planet to Valisthea.
but ultima is not from a different planet, that's the problem
Isn’t Ultima the progenitors of that planet? They created humans for the mother crystals or something.
Ultima is from the same planet. The game literally spells it out in lore texts and makes ZERO indications that he is from space.
People just apparently can't read.
>Ultima's people shed their bodies to fly 2 miles to the next continent.
You are fricking stupid, have a nice day.
Literally clarified and confirmed by the devs to be the case you dumbfrick autist. Facts don't care about your fanfiction.
Imagine calling people with common sense, moronic, and defended backwards writing.
>here's this godlike race of beings that are every Eikon combined
>they could travel around the planet
>but they had to shed their bodies to get to another part of the planet
Why even bother replying when you haven't posted a single logical statement and just blindly defend the game.
I am not defending the game, moron, and you do not have common sense.
The only thing I have done is tell you that your fanfiction is wrong according to both the in-game lore and the devs, triggering an autistic meltdown from you.
Didn't they shed their bodies so they wouldn't get crystal cancer
Ultima will always be an alien from another planet in my eyes. It's clearly how the narrative of the game is designed.
>Me laughing at FF16cucks and Engagewhales
Any date for the PC port?
>geoff thanked nomura by name but not Yoshi-P
oh no no no
Who the frick gives a frick who this homosexual thanks
Based Geoff
Cringe coping loser

And 11 years later, he’s still the same soulless shill. Anyone who gives a frick about his stupid award show aside from just the trailers and announcements should reevaluate themselves
just last year he was pretending to be excited for AC6 when he used to shit on those games lmao
seethe more
barry, geoff, and nomura linked up, need it keep it
geoff only likes kojima
he thinks of all japs in relation to him
if only we could replace yoshit with hideo
>get even more western pandering in FF
you must be huffing yoshit like it's jenkem. geoff thanked nomura not yoshit, it's over
I didn't read the other autism above, all I'm saying is is that Kojima is just a hack that the industry sucks off enough people feel okay liking him
Final Fantasy wouldn't be any better off under his direction
who do you consider a good game dev?
Yasumi Matsuno
mogged by mgs2
kkkkuhope
hideo is humble and gracious, he knows what he achieved with mgs2 and is comfortable gassing his peers up
Yeah whatever you say dawg
>hideo is humble and gracious,
>back when matsuno had soul
it was all over for him after 12
Well yeah that's what happens when you functionally quit the industry and get blacklisted by one of the biggest companies (at the time) in Japan
I would take Yoshida "play other games" Naoki over Kojima "Mario and Princess beach" Hideo any day of the week
2 dlc's before a new sales figure is bad news, SE desperately wants a sales boost before posting the sales totals
Who gives a shit about sales aslong as it doesnt outright die, you own stock in them?
SE seems to care a great deal or they would've told us the totals by now.
they have to release some financial news during this week
so i am correct, the dlc announcement is a desperate ploy
Thanks, FFXVIgays. Barry's so focused on Yoshitpiss, Rebirth threads are great.
He will now come to the FF7R threads
Rebirth looks great, I am happy Cid is in.
We have him in fire emblem now please take him
Why did his autism turn to fire emblem?
I guess because of Pikmin 4 winning above FE? Barry seems a massive pikmingay
Would explain the weird pikmin 4 vs XVI shitposts I saw. I didn't watch the show, but what award pitted FE against pikmin?
They were both nominated for strategy game, pikmin was also nominated against wonder and lost but that was in the pre-show
Strategy one
Max was pumped up to see pikmin get the big win. He said "ok pikmin, I see you". It was an electric Max Moment
This, FF7R threads were a fricking nightmare, can't imagine Rebirth threads if FF16 didn't exist
The Zelink cant keep up with ff16 and dd2 kek
I’m gonna have to take at least 2 weeks off of Ganker when Rebirth comes out. It’s gonna be hell. Honestly, I don’t need the headache.
So is anybody playing it yet? The trailer looked good, and the 1st dlc is only $10. Want to know if it's worth dishing out asap
I have to reinstall the game which I not really interested in doing right now
it's downloading now, I'll probably check it out over the weekend
WHERE'S THE PC RELEASE YOSHI
Spring 2024, it's probably coming out the same time the second DLC drops.
same release window as metaphor reschizo
>same release window as metaphor
Pretty sure that’s coming out in fall
you're right. i'm in southern hemisphere so i got them mixed up
What you guys think of the new song in the hideaway?
?si=Tb8kgAUmIMkGbkVT
>They actually made more of this shit
Their fricking stock is in freefall
I wonder why?
>mobile games dying left and right
Must be the console games clearly
Out of touch leadership tends to bleed into everything related to a company.
Shocker.
>criticize FFXVI
>NUH UH BAIT
And you wonder why your flop series failed.
Criticism isnt bait, making up things is
>3 mil sold units
>on a console that sold 43 million units
Why the frick are they bothering with DLC?
Better excuse to sell the complete edition at full price on pc
Is FF16 worth it? Genuine question. It somehow looks fantastical yet grossly unimaginative at the same time.
Play the demo
No.
high highs with long dredges of mid
try the demo it is why it's there
It's a very good pump and dump kind of game. A lot of great "woah" moments but zero replay value. Play the demo.
play demo stop asking dumb questions for (you)s
I'd say yes, I think the eikon boss fights are really cool and imaginative. As other anons have mentioned, play the demo and see for yourself.
It's worth 30 bucks at most. If you paid 70$ you got scammed.
Sigh.
I dropped a full Benjamin for the deluxe edition
The demo is good, but that's pretty much the peak of the game. The combat really doesn't get any more complex aside from you simply getting more abilities and the enemy variety is absolutely terrible.
>continues to ad hominem and have no evidence or references to the game
Just paid shills at this point. Ignore them.
Why are people surprised FF16 was a commercial failure? They didn't even try to keep DFFOO alive with 16's cast in an attempt to keep interest in it longer.
i fricking hated how often the main cast was absent or just knocked out in the clinic
Sssh don't mention those parts of the game, you'll get called bait.
They can't even use a different font?
Well, this was actually a comfy thread before the usual autists came in
>talking about FF here
>ever
It’s been like this for close to a decade.
>surprise announcement of a XVI dlc
>crowd sleeps
Further proof that nobody cares about this slop
?
New art just dropped
Toilet material
I’m glad they’re doing something with that frickhuge spire in rosaria. Always caught my attention during the game.
i mean, the spire wouldn't be there if they weren't gonna use it
yup, rosalith castle is right there
that random door was just a tease for planned dlc
Damn that’s cool
Looks very cool. Can I play as Jill and Joshua?
lmao
Let me hope.
no but you'll probably have to do the side quests that unlock them as party members at the end of the game before you can do this
New Key Art
So are both dlcs already out or what
The first one. Second in spring.
Huge if true
>ECHOES of the FALLEN
Sums up the current state of SE very well
Idk how accurate it is because Google Translate, but theres a boss rush mode mentioned in the Famitsu article on the DLCs
https://s.famitsu.com/news/202312/08325585.html
It should have been in the base game. For an action game its game mode selection was really awful.
Did they really have to drop this dlc at the point of the game when a thousand sidequests appears all at once?
they could've had it take place after getting shiva, since the group returns to the hideaway for no reason to "regroup"
it'd be weird to throw this games Omega superboss that early in the game
Are dlcs just Clive playable again?
No cid, jill or any other character?
lol nope. It was even confirmed in an interview a few days ago that the DLCs would be focused on "Clive and his darkness."
After the ending it all just feels inconsequential…
Man, what a wasted opportunity.
>Echoes of the Fallen
>Echoes of the Fallen Barry
Shots fired at barry, yoshit is in attack mode now
Does the game look as washed in greys as that trailer, or is S-E incompetent at handling color profiles when recording footage? It reminds me of the days of early LCD displays that had atrocious black levels.
Have you ever seen how washed out XIV's colors are? Same devs. Everything is washed out and gray.
Been saying it for nearly a decade, anyone who thinks XIV is using a shitty monitor, probably some gaymer shit. XIV (and XVI) looks good on a properly calibrated monitor.
There's a reason why GShade was as popular as it was. Its specifically because the colors are so washed out.
16-2 where the whole game is Jill!!
They said in the interview that 16-2 ain't happening.
Allow me to dream please
Second room or something.
How many gays will this one have?
i wish Dion was in the dlc to be honest, he was great.
The best part wasn't the kiss, is how Dion's thumb is gently grazing Terence's hair and how he is melting at his touch
Didn't this game flop hard?
>Has daily threads on Ganker that reach bump cap
It flopped in your mind bro.
*echoes of the fallen whistle into the void*
Yup. This is another cash grab by yoshitpiss and square
How's that dude still not fired?
He's still the guy in charge of saving XIV from 1.0. XVI was probably a black mark for him but not enough get him axed just yet.
yoshit made square a lot of money milking the mmo troons dry, he's earned some leway. barry and his strike team are working on it at the behest of SE upper management
If you read the article FF16 hit their sales targets. Losses came from other failures at SE
*echoes of the fallen screech into the still night air*
>If you read the article
Which you didn't.
>Losses came from other failures at SE
SE specifically stated XVI's dev. and advertising costs as the reason.
work on your reading comprehension sweetheart
You don't need to project kiddo.
oh look a newbie who hasn't read THE article
Enough to break even at the least, but not large enough to over shadow some of square enix's previous failures like avengers, which is why it was described as meeting expectations but not high end expectations, or something like that,
It did fine and people dont give a frick about sales to talk about a game.
ZODIARK TRANCE
>ffxv had multiple playable characters
>ffvii remake has multiple playable characters
>ffxvi is just clive
Why
XV had multiple playable DLC characters
release just had noctis
Well yeah, why can’t xvi get a similar treatment? I love Clive, but his story is over. I played as him for over 50 hours and I had a blast. I want something else now
because shut up
That’s not a good enough reason.
FF16 actually had more playable characters on release than FF14. You do play as Joshua on two occasions in FF16.
*than FF15
>its XIV but singleplayer!
pass
So how long is it, an hour or two like other chapters?
EotF is 3-4 hours according to the article. Leviathan DLC is 10 hours since it's a full new field, new bosses, new eikon fight, new eikonic abilities, etc.
Maybe if the investors all just read the article it would shoot right back up.
The investors know the power of "PR activities and other corporate initiatives", trust the plan
You're probably too poor to understand how investing and public corporations work. SE saying they've suffered huge losses outside of FF16 will still cause investors to sell
*echoes of the fallen are of no comfort to the dead*
If I remember correctly, it was everything outside of 16 and pixel remaster that was suffering. Their mobile profits were down, the mmo was losing subs because it was between expansions, and they even had loans they were paying back so any profit they were making was lowered. I'm still amazed square fricked up a final fantasy gacha, that should be one of the easiest money makers
Ever Crisis came out and has been doing very well, yet it's still barely ticked up since the huge fall it had back in August.
Rebirth threads really aren't that much better but they don't have people in them 24/7 like at Remake launch.
>Rebirth threads really aren't that much better
Well I guess 16 failed at it's job and is a complete flop. Seriously though, if that's true, then I sadly imagine that the cancer will spread to rebirth threads when that launches and make them closer to remake threads. I guess there really isn't much to shitpost about when you only have trailers, or it's just easier to shitpost about a released game. I was hoping to finally get around to playing remake so I can play rebirth at launch, but if this is the kind of threads I can expect, I guess there's no hurry
How is 16 a flop?
I was pretending to be a shitposter and making a joke, but I should have made it more exaggerated
do you see how obsessed the yoshitters actually are now? they are so rabid in their defense of 16 that they begin slobbering at the first hint of criticism. it probably didn't even read your post beyond the first sentence
Anon please, every single SE/FF thread on Ganker has been shit up by Barry and his imitators non-stop for the past 3 years.
Yea he needs to be banned already
He constantly gets banned, he 's been ban evading for 10 years and the mods can't do shit about it.
We're doomed. What causes such behaviour anyway.
The working theory is narcissistic personality disorder with a obsessive-compulsive component.
And of course him being a complete NEET who is on Ganker and Twitter 18/24 hours a day and has literally nothing else going in his life but defending Tabata, FFXV and Forspoken on the internet (where he's been banned everywhere else).
wow what a fricking loser
>an actual remake of ff7 with more content
I can see that doing well, but I'm surprised they never did a fire emblem heroes but with final fantasy and make it 4 homies in a row gacha game. Also now you have me intrigued, what happened in august to cause a huge fall?
blame marvel
blame pikmin
blame larian
pc release date when????
FFXVI just keeps getting better. Really looking forward to this dlc.
The least lauded Final Fantasy...
That'd be 13 with 11 right behind it
>13
+3
>11
+5
>release a dlc after 5 months
so the game was not finished
I was wondering why the first DLC was 10$. i guess it's mostly the Tower which serves as a giant dungeon. Dissappointed in no Ifrit fight though.
so dlc is literally just one tiny questline? whatever dont care, wake me up in april
oh I didnt realize theres a famitsu interview out. makes sense I'll give it a look
could not care less about some non-canon side story
>4 hours later
>15k views
OHNONONONONOSISTERS THIS IS ANOTHER FLOP
WAS BARRY RIGHT ALL ALONG?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
PLEASE BUY THE SEASON PASS FOR 15$
Only trannies care this much about validation.
I know, this is why yoship cultists care so much about youtube views and other worthless numbers like sales and square stocks
that sums up the coybois perfectly. i love how they try to hide 16 behind Rebirth by conflating 16's haters with it
Nice. I'll check it out.
Loving that Tonberry reimagining.
>FFXIV fanfest and 6.5.5 patch
>FF VII Rebirth
>FF XVI DLC
>FF XIV Dawntrail
We're eating good first half of 2024.
Frick vee
I fricking love ffxvi outside of cids daughter and the side quests. But just playing this game is so relaxing. I forgot and had become jaded due to vee but damn this game is good
Jill sucks dick since she has like 4 lines in the game but I really like the character idea and running around with Joshua torgul Jill at endgame doing more stuff is great
Have been cooking food with 8bit Away from the dlc playing on loop for awhile, so soul
