Just so long as the back has a open area to vent out of. Most people b***hing that there shit over heated have their console stuffed in a case or sitting on carpet vertically like a bunch of fricking idiots.
1) Fear of initial cost for PC build to their liking
2) Laziness
3) Convenience/Ease of setup for console
4) Fear of fricking up a build
5) Console gifted from parents (usually Christmas or Birthday, so most likely being children/teens/or younger than 21 years old)
6) Console is a gift "for their kids" (but really for them)
7) Desire to recapture the feeling they had in younger daya when they played games on their consoles. Usually ends in failure, but the effort is there.
I think this is a pretty new thing though? Cautious consumers knew about the PS5 potentially overheating too easily, but the average normalgay does not research that much and previous console gens didn't have this issue.
there's been like 5 botched pc ports this year alone? >huuurrr why anyone build pc when they frick up every port?
now do you realize how stupid your little thread is?
The core 360 model was prone to it, and every PS4 model sounds like a fricking jet engine and can overheat as well. But the PS4 seems to know its limits and shuts down before it damages itself, while the 360 melts all solder on the motherboard and causes the most common version of the RROD, which is why the core 360 had a 50%+ failure rate.
In my own experience, the PS5 runs much better than the PS4, to the point I barely even hear it unless it's installing a game off a disc or something.

They did.

Absolutely false, hence the many defective PS4 PRO due to the RAM placement change design (which was made to work mostly for the SLIM model, but then got quickly used for the PRO without taking into account the increased OC on those same RAM)
I have had multiple 10 hour sessions with not even a single crash. Sounds like people don't clean their shit or don't provide the console adequate ventilation.
It's almost like they were warned about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmggkW6usmQ
And almost like the PS4 PRO (with the same faulty design) showed exact same issue 1/2 years later after release.
So not only your PS5 will get very hot (even while sitting in the open) but you will also damage your RAM over time, with more and more demanding games (like for the PS4 PRO with GoW 2018, Tomb Raider and Death Stranding etc...)
As someone that repaired and modded some of those consoles, I'm at a point where I think Sony did that on purpose, to force user to buy a new variant every 4/5 years max.
The game gives your console aids
This is how I keep my PS5, it's too frickin huge to put anywhere else. I should be fine right?
No that's gonna overheat it

Since you can see the power cord coming out the front, that cubby probably doesn't even have an open back kek
morons like this are the ones having their PS5s overheat because of zero fricking ventilation
console-kiddies are so fricking stupid
damn dawg, you wanna burn your house down?

These are the ones I can think of.
>Can someone explain to me why you'd buy a console
ftfy

You mad?
I got this earlier today, but then again I am fricking melting in hot weather right now
I thought this sort of thing never happened to console buddies.

So two, because that's how long it's been out.
You don't go much outside I assume.
Dilate troony
It's been out for about 3-4 days in Aus/NZ moron
But how does it run on PC? Oh wait.
Final homosexualry
Ifrit immersion gaming
Don't forget to change your console oil
We've known Snoy had inadequate cooling of the VRM since launch.
If you didn't know that, you're a lazy consoomer.

It really is disgusting, I wish Sony leaders would be shot or at least regulated to give customers a good product
Blame Jim Ryan for that.
