Definitely Soulcalibur 3. Very good taste, OP.
people were mad chronicles of the sword save data would randomly get deleted, i just saw it as an opportunity to do it all over with different weapons
I could have seen this being ported to the switch, maybe even add more extra content.
OMF2097
DECISIVE BATTLE!!
That's my favorite one too.
>Do not involve yourself with that sword if you wish to live. I shall have to kill you if you continue.
The AI in this game is really cheap. This thing seriously triggered my ptsd from playing the classic Mortal Kombat games...
One of the hardest fights imo was against Olcadan right before getting to Night Terror. Olcadan was so cheap and tough, especially because you couldn't prepare for what fighting style he would use. And Night Terror was just cheap, but at least dying to him didn't make you have to redo a lot of work.
Would Olwcadan even come back?
mimic characters went extinct after SC5
I want Night Terror back.
*blocks your path*
this generic sword and board fighting style was the coolest shit just because it reused bryan fury's win animation where he just punches the shit out of you while on the ground
>just punches the shit out of you while on the ground
I loved that move making a comeback with Cassandra in 6.
>spams guard crush
get wrecked
For me, it's Tobal
Tekken 4, not because of the amount of content but the sheer quality, it's a great single player game.
redpill me on it.
ive benn having this same question, what other fighting games have cool single player modes?
TFH has the best 1/6th of a story mode ever put in a fighting game
Shame about all the other stuff
gonna be honest, i enjoyed sf6 world tour until the latter half of nayshall
the exploration was charming thought never understood those panther things' gimmick of what they were supposed to teach
the panthers are supposed to introduce you to holding blockstrings basically and get you used to blocking crossups
their hitboxes are kinda absurd and hard to contest and they have that dash through attack to make you switch block directions and a lot of stuff that beats mashing, but they have no highs or lows and the pounce is extremely punishable on block so you can just up back during their pressure until they try and do the pounce and then kill them
wolf: high/low and reaction anti airs
panther: blockstrings and crossups
snake: zoning
bear: command grabs and armor
bird: preemptive anti airs/dealing with flying c**ts
greetings from khazakstan
TFH?
Thems Fighting Herds
I liked Guilty Gear XX the story modes felt comfy and I like the guilty gear characters in general. Not too special in terms of gameplay or length though.
BlazBlue ChronoPhantastma of that's the name, the one before CF
Say goodbye to your memory cards gays
Soul Calibur II's was better. Regardless they really fricked up with SCIV's. Put me off of SC ever since.
Tekken 6 had a fun one
DBZ: Budokai 3 is my favorite
Thankfully, SCIII was the only one that got corrupted. I mean, I had beaten the singleplayer and was like halfway through the post-game bonus stages so I ate a few hours, but still I had some other shit on that card that would have made put my head through my desk if it got fricked up.
Agreed, SC3's single player was excellent. SC6's attempt to recreate it wasn't half as good. Also Zazalamel and Tira were excellent additions and no characters added since have eclipsed/matched them.
i thought GBVS had amazing single player content. I liked building the GRID and doing the boss fights.
Soul Calibur 2's single player is far better. SC3 suffers too much from Mortal Kombat A.I., lacks too many traditional fighting game modes, and has too many RPG elements affecting combat.
