>bosses can be beaten by changing your party composition and offensive/defensive strategy
>no grinding needed to beat challenging bosses
>fast as frick and feels tense
Why is Final Fantasy V so fricking good? Did you buy any remasters?
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
>buy any remasters
Lmao
Did you pirate/play any remasters--I don't give a frick, let's talk about video games.
maybe the most overrated Ganker game. you never need to change your party comp if you have an iq above 20 because 2 attackers and 1 healer and 1 magic attacker is all you need the entire game until it just becomes mime spam.
>he plays with white mage
It becomes a different game when you use Summoner as your healer.
That's cute, but it's been surpassed by a game with actual gameplay.
no one cares about your literal who trash dude
>no one cares about your literal who tr-ACK!
I'll just let the numbers speak for themselves.
>pixelshit
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T HAVE PIXELS IN A VIDEOGAME
Just admit that your beloved FF which had all of Squaresoft's best pouring their souls into it is obsolete and got BTFO handily by one (1) developer in his spare time. Ball's in Square's court now, but we all know they're incapable of answering.
>Ball's in squares court
The ball owns a place called Squares Court?
I just started playing this and it's pretty cool. Really struggling with having a functioning team while testing out classes though, but that's a good problem
I really wanted to like this game, but it just didn't connect for me. Luckily was under 2 hours so was able to refund it on Steam.
>Did you buy any remasters?
No. Why would I? Just emulate the originals. Look and sound better in every way.
>Did you buy any remasters?
Pixel Remasters are the best way to play these games (possibly an exception for FF4 for the DS version, but that's more a remake than a remaster with an altered scenario and mechanics).
I don't care if a couple hipsters want to pretend an older version is better. Not really the case here.
Pixel Remasters look like shit. Game was not made for screens that wide + font doesn't match + boxes in battles are horribly sized and spaced (thanks to wide screen) + cut content from other versions + paying for shit that's been out for decades
Quality is high enough to where I was fine with buying it.
Oink oink
gesundheit
>Game was not made for screens that wide
what?
>font doesn't match
fixed, also can be modded to any font
>boxes in battles are horribly sized and spaced
also fixed
>cut content from other versions
it's meant to represent the original versions, not the shit addons from subsequent versions (they were fricking garbage and not worth adding dont kid yourself. literally no one likes the extra gba content or after years)
4:3 vs 16:9 ratio, these games were never designed in mind for widescreen displays, they look stupid this way. Look at how much dead space is in the OP image compared to this one
It's a complete aesthetics issue. And if it was about representing the original, then like the same anon quoted above said, why not just play the original?
anyone have any good shaders to use with the pixel remasters?
Why not just emulate the actual games?
>muh heckin' cheevorinos
I like the new music
It's super fun, challenging and tense. I just hate all story cut scenes. I wish I could play it through skipping them all. I just want to play and grind and level up.
The ten minute escape from the fire castle is frickin bullshit and I hate it
5 is the best FF but Ganker is too busy jerking off to sephiroth x aeris to play any videogame.
>bosses can be beaten by changing your party composition and offensive/defensive strategy
>no grinding needed to beat challenging bosses
That goes for every JRPG past the NES era, only morons need to grind. Hell, only morons need to fight random battles at all.
