Final Fantasy 15: one of the best openworld games I've played

And also, FFXV is in my Top3 of the best Final Fantasy games.
(after that I've finished all the mainline games, and a lot of spin-off games)

I've found the whole experience of Final Fantasy XV pretty amazing, probably thanks to the multimedia narrative approach of this story, with the mini anime Brotherhood Final Fantasy 15, and Kingsglaive Final Fantasy 15.
This kind of approach requires a little bit of patience for understanding the whole pictures of the events, but when you see the whole thing coming together, you found out a really epic, and worth it, Lore to explore.

The things that I've loved most are:

>The roadtrip/brotherhood them of the game
>the main 4 characters
>the amazing and charismatic Villain, Ardyn
>the fun and enjoyable action gameplay
>the wonderful openworld
>the great dungeons design to explore
>the Chocobos
>the monsters and the Summons design
>the Godtier OST
>the minigames, especially the fishing with Noctis
>the Lore
>and the Ending

A truly unique and amazing experience, that I can safely recommend to anyone who's looking for a cool action jrpg game, or for simply enjoying a comfy openworld game.
And especially if you link with the Chocobros, and the roadtrip theme of the game, you're gonna love it.

Idk why people hated it so much. It was comfy as frick. Primary plot wasn't mind blowing but it did the job and kept me entertained. But the secret ending changed that to a fantastic plot and the cgi movie they released was fricking incredible. Made me actually care and feel like part of the world. (I admit part of that was political in that the idea of the nation's continued existence was a function of the king's will).

It didn't really make sense how all of nilfgusrd died out without anyone noticing. And while the autonomous companions were good, main combat was either nuke em with magic or repetitive. That's all I can really think of that was negative.

Car and road trip theme was innovative and great. Music was superb as always. Almost didn't want to get to final chapter cause I know the happy bits in the beginning are going to be out of context and once you know the true plot they are tragedies; and the music is always so damn good it sets emotional sensitivity teenager levels.

What made the game a "failure"? I wouldn't have thought so but there's loads of butt hurt and the studio canceled further expansions so they must think so too

These are some of the high qualities of Final Fantasy 15

While my first instinct to to laugh at each bullet point that you presented, I largely can't. Only combat, open world design, and lore are the points that I take issue with. That said, combat is a stickler. Also, I noticed that you did not try to claim that the dogshit quest system was good. I don't hate the game like I thought I would (maybe because I went in with no expectations after XIII ruined the series for me). However, there is absolutely no cohesion. Parts of the game are either good or enjoyable in their own fashion, but these parts do not even remotely connect. The fractured nature of the game keeps it staunchly mediocre at best. The game is an unfortunate example of lesser than the sums of its parts. I have never touched the DLC, but I doubt it would change that for me.

Nice. I like reading people defend less popular games. Especially because you gave actual reasons. I'm mailing you a trophy.

    >Luna Freya (character death why?)
yeah 15 is horrendous. Shit the bed real hard with these sequences.

It's among the worst action gameplay I've experienced by far, like, genuinely unbelievable how shallow and mindless that shit was. The boys were great though and the graphics get a chefs kiss, the story is just meh. Kingsglaive showed us the true scope of what they were hoping to achieve with XVs world building and it's depressing knowing development hell likely robbed us of what could've been the best modern final fantasy.

Final Fantasy 15 is one of the best Final Fantasy games I've ever played in my whole life. And I've played every single mainline game of the series.

FFXV characters are so cool and really well crafted with their personalities and their favorite hobbies.
The gameplay is really cool and the whole story is very great, when you see all the pictures of the Lore. And with the most charismatic villain made for the franchise. Ardyn

Easily the most underrated Final Fantasy game today

Honestly I can't hate FFXV. It's like 40% complete and honestly I really like what's there. It's not an amazing or great package. But it's fun enough to one and done and I can't help but wonder how it would be if it was made the completion.
