God, I just HATE how Tifa looks in these fricking remakes. Lifeless porcelain doll, lanky and moronic clothes. There's nothing about her that indicates she specializes in melee fighting.
I don't mind it at all. Genuinely never understood the hate. I agree that the faces on a lot of the female characters do look strange at times though.
FF7R suffers slightly from same face syndrome, but I can look at Jessie, Scarlett, Yuffie, etc and sense their identities were nicely fleshed out. Tifa just puts me off completely, like in
, she constantly has this meek look about her with her droopy eyes that makes her look weak or a moronic version Anri Okita at best. She doesn't have any strong features about her.
Her Dissidia version is not even much different in terms of her body frame and shape of the head, but somehow manages to be a million times more convincing.

I thought I was going to leave Ganker long before spoilers appeared so that I could avoid them. I have been looking forward to this game for years, after all. I would warn others to preorder it or pick it up on day one to play it before being spoiled. I told anyone waiting for the PC release to buy a PS5 so they can play without being spoiled. And here I am getting spoiled because I can't stop myself coming here to ensure the 50-60 people who come to these threads are posting about it positively and anyone being negative gets stomped immediately. I really fricked it up for myself, but I like to think it's for the greater good. With any luck my efforts pay off and it helps the game be a little more successful and received positively.

Back when remake part 1 dropped I posted success stories about its sales constantly. I must have posted hundreds of times about how SEs financial reports confirmed it was a success, I repeatedly showed how they boasted about how many copies they shipped, what a success it was despite covid, etc.
Ever since SoP I have decided sales arguments don't matter. I have done a 180 and now spend a lot of time making it clear to others that nobody should care about the numbers anymore.
Rebirth's sales will probably be even better than Remake's since Ganker is the only place you see hate on it.

Sephiroth being part of the lifestream learns of the future and begins to plot against its natural flow. That's why he makes you fight the harbinger of fate and a parallel reality is created as a result. It's suggested this world is like a temporary backup world in stasis. At the edge of creation Sephiroth looks at it in the distance and says "that which lies ahead does not yet exist" and that our world will become part of it one day, which hints at the merging. What his actual plan is though, no clue. But this is how I interpret the whole thing.

The issue is how i dont think anything about that other world looks like a plan of the planet. But just an accident. This is sephiroth's plan. The truth is that everything there could be just copies from our version of the world, that would explain why kirye and other characters are there.
Technically speaking, we already know it is a copy of our world on account of the tornado in Chapter 18 of Remake not destroying anything but making COPIES of it, and all that begins before Sephiroth absorbs the whispers so I'd wager, if anything, that that entire alternate version of the world is indeed a "safeguard" the planet created should the reality the party is in cease to exist.

Funny thing, and it's 99% just me being a schizo myself, but I SWEAR in the second to last trailer they released, the 1 minute long one, when there is a closeup on Cloud's eyes and they tighten up (I assume it's when Jenova shows up in the ship to Costa), I SWEAR they edited something in his eyes, if you look at them frame by frame something is SLIGHTLY off about them and I am fully convinced they edited out how his eyes become like Sephiroth's for an instant there. I can't wait to see the scene to figure out if I need to cut down on the drugs or not.

Then Cloud summoned Alexander and that was that.

Cat Shit I've started to have more in my party (because i haven't really used him ever) recently, and Aerith only for her healing limitbreak on really hard boss battles, or for leveling up materia because she has so many slots early on.
