In general it is interesting to look the way Aerith sees Tifa and Cloud's relationship. Because a constant theme is how Aerith never had friends, she even says it herself in that nibel scene, and she gets sad over it, so every time she talks about how he should cherish Tifa people directly go to shipping shit. When it is a lot more interesting when we see that Cloud and Aerith both had lonely childhoods.

No, Cloud is basically the opposite stereotype of the "gentle giant". You know, one of those "unassuming silent loners" you'd least suspect to be a school shooter. He generates ATB like ton since its 2 characters hitting. When I am on something, I don't use left stick cause its what controls the Moogle. You might be interrupting its attacks by moving it. Fortune Teller for big crits, dump some stuff into Roll of the Dice, Moogle Kaboom for shits. Moogle Knuckle to help build stagger.

Red, but it might be a skill issue. When I play him, just building the gauge up feels like I am waiting for enemies to do something and the moment I want to do something they hit. The AI though? The AI will perfect block all enemy attacks and generate the bar so fricking quick. Its better to not play him early in a fight then use the gauge and go hard then swap to someone else so the AI can rebuild it

If she didn’t have that single gondola kiss she would have had literally nothing this game. The main story is almost nothing but Cloud and Aerith holding hands. Aerith literally even steals Tifa’s water tower moment with Cloud intentionally sitting in the same spot he originally did
No kiss or I love you seals it that she will be revived. Aerith in a coma will wake up in the next game and finally confess her love for Cloud. Her saying bye to Cloud as the plane left was too optimistic of her and she was even joking with Cloud. She knows she’ll see him again soon

There’s a split in the default timeline. One where Aerith is saved. One where she isn’t. Sephiroth makes a big deal about the worlds converging as Cloud is trying to save Aerith

I don’t think worrying about how many timelines there are matters. Cloud, Zack and Aerith retain memories in all timelines. Therefore there’s probably just one very of them bouncing between worlds and bodies. Cloud was able to bring his body from Zacks timeline into the main timeline since he had the white materia. Zack clearly hopped from timeline to timeline and retained his memories.
I think it’s very convenient that all the other party members are dead in Zacks timeline and that Cloud was able to highjack that body and take it back with him. Who does that leave...Zack and Aerith. Two characters that should be dead but have the ability to bring their physics bodies and mind between alternate timelines. This will matter in the next game because Zack himself said he knows his timeline will converge with Cloud’s again.
When you finish the game, it puts you in the menu, with chapter selection available, and you can't close it. You need to choose a specific chapter, but you can retain quest completion data so just main story stuff. It puts you at the beginning of the chosen chapter though, so you still get Aerith (but I'd imagine the party isn't unlocked and is still story relevant).
Aside from that, it's gilgamesh stuff, more arena fights (challenge in hard mode with sephi and zack) and hard difficulty. Maybe some other stuff, but that's the gist of it.

To turn Cloud against the others. The more he converges timelines the crazier Cloud gets and won’t believe anything is real. Sephiroth knows he’ll never beat Cloud directly so he’s using Cloud as a puppet.

What if...both Aerith and Tifa are canon with Cloud. I mean it’s pretty fricking canon that Cloud and Aerith love each other at the end of Rebirth. But it’s also canon in the OG that Cloud and Tifa end up together. Thanks to shifting timelines it’s canon for both. And maybe there’s an outcome where it’s a harem.
I think the games and side media make it pretty clear that both like Cloud and Cloud likes both. Like I said, at the end of the day just go with your preference.

chocobo & moogle, space ranger, dio, archdragon, and chocobo jockey are the best cards in the game. security officer is always a good opener aswell and cards that can replace other ally cards are god tier.

I can kind of understand being pissed at a $70 game being shit because of blatant deceptive/anticonsumer practices like Suicide Squad or Skull and Bones, for some recent examples, but this game is actually good. The narrative that they're trying to push with Rebirth though is not that they don't like they game but that it's objectively bad, which is absurd.

Tifa in particular can solo everything with the Plasma enemy skill and all her crazy atb charges
Tifa and Aerith both generate ATB slower. Aerith has a spower baseline from Remake while Tifa no longer gets a large refund from Focus Strike. Also Aerith's Arcane Ward no longer does the second cast of doublecast for 0 MP, it's just reduced MP.
Agreed, Tifa is still good just not completely broken like she was in Remake. Gonna be interesting to see how she plays in hard mode but Red and Yuffie are obviously broken even in normal mode.

The last fight with the 2 wings changing elements took so fricking long with the team I had. That, the shitty temple just before (wall boss was cool but camera was ass) and the weird revelation about the rejoining made the end too long.

110%. Cloud is able to see the timeline where shes alive. She said she was going back to continue praying to stop the meteor and after will send smoke for Cloud to come and get her. He'll surely go back for her. It also appears Zack is in their timeline now so he'll probably join the man party. Its guaranteed that Zack and Aerith will interact in the next game and I'm convinced Cloud, Zack, and Aerith will fight together for a boss fight. The others will eventually be able to see her and she'll be fully back to normal again.
Considering how she also never got Princess Guard and that there's a new timeline where Cloud managed to save her, most likely. At minimum she'll show up during the final fight in part 3.
Though i have an irking suspicion that Great Gospel will just be a cinematic move she gets last minute similar to Cloud's Omnislash in the OG

Also, makes sense now to see so many clones in nibelhiem considering hojo rebuilt it to be "treated", but its obvious that he did it to gather them in order to do the reunion
Tifa’s date pissed me off because she literally just lies to Cloud just to sabotage Aerith by making him think she still loves Zack. It’s selfish, manipulative, and petty. Meanwhile on the Aerith date, when she lies about being told about Zack, the subtext is that he doesn’t matter anymore and Cloud picks up on that.
Both of the lie in their dates, but Tifa is the one that sounds manipulative because she sells the idea that Aerith still loves Zack, while in the Aerith date the context changes a bit because Aerith already realized that Cloud is not mentally unstable so she doesnt want to talk about Zack with him.
Well, Aerith explicitly adds, “not about anything important anyway” implying that Zack isn’t important to her anymore. So it ends up coming off as a hint instead of straight up manipulation

There’s two Clouds in that timeline for some reason and the timeframes don’t match up. Zack and Cloud are from before the reactor mission and everything else is after it. That’s why Aerith already knows who he is.

So how does the lifestream part work now? Basically all the main revelations have already been shown already. We already know from the first 2 games that Cloud's not a SOLDIER, that Zack was in Nibelheim and that Cloud/Tifa fell off the bridge and that Cloud copped the blame. Fortune Teller for big crits, dump some stuff into Roll of the Dice, Moogle Kaboom for shits. Moogle Knuckle to help build stagger.
Red, but it might be a skill issue. When I play him, just building the gauge up feels like I am waiting for enemies to do something and the moment I want to do something they hit. The AI though? The AI will perfect block all enemy attacks and generate the bar so fricking quick. Its better to not play him early in a fight then use the gauge and go hard then swap to someone else so the AI can rebuild it

I don’t think worrying about how many timelines there are matters. Cloud, Zack and Aerith retain memories in all timelines. Therefore there’s probably just one very of them bouncing between worlds and bodies. Cloud was able to bring his body from Zacks timeline into the main timeline since he had the white materia. Zack clearly hopped from timeline to timeline and retained his memories.
I guess I'm confused if multiple Cloud's, Aerith's, or Zack's can exist in the same timeline if one gets transported to the other.
I think it’s very convenient that all the other party members are dead in Zacks timeline and that Cloud was able to highjack that body and take it back with him. Who does that leave...Zack and Aerith. Two characters that should be dead but have the ability to bring their physics bodies and mind between alternate timelines. This will matter in the next game because Zack himself said he knows his timeline will converge with Cloud’s again.

It depends on whether you do the side stuff. For me, it was 90 hours by doing everything available. I haven't touched the post game yet though.

When you finish the game, it puts you in the menu, with chapter selection available, and you can't close it. You need to choose a specific chapter, but you can retain quest completion data so just main story stuff. It puts you at the beginning of the chosen chapter though, so you still get Aerith (but I'd imagine the party isn't unlocked and is still story relevant).
Aside from that, it's gilgamesh stuff, more arena fights (challenge in hard mode with sephi and zack) and hard difficulty. Maybe some other stuff, but that's the gist of it.

They tried to limit her power by buttoning and belting her shorts, but truly Yuffie cannot be contained.
Tifa and Aerith both generate ATB slower. Aerith has a spower baseline from Remake while Tifa no longer gets a large refund from Focus Strike. Also Aerith's Arcane Ward no longer does the second cast of doublecast for 0 MP, it's just reduced MP.
Tifa and Aerith still seems like the best team though. Tifa stagger multiplier is literally mandatory for any tough enemies.

The last fight with the 2 wings changing elements took so fricking long with the team I had. That, the shitty temple just before (wall boss was cool but camera was ass) and the weird revelation about the rejoining made the end too long.

110%. Cloud is able to see the timeline where shes alive. She said she was going back to continue praying to stop the meteor and after will send smoke for Cloud to come and get her. He'll surely go back for her. It also appears Zack is in their timeline now so he'll probably join the man party. Its guaranteed that Zack and Aerith will interact in the next game and I'm convinced Cloud, Zack, and Aerith will fight together for a boss fight. The others will eventually be able to see her and she'll be fully back to normal again.
Considering how she also never got Princess Guard and that there's a new timeline where Cloud managed to save her, most likely. At minimum she'll show up during the final fight in part 3.
Though i have an irking suspicion that Great Gospel will just be a cinematic move she gets last minute similar to Cloud's Omnislash in the OG

Well, Aerith explicitly adds, “not about anything important anyway” implying that Zack isn’t important to her anymore. So it ends up coming off as a hint instead of straight up manipulation

I feel like this is just the issue of Aerith being the "intended" route, they needed to bring Zack as a topic in both dates, regardless of being strange in the Tifa date. So when Marlene tells Zack that Aerith likes Cloud things dont come up from nowhere.
What they should do from here is make it a point about how she's the one thing left from the time before her world went to shit and that she wants him all to herself. It would be a very good and realistic flaw for her to have.
Tifa was very egoistic in AC, and i think it is a good detail for her character. All the ff7 characters are fricked up in a way.

this makes me realizes all the zack timelines were basically different. Cause aerith was absolutely dead in the first one shown at the start. The one with cloud and aerith later on where zack goes to find biggs is the only one shown several times but then it diverges again when zack gets on the bike.
It is weird, sometimes it seems like one continuity but then others dont. Like the one that knows aerith loves cloud, he goes on his bike after hojo. But then the one that is with biggs seems like a different one. The one at the church is also still in doubt about which one he should save.

But the Cloud he is lugging around is the one he’s been lugging around since he escapees Nibelheim. The one on the news is clearly referring to Cloud at the end of Remake. An ex-soldier with the Buster sword. And the intro shows Aerith being taken away on the helicopter alongside Tifa and Barret, and Nanaki is there too. Clearly the events of Remake already happened where Zack is too, but their Cloud is missing.
So Zack not only travelled to a world that's conveniently a copy of the Remake one (only with the team failing against the Jannie King and their Cloud going missing), but also somehow travelled a few weeks into that world's future. How does this fit with the rules that the end of Rebirth lay out?

I think that’s what’s happening. It’s why he’s fighting Sephiroth alone because everyone else is dead but Aerith who is comatose
There’s two Clouds in that timeline for some reason and the timeframes don’t match up. Zack and Cloud are from before the reactor mission and everything else is after it. That’s why Aerith already knows who he is.

When they do the Nibelheim scene again in Part 3, will Genesis be there like he was in Crisis Core?
So how does the lifestream part work now? Basically all the main revelations have already been shown already. We already know from the first 2 games that Cloud's not a SOLDIER, that Zack was in Nibelheim and that Cloud/Tifa fell off the bridge and that Cloud copped the blame. All that's left is Cloud actually being the grunt.
I’m assuming it won’t happen. The alternate realm Aerith and Sephiroth is in is implied to already be the Lifestream so having an additional Lifestream part would be kind of confusing and redundant
Also, how aware is zack that 5 years have passed? He never gets a real explanation of it.
He knows that time has passed, but he doesnt know how Cloud met Aerith or she even started liking him. It is probably weird as frick for him.
