Just so you know, sekiro is one of my favorite games of all time, and im glad those indicators exist since the game more than once pisses you off with places you dont know you can climb if it wasnt for that white paint. But the white paint is NOT fitting. You can immediately notice it and sticks like a sore thumb.

2. firaga/thundaga/blizzaga spells stunning bosses (even though this is mentioned nowhere)

its not. When Bahamut is charging, deal a decent amount of damage and he will be pressured.
And during normal combat, you have to do an insane amount of damage to make him fall and get pressured. Thats why people use -aga spells + arcane ward to reach that

The slowdown is crucial for the system to work. You can take a second to scan and think about the next step and then take it instantly. But I agree that forcing the menu to work in real time could be a great option for a Hard mode to make it truly real time. This is already on PC with mods
If menus were to work in real time too, then scan should be an exception, or worse, it runs like a teleprompter (impossible).

Its bad because they killed the atmosphere and it was supposed to be oppressive.
But then you see that the OG midgar design made little to no sense, so in remake they tried to create midgar to actually make sense, and there are holes in the plates and all so the sun can perfectly leak. And secondly, in the OG there was never the concept of day or night (sometimes it was day like in the church or aerith house, but suddenly it was night again, and the sun leaked! lol), so in the remake they wanted it to be more consistent. Therefore, sunlight leaking makes sense and its good.

I played Remake on launch in 2020. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the full game, and I didn't find that out until I was installing the game. I didn't take it as some sort of unforgivable sin. I saw it for exactly what it was at the time. Which was part one of a trilogy of games. I enjoyed the game from start to finish, despite the padded busy work in order to stretch one screen out into 15-20 minutes of gameplay. It reminded me a lot of a Yakuza game in many ways. The sidequests were usually cute or added to the characterization in some way. The characters are always chatting about the story and bonding about what they are doing together. It's an objectively enjoyable experience for the casual fan. And that's when the Ghosts start showing up everywhere and you realize that Nomura has such massive balls, he committed an entire FF7 project to taking a fat shit all over the turbo autist fanboys who whine and piss and moan about him and his design legacy. He shit on you all and made you look like the grubby insufferable homosexuals that you are.

Sephiroth gaininy prior knowledge of his defeat sounds like it's exactly in line with his character motivations. He is undying, he will be Reborn against Cloud forever until he gets his final Reunion. Aerith gains the foresight ability from The Lifestream as a response to Sephiroth abusing the reincarnation and moving into a different timeline where he hasn't lost yet. She gifts the foresight power to Marlene because Marlene can speak to the Planet just like in Advent Children.
