Koudelka is weird because it has this really intricate stat system better suited for a 50+ hour RPG in one that takes maybe 12 hours to beat on the high side.
It also unironically has great gay representation with Joachim, Great Gama and the shopkeeper boys. There's even a sidequest where you collect erotic photos of hunks.

I hated that PS2 jrpg era of having a completely nonsense minigame for fake depth like the spinner in this or the roulette wheel in Xenosaga. It is so mindless and any amateur dev can probably think of a better mechanic. Here I'll think of one, each turn you have to play solitaire and when you finish a row you perform a critical hit. Woooo so deep.
