Starts off casting Megaflare with 5 stacks of MATK up. You got 10 seconds to cast MATK Down (high) x2 plus an addition Defaith to get his MATK down to -3 with someone else casting party MDEF up so you don’t get 1-shotted. Then the fight starts.
Does it get introduced at the EX level or something? Up to VH it just uses regular Diamond sigil.

Anyway to cheat this yet? Even just infinite health. There's no way I'm completing some of these missions until my characters can get to like level 85.
Tons of people have been using cheat engine to lower the enemy's health, but I'm not sure how easy is for applibot to detect it.
If you know a bit about programming then you can use ff7ecapi to decrypt the protobufs and see if you can find something of interest.
You will also need a proxy to capture the headers.
The basic version can send 'clicks' based on coordinates/handle name, and if you use the image recognition libraries then you can take a screenshot of the retry button and have the program search for those pixels and click on them.
I had Seph with Edged Wings and Anobi, Lucia with Bald Eagle for Ice down and also gave her Blizzard Blow, and Cloud was just spamming his IX event weapon.
A couple tricks that might help is to wait on nuking at the beginning of the fight until your Attack Gauge is at 100% so you do full damage. If you want to debuff/buff first that’s fine, but you want to spam max ATB on abilities once you’re at 100% attack gauge power.
Also what I think helped me was bringing Esuna (Fog) on Lucia to dispel the Fog debuff on Seph since it doubles magic ATB costs. That really fricks him. And last piece of advice is that during the sigil break phase I didn’t focus on breaking with sigils at all and just spent ATB nuking away instead. I figure you don’t get extra time if you break it so it doesn’t matter anyways so your best option is to spend the ATB on getting as many points as you can.
Sure, they are not as good as co-op events but do we even have an eta on the reruns?
If bahamut is the next coop event then you will miss out on 2 OB10 weapons and a good elemental summon for a month or two.

Honestly, take another look at OB10. It's good for the weapons that partner with an arcanum outfit, but even other big damage weapons like Zidane don't jump much, most support weapons give their full buff at 6 and only get extra time, and even the healer weapons get only the slightest boost. You have a weapon for real at OB1 and it's done at OB6. 5* and OB7+ are consolation prizes
I kind of like how they're traditional OG FF7 maps you can run through with random encounters, but EC's gaming experience is more like FF14 than OG FF7. Unless the content is really fun, it better be giving out rewards or its not worth doing.
I don't understand who would need a guide for this game. Every fight would just be "Use DEF up on you and DEF down on them." The only useful information would be "This is the DPS target you need to meet" and that could be a simple text post. Maybe toss in a "this is the biggest damage he does, so figure out your mitigation needs from there"
The only issue I'm having with this game is that the grinding is limited so people are encouraged to spend money. Otherwise, all this number crunching, gear upgrading and build autism is something I'm liking.
I'm really struggling to figure out my team comp for this. Do you run a character with a Diamond Sigil weapon? I feel like it wouldn't be necessary if we could turn the AI off, but going into the break phase with full bars and spamming 3ATB moves with everyone is inconsistent at best. My thought for my next attempt is >Zidane/Bandage Cloud >Kuja/Frost Sephiroth >Prime/Hornet Matt

This was my party. Took me almost 3 hours to get my rhythm and timing right.
The fight has like 5 incredibly tight windows you need to accomplish. I don't think it's possible without the Diamond Sigil. Also depending on your team comp DEF down is a must, I do double the damage with it up, making some of the timing windows possible.
The last 30 seconds of the fight is really fun, just a straight dps race where you don't have to worry about healing at all. Feels fricking great rocking the Bahamut profile icon.
Mythril Rod? I thought for sure you would want Umbrella there instead. I know that's where your PDEF comes from, but it feels really redundant with Bandaged Sword.

This is unfortunate because I don't care one way or the other about her and am actually the lone FS fan of the thread. Still, I will entertain the delusion for a while longer that we're getting more FS reps, because it's fun to me. Glenn is his own thing, but Matt has a lot of overlap with the Warrior style from the BR and Lucia the Ranger, so that means we/I can still hope to see Sorcerer, Monk, Ninja, Dragoon, Machinist, and Trickster reps
I wouldn't mind more FS characters, but their character designs are...kind of meh? I guess FS are meant to appeal to people who aren't into the FF look.

I think part of that is that the two games were originally supposed to run alongside each other. So you'd get the same events in both, but since FS didn't have a story outside of the short blurb excuses they gave for in-battle stuff lmao Whispers made copies of Cloud 30 years before he was born just to style on SOLDIER candidates, the actual details of the holidays would've been left up to EC. So when EC was delayed, FS just got stuck with random no context shit.

They literally weren't even designed as actual charcters; they were the generic trailer stand-ins for the customizable player characters in the First Soldier battle royale. I'm pretty sure they didn't even have actual names until Ever Crisis.

I would have to dig up the interview because it has been a long time, but when they were talking about how they wanted to put a story to FS they mentioned that Team Glenn was going to have an actual story running in the background and it would be relevant to the compilation. They were just kept fairly generic to demonstrate that they were just any other squad participating in this like you, but importantly weren't you.

I wouldn't consider it a small spender for a free videogame either, but that's like 3 bucks a day, many people spend more than that on their morning coffee order so it's not some unheard of level of spending broadly. Personally I feel a little gross thinking about the fact that I've dropped $75 so far as a day 1, because that's a whole other new release game that I could have bought in addition to getting exactly as much playtime out of this, but whatever I'm not giving anything else up in order to free that room in the budget or something.

It's p2w, not pay to play. f2p has a very full experience with the game and in the very worst cases is delayed in their clears of certain whale bait fights, but it is not insert coins to continue or anything.
But sincerely who the frick runs out of stamina? I've straight up let energy expire, still have legitimately 400 potions, and keep on top of current content, main team at 65. Unless you are leveling everyone to 65 and every weapon to 80, the game gives you plenty

I'm interested in the story, but I'm not under the impression that a bunch of random frogs and shit makes for a "good" story. My hope/expectation is that the story that is relevant enough to get into a wiki synopsis will be good, and we'll just have to forgive it the mobile format. I'm also more interested in the concept of a new story than a dripfed version of a game I own, that has somehow been both abridged and stuffed with filler

The timer thing to find players is tiresome
No one is properly spread out among the different tiers offered so the best way to find a fight is to either do the very easiest or very hardest difficulty
Therefore the fights are either over in 1 second or so grueling and punishing (and entirely dependent on your other teammates not being shitters) that you're better off just doing the 1 second fight
Needs to be completely revamped, co-op in this game is half-assed and half-finished
It's solid actually. A featured weapon normally has 1% rates, and a wishlisted weapon 0.8%. The special banner just makes wishlisted items 1.5%, and does not feature any other 5* at all so when you get a guarantee every 6 stamps you get something you want. If you're a day 1 player there's no real need, but if you started recently and need to hit some of the stuff that was never featured like Fairy Tail or Aonibi or whatever, it's good. I remember I pulled on the Halloween banner not because I wanted the featured, but because I was trying to OB my wishlist and get stronger, so I would have loved a banner like this then.

Yeah, it's not too bad actually. You just need to account for the status changes. He hits you with I think High MDEF down and then gets Very Very High MATK up and that gets fricky. If you can swing it to having MDEF up and give him MATK down in time, you're good to go
The "possibly scrapped" thing is bullshit, because Zack's 1st-class outfit is in there and that's kind of a huge story thing for Crisis Core to just leave out.
If those outfits have anything in common, it's being freebies, since Cloud's Shinra alt would also work as a story thing, and Yuffie's maid outright says it's an event reward.
I'm more interested in the "diner tray" one, since along with Cloud's "rider pipe" which could be his G-Bike outfit with a pipe weapon and Red's "Route 13" it sounds like we could get an event with biker gangs at a roadside diner lmao.
I'm saying in that case just... Don't give a shit about PATK. Put all your points in DEF or some shit. Give him a cura to bounce back after divebombs instead of having Tifa overheal the other 2. Something coherent with his role and equipment.

EC is doing really well and bringing in bank. The Steam release bolstered the numbers even further. Even if this is the 'peak' and it settles that's still several millions of dollars per month, pushing ahead of other gacha that have been in the industry a lot longer. And yes with FF7 remake incoming that's another huge surge in the wings. Personally though I just want it to stick around because I like it. Seems pretty solid for many years to come.

I don't have 24 stamps worth of crystals, that's for sure. I'll actually probably get the Sephiroth outfit just because I'm actually invested into him and have largely passed on Cloud stuff, which was clearly a mistake but here we are.
Cloud's is the stronger outfit both in stats and style. I don't know what the frick they're doing with Sephrioth. He's been taking L's for outfits lately.
I hate it though because until now you could choose one to invest in as your main DPS and they were just two sides of a coin. Both had an Arcanum for a summon, both had a mastery for an off element, both had an ability potency, they were just split along certain lines like MAG/PHYS. The new hotness meta being both of them and then either Matt or Glenn for the P.ATK boost means you need to have both up and filled in and I haven't exactly done many Cloud Memory missions
If you play the long game (which you should in any gacha you’re having fun with) it doesn’t matter who you invest in. In 6 months your party comp is going to be way better than it is today, so in 6 months you’ll probably already have an OB6 Fire Sephiroth without ever worrying about having to invest in him.

The worst players I see in coop are always Clouds. Aeriths are usually great, Sephiroths range from meh to excellent, Lucias are rare but solid, but Clouds are like 90% garbage. Just finished a VH2 Shiva battle with a Cloud who had fricking Quakera as his main attack. Why.

Just got and started FFVIIR. I am not going to do any significant mods any time soon, but if I wanted to mod costumes like from Ever Crisis can you switch between costumes in-game or do you have to pick one at a time when launching?
Thought so. Pretty much kills it for me. Hopefully rebirth has switchable costumes in base game so that you can add a whole bunch and switch whenever. I could see them seeing the money making potential off of costume DLC because of EC.
Got me doing 23k damage on Yuffie. Is it a fluke just for her event? It's a monumental boost just with the outfit and +1 OB on the weapon. I regretfully didn't get the Thunder Arcanum when it came out so it's my first for Cloud.
Sephiroth is just not worth it because his weapon is really just meant to boost Cloud’s.
Would definitely have went for it if it was magic damage. My fire team would be crazy then. Since it's attack it just nerfs my Seph who already has pretty damn good magic fire damage.
A friend of mine is on OB3, 2800atk lvl 2 fire potency, we first tested it on Gallonbaloir coop and she was doing 11k give or take, then when she got to Yuffie she was going 21k
Dammit, I knew Yuffie's event was just boosted because it was such a drastic increase on my Cloud's damage even if I did get decently stronger stat-wise.
It's not necessarily that Yuffie's event is boosted, but enemies can have varying levels of elemental weakness. Some only take 200% damage, while others can have like 300%.

EC has great gameplay and team building but the grind is the worst I ever dealt with and it's not close. Mobius shits on EC x100000000 in terms of actual story content. Not even on the same stratosphere. Both important things but for FF story much more important (I liked Mobius gameplay too though).

I definitely can do it. I have the means, and I think even the comp figured out. It's just learning the rhythms of it that I haven't done yet. Gotta make sure to switch to this character at X time to make sure they don't burn ATB they'll need for sigil break, gotta make sure to precast the MDEF ability so it goes off right after the debuff, things like that. Its a part of the fun, I've just put it off because they're giving away so many free draws I figured I might get this or that weapon OB'd to get a little edge because my current Bahamut team is only about 170k.

Well that's my fricking limit, the back to back magic fights on very hard fricks me in the ass and there's no way i can survive the twins' first attack, a shame since i can melt the dragon dude just fine which at least lets me get a score boost after fighting the fricking lizard, but damn
I take the left after the scorpion to fight the mech first, i fricking suck at magic attack so this Red is the best i've got, limit breaking on his cooldown and all that shit, then for the lizard i just limit breaking after killing his adds while he's on the sigil phase, sometimes he sigils while the adds are still up so that can be annoying, then i had to ignore the twins 'cause frick that first attack and go melt the dragon with Tifa's ice attack, managed to add a score boost after the mech which reduced my physical defense but it didn't add much, just added 40k points to my record
I could try buffing up my HP and try tanking the teams but i'm worried about my performance with lower attack against the fricking mech and lizard combo, got nothing better to do aside from sleeping so might as well i guess
I don't know why your battle power is so low relative to how boosted your weapons are but you really need a lot more HP. Which I would expect you to have with those damage numbers. Either your materia sucks or you're not using great sub weapons or both.
Also weird seeing a Seph physical attack build. I have him at 3k attack but magic.

Doing it again, I would definitely shift more offensive overall. Maybe drop Kuja's weapon for Aonibi, which wouldn't speed things up too much, but would give bonus points for big number. Definitely drop Matt's buff. Dunno if I'd be better putting in the MDEF debuff or switching in Cloud with Crystal sword in the offhand to provide bare minimum healing while laying on the lightning damage, especially since crawler is the slowest fight by far. Swap Lucia's weapons and use Blizarra as a DPS tool with a 30% slot. Basically what I'm saying is don't look to my team. I do think the route sounds right though, maybe take an extra score boost somewhere.

Tifa's my healer and I have her healing gloves at OB6 but want to increase her attack damage. It just sucks that she is obviously geared towards physical but the heal gloves are geared towards magic. I could combine it with OB2 Tiger Fangs but it's redundant since I use Kuja weapon as Seph's secondary.
Also the #1 guy in my group on his Hard run (not Very Hard) has 621k score. I can only manage to get 618k, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to not hit 621k. I’m basically one shotting everything, if I got 3000 more points I’d be bumped to 2nd place.

I skipped that banner because I thought it was surely bait. Zack in his sci-fi armor was just weeks away, Tifa was gonna get her white leather outfit. 35% element damage was going to get powercrept immediately, of course. How stupid I feel when the wallpaper comes up on shuffle. Luckily a lot of games like this make a deal out of their first 6 months in service so March could bring it around, but it still feels a bit late.
Yea that's my one regret. I didn't understand the mechanics well enough at that point, and thought costumes were overhyped and people saying to summon for them instead of weapons were just gays into cosmetics. Also have always been f2p and didn't want to drain all my crystals right away. His fire arcanum makes up for it some though.
Luckily I did go for Tifa's summer outfit because of a tier list site saying it's necessary if she is your healer, otherwise I would have shitty healing until recently since I couldn't get fairy tale until like the last month or two. Her healing gloves are OB6 so my Aerith can be a good healer as well if I want to use her instead but I might build her as a mage primarily.

Just ran my best challenge run I think I can possibly run. Getting all the score bonuses is pretty much impossible to get a decent endscore with how handicapped you are.
Matt's Stingray is gonna be my first OB10 gacha weapon (currently 9), and I've never once wishlisted the damn thing. My game is fricking obsessed with that thing.

I'm sure with the right setup you can survive that, but personally I just treated it as hard enrage. I just went full DPS, do DEF, no Barrier, HP in the 5ks. I did bring a Mid PATK down weapon just to give me the lead up front, but when she switched to Magic I just hit her harder. My Sky splitter was only OB1, using Zidane outfit. Only took a couple tries.

I've got 50k blue crystals going into our last week before Yuffie drops. Plus the next week's dailies and weeklies, that'll be enough for Yuffie, right? But that's not my biggest concern. It's the stamina needed to level up her and her weapons.
I'm going through about 600 stamina a day doing my dailies and farming the Yuffie event. That's means I go through most of the 12 daily Stamina bottles I can earn every 24 hours. But I suppose I didn't expect her to be a useful party member right off the bat.
I fear Yuffie's first banner won't be a useful one (non-Arcanum), but it'll be cute as frick. I'll still want to pull, but only this time. Otherwise, I really need to save my resources for the banners that give her the best builds.

tbh sephiroth wasn't bait because it was an arcanum. and now out of the last 5 outfits 3 were arcanum, no way they'll give yuffie an arcanum on release, instead of dropping it on the banner right after
The implication here is that only Arcanum outfits are worth anything but for a lot of accounts that are developed and caught up, but not whaled out Mastery outfits are competitive because HP is such an important ability. Cloud's Zidane outfit is very strong and impressively versatile. She could also come with some new ability like increasing crit rate or some shit.
at this point you should have an hp outfits for everyone anyway. plus some of those from the voucher shop also give hp. also consider that now that the max level is 65, base hp on every character is already 5k+, and you can easily get to 6k with materias
as for the crossover exclusive gears, they are all must pull for me anyway (i'm saving for those, but i HAD to pull on cloud's fire arcanum...)

Average I guess, I tried pulling as little as possible. Most of my weapons are for Cloud, Tifa and Zack so that's who I'm running. Second team is the FS gang so I can clear their story content.
I really got into EC like a month ago. I did use the EXP training fights to level up a lot, but raw levels didn't seem like as big an impact as upgrading your characters via their streams using Character Memories. Now, you still need to level up your character, to unlock parts of a character stream, but that's where I would focus.
Also, note that you can craft your characters 4 potential ways via the character stream. Because of the branched layout, you can unlock some stats over others. Some branches may have a lot of physical attack or healing or magic or HP. Choosing which branches to unlock can be a more efficient use of your limited memory crystals. For example, if you want to make Cloud a Physical Attack build, ignore the magic and healing branches in his character stream.

How's your weapons looking? Leveling them should have a much bigger effect than leveling the characters
said is also true. Weapons, Outfits and Materia can have way more impact on your success in battle than raw character levels. Useful outfits are only available from banners, so if you don't have anything right now, you'll just have to wait. Weapons are similar, but you have a chance at grabbing most older weapons in future pulls. Just don't expect those chances to be high as every new banner introduces more weapons making older weapon pull chances smaller.
In the process of upgrading weapons and materia, you will need a lot of crafting materials. There are fights you can grind for those which may be more important than raw EXP. Same goes with memory crystals for your character streams. That's probably where I would focus your Stamina on. EXP levels is just for you to unlock stuff and then to earn it passively while grinding other stuff. The only rush is to clear story content that unlocks features like summons.
Aside from all of that, you want to try and reduce the number of characters you bother leveling. That'll let you focus your resources on a few characters. But keep in mind some characters are better at offense, healing, debuffs than others.
Don't tell newbies to drag down everyone else's score, theirs included. Only buycucks can consistently carry them. You have no business for example doing the hardest Bahamut co-op under 70k power WITH an adequate build for it. Even a lot of whales will NOPE out of there when there is a shit/low level build queuing.
If a low level wants to get carried ONE TIME just for the clear, fine. But then go back down a difficulty for grinding. It's literally better for them too as they'll get better drops because they aren't cucking the overall score.
From what I've learned, events can be great places to maximize your stamina and time. They usually come with their own currency and shops with unique, rare or hard to earn items. Look at the event shop for both Gold and Silver Scales. You'll find 5-star tickets, 4-star tickets, character-specific weapon parts, character memory crystals, weapon and materia crafting items and more.
Not only can will your stamina be spent gaining event-specific currency for items in the event shop, but you can spend a lot of your time co-oping for said currency. This allows you to also earn co-op currency which can be spent at the co-op shop. All the while earning exp, rewards like crafting materials and blue crystals when clearing event content and meeting new players (don't forget to send a friend request for a reward).
Events can sometimes have other rewards attached to them as well. For example, the Yuffie event has a daily reward. Earn 100, 200 and 500 Gold or Silver scales and you get a total bonus of 350 Gold/Silver scales. This means you're not using your stamina efficiently for the event after earning 500 scales, but in order to get most of the good stuff in the shop, you probably want to earn a bit more than that. Just something to keep in mind. EC seems to reward regular daily activity from what I've seen.
I'd also like to add it's been pretty fun trying to figure this game out, though I didn't do it all on my own. While I thought FF16's game systems were fine, I think people who were asking for more RPG mechanics would hate this kind of stuff. I think it's pretty fantastic, especially when combined with the nu-ATB/Party system.
It’s honestly depressing how no one seems to bring any sort of PATK/MATK debuff into the Yuffie Ruin fights. On that note, Sephiroth’s Kuja blade makes her a joke.

Every level cap including the original of 50 showed the next chunk of the stat stream that was forever out of reach, but this one doesn't. I don't think 65 is a forever cap, but I do think they're going to pause here and introduce something else like accessories and then probably push the level cap when they're ready to introduce a 3rd Limit Break

kuja blade, a physical sunbrella, aerith's def all but it will be atk all, an m atk earth pot weapon, an atk and m ability pot weapon, an amarant claw phys up buff, a hp and ice pot weapon and many more.

Wew lad, first run on mt nibel VH was abysmal. Those ads at the end are indeed no joke, I didn't realize how much debuffing yourself would reck you in that fight.
My only ice build sephiroth then got killed super early in the ifrit fight but still finished it and ended with 1.2million+. Don't think I care to do it anymore even though I can do a looot better after knowing what's coming, that's usually what I aim for anyway.

No. They drop an item that adds to your overall score. Yeah they suck so you have to plan your attacks quickly. After all my stacking debuffs, the 2nd trash encounter takes 2 full attacks from my team to kill each enemy

I ran Aerith’s healing ult and managed to squeeze it in twice for my run. Also I did a quick spot party heal after breaking sigils on the twins fight and healed again once during Ifrit cause i think his rush would have killed someone

OB7 is not worth it on any weapon. It is an obstacle to OB10 and it is a consolation prize that you pulled your "done" weapon again, but it is never worth wanting itself.

The Ruin materia can all break that sigil, and the new dungeon after you complete the new CC chapter let’s you craft the ruin materia specifically for it.

Starts off casting Megaflare with 5 stacks of MATK up. You got 10 seconds to cast MATK Down (high) x2 plus an addition Defaith to get his MATK down to -3 with someone else casting party MDEF up so you don’t get 1-shotted. Then the fight starts.

Tons of people have been using cheat engine to lower the enemy's health, but I'm not sure how easy is for applibot to detect it.
If you know a bit about programming then you can use ff7ecapi to decrypt the protobufs and see if you can find something of interest.

The basic version can send 'clicks' based on coordinates/handle name, and if you use the image recognition libraries then you can take a screenshot of the retry button and have the program search for those pixels and click on them.

I had Seph with Edged Wings and Anobi, Lucia with Bald Eagle for Ice down and also gave her Blizzard Blow, and Cloud was just spamming his IX event weapon.
A couple tricks that might help is to wait on nuking at the beginning of the fight until your Attack Gauge is at 100% so you do full damage. If you want to debuff/buff first that’s fine, but you want to spam max ATB on abilities once you’re at 100% attack gauge power.
Also what I think helped me was bringing Esuna (Fog) on Lucia to dispel the Fog debuff on Seph since it doubles magic ATB costs. That really fricks him. And last piece of advice is that during the sigil break phase I didn’t focus on breaking with sigils at all and just spent ATB nuking away instead. I figure you don’t get extra time if you break it so it doesn’t matter anyways so your best option is to spend the ATB on getting as many points as you can.

Honestly, take another look at OB10. It's good for the weapons that partner with an arcanum outfit, but even other big damage weapons like Zidane don't jump much, most support weapons give their full buff at 6 and only get extra time, and even the healer weapons get only the slightest boost. You have a weapon for real at OB1 and it's done at OB6. 5* and OB7+ are consolation prizes
Do Criterion Dungeons exist as something to grind if you run out of Stamina? Cause they seems pretty worthless after you clear them once.

I kind of like how they're traditional OG FF7 maps you can run through with random encounters, but EC's gaming experience is more like FF14 than OG FF7. Unless the content is really fun, it better be giving out rewards or its not worth doing.

The only useful information would be "This is the DPS target you need to meet" and that could be a simple text post. I'm really struggling to figure out my team comp for this. Do you run a character with a Diamond Sigil weapon? I feel like it wouldn't be necessary if we could turn the AI off, but going into the break phase with full bars and spamming 3ATB moves with everyone is inconsistent at best. This was my party. Took me almost 3 hours to get my rhythm and timing right.
The fight has like 5 incredibly tight windows you need to accomplish. I don't think it's possible without the Diamond Sigil. Also depending on your team comp DEF down is a must, I do double the damage with it up, making some of the timing windows possible.
The last 30 seconds of the fight is really fun, just a straight dps race where you don't have to worry about healing at all. Feels fricking great rocking the Bahamut profile icon.
Mythril Rod? I thought for sure you would want Umbrella there instead. I know that's where your PDEF comes from, but it feels really redundant with Bandaged Sword.
Dive bomb and his Umbra Strikes move always 1-shots me without any physical defense up. Goes from 10k+ damage down to 8k.

I think part of that is that the two games were originally supposed to run alongside each other. So you'd get the same events in both, but since FS didn't have a story outside of the short blurb excuses they gave for in-battle stuff lmao Whispers made copies of Cloud 30 years before he was born just to style on SOLDIER candidates, the actual details of the holidays would've been left up to EC. So when EC was delayed, FS just got stuck with random no context shit.

They literally weren't even designed as actual charcters; they were the generic trailer stand-ins for the customizable player characters in the First Soldier battle royale. I'm pretty sure they didn't even have actual names until Ever Crisis.

I would have to dig up the interview because it has been a long time, but when they were talking about how they wanted to put a story to FS they mentioned that Team Glenn was going to have an actual story running in the background and it would be relevant to the compilation. you can convert weapon parts into medals that you can trade for grindstone chunks but it's a useless feature because the game throws enough resources at you that you would need to be moronic to do that

The timer thing to find players is tiresome
No one is properly spread out among the different tiers offered so the best way to find a fight is to either do the very easiest or very hardest difficulty
Therefore the fights are either over in 1 second or so grueling and punishing (and entirely dependent on your other teammates not being shitters) that you're better off just doing the 1 second fight
Needs to be completely revamped, co-op in this game is half-assed and half-finished
If it fails twice you should get paired with a ghost party. It's insane that you have to waste an entire hour if you want to do 3 battles of coop.

Tempted. I need weapons, but it does feel like a waste. I'll try to be patient, collect my daily and weekly rewards and hold out for something better.
It's solid actually. A featured weapon normally has 1% rates, and a wishlisted weapon 0.8%. The special banner just makes wishlisted items 1.5%, and does not feature any other 5* at all so when you get a guarantee every 6 stamps you get something you want. If you're a day 1 player there's no real need, but if you started recently and need to hit some of the stuff that was never featured like Fairy Tail or Aonibi or whatever, it's good. I remember I pulled on the Halloween banner not because I wanted the featured, but because I was trying to OB my wishlist and get stronger, so I would have loved a banner like this then.

Yeah, it's not too bad actually. You just need to account for the status changes. He hits you with I think High MDEF down and then gets Very Very High MATK up and that gets fricky. If you can swing it to having MDEF up and give him MATK down in time, you're good to go

They are going to sacrifice every other game to keep this one alive long enough to shill the rest of the FFVII Remake.
EC is doing really well and bringing in bank. The Steam release bolstered the numbers even further. Even if this is the 'peak' and it settles that's still several millions of dollars per month, pushing ahead of other gacha that have been in the industry a lot longer. And yes with FF7 remake incoming that's another huge surge in the wings. Personally though I just want it to stick around because I like it. Seems pretty solid for many years to come.

I hate it though because until now you could choose one to invest in as your main DPS and they were just two sides of a coin. Both had an Arcanum for a summon, both had a mastery for an off element, both had an ability potency, they were just split along certain lines like MAG/PHYS. The new hotness meta being both of them and then either Matt or Glenn for the P.ATK boost means you need to have both up and filled in and I haven't exactly done many Cloud Memory missions
If you play the long game (which you should in any gacha you’re having fun with) it doesn’t matter who you invest in. In 6 months your party comp is going to be way better than it is today, so in 6 months you’ll probably already have an OB6 Fire Sephiroth without ever worrying about having to invest in him.
The longer you play = the more party comp options you’ll have

Co-op would be so much smoother if weakgays stopped trying to punch so far above their weight. It makes no sense. IF it doesn't end in a loss, it's a shitty score. They're better off going a difficulty down, they make rewards worse for everyone involved. I'm 73k power and even I am grinding just VH1.

The worst players I see in coop are always Clouds. Aeriths are usually great, Sephiroths range from meh to excellent, Lucias are rare but solid, but Clouds are like 90% garbage. Just finished a VH2 Shiva battle with a Cloud who had fricking Quakera as his main attack. Why.

Got me doing 23k damage on Yuffie. Is it a fluke just for her event? It's a monumental boost just with the outfit and +1 OB on the weapon. I regretfully didn't get the Thunder Arcanum when it came out so it's my first for Cloud.
Would definitely have went for it if it was magic damage. My fire team would be crazy then. Since it's attack it just nerfs my Seph who already has pretty damn good magic fire damage.
A friend of mine is on OB3, 2800atk lvl 2 fire potency, we first tested it on Gallonbaloir coop and she was doing 11k give or take, then when she got to Yuffie she was going 21k
fire potency is the main driver. im sitting at level 5
Dammit, I knew Yuffie's event was just boosted because it was such a drastic increase on my Cloud's damage even if I did get decently stronger stat-wise.
It's not necessarily that Yuffie's event is boosted, but enemies can have varying levels of elemental weakness. Some only take 200% damage, while others can have like 300%.

EC has great gameplay and team building but the grind is the worst I ever dealt with and it's not close. Mobius shits on EC x100000000 in terms of actual story content. Not even on the same stratosphere. Both important things but for FF story much more important (I liked Mobius gameplay too though).
There was something missing to Mobius, and I think it was the fact that it was a 1-character gameplay. I always wanted to add teams to it. But yeah, I wish Mobius was still around instead of eos
i've been thinking about this a lot and, besides the obvious monetization aspect (which honestly couldn't be any more f2p friendly), ec is pretty much in like with standard jrpgs. story is mid, character designs are cool, gameplay is braindead (spam a/enable auto) EXCEPT for endgame battles, which require both farming, planning, and careful execution.
Crash battles and Event Challenges are the most fun I have, spending hours to beat that shit

Same. I actually still need to grind Bahamut both for the co-op missions and just boosting the weapons but it feels like even the easy mode of the fight takes forever and it only gives 1 part for 1 weapon so it doesn't feel very rewarding. Might try and beat EX1, I dunno.

I definitely can do it. I have the means, and I think even the comp figured out. It's just learning the rhythms of it that I haven't done yet. Gotta make sure to switch to this character at X time to make sure they don't burn ATB they'll need for sigil break, gotta make sure to precast the MDEF ability so it goes off right after the debuff, things like that. Its a part of the fun, I've just put it off because they're giving away so many free draws I figured I might get this or that weapon OB'd to get a little edge because my current Bahamut team is only about 170k.

I take the left after the scorpion to fight the mech first, i fricking suck at magic attack so this Red is the best i've got, limit breaking on his cooldown and all that shit, then for the lizard i just limit breaking after killing his adds while he's on the sigil phase, sometimes he sigils while the adds are still up so that can be annoying, then i had to ignore the twins 'cause frick that first attack and go melt the dragon with Tifa's ice attack, managed to add a score boost after the mech which reduced my physical defense but it didn't add much, just added 40k points to my record

I could try buffing up my HP and try tanking the teams but i'm worried about my performance with lower attack against the fricking mech and lizard combo, got nothing better to do aside from sleeping so might as well i guess
I don't know why your battle power is so low relative to how boosted your weapons are but you really need a lot more HP. Which I would expect you to have with those damage numbers. Either your materia sucks or you're not using great sub weapons or both.
Also weird seeing a Seph physical attack build. I have him at 3k attack but magic.

Doing it again, I would definitely shift more offensive overall. Maybe drop Kuja's weapon for Aonibi, which wouldn't speed things up too much, but would give bonus points for big number. Definitely drop Matt's buff. Dunno if I'd be better putting in the MDEF debuff or switching in Cloud with Crystal sword in the offhand to provide bare minimum healing while laying on the lightning damage, especially since crawler is the slowest fight by far. Swap Lucia's weapons and use Blizarra as a DPS tool with a 30% slot. Basically what I'm saying is don't look to my team. I do think the route sounds right though, maybe take an extra score boost somewhere.

Tifa's my healer and I have her healing gloves at OB6 but want to increase her attack damage. It just sucks that she is obviously geared towards physical but the heal gloves are geared towards magic. I could combine it with OB2 Tiger Fangs but it's redundant since I use Kuja weapon as Seph's secondary.

I pick up every score bonus except the first one. -40% right at the beginning is too much. Other than that I go Scorp > Mole > Baloir > Twins > Ifrit.
Also the #1 guy in my group on his Hard run (not Very Hard) has 621k score. I can only manage to get 618k, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to not hit 621k. I’m basically one shotting everything, if I got 3000 more points I’d be bumped to 2nd place.

I skipped that banner because I thought it was surely bait. Zack in his sci-fi armor was just weeks away, Tifa was gonna get her white leather outfit. 35% element damage was going to get powercrept immediately, of course. How stupid I feel when the wallpaper comes up on shuffle. Luckily a lot of games like this make a deal out of their first 6 months in service so March could bring it around, but it still feels a bit late.
Yea that's my one regret. I didn't understand the mechanics well enough at that point, and thought costumes were overhyped and people saying to summon for them instead of weapons were just gays into cosmetics. Also have always been f2p and didn't want to drain all my crystals right away. His fire arcanum makes up for it some though.
Luckily I did go for Tifa's summer outfit because of a tier list site saying it's necessary if she is your healer, otherwise I would have shitty healing until recently since I couldn't get fairy tale until like the last month or two. Her healing gloves are OB6 so my Aerith can be a good healer as well if I want to use her instead but I might build her as a mage primarily.

I'm sure with the right setup you can survive that, but personally I just treated it as hard enrage. I just went full DPS, do DEF, no Barrier, HP in the 5ks. I did bring a Mid PATK down weapon just to give me the lead up front, but when she switched to Magic I just hit her harder. My Sky splitter was only OB1, using Zidane outfit. Only took a couple tries.

I've got 50k blue crystals going into our last week before Yuffie drops. Plus the next week's dailies and weeklies, that'll be enough for Yuffie, right? But that's not my biggest concern. It's the stamina needed to level up her and her weapons.
I'm going through about 600 stamina a day doing my dailies and farming the Yuffie event. That's means I go through most of the 12 daily Stamina bottles I can earn every 24 hours. But I suppose I didn't expect her to be a useful party member right off the bat.
I fear Yuffie's first banner won't be a useful one (non-Arcanum), but it'll be cute as frick. I'll still want to pull, but only this time. Otherwise, I really need to save my resources for the banners that give her the best builds.

tbh sephiroth wasn't bait because it was an arcanum. and now out of the last 5 outfits 3 were arcanum, no way they'll give yuffie an arcanum on release, instead of dropping it on the banner right after
The implication here is that only Arcanum outfits are worth anything but for a lot of accounts that are developed and caught up, but not whaled out Mastery outfits are competitive because HP is such an important ability. Cloud's Zidane outfit is very strong and impressively versatile. She could also come with some new ability like increasing crit rate or some shit.
at this point you should have an hp outfits for everyone anyway. plus some of those from the voucher shop also give hp. also consider that now that the max level is 65, base hp on every character is already 5k+, and you can easily get to 6k with materias
as for the crossover exclusive gears, they are all must pull for me anyway (i'm saving for those, but i HAD to pull on cloud's fire arcanum...)

Just started a few days ago, is training a bait for lvl grinding? I can't clear the second ch of story mode so I'm trying to power level to cap.
How's your weapons looking? Leveling them should have a much bigger effect than leveling the characters
Average I guess, I tried pulling as little as possible. Most of my weapons are for Cloud, Tifa and Zack so that's who I'm running. Second team is the FS gang so I can clear their story content.
I really got into EC like a month ago. I did use the EXP training fights to level up a lot, but raw levels didn't seem like as big an impact as upgrading your characters via their streams using Character Memories. Now, you still need to level up your character, to unlock parts of a character stream, but that's where I would focus.
Also, note that you can craft your characters 4 potential ways via the character stream. Because of the branched layout, you can unlock some stats over others. Some branches may have a lot of physical attack or healing or magic or HP. Choosing which branches to unlock can be a more efficient use of your limited memory crystals. For example, if you want to make Cloud a Physical Attack build, ignore the magic and healing branches in his character stream.

said is also true. Weapons, Outfits and Materia can have way more impact on your success in battle than raw character levels. Useful outfits are only available from banners, so if you don't have anything right now, you'll just have to wait. Weapons are similar, but you have a chance at grabbing most older weapons in future pulls. Just don't expect those chances to be high as every new banner introduces more weapons making older weapon pull chances smaller.
In the process of upgrading weapons and materia, you will need a lot of crafting materials. There are fights you can grind for those which may be more important than raw EXP. Same goes with memory crystals for your character streams. That's probably where I would focus your Stamina on. EXP levels is just for you to unlock stuff and then to earn it passively while grinding other stuff. The only rush is to clear story content that unlocks features like summons.
Aside from all of that, you want to try and reduce the number of characters you bother leveling. That'll let you focus your resources on a few characters. But keep in mind some characters are better at offense, healing, debuffs than others.

Don't tell newbies to drag down everyone else's score, theirs included. Only buycucks can consistently carry them. You have no business for example doing the hardest Bahamut co-op under 70k power WITH an adequate build for it. Even a lot of whales will NOPE out of there when there is a shit/low level build queuing.
If a low level wants to get carried ONE TIME just for the clear, fine. But then go back down a difficulty for grinding. It's literally better for them too as they'll get better drops because they aren't cucking the overall score.

She is the exception. Also, in general not just the score but it makes an arduous grind take even longer.
From what I've learned, events can be great places to maximize your stamina and time. They usually come with their own currency and shops with unique, rare or hard to earn items. Look at the event shop for both Gold and Silver Scales. You'll find 5-star tickets, 4-star tickets, character-specific weapon parts, character memory crystals, weapon and materia crafting items and more.
Not only can will your stamina be spent gaining event-specific currency for items in the event shop, but you can spend a lot of your time co-oping for said currency. This allows you to also earn co-op currency which can be spent at the co-op shop. All the while earning exp, rewards like crafting materials and blue crystals when clearing event content and meeting new players (don't forget to send a friend request for a reward).
Events can sometimes have other rewards attached to them as well. For example, the Yuffie event has a daily reward. Earn 100, 200 and 500 Gold or Silver scales and you get a total bonus of 350 Gold/Silver scales. This means you're not using your stamina efficiently for the event after earning 500 scales, but in order to get most of the good stuff in the shop, you probably want to earn a bit more than that. Just something to keep in mind. EC seems to reward regular daily activity from what I've seen.
I'd also like to add it's been pretty fun trying to figure this game out, though I didn't do it all on my own. While I thought FF16's game systems were fine, I think people who were asking for more RPG mechanics would hate this kind of stuff. I think it's pretty fantastic, especially when combined with the nu-ATB/Party system.
It’s honestly depressing how no one seems to bring any sort of PATK/MATK debuff into the Yuffie Ruin fights. On that note, Sephiroth’s Kuja blade makes her a joke.

Every level cap including the original of 50 showed the next chunk of the stat stream that was forever out of reach, but this one doesn't. I don't think 65 is a forever cap, but I do think they're going to pause here and introduce something else like accessories and then probably push the level cap when they're ready to introduce a 3rd Limit Break

kuja blade, a physical sunbrella, aerith's def all but it will be atk all, an m atk earth pot weapon, an atk and m ability pot weapon, an amarant claw phys up buff, a hp and ice pot weapon and many more.

Wew lad, first run on mt nibel VH was abysmal. Those ads at the end are indeed no joke, I didn't realize how much debuffing yourself would reck you in that fight.
My only ice build sephiroth then got killed super early in the ifrit fight but still finished it and ended with 1.2million+. Don't think I care to do it anymore even though I can do a looot better after knowing what's coming, that's usually what I aim for anyway.

Probably. With all the stacking debuffs after getting the score bonuses I had to use a Magic Jelly on Sephiroth to be able to kill Ifrit before Hellfire, lowering my score total

No. They drop an item that adds to your overall score. Yeah they suck so you have to plan your attacks quickly. After all my stacking debuffs, the 2nd trash encounter takes 2 full attacks from my team to kill each enemy

If you cant beat content you're trying to beat and this will put you over the edge, I would use them. Otherwise save weapon parts - and you are correct, only use them for crossover/collab events if the weapons are never going to be in the wishlist pulls.
OB7 is not worth it on any weapon. It is an obstacle to OB10 and it is a consolation prize that you pulled your "done" weapon again, but it is never worth wanting itself.

Its going to take you like 4 or 5 runs for you to really understand the rotation and timing of your ATB abilities. Every account is different, Im sure you can hit top 100
Say a character is level 50. About how much will you level up overnight with an autoclicker? How many days to 65?
Thinking I might finally do this not just to save myself from the grind but to save stam potions.
if you optimize your team then it's more or less 8 hours per level (depends on how quick you can kill the boss, exp bonuses, cactuars, etc...)
