What is the highest ballpark score for a f2p in the event dungeon? I got to 2.11 mil on my own just trying things out. I have a lot of ideas for how to make adjustments and improvements, so I could probably get a few extra points, but the top 100 in my group is 2.43 million and that seems like more than slight cleaning up.

2.43 is really on that border. It is certainly possible for "a" f2p to do it, but I wouldn't consider it broadly available to "f2p players". Basically if you left your wishlist pretty much the same from day 1 and have several OB6+ weapons on this dedicated build you've made, you can do it. If you spread yourself any amount of thin though, it's gonna bite you. This dungeon is all about fast kills, getting it done in as few casts as possible.

Doubtful. EC being a weapon gacha means it has a higher chance than a character gacha game would, but XIV hasn't even had a proper VII or VIIR collab yet, and those would definitely happen before EC.

as secondary weapon it's really good. if you use outfits + primary weapons to max out patk/matk, you can put it in secondary slot to get the hp boost to 6k AND the huge atk boost too. i always use it in my teams since the current ob level already mogs other ATK only weapons, and this one will only get better from now on. definitely get it to 90

Yes, invest in Cloud Aerith and Sephiroth. Tifa is good but not as min/maxed as those three. New characters will probably have too much catching up to do to be META. And only spend on Arcanum outfits.
theorically everyone is worth raising depending of what kind of future content they have planned ahead, my guess is that they should release some kind of hard content that forces us to use characters from each specific storyline, but yeah Leveling up Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Sephiroth and Zack is probably the current meta for characters

(general note: use summons only when told too, use items when needed)

A b***h. The damage check is not any real step up from Very Hard, you just need more HP for yourself. That makes it harder to play around with pure f2p soul unless you have an older account, but it's not a big deal really. Compare it to EX2 however is for whales with dialed in builds who have learned the fight forward and backwards.

Not generally worth it to use on growth crystals. I personally only ever grab weapon parts and weapon materials. You can set your chocobos up to bring you more stat stream pieces than you want. Roll the leftover coins to next week to grab weapon stuff again

I don't. When an event is around, I primarily just focus on the event shop. I assume the event and its currency are the best use of stamina at the time, co-op or not, and throw my resources there. But I haven't done the math, so I can't say for sure. And in the case of Yuffie's event shop, it has items that can help with leveling weapons up. Although, I feel like some of the items that get refilled at higher prices are traps.
So, I put everything else aside until a new banner drops. I don't even use the items I get at the event shop. Well, except maybe for a daily/weekly/season pass requirement. I hold most of them until the next banner. Then if I see a weapon or outfit I want to build around, I'll use the resources I've collected over the past few weeks.

I got 1 OB on Seph's. Only one copy of Cloud and Tifa's. Really wish Cloud's got the OB. It goes from 650% to 780% just with one. I'm still on the fence on whether I should use all of Cloud's weapon parts just to overboost it one time. Murasame is already OB6 and close to 7, and his other good weapons have at least OB1.

No, it's based on the content you've done. Story (including EX stages) and tower give exp to all characters; that also goes to characters added later. Yuffie started at 31 for me.

Actually VH crisis dungeons have all had one or more encounters that are vulnerable to stun, as well as one or more encounters vulnerable to silence. One of them, I forget which had every encounter but one be vulnerable to the interrupts, so you never really know
Every account is different. The only ones I'd say to stay away from is Razor Ring & Magic Shuriken. You dont need aoe elemental on her.
My wishlist is going for Wind Slash & 4-Point Shuriken for the Buff/Debuff Extension R Abilities, Crystal Cross to be top tier support, and Wind Slash (again) for the Thunder Res Down since I already have Ice & Fire covered.
I got her fire and thunder one, but lucia has the ice one. That being said it's weird that only the thunder one has an elemental boost special ability.

First, summon on Cloud's banner until you get his outfit. Second, I would go for Yuffie's banner until you get her costume. You are guaranteed at least one of their banner weapons each doing this and their costumes greatly enhance it. Cloud is the best DPS in the game, and Arcanum outfits are the best damage outfits in the game. Yuffie brought a whole lot of new mechanics and is an extremely multi-purpose character who will age really well through metas.
As for wishlist, I'm not really sure what you should go for. Healing isn't as important the stronger you get, and new dps weapons are releasing with decent healing. I don't think you can really go wrong with what the banner default wishlist weapons are since they are the newest and the newer ones are generally notably better than older ones.
After getting both costumes, it's not a bad idea to keep going on Cloud's banner for more of his fire weapon.
I am speaking on someone just starting though, not so much rerolling. You should be able to get a ton of free general pool tickets and get a better idea of what you should pull for afterwards because in this game, pulling depends more on what you got and what would help.

Basically? You don't. They fricked him too hard at the start, giving him just worse versions of everyone else's shit. He has a generic team mitigation like Aerith's Mythril Rod, but it has what might be the longest cast in the game. He has a 900% physical weapon like Tifa, but it only catches up at OB10, and does less damage until then. He has a diamond sigil weapon like Lucia, but it just straight does less damage. His Lab's are set up like Cloud's but because of the R.Abilities natively available to them, Glenn is never going to get as much out of them. He would need several banners of good weapons to fix him, but he won't get that because he isn't a money character like Seph and Cloud. His only hope is a paradigm shift like a 3rd LB or the introduction of accessories and that new twist wanking him in particular. It's actually a kino move. Seph literally stole his slot on the team, gameplay and story both.

Depends, i'm running an Ice Goddess Tifa so Pinwheel was perfect for that, also put in her other ice attack one for cases of enemies that can't be debuffed, i'm planning for her to be mainly support but since her banner weapon also buffs her alongside the party member it's good to also have an attack on her

yeah, if you spend hundreds to get an ob6, and even then it's useless because the only thing it does is saving atb for yuffie. but built like that the only thing she can do properly is buff/debuff, so you just waste those on spamming shitty ruinras or something (also because secondary weapon slots will be filled with hp and some atk to bring her up to at least 2000...).
if she AT LEAST had an aoe hp regen spell then you could use her instead of tifa/aerith, but as a support only she's easily replaceable with other characters who we already have at 65 with ob2+ elemental debuff weapons anyway (lucia, sephiroth, red, maybe somebody else too)

Right. So if you have a buff that is 20 seconds, extended 7 and that buff has already been applied and run down to only having 3 seconds remaining, it will only go up to 10 seconds remaining, meaning it would be better to let it run out and apply the buff again. Alternatively it might be better to keep it up if your extended is high and it takes multiple casts to get to its current potency.
Oh so yuffie's banner weapon buff duration effect is a separate thing. I think I get it now.

MDEF down is useful, but Arc Sword is one of the worse ways to get it. Funky R abilities and most people prefer to have their healer handle that debuff. It can absolutely work though, just depending on your current party

I know that we, as EC players, haven't seen them yet, but that's true of every other new enemy they've introduced and they didn't stop to point out.

Murasame Battle Garb? If it has "Arcanum" in it, that means it's has the strongest elemental boost you can get from an outfit. MBG has a Lightning Arcanum and combined with Murasame, a Physical Lighting elemental weapon, makes Cloud the most powerful Lightning elemental DPS.
So, it's important. In the future, at least until something changes, you want to pull on an Arcanum outfit whenever you can. Well, at least for characters you plan on using. But sometimes outfits are really fricking cute, so you pull on those as well. Which means you'll need a lot of blue crystals!
I also want to add that outfits pulls have not repeated yet and so you should assume you only have one shot at them.

Work on R Ability weapons. Find ones that have +MAG and +Ice Potency for Sephiroth if you have his Edged Wings. Same goes for cloud that has +PATK and +Lightning Potency

I finally used the Steam version when Yuffie dropped, and goodness it was a night and day difference how much better it was than on my phone. Problem is I don't give gacha games enough attention to play it on something other than a phone while I'm doing other shit so I will use it sparingly. Maybe for ranked and limited dungeons. Possibly new story chapters.

I've really enjoyed playing on my phone. It's my first phone game since the days of Snake and it feels like gaming on a mobile handheld like the Vita or 3DS. But the touchscreen controls give it such a big screen feel to it. The controls aren't as good as physical buttons, but EC isn't exactly a game I need that kind of thing for. I also really like how I can play it as a second screen kind of experience. The only issue is if this game does continue for a while, I wonder how well my Galaxy S9 will keep up. The forest zones in the latest Yuffie chapters absolutely destroyed my frames.

Frick does Fort Tamblin want? No items? All 60k+ except two 55k which is funny because I killed Scorpion pretty damn quick. Shaved off more than half his HP right off the bat, and Seph was doing 30k+ per attack. Had 2 unused potions left, but there are barely any items in the dungeon.

I killed him right as he rushed towards my character and he went right through until he reached the wall on the other side and the camera stayed on him the whole time. I managed to get edge wings to ob6 and holy flame to ob5 so I should be good for a while.
I want to do my 5* x10 pull but they sure take their time to add new weapons to the pool.
