Capped it and it ended up having 6.9% MATK and 3.5% HP, which i consider an upgrade to the 3* only 1.9% PATK and flats.
That HP% is welcome on the fights with Quake weaknesses (Baloir bosses), so time to move on to upgrade other elements from 3*'s.

I wanted to continue to play it, even with its flaws. There's something that made me to stop to play it though, it's those boss Nuke attacks. You play well all the match and then by the end of it the boss starts to attack you non-stop with special moves. What's the point of the battle? Just start from the nuke stage.
Just save your limits until the last chunk of HP. You can usually tell when it's fixing to go sideways.

Matchmaking co-op Crash is hopeless. You need to make sure that you have 3 competent, complimentary members. Even if you have good power levels if everyone goes in as DPS you'll wind up fricked and that's all anyone invested into. This shit is for friends only

Nah. The recommended power might say "?" for the drama, but the required power is always 8-% of the rec. 52.6k req means 65.75k rec. An "endgame" goal for sure, but believable as a (day 1, dedicated) f2p. Plus level cap goes up in a few hours which will help close that gap easier.

Not really. The 70 to 80 grind just sucks too much to make me want to try out different builds and engage with actually playing the game. Similarly, because of the limit on Crisis Dungeon attempts, I don't really play them when I'm at their level and it would be engaging content because I need that S+ and don't want to block myself so I wind up waiting until I can auto my way through with pure power.

Skip his intro animation as soon as his wave starts and then immediately swap your controlled character once. Might need 2x speed on too. Now he'll never have a charge bar show up for Judgement Bolt, meaning he'll never use it.
Just mashing the corner of the screen to skip his intro and pause the game also works, but it feels kinda finicky since i only got it working once out of 3 tries.

Basically, there is a good game here but it is chopped up and spaced out with annoying bullshit. When the story is going, it's good, but it stops every 5 seconds to do a fight against frogs or some shit because we need to pad out the fight count. When you're fighting content at your level, there's a fun and interesting RPG, but to flesh out a build and push up your power level, you're gonna need to spam the same stage legitimately 100 times in a row. Incredibly f2p friendly though, which is good because the "premium" experience is one of the most expensive out there.

Slight amounts of regret just because Tifa and Red LB spam is crazy useful and also Aerith's heal animation is like 2-3x faster than Matt's so even though I like his overall kit better, she really is the better healbawd. Still, I'm confident that they helped me in certain ways I'd miss if I had done the whole thing with different characters.

Nope. You actually can't even really whale for them either. You can get a small amount for too much money in two different packs but one is limited time and they're both limited in number of purchases. It's all about hard and very hard Crisis Dungeons which then means you have a limited number of 90 weapons so pick carefully.

That glitch has happened to me multiple times and it was either triggered by pausing the game right before the skill countdown thing starts (with the ruin icons) or hitting the boss with the appropriate ruin attacks the milisecond before it appears

Nah, it'll be a standard banner. Glenn/Zack is a safe bet though, since Glenn was on the beta banner with Matt that got split for our current banner. Cloud/Barret made it to release intact, but Matt/Glenn has been split because it did so poorly in the beta they need to pair them up with popular characters to carry them.
Zack with a fire weapon and outfit feels extremely safe to me. I think a Lucia co-feature makes sense too. I know she had Bald Eagle with Sephiroth but I think they'll want a female costume to sell to the cumbrains. Aerith gets a f2p one and Tifa can sell a banner by herself so I think they'll leave her off and let Zack carry the literal who.

Is Shiva Very Hard 1 even possible. She nukes 1 character at the very start every time. I have all level 50 units
Defaith or someone who can otherwise debuff her MATK are basically essential for that fight.
Boost HP is the best R.Ability and should be a bigger priority than anything like Fire Potency. Other than that just make sure you 100% the Ifrit fight so you can Hellfire to lower her Ice Age bar and also the weapons give Ice Resist. Other than that, like anon said, just stay on top of defaith/Omnistrike/Sled Fang/ whatever else to lower M Attack

Nah. Sephiroth is only getting a partial wind damage boost compared to his ice outfit or Aerith's wind outfit so it feels discount. Cloud's outfit has Heal +10 instead of the +8 you'd get on Matt or Aerith's voucher outfits, but that's not special enough to chase. The weapons are alright, probably worth getting, but you can just wait for a banner with good outfits and then wishlist these weapons to get the most value
the weapons are shit, they are only useful to beat the ex3 pumpkin next week. gear are decent looking but their stats are beyond useless
Nah, the weapons are solid. High potency MDEF boost to the party is more useful than say the mid PDEF and MDEF of Mythril Rod. Sephiroth's weapon is almost 1:1 with his previous feature, but physical and wind instead of magic and ice.

Yes, asterisk. Honestly power doesn't mean a lot. You can beat stuff 70k above you with the right setup and lose to stuff you outpower with the random shit that best equip throws together. Part of that is that certain stats contribute to it unevenly. Heal adds like nothing and HP bloats the numbers a lot. Also the element of your damage matters. Quake shit is basically pointless at the moment and Thunder is great

5* materia makes a big difference too. A solid like 7% boost on a high OB weapon? Big numbers.

I don't really understand how that's the case but Shiva doesn't have exclusives, it's just getting co-op carried by whales through the harder version of the fight for faster farming. Dungeon ranking takes no stamina. Sephiroth Frenzy is an EX part to the previous Sephiroth event so it's not going to be a full thing to farm. Your stamina is still just for pumpkins

I promise it didn't. 85% of your power comes from weapons, and even more so when there's an arcamum or mastery costume. When sephiroth dropped, I was out damaging people who were 20 levels ahead of me because I had the "I win" weapon at OB2. Not spending enough on [Current Banner] will always leave you lagging on [Current Event] but that's gacha in general. You will want everyone at 55 because every point is worth getting, but it will come naturally. They'll get a main feature on a banner and be the official top tier for 2 weeks, you'll run them through the co-op, level be damned because you've got a sick ability, and before you know it you'll be 55.

It's good, but it's icing on the cake. Especially for a situation like Sephiroth where his gear pushes him to use a summon instead of LB. If you open up your own game right now you'll see a maxed out stat stream comes in around 200 points of attack when right now 2,0000 is in line with the top end even for casual spenders with only whales going beyond.
The key to Sephiroth EX and crash was Aerith, because again, it's always anout [Current Banner]. On the high end fights he always started by debuffing himself to wind so her dress got you ahead of the DPS check. Sephiroth has cycled back in because he is featured on a banner, not because he is an innately better character or anything.
To correct myself slightly here, my maxed out Sephiroth is at +235 MATK from stream, and depending on the build he comes in between 19 and 22k, OB3 level 90 main weapon, 4* materia in each slot

There's 3 resets actually because events and banners change at 10PM EST. Also the weekly co-op is offset from the weekly challenges is offset from the weekly dungeon stuff. I guess it's just to have that "refresh" feeling more often.

Yeah, I liked it day 1 and I was even fine with the first several updates even with the insane grinds in the background but we're a full 7 week later and they haven't even teased the next story update as upcoming. I've actually had a lot of fun with certain content like the VH summon fights solo or the battle tower because that involves actually playing the game and making choices but just setting the game up to auto and hitting start and refill stamina every now and then is losing it's charm pretty quick
i don't mind wasting 1 hour daily to spend 10 stamina tonics on the current event or whatever, but they HAVE to release at least 1 story chapter per month, otherwise the same 3 events get repetitive really quickly.
i assume that in november we'll get ramuh coop, and in december the next summon, so a big update should drop somewhere mid-november. that's my copium at least

No, they're actually a great, consistent source of elemental damage. Even though I'm lucky enough to have a fire weapon, fire materia is actually better for Shiva because she has high pdef and I have a good weapon for lowering mdef

Everything in the game is weak to at least some debuffs with the exception of the weather balloons and Sephiroth. VH summons, Crisis Dungeons, the battle tower, every high end piece of content has status vulnerabilities of some sort

It does lower that element resistance, even if they actively resist that element. You could argue that the potency and duration is not worth the ATB unless they're already weak and the multiplicative effect pulls it's weight, but you can't say it does "nothing"

It's really good with cloud
It gives big big boosts to PATK from R Abilities and raw stats, even at 5*. You want to use it with waters blow, not waters, even if you only have a 3* blow. For sure pull if you have summer outfit Cloud, otherwise I'd probably just wishlist it next banner, but you do want it.
i would've pulled zack's weapon if i didn't cheese ramuh vh2. i'll pull for 1 copy of glenn's weapon which should be a better investment in the long run. patk high buff on cloud would make him a killing machine
i already finished the event. gonna have fun farming victory tickets for the next week....
ex2 giant was pretty fun, i fricked him up with barrett spamming pdef down, tifa spamming patk down, and cloud max lvl patk R ability raping him with the water sword
