I always used to think people laugh too much and too easily in theaters but the complete lack of laughter or literally any reaction made those moments feel awkward and the viewing experience less hype.
Also holy shit the sound was so bad at the theater, fricking quiet as hell. Definitely the worst part.
Yea apparently it was the theater. My friend who went with me went to the dub yesterday at a theater downtown and he said the sound was what you would expect. I was mostly looking forward to One Winged Angel booming when Sephiroth finally appears, and the weak ass sound and bass made all the hype moments feel so much more flat. Major disappointment on that front.

i'm a sub heh BUT dub makes sense in a couple of cases. for once, when it's and audiovisual KINO, because it detracts from the KINO (i still rewatch it later with subs). the opposite is true, if i already saw something sub then i don't mind watching it dubbed in cinema

She was with a white guy cosplaying as Cloud lel his cosplay was actually decent but I only glanced because I was looking at the girl and people took pictures with him after the show.
With the next banner next week being a Zack/Matt banner, neither of which I main, I'll be finishing Page 2 of the Tifa/Red banner. I'm 4 stamps into Page 2. I'm OB3 on Guide Gloves. If I go for Red XIII's outfit, it's max 24k blue crystals. Let's see how things go.

This is where I feel like I should stop, but...with the guaranteed GG I picked up on Stamp 8 of Page 2 and the GG parts and Tifa-Specific Weapon Parts I have, I only need one more 5-star GG to hit OB6. Which means I only need to pull one more 5-star Guide Gloves to hit OB6.
I can definitely hit OB6 if I just grab the last guaranteed Guide Gloves at the end of page 3, but that sounds VERY expensive. Hmmmmmmm. The cross-over event ends March 3, so I got time to think about it.
Finishing the Crossover event today. Guide Gloves are at OB4, but I have enough parts to make it OB5. I just need one 5-star Guide Gloves to hit OB6. Beginning on Page 3, Stamp 3. Max 30k to get the guaranteed Guide Gloves at the end of Page 3.
18k for the last stretch of the Rebirth crossover banner. Add 39k from my two earlier pulls on the banner and that's 57k total. That was expensive, but it probably could've been worse.

i would be ok with the remake including shit of the compilation and expanding stuff from it, but the Time jannies brainrot really soured any expectation i had for the remake and to this day i still haven't played it, the only reason i see myself playing the game is too see how the combat is

Somewhere down the line, Glenn gets SOLDIER gene therepy and he reports directly to Rufus, leakers haven't really said much about him because I think the couple who have gotten that far have all said "literally who?"

Pulled until I got Zack's new outfit and wound up with only 2 copies of his sword and 1 for Matt. Several wishlist items, so I can't say I got nothing, but I'd kinda prefer to be more in on lol5ATB
My biggest problem now is the wishlist, before I was trying to get Yuffie imperils but now I feel like I need Matt and Zack utility weapons too. Not to mention the mandatory weapons I need that give +ATK+PHY Attack and Buff/Debuff extending R abilities

I've had a really decent time with co-oping since the cross-over event started. I've found people rather quickly. A few times I found people who would repeat the fight with me for quite a while. I even ran across people using their summons and limit breaks with me. I dunno. A lot better than co-op has been before.
I actually like the ouitfit. The buff/debuff duration is nice to run with Black Whisker or Twinkling star. It'll really depend on your team comp though I guess. Not as needed if you have a more dedicated PDEF down person.
I was wrong. I mistook the event coins for co-op medals. But it's strange because it still feels a lot faster. Maybe I'm just doing co-op more than normal.
Just for the meme of using the three characters from the co-op screen, I've been using a team of Glenn/Zack/Cloud and honestly it works pretty well. Glenn kinda just shows up and gets given generic tasks like sigil breaking but it works. It's actually pushed me to try out some alternate strategies too. Turns out in La'paina Very Hard, 3 of the 5 bosses can be stunned so I gave Cloud Crystal Sword for healing and had him spam Organics in between and had a grand old time with it.
Given how obsessed they are with the number 7, do you really think we're going to get a 6 month anniversary or will we be making a big deal for the 7th "Day of 7"

I'm only here for First Soldier. Like I enjoy the rest of FF7, I have the original through Rebirth but the only thing that brought me around to gacha was the idea of embracing the legacy of a shooter game I genuinely loved. Also, again, I have the OG, I have CC. Rather than playing those in a version that is both padded and abridged, I am most interested in the new stuff. For that reason, the FS 4 are my only 70s and have the most developed weapons, but it's a handicap because this game jerks off Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa even more than Sephiroth

Well, now Glenn gets Water Arcanum lmao. I think Cloud's looks better but it's both Cloud's 3rd Arcanum and the 3rd Ice Arcanum outfit so it kinda feels like "who gives a shit?"
Am I the only one that feels like pulling for arcanum outfits you already have in a certain element even if not the same type (physical/magic) is not worth it until you have an arcanum of every type if you're f2p?

I’m not. What would the requirements even be for the uncap? You already need 30 Mythril Ore which only just got added to the co-op exchange for level 90, you would probably need about 50 or so just to get to level 100.
Mythril ore + Summon memories, would be a good use of them since i already capped the elemental trio and there no further uses for them, too much currency bloats the game with unnecessary clutter imo as other gachas do
God, the battle against the Knight is trivially easy with the PATK buff. My build is far from optimal, and I’m managing roughly 25K per Ice Stream. I would go even harder on the banner, but I know there’s more coming for Zack and Seph.
I'm in a similar position. I got Glenn's shit, but not Cloud's because I already have a built Ice Sephiroth and I need to have crystals on hand in case they give Seph his 1300% weapon or something. Also the Zack stuff just looks so cool. Excited to see how his sword looks in detail because the chibi for it got me hyped

Does this party buff also buff the p atk of the person who has it equipped? Also don't you need to still get lvl 7 p atk? So for glenn he would need all 3(!) sub weapons just to reach it if they're water pot right?
It does buff the person who has it equipped. It stacks for each member that has it so whales can get all allies +28%+28% which will outpace a 50% buff from level 7 PATK but obviously those stack as well. It'll be interesting to see how this affects builds.

don't think so, Firaga / curaga are tied to weapon abilities rather than materia, materia tier spells just go from Fire -> Fira as a example
Tower updates were obvious since the Cloud/Glenn costume backgrounds show the tower. Also because there's not long left before the first Jenova fight in VII's story, and this first tower is clearly going to end with a Jenova fight.
I forgot I had this downloaded and decided to try replaying it. I forgot how bad square Enix mobile games are with explanations and bombarding players with multiple modes and currencies. What am I in for and what should I aim for on banner?
first try to complete the story modes to spread xp between characters, afterwards go do the event or missions that you need to do once for gems,
As for banners you can pull on the new Cloud and Gleen outfit banners and try to at least get one outfit, choose whichever you like,
There's also free draws going on so take advantage of that

Am I missing something? Where is stage 22-24 of the new event stages? It skips from 21-25, and I'm assuming a free daily stage for the new event currency is in one of those stages.
What am I missing about the EX fight for the barret weapon drop. Am I supposed to drain the bar before he does his one shot attack? Because after tinkering Cloud who he literally always targets, I'm pretty sure I drain it in time and he still does his stupid attack and wipes the party.
These battle power recommendations stopped being remotely accurate for EX fights a while ago too.
For the half anni- they should have just added the First Soldier BR as it was when it shut down as a game mode. They really wouldn't have even had to change the seasonal story much

Sometimes he does his regeneration ability, and sometimes he does his aoe attack. They don’t seem to be consistent, does he do abilities based off how much damage you’ve done to him?
What do we think of the side story? I personally find it pretty neat, especially now that everyone is gathered together. Cloud’s reaction to seeing Sephiroth was more subdued than I was expecting, and I found it funny they attempted to weave the shutdown of First Soldier into it.

So I've finished with Rebirth and it's worth mentioning that all the leaks and spoilers about Glenn that were getting tossed around were both incomplete and wrong. My policy is every weapon to 70, useful weapons to 80, premium weapons that go to OB6 get 90 and I guess now OB10 weapons get 120. My only OB10 is Prime Number because I remove things from the wishlist as they hit OB6 and Prime Number just kept coming to me for whatever reason. It's a very conservative policy, I have a shit ton of myrhril but I can't stand to waste a premium material so here we are. Black Whisker and Radiant Edge are almost OB10 so they'll probably get 120 as soon as more material comes around
I don't know why so many people think there's an element, there is definitely not one displayed. His beginning animation flare is exactly like Zack's, but Zach is clearly full of fire, Sephiroth has nothing.
Somehow people haven't realised that all of the half anniversary banners are livestream based. Even with all attack animations featuring the lifestream, every outfit and weapon featuring the lifestream colour, the names of which have the word stream in them and the wallpapers having lifestream flowing around them.

I can see that, I can also see it being lightning because of the electrical infetterance in the background. However the other weapons have an element so obviously prominently displayed and Sephiroth just does. The fact that it's at the very least very questionable makes non-elemental the most likely.
The only question is wether it will be just big damage like guide gloves, 5 atb with self-buff like Zack's new weapon or utility like twinkling star with possibly the opposite debuffs or even a sunbrella equivalent.

I hope that Seph sword really is a non-elemental because I desperately need a high OB one, and I love taking that homosexual into dungeons because of his kuja sword even though I finally beat it by swapping him out for Zack with his new weapon and switched back to Tifa as healer with her debuff gloves. It is nice to have 6 highly usable characters in hard content thoughever.
Yea, I almost always put off all time limited shit till the last minute. Non-elemental is clearly the best "element" though. There should always be one DPS in your party with a top tier non-elemental weapon in dungeons.
At least we know they come back around again eventually. No loss of rewards, just delayed if you miss any and next time it'll be much easier due to natural gacha power growth over time.
I can't be assed about score autism. O get my 1.2 mil S+ and I'm good. Only rank 435 as of like 2 hours ago even with a great Wind team build but I went for the easiest route. As long as I stay in top 500 whatevs.
I don't feel like the amount per tier is worth that much effort. I stopped synthesizing months ago, just letting them build up and also tired of so many duds. But I have good enough stat sticks regardless. I am betting on a revamp to the system eventually or at least a limited time boost or something.

Yes, asterisk. They will be wishlistable on future "limit break" banners specifically so expect them to be gone for a little while, but you can eventually wishlist them unlike crossover weapons

Wasn't it said that that they will come back in "limit break" banners? That will be a long time until then, as in, outdated by the time it comes back around again.
The only really good overall setup is Glenn, but it's Glenn. Now tell me why his Ultimatic only has 620% attack at OB2, while Cloud's old ass Zidane sword is 650% with no overboost(780% with 1). Zack's newest non elemental is I believe 700% no OB and 840% with one(plus self-buff +1atb).
They're doing a good job of making every choice feel cucked. I would have went for Glenn's water outfit if his non-elemental was within range of the other good ones.
Try to get at least one copy of each weapon, that way you can use weapon parts to upgrade it down the road and also select them for the weekly farming parts quest.
Glenn makes more sense if you already have an ice arcanum, especially Tifa's. It doesn't hurt to build First Shit team up instead of not much increase to Cloud assuming he is a main like he is for most people.

first of all, it's 1170% at OB10. at ob0 it's 650% damage. for reference, shinra blade model 1 at 0b6 does 780% and it's wishlistable. so even if you do 2 pages, ob2 protector's blade will be pretty much the same thing except for the meme aoe. and that said, non-elemental mag is useless except for a specific build against bahamut, so it's shit regardless. >With Splash damage

A level 5 summon with maxed elemental potency and an arcanum will do roughly the same damage as a level 9 LB with maxed physical potency, but the physical potency will also boost the sumnmon and push it higher. It is easier and more practical to squeeze the optimal performance out of an LB, but summons aren't powercrept >Zack's Fire sword is mid
The previous Fire Arcanum weapon does 580 at OB1. Zacks does the same 580 unconditionally at OB1 and pushes to 696 while healed. Literally a straight upgrade.
For whales, no question yes. For just doing a page or two and getting out the opinion is fairly split. It really comes from a place of magic weapons not having good shit to put in your 3 second page slots, especially building a team around it like the new R abilities want so it becomes a question of future investment vs right now impact

Then everything leftover into the best DPS you can do. It's s fairly strict gear check, so if you spread yourself thin it can be next to impossible, but the fight is actually super straightforward when you have what you need. Remember that you can cast MDEF up before Flare breath, but when he's gonna megaflare wait until he debuffs you then get MDEF
It is slightly more specific than that. The MDEF boost can only be done with bandaged sword or Sleek Collar at OB0, and Core Defender can do it at OB6+. CD's cast is slightly too long to cram the needed 3 in the opening, even at high OB Myhtril Rod and Harcore Squad can't do it because of the 5 ATB requirement.
You're right that there are some asterisks on it but there's too many variable to say it can only be done X number of ways. I actually did it with Core defeder at like OB4 because I had high MDEF stats and good MATK down. There's a little mixing and matching to be done

Yeah, they're limiting these weapons to future Limit Break banners because of the elemental potency on them. The new powerful ability will be back on the upcoming regular banner.
I dunno. I don't have enough crystals to pull deep on these limited weapons. Worse than fomo is going broke by pulling short and having meta weapons that aren't strong enough to be meta.
I don’t think these Limit Break banner weapons are limited. I think these special banners are going to be a regular occurrence, they just won’t be a part of the normal summoning pool.
There's a whole formula for it if you want to get really granular but broadly, 3 points in a given stat will mitigate 1% of incoming damage. Worth noting though that weapons like Bandaged Sword don't mitigate incoming damage, they multiply your DEF number. So with >No MDEF boost with OB0 Bandaged sword mitigates about 17% of incoming damage before the modifier for attack/defence stance >150 MDEF with no sword also about 17% >Both together you mitigate 41% of incoming damage, again before switching to defense mode
Such is life. Then you finally get a 5* materia with shit stats or enhance it and get +30hp while patk/matk remains static.
At least is still easier than finding a B+ Chocobo.

that said, at this point it's clear that the only banners worth pulling are the limit-break ones (and wishlisting only limit break weapons) and the crossover ones
I caved and spent some of my items I was hoarding like memory vouchers and weapon parts to push my team up and got a clear against EX1 but it was fairly narrow. I have to image EX2 will take me at least pushing all my shit to level 110, so it'll be a while yet. I haven't even beaten the double summon on hard yet because I'm a fricking scrub.
I pulled on Seph till OB4 because I knew I had enough to overboost him 2 more times with weapon parts and he is now substantially stronger than any of my other characters and I haven't even invested in him as much as other characters and I still haven't used his weapon parts because I'm debating whether I should go for 3 more stamps to get his outfit since I already have his kuja outfit. That to me is worth it if you never went for a top tier non-elemental. Cloud is worth it if you don't have an ice outfit but his sword is still high tier. I just feel like Sephiroth's is the most important to OB6 out of all the weapons, I'm fine with the rest only having 0-2 OB.
But for real, OB6 or more non-elemental Seph with kuja weapon on offhand will make him tippy top tier in dungeons. Of course this is the perspective of a completely f2p but day one player.
Shit, I'll say it's still worth it if you have another high OB top tier non-elemental. I think we're getting to the point where at least two of your party should have a good non-elemental equipped.

Yea apparently it was the theater. My friend who went with me went to the dub yesterday at a theater downtown and he said the sound was what you would expect. I've had a really decent time with co-oping since the cross-over event started. I've found people rather quickly. A few times I found people who would repeat the fight with me for quite a while. I even ran across people using their summons and limit breaks with me. I dunno. A lot better than co-op has been before.

I actually like the ouitfit. The buff/debuff duration is nice to run with Black Whisker or Twinkling star. It'll really depend on your team comp though I guess. Not as needed if you have a more dedicated PDEF down person.

I was wrong. I mistook the event coins for co-op medals. But it's strange because it still feels a lot faster. Maybe I'm just doing co-op more than normal.
Just for the meme of using the three characters from the co-op screen, I've been using a team of Glenn/Zack/Cloud and honestly it works pretty well. Glenn kinda just shows up and gets given generic tasks like sigil breaking but it works. It's actually pushed me to try out some alternate strategies too. Turns out in La'paina Very Hard, 3 of the 5 bosses can be stunned so I gave Cloud Crystal Sword for healing and had him spam Organics in between and had a grand old time with it.

Like I enjoy the rest of FF7, I have the original through Rebirth but the only thing that brought me around to gacha was the idea of embracing the legacy of a shooter game I genuinely loved. Also, again, I have the OG, I have CC. Rather than playing those in a version that is both padded and abridged, I am most interested in the new stuff. I’m not. What would the requirements even be for the uncap? You already need 30 Mythril Ore which only just got added to the co-op exchange for level 90, you would probably need about 50 or so just to get to level 100.
Mythril ore + Summon memories, would be a good use of them since i already capped the elemental trio and there no further uses for them, too much currency bloats the game with unnecessary clutter imo as other gachas do

God, the battle against the Knight is trivially easy with the PATK buff. My build is far from optimal, and I’m managing roughly 25K per Ice Stream. I would go even harder on the banner, but I know there’s more coming for Zack and Seph.
I'm in a similar position. I got Glenn's shit, but not Cloud's because I already have a built Ice Sephiroth and I need to have crystals on hand in case they give Seph his 1300% weapon or something. Also the Zack stuff just looks so cool. Excited to see how his sword looks in detail because the chibi for it got me hyped

It does buff the person who has it equipped. It stacks for each member that has it so whales can get all allies +28%+28% which will outpace a 50% buff from level 7 PATK but obviously those stack as well. It'll be interesting to see how this affects builds.

don't think so, Firaga / curaga are tied to weapon abilities rather than materia, materia tier spells just go from Fire -> Fira as a example

What do we think of the side story? I personally find it pretty neat, especially now that everyone is gathered together. Cloud’s reaction to seeing Sephiroth was more subdued than I was expecting, and I found it funny they attempted to weave the shutdown of First Soldier into it.

My only OB10 is Prime Number because I remove things from the wishlist as they hit OB6 and Prime Number just kept coming to me for whatever reason. It's a very conservative policy, I have a shit ton of myrhril but I can't stand to waste a premium material so here we are. Black Whisker and Radiant Edge are almost OB10 so they'll probably get 120 as soon as more material comes around

I don't know why so many people think there's an element, there is definitely not one displayed. His beginning animation flare is exactly like Zack's, but Zach is clearly full of fire, Sephiroth has nothing.
Somehow people haven't realised that all of the half anniversary banners are livestream based. Yea, I almost always put off all time limited shit till the last minute. Non-elemental is clearly the best "element" though. There should always be one DPS in your party with a top tier non-elemental weapon in dungeons.

Yes, asterisk. They will be wishlistable on future "limit break" banners specifically so expect them to be gone for a little while, but you can eventually wishlist them unlike crossover weapons

The only really good overall setup is Glenn, but it's Glenn. Now tell me why his Ultimatic only has 620% attack at OB2, while Cloud's old ass Zidane sword is 650% with no overboost(780% with 1). Zack's newest non elemental is I believe 700% no OB and 840% with one(plus self-buff +1atb).
They're doing a good job of making every choice feel cucked. I would have went for Glenn's water outfit if his non-elemental was within range of the other good ones.

Try to get at least one copy of each weapon, that way you can use weapon parts to upgrade it down the road and also select them for the weekly farming parts quest.

Glenn makes more sense if you already have an ice arcanum, especially Tifa's. It doesn't hurt to build First Shit team up instead of not much increase to Cloud assuming he is a main like he is for most people.

first of all, it's 1170% at OB10. at ob0 it's 650% damage. for reference, shinra blade model 1 at 0b6 does 780% and it's wishlistable. so even if you do 2 pages, ob2 protector's blade will be pretty much the same thing except for the meme aoe. and that said, non-elemental mag is useless except for a specific build against bahamut, so it's shit regardless.

+~20% mag is technically good, but consider that you need to bring it at 120 and that the third person is usually a healer. the only fight that required 2 magic dps was the hell-house 1, but even there it had fire/ice weakness so you wouldn't put it in the first slot anyway

yeah, there are so many dungeons/fights that require you to use both summons.... expecially now that limit break do more damage anyway....
also his sword does 576% mag fire at ob0 (above 70% hp but whatever) which not only is pretty mid, but zack has only 1 mag potency weapon that you'd have to put in the second slot (which is also debuff weapon...) so you can forget about mag pot 7 unless you fill up all the 3 secondary slots. literally a scam build.

It's also how you get the most out of Bahamut. Crisis Dungeons, especially with a summon charge item allow you to just nuke an annoying target like poison dragon

A level 5 summon with maxed elemental potency and an arcanum will do roughly the same damage as a level 9 LB with maxed physical potency, but the physical potency will also boost the sumnmon and push it higher. It is easier and more practical to squeeze the optimal performance out of an LB, but summons aren't powercrept

For whales, no question yes. For just doing a page or two and getting out the opinion is fairly split. It really comes from a place of magic weapons not having good shit to put in your 3 second page slots, especially building a team around it like the new R abilities want so it becomes a question of future investment vs right now impact

The checklist of what you will need
>At least 8500 HP on all characters
>An AoE Heal that can cover at least 2k HP per cast.

>PDEF up, mid single target is fine

Then everything leftover into the best DPS you can do. It's s fairly strict gear check, so if you spread yourself thin it can be next to impossible, but the fight is actually super straightforward when you have what you need. Remember that you can cast MDEF up before Flare breath, but when he's gonna megaflare wait until he debuffs you then get MDEF

It is slightly more specific than that. The MDEF boost can only be done with bandaged sword or Sleek Collar at OB0, and Core Defender can do it at OB6+. CD's cast is slightly too long to cram the needed 3 in the opening, even at high OB Myhtril Rod and Harcore Squad can't do it because of the 5 ATB requirement.
You're right that there are some asterisks on it but there's too many variable to say it can only be done X number of ways. I actually did it with Core defeder at like OB4 because I had high MDEF stats and good MATK down. There's a little mixing and matching to be done

Yeah, they're limiting these weapons to future Limit Break banners because of the elemental potency on them. The new powerful ability will be back on the upcoming regular banner.

considering that PDEF/MDEF works different than other stats, i think it's like 1 point = 1% damage reduction
There's a whole formula for it if you want to get really granular but broadly, 3 points in a given stat will mitigate 1% of incoming damage. Worth noting though that weapons like Bandaged Sword don't mitigate incoming damage, they multiply your DEF number. So with

>150 MDEF with no sword also about 17%
>Both together you mitigate 41% of incoming damage, again before switching to defense mode

I pulled on Seph till OB4 because I knew I had enough to overboost him 2 more times with weapon parts and he is now substantially stronger than any of my other characters and I haven't even invested in him as much as other characters and I still haven't used his weapon parts because I'm debating whether I should go for 3 more stamps to get his outfit since I already have his kuja outfit. That to me is worth it if you never went for a top tier non-elemental. Cloud is worth it if you don't have an ice outfit but his sword is still high tier. I just feel like Sephiroth's is the most important to OB6 out of all the weapons, I'm fine with the rest only having 0-2 OB.
But for real, OB6 or more non-elemental Seph with kuja weapon on offhand will make him tippy top tier in dungeons. Of course this is the perspective of a completely f2p but day one player.
Shit, I'll say it's still worth it if you have another high OB top tier non-elemental. I think we're getting to the point where at least two of your party should have a good non-elemental equipped.
