That's a case with a lot of Japanese people in general. They think everything over the age of 25 is old because that's around the time you're supposed to finish university and enter the workforce
Then around 23-24 they realize they're still young, and old becomes 30.
Then they hit 30 and realize no, old or closer to 40.

At this point I'm just prepared for utter shit writing regarding the "changes". Frankly I'm not even playing for the story anymore since whatever they do will be inferior to the original plot.

However, the characterization and look of AVALANCHE is top tier. The combat while not *better* per se, is still very fun and leagues above most ARPGs. Plus the graphics are eyegasmic. I cant wait to see all the locations.

Yeah I expect Zack is going to be following a different trail than just trying to meet up with Avalanche. He might not even be able to. But I expect the cliffhanger of part 2 might be the reveal of Zack to the current party

I also think the box art is kinda garbage, it should've been the full party. But from what we have seen the box art is more about Sephiroth dividing the future of these characters than anything else, nomura himself said it. Something that will matter at the end of it.

Well AC is a movie of Cloud grieving and wanting forgiveness over Aerith's death. Remake's sephiroth is also blatantly suspicious. I think Rebirth will just straight up say he's a future sephiroth, that's why there are screenings of AC.

Well yeah if you exclude the OG game, then CC is arguably their most successful endeavor. I say arguably because I don't know how well AC did in theaters and how much profit the DVDs and Blu-rays raked in.
