Are you seriously talking about retcons in a thread about a Compilation sequel with time travel and a Zack that's alive? A Zach that starred his own retconned game that was remastered like two years ago? Are you moronic?
Just don't give me any of that retconned shit from the compilation where completely new villians get introduced. The retconned stuff in FF7 remake was actually pretty tolerable in retrospect.
They subvert out subverted expectations and kill her anyway. Then they reveal she actually never died and she spiritually became the spiritual being of Terra/Earth.
Am I the only one that's kinda scared that the new dual tech/combo thingy will be OP as shit? They're usable without the use of ATB. Why wouldn't anyone just spam that shit?
I imagine the game will disappoint gameplay-wise. The first had the advantage of being linear and the devs having control of which characters and materia you had. The freedom of Rebirth will ruin that. They have already given up on balancing with the new "dynamic difficulty" option.
Even then the game was kinda strange. I mean it's virtually indistinguishable from ATB in that you're just spamming attack(s) until you need to heal. It's just presented in a more cinematic style, so to speak. You can still lose by AFKing without pausing or having a stroke, but otherwise there's almost nothing to do. The game either tells you how to defeat bosses or you just use asses, and the latter is pretty much optional.
The only fights that were kinda worthwhile were optional, but that's even worse because the story/context for the side content is fricking awful, and even then it's not like it's the best Action game ever. It's just mediocre with a lot of visual effects and great music, but the core mechanics were nothing to write home about. Reminded me a lot of the combat you find in games like Rune Factory or Harvestella, just obviously with 10x the budget and no other gameplay other than the repetitive combat.
I really do not understand why Square in 40 years has never considered hiring a game designer, cause damn is this franchise wasted potential.
FF has been style over substance ever since the success of FF7. Being the big new 3D game worked great there, but their pursuit of graphics has bit them in the rear after X.
i actually made a $200 bet with someone i know that they will not kill aerith this time and if they do, she will be resurrected.
there is NO WAY they are going to commit and kill her.
i feel so confident about this.
those 200 bucks are mine.
>Cloud kills Aerith >Zack revived by Holy and becomes the main protagonist
Only thing I can pray for is more screentime for Reeve and Rufus, with some Cid tossed in for continuity's sake. The Shinra Space Program is the best subplot. Frick Sephiroth. Frick Jenova. Frick The Planet.
Kill tifa instead of aerith, add zack and/ or flippy bike frick to the party, actually reveal that there's FOUR sephiroths (only to "Lost" players by presenting several more mysteries that may or may not ever be resolved), jenova never gets killed off, and EVEN. MORE. TIMEGHOSTS
Come one, come all, for Mr Nomura's Wild Ride™!!
Isn't that what Nibelheim was for? What about Sector 7? I'm all for tragedy, but it kinda seemed like beating a dead horse by that point. The context is weird too, because Sephiroth is obsessed with Meteor and whatnot, but he waits to kill Aerith AFTER trying to mindfrick Cloud into doing it, knowing full well Holy was presumably the only thing that could stop his ultimate goal. So is Sephiroth just the Joker, and Cloud is his Batman? Is his obsession with Jenova just an excuse? or is he just whatever the plot needs him to be whenever it's convenient?
I don't get it.
Losing a beloved party member was clearly the biggest tragedy. Obviously if you hated aerith or didn't use her, you didn't get to experience that feeling, but that was the games intention
I didn't hate Aerith, I just didn't think the scene or context for it was executed well at all.
That anon is wrong, her death was never necessary. That's what makes it even sadder. Her death is a true tragedy and not a type of noble sacrifice.
I haven't played the game in a decade, was it ever explained why she leaves the party to go alone, or is she just moronic?
Obviously you don't want Cloud with you after the events at the Temple, but the party splits up very often during the story, so why not bring anybody else? The only way it makes sense is if she knew it was likely a one-way trip, I.E. a noble sacrifice, so she didn't want to endanger the party, which itself is ironic because she is assuming at that point that only she has the power to prevent Meteor, so if she dies everybody else does too, including the party she neglected to bring along.
So basically this story is moronic. Not gettin' misty-eyed over characters intentionally acting stupid just so the plot can happen. Lookin' at you, Sephiroth. I love when the antagonist has to monologue his devious plans to the protagonists because the writers don't know how to naturally allow the events to unfold.
I liked her.
Then she died.
Now I'm sad.
It's that simple.

Okay but you're not the story lol, it's not a self-insert situation. I like Macbeth, it's sad to see him fall, but I don't ignore Macduff's motivations for wanting to kill his ass, nor would I rewrite the tragedy to deny his personal justice. The point being the death and events leading up to it makes no fricking sense and only serves to undermine every major player's character as it was built up, including Sephiroth, although I guess the excuse there is he's just insane. >tl;dr

For all we know Sephiroth had every opportunity to kill Aerith and waited until Cloud arrived. This ruins his threat of Meteor and ultimate goal to travel the stars since he's evidently more interested in Cloud than he is preventing Holy.
I'll admit it's not a huge blow. Like I said Sephiroth's excuse is he's just insane, and Cloud impacts his God complex, so it's not a huge deal. Just makes the scene seem funny when you think of a piece of Jenova just chilling in the rafters waiting for the party to show up, if ever.

He wants to both prevent Holy and do as much damage to Cloud by him seeing Aerith get killed, making him feel like a puppet right before and just unable to do anything to save her.

Took like twenty seconds to think of that.
>For all we know Sephiroth had every opportunity to kill Aerith and waited until Cloud arrived.
Where did you take this from. Can you afirm it 100%?
Well, considering he's already at the Capital by the time the party arrives and the knowledge he had gained from the Lifestream regarding the Cetra and Holy, I'd say it's a reasonable assumption that he followed Aerith.

I feel like people disconsider the possibility of Sephiroth simply not knowing the full range of what the white materia can do. He probably believed that by killing her when Cloud arrives it would be enough to stop it and fullfil his plan to break Cloud.
Aerith herself didnt know what it could do until she arrived in that random ancient library that Cloud finds later.
The truth is that for Sephiroth to derail the whole plan to save the world he just needs to steal/destroy the white materia from Aerith this time.

>The truth is that for Sephiroth to derail the whole plan to save the world he just needs to steal/destroy the white materia from Aerith this time.
Remake will play with these things for sure. The whole way Sephiroth acts will be different, his objectives will also be different. Because as we know he needs Cloud to do something else.

>I feel like people disconsider the possibility of Sephiroth simply not knowing the full range of what the white materia can do
I have actually thought about this before, but I don't really consider it an optional because of all the information he had derived from his time in the Lifestream. He knew everything about the Cetra, Meteor, Jenova, The Lifestream itself and its relation to The Planet. Why would he somehow not know about Holy's potential? It may be true, but it just seems too convenient in the face of everything else.
seeing someone die infront of you is different from just seeing the corpse. Also gamewise that just doesn't work you autist. The point was seeing aerith get killed. ffs >extremely risky plan that probably doesn't work
vs
kill cetra and break cloud 100%
>seeing someone die infront of you is different from just seeing the corpse
Well sure, that's why I laid out the plan to create a Clone Aerith. I specifically factored this in that you get the psychological damage and reduce the risk. The risky part is breaking Cloud, which is not explicitly wholly necessary to Sephiroth's long-term goal. Breaking Cloud is more of an ego project that might come in handy later, like after Meteor, but if the latter never happens you get nothing. Sephiroth seems kinda dumb, along with Aerith.

Holy was completely useless so long as Sephrioth was alive to restrain it so maybe he didn't give two fricks about Aerith's plan and was just going for max damage on Cloud.

The characters act stupid when the plot requires it, including Sephiroth. That undermines their characterization up to that point, because otherwise they're not really all that dumb, just uninformed. In this case all the information is laid bare and they act stupid regardless.

Protect her on the way to the Capital? Protect her from Sephiroth? Like I mentioned, from her perspective if she dies, everybody does. So the needless endangerment makes no sense, except if the goal of the scene was actually just shock value.

Sephiroth wasn't at the Forgotten Capital. Anon's point was that The Planet "protected her from danger and guided her to the Capital" danger being shit like Sephiroth Clones, which is what kills Aerith. I specifically said "What if a dozen Clones showed up at the entrance" and he just said "dude The Planet will protect her lmao" but then it doesn't... I don't get it.

Most of the time you see an anon trying to be a smartass about FF7's story they are usually moronic. Not saying that people cant have issues or criticism, there is a clear space for it. But that dude even tried to use Macbeth as example while creating some arguments that make no sense.
Because apparently having things outside your control in a story undermines your characters.
Anonymous
>that dude even tried to use Macbeth as example
That other dude had used the term Tragedy as a purpose for the scene in question. Macbeth is one of the most famous Tragedies in written history. That's why I used it as an example.
She was trying to summon holy to save the world from meteor that sephiroth was going to summon after cloud gave him the black materia he needed, but she couldn’t do it unless she was a part of the life stream, so she let herself be killed.
I would kinda like it. It is like aerith's death was shocking and sad while cloud's death is revolting current year shit that will make me skip all cutscenes when I play the game cause story doesn't matter anymore. Both are memorable.
Rebirth will have better graphics than Remake, youtube compresses smaller details so you can't notice yet.
Good atmosphere, characters.
Combat is gonna be less impactful than in FF16, in 16 you can feel that sometimes you hit hard, the fighting is just designed better in 16
FFXV looks so boring we don't know what else to say...
A good texture of a road and generic grass doesn't look very good.
Rebirth is gonna have so much visual variety plus improved lighting and textures... We're ready for our disc to come in
>against all odds, aerith dies again >rest of the game is teaming up with the time jannies to go back in time over and over to save her life >each attempt fails >not sure how to succeed >finally figure out a plan >PART 3
KINO AS FRICK
I mean they've already gone so far as to outright state that The Planet knows how the original timeline unfolds and is actively working to alter it. It may be dumb as frick, but this is the story, so Aerith-616 isn't that far of a leap.
Btw have you seen Loki S2? Shit was so cash lmao. Remember to like and sub.
Not really. They're just weird Manson freaks who claim they can talk to weeds. I personally don't believe anything they've said, particularly in regards to Jenova.
Sephiroth won't try to kill Aerith
Jannies will possess Cloud to kill Aerith (similar to what JENOVA did in the original) >Activating Combat Mode
final fight will be Zack (player) vs Cloud
Cloud dies
Red will probably bite his dick off and Barret will laugh and make a quip about how he'll have to experiment on himself to get a new wiener. Death is so final, torture is long term.
>This scene is great but i wonder how they will justify barret not shooting this mf right there.
All the places we visit will be heavily recontextualized to the party hiding themselves from Shinra.
So i wonder if we'll see a version where Hojo will be there but we'll hide the party for him to not see us.
It's even funnier in the Nibel Reactor where they have a big neon JENOVA in the room where she's supposedly hidden in.
Now that I think about it, why is she even there? Seems irresponsible for Shinra to just leave an alien body inside a reactor in the middle of nowhere when they don't even have staff there to supervise it.
Hojo definitely wanted to have Sephiroth finding her there.
And Nibel itself always felt like a place that was the center of operations for Shinra. The nibel manor...
Makes more sense to do experiments with Jenova in a city in the middle of nowhere than doing in Midgar where you could annihilate the whole city.
Nibel is the right choice, the fact they were able to rebuild the town and fill with actors proves that even harder.
That would make some sense if Nibel Manor wasn't abandoned. The company that ruled the world can't afford to staff some men to look after the super alien?
Like, at some point they had their own jenova, Sephiroth. He has her DNA. It is not like they needed her to take samples all the time.
The truth is that everything about her location there is kinda vague because we dont know if she was put there or she was there for a long time.
The most we can infer is that Hojo definitely knew what he was doing by sending Sephiroth there.

I'm just wondering if they'll try to rationalize it. They did with some stuff in Remake, like Jenova having her own lab area instead of just being in a fridge in the corner.

In Ever Crisis Sephiroth talks how he has bad memories and feels bad every time he enters in the Shinra manor. He has memories of Hojo hurting him there.
So in a certain period of time the Sephiroth was raised or at least experimented in the Shinra manor. Nibelheim.

It makes sense because the first thing Sephiroth does when he starts questioning the truth is go to the Shinra manor. So he knew the place very well.
If Jenova didn't get fricked up by the Cetra, would she have cared for Sephiroth as her progeny or disregard him and continue her mission? Would Hojo tried having sex with her female form?
Jenova only copies and deceives life in order to consume, we dont even have an idea if it has any sense of moral.
The most she did to the Cetra was copying their loved ones who already died in order to catch them off guard.
Frick the Aerith killscene, I'm just waiting for Red's scene in this engine. They better not frick it up, keep the goddamn Marlene-timejanny the frick away from it.
I'm wondering if we will have full scenes where Sephiroth will be together with the party saying weird shit to Cloud while we travel.
Full devil whispering in his ear.
The depiction of Cloud's mental degradation is one of the biggest details i want to see.
He already tried to kill 3 random people only in the first part. That guy will get really bad. We already saw a scene where he is in a closed room and starts pulling his sword to a Sephiroth illusion.
Only a matter of time until he hurts someone.
>I'm wondering if we will have full scenes where Sephiroth will be together with the party saying weird shit to Cloud while we travel. >Full devil whispering in his ear.
Connecting the whirwind maze with the temple of the ancients is what makes me go hmmm
how
The thing is that the whole manipulation that Sephiroth only does a lot later is being sprinkled earlier here. He will make Cloud doubt his party through the whole game instead of happening only at the northern crater; "i killed her, who is she"
And this will culminate at the temple of the ancients.
Never made a lot of sense to have the party with absolute schizo Cloud there so him being alone would be better. Would also enhance the despair.
Cloud himself, and characters like Barret, wouldnt let him stay with the party if he's that dangerous and unstable. Especially after a possible attack on Aerith.
[...]
Cloud himself, and characters like Barret, wouldnt let him stay with the party if he's that dangerous and unstable. Especially after a possible attack on Aerith.
They added a bodyguard synergy system. If it applies in the narrative, it's definitely when Cloud tries to kill Aerith, and the party members would try to shield Aerith from his attack.
The ability suggests the protection is from front. Then Sephiroth comes and hits with his Hell's Gate from behind. >Bodyguard (Aerith+Everyone)[skill]: Characters will teleport in front of Aerith, preventing her from getting attacked. >Hell's Gate (Sephiroth): Descend from the skies and impale an enemy.
It's Crisis Core all over again. You couldn’t save Zack no matter what buttons you mashed. You won’t be able to save Aerith no matter what buttons you mash. Their fates are intertwined in many ways.

I bet this is Nomura's idea for implementing game mechanic to characters & player's emotion just like Zack's DMW system.
>"i killed her, who is she"
This is Sephiroth talking about Tifa btw. In the JP trailer he literally says "I killed Tifa so who is she?"
He's actively trying to make Cloud distrust Tifa because only Tifa can actually break Sephiroth's control over Cloud.
I know. This time it is clear how Seph is trying to break all his bonds very hard. And if he doesnt want to kill Tifa, he will at least do everything to make Cloud distrust or get separated from her. Cloud's situation will be very very worse than the OG game because Sephiroth is fixing all his failures.
So far it's remake with added subplot and slight reinterpretation. Kinda like HGSS and ORAS are to the original games. BDSP is awfully braindead 1:1 remake.
Because those of us that dislike this shit tend to skip these threads, so you'll only ever be talking with the people that love FFVII having been turned into Kingdom Hearts

Being the big new 3D game worked great there, but their pursuit of graphics has bit them in the rear after X.
>just spam attack on any char till you need a heal
I don't think you are playing correctly. Post some hard mode clears?
Because you need to spam ATB first
i actually made a $200 bet with someone i know that they will not kill aerith this time and if they do, she will be resurrected.
there is NO WAY they are going to commit and kill her.
i feel so confident about this.
those 200 bucks are mine.
what counts as resurrected, if she wakes up in another timeline that counts? or does she need to come back to the main one
>Cloud kills Aerith
>Zack revived by Holy and becomes the main protagonist
Jenova did nothing wrong.
Unironically have no idea, they can do anything. That scene will happen tho. But if it will be real or even really kill her 100%, i dont know.
Her dying would subvert my expectations at this point.
What was even the point of killing Aerith in the original game?
Tragedy
The point being the death and events leading up to it makes no fricking sense and only serves to undermine every major player's character as it was built up, including Sephiroth, although I guess the excuse there is he's just insane.
>tl;dr
FF7 sucks donkey balls. Frick me if I haven't jerk offd to it a lot though.
alright nitendo troony, enough of your shitposting
Incredible how you said how it makes no sense and serves to undermine the major player character because???? What a fricking schizo
The villain killing a main character apparently undermines him lmao
Some anons just say things. It is texts on top of texts with sentences that dont mean shit.
>Kill Aerith immediately
>Create a puppet Aerith
>Attempt to mindfrick Cloud into killing what he thinks is Aerith
>If successful, you get the psychological damage and even get to double down on it by revealing he was too late to begin with
>If failure, Holy was prevented and you still get to throw Aerith's corpse infront of Cloud
Took like twenty seconds to think of that.
Well, considering he's already at the Capital by the time the party arrives and the knowledge he had gained from the Lifestream regarding the Cetra and Holy, I'd say it's a reasonable assumption that he followed Aerith.
It may be true, but it just seems too convenient in the face of everything else.
>seeing someone die infront of you is different from just seeing the corpse
Well sure, that's why I laid out the plan to create a Clone Aerith. I specifically factored this in that you get the psychological damage and reduce the risk. The risky part is breaking Cloud, which is not explicitly wholly necessary to Sephiroth's long-term goal. Breaking Cloud is more of an ego project that might come in handy later, like after Meteor, but if the latter never happens you get nothing. Sephiroth seems kinda dumb, along with Aerith.
Holy was completely useless so long as Sephrioth was alive to restrain it so maybe he didn't give two fricks about Aerith's plan and was just going for max damage on Cloud.
seeing someone die infront of you is different from just seeing the corpse. Also gamewise that just doesn't work you autist. The point was seeing aerith get killed. ffs
>extremely risky plan that probably doesn't work
vs
kill cetra and break cloud 100%
>For all we know Sephiroth had every opportunity to kill Aerith and waited until Cloud arrived.
Where did you take this from. Can you afirm it 100%?
You forget the part where Sephiroth is fricking dead so he needs Cloud to be broken. Killing Aerith in front of him isnt just being evil, it is part of his plan to take control of his psyche.
tbf every FF villain is insane, except maybe Ardyn.
To be fair Sephiroth burning everything after discovering he's a child of a "god" and that was manipulated through his whole life makes sense.
There are random people irl who have a god complex just because they have money. Now imagine if they believed they are the chosen one.
If EC is a good example, Remake will go even harder and focus a lot more in the whole emotional damage that Sephiroth went through his whole life. It is just Hojo fricking with his feelings.
Hamaguchi did say in the last interview how the downfall of Sephiroth will be even more tragic this time.
Holy Penis. What's this from? They made her cute enough I understand Vincents oneitis for the first time.
see
>Obviously you don't want Cloud with you after the events at the Temple, but the party splits up very often during the story, so why not bring anybody else? The characters act stupid when the plot requires it, including Sephiroth. That undermines their characterization up to that point, because otherwise they're not really all that dumb, just uninformed. In this case all the information is laid bare and they act stupid regardless.
She was talking to the planet and it told her it was time to go to the forgotten capital.
The other party members can't do anything.
>The other party members can't do anything
Protect her on the way to the Capital? Protect her from Sephiroth? Like I mentioned, from her perspective if she dies, everybody does. So the needless endangerment makes no sense, except if the goal of the scene was actually just shock value.
She didn't need help getting to the capital, it's the cetras home, the planet guided her.
They can't protect her from Sephiroth. Only Cloud could maybe, but he is fricked in the head
Yeah I didn't really mean as guides. Bodyguards, y'know? You're right though, it's not like they had any real chance against the real Sephiroth, but they already knew about the Sephiroth Clones, which were real threats they could destroy. Not to mention that nasty encounter on the cargo ship.
What the frick is Aerith gonna do if a dozen clones just show up at the entrance to the Forgotten Capital lmao? I guess the writers forgot about that shit though, whatever.
your whole what if scenarios are moronic, simple answer is the planet made sure the path was safe for her and guided her there
So The Planet just threw the baby out with the bathwater after it was done with it? Why does the party even give a shit about this gay rock then?
Reboot the Shinra Space Program already. #FrickGaia.
what the frick are you talking about
Why. Didn't. The Planet. Protect. Aerith. From. Sephiroth. After. She. Prayed. For. Holy.
two possibilities:
1. she needed to control the lifestream against meteor and could only do that dead
2. The planet cant protect her from Sephiroth
Couldn't Ifalna or some other ancient Cetra do that? Wait, why would The Planet even create a failsafe that can't be used except from the Lifestream? The frick?
>The Planet can't protect her from Sephiroth
Sephiroth wasn't at the Forgotten Capital. Anon's point was that The Planet "protected her from danger and guided her to the Capital" danger being shit like Sephiroth Clones, which is what kills Aerith. I specifically said "What if a dozen Clones showed up at the entrance" and he just said "dude The Planet will protect her lmao" but then it doesn't... I don't get it.
No only aerith could since she is the one that activated holy. And I already explained your other point. Connect the dots
I think she expected to get there in secret before anyone could think to stop her but accidentally tipped her hand to Sephiroth by reaching out to Cloud in his dreams.
Listen here socrates, you have autism
That's not how the lifestream works bro lol
She cant just make a shield frame 1 with the sould of living beings.
Holy itself only activates in a really special case, which is the meteor.
Imagining Aerith conjuring Holy then becoming Shang Tsung.
Most of the time you see an anon trying to be a smartass about FF7's story they are usually moronic. Not saying that people cant have issues or criticism, there is a clear space for it. But that dude even tried to use Macbeth as example while creating some arguments that make no sense.
Because apparently having things outside your control in a story undermines your characters.
>that dude even tried to use Macbeth as example
That other dude had used the term Tragedy as a purpose for the scene in question. Macbeth is one of the most famous Tragedies in written history. That's why I used it as an example.
Is this how Remakegays justify the moronic new storyline to themselves
She was trying to summon holy to save the world from meteor that sephiroth was going to summon after cloud gave him the black materia he needed, but she couldn’t do it unless she was a part of the life stream, so she let herself be killed.
>she couldn’t do it unless she was a part of the life stream
What would she have done if Sephiroth had just kidnapped her instead?
That anon is wrong, her death was never necessary. That's what makes it even sadder. Her death is a true tragedy and not a type of noble sacrifice.
Cloud is dying. Everyone can see it coming a mile away and it was absurdly obvious three years ago when Remake released.
I would kinda like it. It is like aerith's death was shocking and sad while cloud's death is revolting current year shit that will make me skip all cutscenes when I play the game cause story doesn't matter anymore. Both are memorable.
Ok, no one cares homosexual
Rebirth will have better graphics than Remake, youtube compresses smaller details so you can't notice yet.
Good atmosphere, characters.
Combat is gonna be less impactful than in FF16, in 16 you can feel that sometimes you hit hard, the fighting is just designed better in 16
>youtube compresses smaller details so you can't notice
An example, this is Spider-man 2 in game VS youtube
Youtube max quality is blurrier than the game actually is.
Rebirth graphics are gonna be better than expected, PS5 bros
Still doesn't look as good as FFXV Royal
FFXV looks so boring we don't know what else to say...
A good texture of a road and generic grass doesn't look very good.
Rebirth is gonna have so much visual variety plus improved lighting and textures... We're ready for our disc to come in
Tbf, 16 is kinda designed to be an action game first while 7R is basically a JRPG with RTWP-like system.
>against all odds, aerith dies again
>rest of the game is teaming up with the time jannies to go back in time over and over to save her life
>each attempt fails
>not sure how to succeed
>finally figure out a plan
>PART 3
KINO AS FRICK
calm down Nomura
That's not kino. It's capeshit.
That is steins gate not capeshit
Make her either live or die
I am seeing theories that she will wake up in another timeline after dying in main. That's a shit copout
Aerith will survive and continue the cetra bloodline
Quit it with the antisemitism. That shit isn't cool post-October 7.
Not really. They're just weird Manson freaks who claim they can talk to weeds. I personally don't believe anything they've said, particularly in regards to Jenova.
Will they try to make her sympathetic?
They dont need to. She can be a person who just fricked up and felt guilt over her mistakes. But depends on what approach they will use with her.
How much does SE pay? I want in on this deal
SE made a somewhat smart move, people are debating what will happen, since the game isn't a 1:1 remake
That’s a pretty good answer, thanks, anon.
Sephiroth won't try to kill Aerith
Jannies will possess Cloud to kill Aerith (similar to what JENOVA did in the original)
>Activating Combat Mode
final fight will be Zack (player) vs Cloud
Cloud dies
>time jannies again
It got cut, didn't it?
This scene is great but i wonder how they will justify barret not shooting this mf right there.
Why Barret? Red, Aerith and Cloud all have stronger reasons to kill him.
Even more because he talked about reusing the skin and bones of Aerith's mom
hojo will probably say he has the entire town rigged to blow or some bs
Would be a good argument, make him be a joker type of "
>i'll blow up costa del sol if you dont let me do my thing here"
It is one of those scenes that works in a low poly game but doing in a realistic style turns it 10x harder to make sense.
Anyone: Please, dont make an scene. Too many people around
Why didn’t they just kill him here?
>build up hype that aerith wont die
>she still dies
expectations subverted
signed,
anon 2023
(include your reaction image in the screencap)
they'd better not remove this
he will push aerith to the ground and then party will stop him
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=ol5sjM4oVAQ
This scene gets me on every replay, so fricking funny.
Would you trust her, Ganker?
Did they really have to write JENOVA on her helmet? Were they afraid they'd forget it?
>Were they afraid they'd forget it?
YES.
Yes.
Don't think that hard about FF7's plot.
God Bless Santa Tifa
Nibelheim.
Really curious to see how the whole Nibelheim flashback will be framed. In both versions.
I'm going to be thinking Genesis is watching in the background the whole time
Also curious to see what they will do with him. Will he have a cameo? or be cut? who knows.
I better not see any fricking time jannies in rebirth. I just played through VIIr. What the frick kind of final act was that?
My expectations will be subverted when it turns out to be good.
This game will end with us not only losing Aerith, but also Cloud. But how this loss of Cloud will be depicted is the question.
We are already seeing things that only happen at the north crater and the whirlwind maze. So i agree with this take.
This is probably being done to create the scenario where only aerith and cloud will be in the temple. They will be totally alone.
She suffers fate worse than death - rape
Cloud himself, and characters like Barret, wouldnt let him stay with the party if he's that dangerous and unstable. Especially after a possible attack on Aerith.
Never made a lot of sense to have the party with absolute schizo Cloud there so him being alone would be better. Would also enhance the despair.
Cloud will kill her this time instead of almost doing it in the original game.
Thats what I was thinking also.
Why do people pretend to be okay with the time jannies after 15 years of buildup to the "remake"
Its a sequel not a remake. The "remake" "rebirth" "reunion" are all part of the story you low iq homosexual
The real low iq homosexual is you consooming this soulless garbage.
Nomurafans were mindbroken with FFXV/KH3, everyone else knows this is garbage
The game being good would subvert my expectations.
>original game from 1997 still has one of the most iconic stories in gaming to this day
>ten years from now, the original FF7 will remain a pivotal point in the history of video games while FF7R will be regarded as a worthless gimmick once the shock value wears off
Why did they do it bros?
Will he say it?
>Zack's subplot is his journey in the lifestream world
>Aerith dies
>Zack Aerith reunion in the lifestream
>Cloud is lost at the northern crater after he gives Sephiroth the black materia
>Tifa is gonna lose Cloud and part 3 will begin with her search for him

They have literally said the remake games will end with advent children movie. Shes dying bros.
Nice source, gay.

>“We are finally going to link up with Advent Children, that is going to be part of canon. The overall storyline, the developments, will not go wildly out in a way that will not add up to Advent Children in the end. I don’t think anyone wanted that, that’s not what we’re looking to create here.”
moron
she dies anyways
I'd honestly buy a PS5 and the game at full price if Square had the balls to kill off Cloud and replace him with Zack because of the fate interference from the previous game.
>comes out in Feb
>still no demo out
There won't be a demo. Not after shit got leaked.
