The 2nd song has a minute of greatness around the 4:30 mark but everything else is kind of awful so you can't just put it in a playlist of cool boss music, if the whole song was like that with only a tiny bit of downtime in the middle it would work way better
3rd one is kind of eh and very forgettable, needs some lyrics or something on a phase change because its way too sleepy for what looks like an extremely involved final bossfight that teleports you around the world

Meteion/Endsinger is basically suffering an instant loss scenario and thus starts singing your song of triumph during the second phase. She's channeling your suffering in the first phase and starts channeling your triumph in the second one because she's a psychic sponge.
There are a few crafting ones, but really they're all just flavors of macro repeaters. The other two don't exist, or if they do it's in some secret clubhouse discord where the dev and users hang out, and you're never going to be allowed in.

Garlean radios were fairly low quality and easily interrupted because they broadcast on ambient lightning aether in the air.
Loporrits have high quality satellite radio plus they also distributed some technology that lets people call the moon with their relationship advice. Moogles and linkpearls are now obsolete. Even funnier is that future stories will not be written with this in mind because there's no longer any attempt at coherency within the setting. We can already see that throughout the EW patch story.

If you get a group that can its Limit Cut mech semi-consistently, you pretty much have your clear, but finding such a group in PF will take effort >P10S is definitely harder than P6S, has a really hard mitigation/healing check for a second floor fight, and has quite a lot of rapid and precise positioning plus frequent body checks. >P11S seems almost easier than P10S, and is definitely less hard than P7S, and much less backloaded

I was actually surprised when the Sharlyans revealed that getting other people into the spaceship was part of their plan. I was 100% sure they wanted to KWAB off the planet and leave everyone else to die.
I thought Golbez was going to end up being the ascian Pashtarot. All the ascians' names are taken from the scions of light in FF12 lore. Each has a corresponding scion of darkness, or esper, and Pashtarot's is Zeromus.
To be fair, Lahabrea does use ice spells every time you fight him.

I have to wonder where exactly the light is going to come from though. Wasn't the light stopped? I think the aether in most of Norvrandt is just normal, balanced aether. There's no aether at all in the Empty aside from the small area we reclaimed during the Eden raids.
All I can think of is that the frozen wall of light is pure light-aspected aether crystal, and we find a way to unfreeze it and direct it at Zeromus.
Yeah it seems like they might have been following it more closely around ARR/HW, but he's clearly associated with fire in EW. And Hermes/Fandaniel is clearly associated with wind.
the entire empty is a layer of light aether frozen in crystal, the wall is just the wave that would have consumed everything but was interrupted by minfilia. the only gaps are norvrandt and the little oasis associated with the eden raid. apparently all the aether will slowly re-balance, growing out from the oasis, but it'll take a very long time.
Really? I must have misremembered. I was thinking they said it was dangerous to venture out into the empty because it was devoid of aether, but maybe they did say it was heavily light-aspected.

Yes, but if you complete Eden the original Sin eater releases all stored Aether and transforms the immediate part of the empty back to how it used to be and is now travelling the entire empty releasing aether and reverting it all back to life.
So as long as you're now in a part of the "empty" that has been treated after you complete Eden you will be fine.

The empty is "devoid of aether" in the same way the Antarctic is devoid of water. It is a desert because all the water is trapped frozen beneath your feet. Similarly, in the empty, you're literally standing on a giant ice cap of crystalized light aether. All the aether that was the normal planet has become light aether outsider Norvrandt. Since the defeat of Eden it is slowly changing back into other aether types and restoring the Empty (which is what we're doing in the oasis during the Eden raid) but that is going to take a very long time. Y'shtola's plan is essentially to open up a portal and throw light icebergs from the First into the Thirteenth to nullify the dark aether.

This. They don't need to make things mandatory, just insert and extra line of dialogue hinting that players who haven't done the content should go back and do it some time.
Everyone who has reached EW must have at least one of those role quests completed in order to get there, since they're a requirement to beat SHB. I could definitely see them skipping the requirements for all of them and having the one guy you do know introduce the rest to you if you didn't get around to do doing theirs yet. Cylva's quests could also probably have their requirements axed to just one instead of all of them too.
More concerning is Unulkalhai which requires you to complete Warring Triad, but given that the First has some time displacement shenanigans going on they could just pull the same trick they did on G'raha when SHB first released (when CT hadn't yet been made mandatory) and just have him go "oh, you helped me get here from the source, but I guess that must still be in the future for you".

I'm one of those who didn't do a single Hildebrand quest, so going all the way back to ARR until the latest patch just for the Relic weapon was...pain, absolute fricking pain.
While you could argue that the Manderville weapons are very convenient for raiding, they are still optional content.
Making optional content mandatory for mandatory content like MSQ is in another league though.
So let me guess in 6.5? We're going to go to the first and get Eden so we can go back to the Red Moon and fight Zeromus. Only to find out that was keikedori by notGolbez and then some anicent evil by Ultima's race shows up. And for the next expansion we'll have grown up Ryne and Gaia, along with Zero, and that garlean kid simp with Y'stonla, Estiean, and Vtra as our crew for the next expansion? Ryne will be a gnb so we have our tank.
I feel like 6.5 is too little to wrap up the Golbez story and introduce 7.0. We're going to defeat Zeromus but he escapes to our world and flies away to Meracydia where we give chase. Then Meracydia gets ditched just like Gyr Abania and we spend all of midgame in Dalmasca KINO before we return to Meracydia to wrap things up.
Because most people who play FFXIV from Ganker are just regular dudes, most are probably 25-30+ so know how to talk civil with one another. There is always some bait poster but you get used to ignoring it or filtering it out when it's posted, I don't even notice the bait spammers anymore.

You're correct but have it the opposite. It's a medley of the final bosses and struggles you've been through because it's supposed to be the epitome of overwhelming despair. All the trials and suffering throughout the game, because Endsinger is an amalgamation of despair. That's why Maker's Ruin breaks in in the second phase, because it IS you overwhelming that song of death the same way you triumphed over all of the misery and despair represented by the first song.

Uhh, I played through the quests. Garleans have radio and have had it since ARR. That's not the problem. The EDM nightclub rabbits mass producing satellite radios for the sake of a daily talk radio advice show and playing EDM music across the globe is the problem.

Garlean radios were fairly low quality and easily interrupted because they broadcast on ambient lightning aether in the air.
Loporrits have high quality satellite radio plus they also distributed some technology that lets people call the moon with their relationship advice. Moogles and linkpearls are now obsolete. Even funnier is that future stories will not be written with this in mind because there's no longer any attempt at coherency within the setting. We can already see that throughout the EW patch story.

I thought Golbez was going to end up being the ascian Pashtarot. All the ascians' names are taken from the scions of light in FF12 lore. Each has a corresponding scion of darkness, or esper, and Pashtarot's is Zeromus.

I have to wonder where exactly the light is going to come from though. Wasn't the light stopped? I think the aether in most of Norvrandt is just normal, balanced aether. There's no aether at all in the Empty aside from the small area we reclaimed during the Eden raids.
All I can think of is that the frozen wall of light is pure light-aspected aether crystal, and we find a way to unfreeze it and direct it at Zeromus.
Yeah it seems like they might have been following it more closely around ARR/HW, but he's clearly associated with fire in EW. And Hermes/Fandaniel is clearly associated with wind.
the entire empty is a layer of light aether frozen in crystal, the wall is just the wave that would have consumed everything but was interrupted by minfilia. the only gaps are norvrandt and the little oasis associated with the eden raid. apparently all the aether will slowly re-balance, growing out from the oasis, but it'll take a very long time.

I remember someone mentioning that exposing yourself to the Empty for too many days could end up turning you into a sin eater so I guess the Empty is light-aspected.
Yes, but if you complete Eden the original Sin eater releases all stored Aether and transforms the immediate part of the empty back to how it used to be and is now travelling the entire empty releasing aether and reverting it all back to life.
So as long as you're now in a part of the "empty" that has been treated after you complete Eden you will be fine.
The empty is "devoid of aether" in the same way the Antarctic is devoid of water. It is a desert because all the water is trapped frozen beneath your feet. Similarly, in the empty, you're literally standing on a giant ice cap of crystalized light aether. All the aether that was the normal planet has become light aether outsider Norvrandt. Since the defeat of Eden it is slowly changing back into other aether types and restoring the Empty (which is what we're doing in the oasis during the Eden raid) but that is going to take a very long time. Y'shtola's plan is essentially to open up a portal and throw light icebergs from the First into the Thirteenth to nullify the dark aether.

Is there a reason to buy crafted gear this patch? It looks like shit, it's only 640 gear which is the same as the Normal raid reward gear which looks far better, the tome gear is 650.

The devs either have to make this mandatory, but nerf the requirements or they'll regulated to side content that you'll see as folks in the background like in SB with that ninja mentor guy.
They should go "frick it, you had your chance" like they did when the DRG job quest guy became important in HW.
This. They don't need to make things mandatory, just insert and extra line of dialogue hinting that players who haven't done the content should go back and do it some time.
Everyone who has reached EW must have at least one of those role quests completed in order to get there, since they're a requirement to beat SHB. I could definitely see them skipping the requirements for all of them and having the one guy you do know introduce the rest to you if you didn't get around to do doing theirs yet. Cylva's quests could also probably have their requirements axed to just one instead of all of them too.
More concerning is Unulkalhai which requires you to complete Warring Triad, but given that the First has some time displacement shenanigans going on they could just pull the same trick they did on G'raha when SHB first released (when CT hadn't yet been made mandatory) and just have him go "oh, you helped me get here from the source, but I guess that must still be in the future for you".
Warring triad is also mentioned several times in Endwalker post patch content (pand raids) so people really should have completed it.

I'm one of those who didn't do a single Hildebrand quest, so going all the way back to ARR until the latest patch just for the Relic weapon was...pain, absolute fricking pain.
While you could argue that the Manderville weapons are very convenient for raiding, they are still optional content.
Making optional content mandatory for mandatory content like MSQ is in another league though.

I feel like 6.5 is too little to wrap up the Golbez story and introduce 7.0. We're going to defeat Zeromus but he escapes to our world and flies away to Meracydia where we give chase. Then Meracydia gets ditched just like Gyr Abania and we spend all of midgame in Dalmasca KINO before we return to Meracydia to wrap things up.
