Well in terms of "why are men making female characters" I imagine it has a lot to do with the male image having little social value in today's world. Men like women better, women like women better. People are generally nicer to you if you have a female avatar. Femininity is much more appealing to most people than masculinity. Is that a sign of the times? Maybe, who can say?
If, when given the choice, a man makes a female avatar it is likely because he wants to make something nice to look at because that will increase his enjoyment of the game. This might have other implications, it might not.
I will say though that Runescape is just about the only online game I play where I like the male avatar enough to play as it over the female one.

I only played Sage to get to the EW role quests and it’s not too bad but it feels hard to heal sometimes. Is there a job that is considered to be the overall best one?

It does effect you, its just in a more ephemeral way. You not caring about the cosmetics means you are willing to play a game with cosmetics on them, as long as you don't particularly care about it. This allows them to put more and more cosmetics in, and we're already well past the tipping point.
While you may not care, the fact that Cruise Chaser is $30 and not a TEA drop is pretty depressing and dire for the game, and the fact that much of our content is funded by insane schizo whales who blow $300 a month in fantasias means square will continue to release content dripfed in this manner as long as the whales stay around. We already have "pay to skip" mechanics, and the more monetization that xiv gets without players complaining or leaving, the closer to gaining a wow token like scheme the game becomes. Pay for cosmetics becomes pay for convenience becomes pay for power. That's the usual route monetization goes.

Cosmetic content is still content. If you don't personally care about it, then fine but someone could say that whatever part of the game they don't care about but you enjoy, should require a surcharge (ie I don't care about PVP. You should have to pay $25 for each season etc) Someone who doesn't do Savage Raids or EX Primals could say you should need to pay for each of those in addition for consumable keys to access them, or that you need to pay for "truth revealing" tokens to have items that drop from high end content look fancy and not like generic low rusty gear. Or a ton of other concepts, but the issue is you'd probably be pretty angry if they tried that with any content you enjoyed. So it goes with those who enjoy the cosmetics, RP content etc.
The point of the subscription is supposed to be you pay for your ticket into the game world, its upkeep and development etc.. and then do you what you want. The guy who wants to spend all his time raiding or PVPing while looking like a mismatched clown with best in slot gear can do that, but so can the one who wants to collect every outfit with a given theme or whatever else. Having surcharges for certain kinds of content is bullshit greed and they hope you'll accept it if its "just cosmetic", it was and has always been a lie to tell you it somehow doesn't count, then turn around and know people value it so much as part of the game that some will pay lots of money for "just cosmetic" items.
I know its difficult for a zoomer to assaulted by more than a single line of text, I'm sorry that has to be triggering. Its almost surprising you can still deepthroat your favorite corporate overlords after such a traumatic event.

Not sure how light hearted they want the end of the raid series to be, but I think it is possible that some combination of our memory of Venat, along with the Watcher's memories and the sorrow of the planet at having lost her will effectively birth a new God for the Pantheon. Not VenatHydaelyn but sort of Hydaelyn proper. Whether this is reasonable depends on the final reveal of how Venat's followers became the Pantheon of Gods I guess.
Something like that could happen. Not totally sure, because it's still optional sidecontent, which it would be difficult for them to establish something so major in. At best, I expect some phantom recreation of Venat made of her memories and maybe tiny fragments of her scattered soul, like the Pandaemoniumbros in Anabaseios. But I guess they felt the Mothercrystal was already a solid enough goodbye.

Not really. Male Viera can come and go from the villages as they wish, and the females don't chase them out. The boys are busy being the forest defenders and guardians, protecting their homes and the females and young, and they take the post-pubescent males with them to train them to be guardians after they visit the villages to breed all the receptive females. Male Mooncats are tossed out onto their asses when they get old enough and basically fend for themselves, stopping by Moongirl homes to hump and trade food before being tossed out again.

Well, they finally let FFXI hit maintenance mode on its 21st birthday, after about six years of general neglect w/ slight QoL/budget-tier updates, so use that as judgement for when XIV will stop getting attention.

I have had no problems with any store mounts except Cruise Chaser and now this one.
To be fair almost no one plays BLU and even less actually do the savage raids, they didn't give out a mount for the SB content and they probably won't give one out here. The Morbol was a completely random rewards thrown in and they swapped the Cerberus mount over to DRS.

Yeah given that 6.5 will involve the First I'm guessing they'll throw as bone and put in some scene with the crew, but they should have been major players for this entire arc. We already have "pay to skip" mechanics, and the more monetization that xiv gets without players complaining or leaving, the closer to gaining a wow token like scheme the game becomes. Pay for cosmetics becomes pay for convenience becomes pay for power. That's the usual route monetization goes.

Cosmetic content is still content. If you don't personally care about it, then fine but someone could say that whatever part of the game they don't care about but you enjoy, should require a surcharge (ie I don't care about PVP. You should have to pay $25 for each season etc) Someone who doesn't do Savage Raids or EX Primals could say you should need to pay for each of those in addition for consumable keys to access them, or that you need to pay for "truth revealing" tokens to have items that drop from high end content look fancy and not like generic low rusty gear. Or a ton of other concepts, but the issue is you'd probably be pretty angry if they tried that with any content you enjoyed. So it goes with those who enjoy the cosmetics, RP content etc.
The point of the subscription is supposed to be you pay for your ticket into the game world, its upkeep and development etc.. and then do you what you want. The guy who wants to spend all his time raiding or PVPing while looking like a mismatched clown with best in slot gear can do that, but so can the one who wants to collect every outfit with a given theme or whatever else. Having surcharges for certain kinds of content is bullshit greed and they hope you'll accept it if its "just cosmetic", it was and has always been a lie to tell you it somehow doesn't count, then turn around and know people value it so much as part of the game that some will pay lots of money for "just cosmetic" items.

Its not player entitlement, its publisher entitlement to continually do less, charge more, and expect you to keep paying as the experience degrades.

Pretty sure the final boss is going to be the Watcher, but he expressly doesn't fight. However, he has spent tens of thousands of years obsessively watching Hydaelyn and cataloguing her exploits. I think he'll summon a memory of Venat/Hydaelyn that we fight, effectively the final boss of the expansion (along with Zeromus I guess). Not sure how light hearted they want the end of the raid series to be, but I think it is possible that some combination of our memory of Venat, along with the Watcher's memories and the sorrow of the planet at having lost her will effectively birth a new God for the Pantheon. Not VenatHydaelyn but sort of Hydaelyn proper. Whether this is reasonable depends on the final reveal of how Venat's followers became the Pantheon of Gods I guess.

Expert roulette's daily reward, and then keep running it anyway because you're probably not going to get tomes faster than by spamming the latest two dungeons. Adjust as needed to account for hunt trains or clearing raids for the week.
expert roulette is horrible, doesn't make sense to create a roulette just for two dungeons, they need to create unreal versions of the existing dungeons to add at least two of them everypatch

The whole 13th storyline could be summed up in one or two patches and it really stinks of "this was a trials sidequest series that we decided to turn into MSQ."
Every character acts like a fricking moron and the dialogue is even dryer than usual. It doesn't feel like any of this matters.

So now that they finished 6.0 in 6.0 and not 6.3 and are forced to spend the entirety of 6.x on one story, they clearly just grabbed what would normally be a 2-patch story and went "Okay, so we just add a bit of fluff and then make everything take way longer than it has to."

To be fair almost no one plays BLU and even less actually do the savage raids, they didn't give out a mount for the SB content and they probably won't give one out here. The Morbol was a completely random rewards thrown in and they swapped the Cerberus mount over to DRS.

I keep checking on them after every patch and nothing. Such a waste of plot devices, though they'll probably give them 1 scene acknowledging it if you completed their stories. Kind of like the scene where everyone was getting stuff for the ragnarok.
Yeah given that 6.5 will involve the First I'm guessing they'll throw as bone and put in some scene with the crew, but they should have been major players for this entire arc. Instead of making a new character called Zero to be a fallen hero from the 13th to accompany the party they should have used Cylva, who has the exact same fricking backstory.
