That questline really fricked itself during the last quest. The first two quests weren't anything to brag about either, but you got some background info about Tataru from Pippin and the second quest had pirates tomfoolery and Emmanellain being moronic. The next two quests were really good though, you got the kami being goofy, basically confirmation that you are descendant from Tenzen and a good glam reward. The 6.4 quest you got a nice prologue for Sorrow of Werlyt and a pretty amazing mecha cutscene. And Nero, of course.
But the last quest? All that bullshit for a chocobo barding? The only good part of it was the Studium people. What a load of bull.

The hands appear on the side that the cleave will. So if hands are on her left, right, left, you have to consider where she's starting, and which direction she'll be facing when she dashes to the first point. She'll hit left of that, turn to face point 2, hit right of that, and finally left for 3. When she does a full circle of hands, it's going to be the donut.

Harder jobs with easier fights is objectively more fun.
Harder jobs and easier fights allows more room for skill expression for more competent players which means more fun while also allowing room for less skilled players to get carried and participate in higher level content. Overall everyone wins. Harder fights and easier jobs makes the basic gameplay unsatisfying and leaves no room for more skill expression which leaves competent players bored and the fights just become extremely strict body checks which become frustrating to replay.
Completely disagree, jobs don't need 6 bars of abilities, they need to be hard enough to force you to learn them and eventually when you are skilled enough be able to perform them without having to think about it. That's the fun of having tough encounters, they are so hard they force you to think more about the mechanics and if you can't handle your job you aren't going to progress.

Long before you started playing the game Cleric Stance was a toggle that almost completely killed your healing output, and you were locked into it for 5 seconds so you actually had to be aware of what was happening and how to play your job. It wasn't just a damage cooldown, newbie. have a nice day.

Bosses recenter for two main reasons, one is because the mechanic itself is complex enough that the boss needs to be stationairy (as in it's centered on where the boss is), two is because it makes it impossible to cheese mechanics or make them easier by moving the boss to the safe spot during or ahead of the mechanic. You don't see this a lot in older raids because mechanics were rather simple or only handed out to a couple players at a time.
What old raids did instead is have the boss entirely disappear for a mechanic if it was too complex to handle normally, this is how we got "trios".

Their mechanical design has become so hacky that if they don't have complete control over where everything is positioned, players inevitably find ways to completely break the mechanic. This didn't use to happen because mechanics were designed under the assumption that the boss could be anywhere when casting.

It had a relatively long cooldown after you pressed it, so you had to have some degree of fight knowledge to not end up with a huge healing potency debuff right during heal intensive phases.

Encounter design back then was also full of rapid untelegraphed tankbusters, but you've only touched that content unsynced.

It's not, because if a job's skill ceiling is higher and there's more room for error in a fight then someone who's actually good at the game has a chance to go super saiyan and take the burden of a moronic teammate on his shoulders, increasing the difficulty of the fight and resulting in more satisfaction, plus it gives room for lower skill players to start getting involved in higher end content and eventually getting more confident. Instead we're stuck with instant wipe bodychecks that you can't outskill your way through and the dps checks have no leniency because there's no room between the skill floor and skill ceiling, you just play your job at a baseline and that's it. One option is obviously superior.

It was never a religion. People didn't even know about Hydaelyn or any mothercrystal until after 1.0 when the Scions went around telling everyone about it.

They never had any crystal related stuff in 1.0? It's been a few years but that seems like a massive oversight for an FF game considering how thematically important it always is.
It might have been intended but there was no mothercrystal, just the aetherytes and the crystals used to summon primals. Hydaelyn was given as the name of the planet even back then but Tanaka said that the average person didn't know what the name was. And you still got the "Hear, Feel, Think" voice when awakening to the Echo. So it may have just been waiting to be revealed later down the line.
I've only done Thaleia and have no intention of ever doing it again.

The tank would single pull. The tank AND healer would stand in boss aoes and die. Even when the healer died the PLD tank would eventually die and not be able to self-sustain himself which I don't know how he couldn't do so when WAR, PLD, and somewhat GNB are green tanks at this point. I even asked them politely what they may need help with and I got no response. IT didn't help either that the other DPS was bad as well.

They still are in a sense but it's more that the timer works the same way every time now instead of being even more influencable than a FNAF kid, to make timer number go up and shit as much damage as possible within that window.
Gauges are essentially TP replacement that doesn't suck.

No I am directly saying that FFlogs is not possible to have as a completely neutral tool under any circumstances, it's a public database.
Though given the developers do have some kind of data-scraping on player performance and overall player impressions, I don't think FFlogs not being present would even have much of an impact on how the game developed, it just makes it easier for the devs to cross-reference the numbers they get on their own end.

I think they're pretty hard and different subsets of difficulty apply in different ways, testing some form of memorization, aptitude, endurance, whatever the frick. From what we've seen at the Fanfests, the graphics update is 95% done with only minor adjustments. Zones seem done as well. They have all they need for the benchmark.
Most of the work remaining on Dawntrail for the next 5 months is implementing content and testing/QA.
They still aren't even willing to show us more than a single image of each race, it's nowhere near done.

If that shit isn't done at this point, it's simply not coming at Summer launch. Yoshida delayed EW by two weeks for nothing but adding additional dialogue in Ultima Thule and doing the QA for it.
If they want Dawntrail to release in Summer at the same QA standard they've used for 10 years then the graphics update, lighting, textures, zones, are all feature complete and in QA now.
