If I have to craft one more tincture I'm going to commit {Self-destruct}, and the wait for Dawntrail is KILLING ME ALREADY AND THERE'S STILL FIVE MONTHS LEFT AT MINIMUM

Crafting food and pots is a waste of time, make something else, sell that, buy what you need.
Why craft them when there's such a healthy bot economy keeping the prices affordable.
bots don't make potions. far more profitable to just gather mats, and the bot's name isn't attached to the gathered materials
Bot's are literally the only ones making potions and food.
You think people are actually clicking through their craft macros to make the pots? Every FC I know has had that one guy who just leaves his character on for the whole night and suddenly has a billion pots ready.
I remember naive little me during Shadowbringers I leveled my crafters and tried to make money that way. I gave up as soon as I realised I was actually competing with bots, and SE was doing frickall about them. It took me only a few days when I noticed I got undercut no matter what, I was like fine, I don't have all day to sit at the MB and do this, let the nolife sell it, then the next sale will be mine...except as soon as he sold the item he just listed another. That's when I realised he wasn't sitting there at all, it's all a fricking bot, and there are millions like that. Frick this shit game really.
That's why you craft only during the first week of a new patch and then coast till the next. It takes a couple days for bots to get going and even then items sell so fast they can't get a stranglehold on the market.
You still have to sit on your retainers to adjust prices which is the most annoying part.
Unless you use plogons I guess.
Is it worth it to do that for a few days/week and make 500,000,000 gil and never have to do it again?
It's fun
imagine wasting your finite life on a fricking troony mmo
wow thread's next door bro
I haven't crafted anything in a year, what is even the point?
The only thing keeping you tied to this dogshit style of game is sunken cost.
If you simply let go and free yourself from it you will feel better about yourself
i'm having fun
You're right. I should be berating anonymous posters on an imageboard instead
yeah
and?
I resub when I get the MMO itch like every 6 months and I'm having fun
Finishing up SHB patches rigt now, story fricking sucks but the raids and trials are pretty good at least
they'll be a lot more OK in recollection since 5.1 and 5.2 are basically just padding out until 5.3
wait till you get to ew patches, shb patch story is like a masterpiece compared to the garbage that is the 6.x msq
I was really into the lore during Shadowbringers and Endwalker main story, but I didn't even bother doing the last couple of MSQ drops added in patches, I just don't give a frick, they are so bad.
The lore is finished anyway, it doesn't matter. XIV is over and XIV-2 started this September.
Yeah, exactly.
Unfortunately we seem to be continuing the same story, get ready for more ancients.
So these guys just plagerize Morrowind and y'all just pretend you aren't supporting this? Weebs have no standards...

Can't believe they ripped these out of morrowind in 15 days
Japanese work ethic is some scary shit.
Crafting pots yourself is actually a poor use of time. You can make more gil in the same amount of time elsewhere. Crafting food / pots is only good if you have a bot.
i like the game
what were the devs thinking putting the most fun tank, melee and caster dps, the only roles that get to actually have fun, all in the same starting city?
mnk is not fun and gridania has no tanks
so you mean Ishgard, right?
Clearly by melee he means Reaper and caster means Red Mage.
but Paladin isn't fun either
Well he obviously doesn't mean Limsa because Summoner isn't fun
Isn't Gunbreaker in Gridania or am I misremembering
'Tis true, aye.
Yeah, but Dragoon isn't fun, so it's not gridania
>Dragoon isn't fun
>fun tank
I guess bloodwhetting in a dungeon is fun but there's nothing else
paladin is more braindead and boring than war
Objectively incorrect, but at least you don't have to beg for Esuna every time you want to use Berserk or Inner Release now.
They added Shake It Off to let WARs cleanse that themselves but they also added it in the same update where they removed pacification on Berserk lol
Mindbogglingly stupid bit of class design there
And to this day WARs die to Akh Morn 2 or Wave Cannon 2 from pressing all their cooldowns and shaking them off.
shaking off their entire HP meter
literally all you need to do is press fast blade and riot blade outside of fof and you can never fail. meanwhile if you try to save meter for burst on war you can end up going into inner release with more than 50 meter and 10 seconds left on infuriate cd and overcap because the fell cleaves from inner release will cut infuriate’s cd
People meme on WAR because of how lot it's damage has been for the past two expansions but it honestly takes a decent amount of thinking to manage things throughout a fight if you want to play it at the highest level. It's significantly easier now that they added the properties DRK had for it's burst onto inner release but you can still frick up royally.
>how lot it's damage has been for the past two expansions
that and the brain trauma associated with the average monkey behind the keyboard
Dead thread
Dead game
Yoshida is being fired

>You have received a Venture Coffer.
I've gotten 4 white and 2 black dyes over the course of a week.
Also my submarines keep bringing me flagstone lofts/stairs.
I swear if I pull purple dye out of that shit one more fricking time
ever get a glamour so perfect it kinda ruins your fun? what am i supposed to do if i'm 100% content with it?
I can't double weave without drifting, how much of a shitter does that make me?
fix your gcd
If you can't figure out a way to use 3rd party tools to fix that then probably a pretty big shitter. Or a console player. Either way a shitter.
Pictomancer Krile midriff sexo
Never ever
Mods will fix it
>Pictomancer is just black mage/red mage with shittier graphical effects
>Viper looks shit
This is the expansion I’m least hyped for
This guy has seen 3 gcds and knows everything.
The three gcds they showed with the other classes during their previews were more interesting. If you’re trying to build hype why would you just show all your boring stuff?
Because they aren't trying to build hype and it was shown a year before the expansion came out. They do that with the media tour and live letters later on.
Why do some people feel that XIV isn’t a “massively multiplayer” online RPG?
I’ve seen this sentiment a few times here and I don’t understand where it’s coming from.
The multiplayer components of XIV include 4 person dungeons, 24 person raids, 8 person raids, 72 person PvP, 10 person PvP, savage raids, extreme trials, deep dungeons, treasure dungeons, 400+ person hunt trains, field operations, housing-based get togethers (nightclubs, theater, etc.), fate grinding parties, BLU skill gathering parties, criterion dungeons, Triple Triad Tournaments, GATEs, Mahjong, chocobo racing, lords of verminion, the marketboard, and the good old fashioned pastime of hanging out in major cities and chatting with other players.
Yes, you can play the game while minimizing social interaction, but there are players everywhere and I wish you luck in playing XIV as a truly single player game.
So where does this sentiment come from? Can anyone tell me what criteria they feel XIV doesn’t meet for it to be considered “massive” or are these people just “no true Scotsman-ing” the situation?
EDIT: And how does XIV differ from WoW in this regard? WoW PIONEERED the MMO with no required player interaction, yet I see people citing it as an example of a true MMO. What's the difference?
Edit 2: I figured it out from some of the comments: people are confusing “solo friendly” with “anti social”. The mmo experience is in the game, you can just choose to not partake in it (just like with most MMOs these days).
I love reddit so much bros.
just work on your backlog in the meantime brosuke
Cheap as chips, just buy some when you run out
