The buff limit issue only occured due to world prog groups on stream seeing P3 for the first time, would throw every bit of mitigation they had to survive hello world cast. Pretty much as soon as that phase was seen a second time, the buff limit was no longer an issue because you knew how much damage you were going to take.
As for P8S, unironically the door boss DPS check pre-nerf was fine, the issue was the stupid 100% damage buff at the end of phase 2 on week 1, aka crit or hit enrage.

That is not from TOP, and you can run into buff cap issues in other fights (DSR intermission). Black mages wouldn't ever be using LL in Hello World because it's completely wasted. The main victims were monks getting DP pushed off.

The wierd part about that is that even if they had only paid attention to Emet's scenes and nothing else outside of them, they still shouldn't have believed those lines. Characters from sidecontent have it much worse to actually appear in the MSQ, which is the one always ongoing piece of content.

I'm dead serious. Eureka is kinda fun as a side activity but if that was the main gameplay loop I'd uninstall. Gear treadmills suck, grinding for low percentage drops sucks. Most MMO mechanics are bad and FFXIV shines when it ignores or trivialises them.

Pretty much as soon as that phase was seen a second time, the buff limit was no longer an issue because you knew how much damage you were going to take.
As for P8S, unironically the door boss DPS check pre-nerf was fine, the issue was the stupid 100% damage buff at the end of phase 2 on week 1, aka crit or hit enrage.
