-Only scions that stay in the story are krile and graha.
-First new job is Puppeteer which is a magical range dps that uses dolls. There are some cactaur and moogle dolls, but they repeat shapes with changes in colors and material.
-Second new job is called Spiritwalker. It is a melee job, that equips a glowing sigil and can transform into a wolf looking creature. The sigil stays floating above them in this form.
-Summoner gets ramuh and shiva and leviathan alternating between their two main summons.
-There is a blitzball PVP mode, but from what I understand it's not called blitzball and it's not in the water either.
-One of the major hubs is cosmo canyon, and from what I understand there's a lot of ff7 references in the plot.
-Only other thing I know they're focusing on is retooling the launcher to be more compatible with steam deck.

This seems believable enough, but the backend changes are definitely not what I would have expected them to try
Graha staying and the pseduo (probably half-baked) Blitzball are exactly what I would have expected them to do though

with their patch cycles and the 4 weeks of vacation for the devs early we are pretty much slated to see the xpac at late august at best
6.5 comes in late october, accounting for the 2 weeks leave during july
6.5 part 2 coems at late february, accounting the 2 weeks for new year holidays
7.0 comes at august after the 2024 2 weeks leave at july as it would make no sense whatsoever to launch it and give the devs their time off right after.
and the extra 1 month of development allows em to double check the most bugs as they can before going gold

Aaaaaaand disbelief. PUP was put on the gallows as a limited job when Blue Mage released. Spiritwalker sounds like it's just a WoW druid.
Everything but the jobs strikes me as within the realm of reasonability, though. A for effort
BST was the one that's pretty much shelved since they definitely don't want to even attempt pet jobs anymore
This version of PUP seems pretty safe; just cast using the doll like Lulu
RPR's "pet" is a glorified oGCD which I'm sure is what PUP would be, maybe at best some set and forget turret stuff like the MCH queen
PUP was shelved for similar reasons, a puppet would be considered a pet and be customizable similarly to how it was in XI.
