Isn't the main issue here that other than being a timed PS5 exclusive, the only physical sales are made by those who have explicitly bought the "PS5 with blu-ray player" version? Those who bought the cheaper version without blu-ray player wouldn't be able to do anything with it, so they just buy it from the PS store directly instead, perhaps they don't even count those silly "code-card-only 'physical' games without a disc" either. This would explain a lot about those results.

Sony has low stock of the DE. It's usually around 10 to 20 percent of all PS5 stock.
