Finally got around to playing this and holy shit, this is GotY 2023. There's so much shit to do, I didn't even realize there was an entire Olimar Pikmin 1 side mode, god damn. Nintendo fans wouldn't shut the frick up about boring ass TotK when they have this masterpiece right here.

tell me more
After you rescue Olimar it unlocks an entire section where you play as him and collect 30 ship parts from the game's areas in a flashback.
The game is a reboot, you can play as Olimar, retelling the story of the first game. Pretty nice and fast mode.
This game outperformed Final Fantasy XVI and VII Remake too. Pikmin is the underdog series and it’s got bark.
I kind of wish it used Pikmin 3's food system, since a lot of the treasures are food. I know that there is no real threat of running out of days in a Pikmin game unless you are a literal child, but having an unlimited number just feels bad.
It has a lot to do but the gameplay density is very low. Pikmin 4 is left in pic related, while Pikmin 1 is right.
No its not. Stop being moronic
You literally have no idea what that even means.
Yeah it's amazing. I put off playing it for the longest time because I though it would be average but holy shit it's phenomenal and I couldn't stop playing until I 100 percented everything. Definition of an underrated gem. Should have been in game of the year conversation, if not the actual winner. So good
It took me 2 tries before I was able to finally get into it because the tutorial is so long and boring that it made me assume the game wasn't going to get any better.
I haven't played this yet but I heard it's more braindead than Pikmin 3. Is this true? I can't even imagine that
It's a game about optimization numbnuts its only as hard as the score you set for yourself.
well 1 at least had a proper time limit, it wasn't stringent or anything but it was enough that you couldn't just frick around. 2 got rid of the time limit but made up for it with more difficult encounters/cave hazards. 3 had neither which made it moronicly easy
The last cave has one floor that’s pretty infamous but that’s it, really.
If you’re unsure, air on the aide of caution and assume the worst
Tldr: Don’t buy
The Dandori challenges are harder than anything in Pikmin 1-3.
more than pikmin 2's challenge mode? Cool if true
You hear a lot of comments like that because in the first half of the game, Oatchi the dog, is kind of overpowered.
But the thing is. In the latter half of the game you're actually meant to use all that power optimally. Which makes the game more complex, not less.
like every game it's easy in the beginning, then as more things open up you're almost always multitasking, IE "dandori". it's not as bullshit as the first 2 games and not as braindead as 3, but it's still a good time and there's a lot to do
When do you get the Nigmin?
When the Yidmin bring them to you via their onions that look a lot like the White onions
i hate waiting 5-10 years for new pikmin games
I started playing pikmin 1 remake on my shitch, do I play them all or skip 3?
3's good but it doesn't shine until the post game challenges
Every Pikmin game is worth playing.
3 just stung for some people because they had to wait 9 years for it and it was half the length of the last game, Pikmin 2.
Yup its fricking great.
I tried to play the 1+2 ports after 4 and it mogs them so brutally that I can't even tolerate them, this game NEEDS some DLC content. Give me a hard-mode zone that has a time limit and pound-my-ass dandori challenges.
> and holy shit, this is GotY
Not with that forced lock-on it aint
game didnt last long enough
how do you recruit these pikmin, with watermelon?
child Aid, newport, basketball, grape drank
They actually won't do anything you tell them to do, and they'll steal other Pikmin's pellets
so they're nigmin
yeah, just like the transatlantic slave trade
How does this game emulate on PC?
Wouldn’t mind taking the game for another spin but at 60fps this time.
What the frick was his problem?
