geeta's team is very flawed, but you can set up on red's pikachu easily. she leads with an opportunist espathra to prevent that, so she's still harder by default
Paldea itself isn't good at representing different biomes. There are snowy areas, hot areas, wet areas, etc but you traverse all of them in exactly the same way with no preparation needed.
i saw that on geeta's bulbapedo page and i laughed my fricking ass off.
there's no hidden theming there, "representing the region's biomes" is literally just what happens when you have a varied team.
100% this. Actually using entry hazzard strats would make her possibly the smartest champion of all time. Kingambit fits her weird hair-theme with Glimmora and is obviously final boss material. I'm not saying he needs to be terra dark/sucker punch, but she's straight up moronic as-is, and her team setup is an embarrassing display.

not only that but the 2 non kalos mons she uses are used by 2 of the gym leaders. (Espathra and Veluza)
The only unique thing about her team is Kingamit and Glimmora.
Palafin
Toadscruel
Rabsca
Armorogue/Ceruledge - Version difference.
Kingambit
Glimmora - Poison tera instead of Rock
This would've been a better team, especially if it was only Gen 9 Pokemon to make her more unique since no other special character uses them.
Just because smogon uses it for set up doesn't mean it's designed specifically for set up >b-but
130 special attack is equal to something like Garchomps 130 attack, higher than any of Milotics offenses and higher than any of the gen 1 starters offenses
It's actually really fun catching people off guard with it in comp because no-one takes it as an offensive sweeper, I've been using it in doubles and people just ignore it for no reason
What are the indigo dick and unova remake leaks? anything exciting? battle frontier/ postgame modes? terrasstalliza max adventures like dynamax caverns? Just please a fun end game mode
Must be Stockholm syndrome, but I actually find it kinda charming now that Geeta is apparently a really shitty boss that nobody likes. Makes for an interesting character dynamic, and more memorable than Diantha. She’s still terrible as an actual trainer to battle, though.
You know it actually makes sense why Nemona is so fricking desperate for a challenge.
The problem isn't that her pokemon are weak, it's that everyone knows her team placement is pants on head moronic that makes you question if she became a champion purely to fill a diversity quota.
rillaboom has 530 bst
and is way better
stat distribution matters a lot
so much of gogoats points are wasted of special attack
mix attackers in general just dont work
Rillaboom is only good because of Grassy Surge and Grassy Glide.
Gogoat needed a secondary typing to complement its reliable sustainability through its moveset. Mono-grass needs a huge gimmick to stand out, which is why Rillaboom, Serperior, and Tangrowth are the only viable mono Grass types that aren't an Arceus form.
perhaps but my point still stands
if it was a physical attacker instead of a mix attacker it would have been decent
pretty much losing sp attack for sp defence and speed
note this isn't against gogoat itself just mix attackers suck in general
you normally want to use one attack stat
usually the stronger one
theres cases where it works but its far and few between
>says I am utterly incapable of holding back >sends out glimmora first, a pokemon that the player is guaranteed never to have seen before since it's from area zero >maybe even teras right away and says a line about using not wanting to wait to use her ace if you still want to keep glimmora as her ace pokemon >rest of the fight is harder because there are now toxic spikes on the ground so you can keep her weird picks like gogoat >save kingambit for last, another pokemon the player will likely never have seen since it has an extremely specific evolution method >it also has a never before seen ability that makes it stronger for every pokemon killed
I will forever be seething about her team order. It's the biggest indicator that gamefreak just doesn't give a shit about giving the player a fun experience anymore. It could have been amazing
aren't there gym leaders stronger than that butthole
Out of all pokemon she uses a shitty recolored goat
goddamn xir's so ugly
I love jerking to her feet though
Finally, the Top Champion. This is sure to be a tough ba-
fricking idiot
he's not a champion
It says pkmn trainer when you battle him
then why does the champion theme play?
poppy is a bigger challenge then her
>all his pokemon outlevel gettas team by a solid 20 levels
your point?
he technically is considering he did beat the champ in his region
>3 starters
>snorlax
>lapras
geeta's team is very flawed, but you can set up on red's pikachu easily. she leads with an opportunist espathra to prevent that, so she's still harder by default
Geeta is the weakest Champion except for Lance, never mind Postgame Red.
Nah. Opportunist Espathra is stronger than anything in gen 2.
>swords dance on espathra
>it gets an attack boost that does nothing for it
>???
>sweep
NOOOOO IT'S OK WHEN GEN 4 DOES IT NOOOOOOOOOO
OHNONONO OP SISTERS HES ONTO US
IT DOESN'T COUNT
RED IS HECKING EPIC
IT DOESN'T COUNT...
IT DOESN'T COUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
count janai...
>midgame fight has midgame team
O:
It's not that big of a deal but why does Geeta have two of Kalos' worst pokemon? Gogoat AND Avalugg? That's weird right?
not only that but the 2 non kalos mons she uses are used by 2 of the gym leaders. (Espathra and Veluza)

Arven uses Toedscruel
I heard her team was supposed to represent the different biomes in paldea but they chose some of the worst Pokémon to represent that
Paldea itself isn't good at representing different biomes. There are snowy areas, hot areas, wet areas, etc but you traverse all of them in exactly the same way with no preparation needed.

i don't get this meme
is this supposed to be bad?
SLOW
FRAIL
MIXED
ATTACKER
it's not that frail actually
if you want to see the worst pokemon of her team just look at veluza
Gogoat is not frail, it's actually very bulky
I had fun with a Bulk Up/Horn Leech set, but I don't know what hers has because Skeledirge effortlessly melts the entire game with Torch Song.
her gogoat runs both too
>WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Love this flat frick
Shit gogoat is 531? Not bad
Number mean nothing if the stats that matter are shit. Needed 30 points allocated from SpA to other things. You'd think a goat would be faster.
>he never used mixed gogoat with surf
>he never rode the slow gogoat in lumiose city
NGMI
Its evolution level and BST is on par with 3rd stage starters.
Why does it have such bad distribution?
Is the peculiar ability also useless?
I'm sorry honestly it's a cool design
>have ace be specifically designed to be a lead
>use it last
Geeta's a dumbass
>Kingambit somewhere in the middle
Should've had a lead palafin that is hard coded to always start with flip turn into glimora (or switch if water immune). And save kingambit for last
100% this. Actually using entry hazzard strats would make her possibly the smartest champion of all time. Kingambit fits her weird hair-theme with Glimmora and is obviously final boss material. You know who did use entry hazard strats? Steven. The Gen 3 champ. Over 20 years ago.
Oh now THIS is evil
Just because smogon uses it for set up doesn't mean it's designed specifically for set up
>b-but
130 special attack is equal to something like Garchomps 130 attack, higher than any of Milotics offenses and higher than any of the gen 1 starters offenses
It's also great as a sweeper so there's no problem, you should stop parroting what you hear if you've never played competitively
It's actually really fun catching people off guard with it in comp because no-one takes it as an offensive sweeper, I've been using it in doubles and people just ignore it for no reason
I use in single with rock polish, it's really strong.
I hope that in the new rematch the Primera has a better strategy
Easily the worst champion, Holy frick
What are the indigo dick and unova remake leaks? anything exciting? battle frontier/ postgame modes? terrasstalliza max adventures like dynamax caverns? Just please a fun end game mode
Gogoat is canonically a super strong pokemon species. You're just too stupid to understand lore.
>Gogoat is canonically a super strong pokemon species. You're just too stupid to understand lore.
>So strong it was absent for 2 generations
>BLUE sent out PIDGEOT!

*sips*
Yup, they dont make em like Cynthia anymore

theres cases where it works but its far and few between
and then they had to nerf Grassy Glide because it broke Rillaboom
>muh bst
avalugg has 514 BST
She hawt but yes she could be much harder. Team order as well as replacing Gogoat and Avalug would help too.
You guys understimate Gogoat
Bulk Up and Horn Leech combo can be surprisingly annoying
>says I am utterly incapable of holding back
>sends out glimmora first, a pokemon that the player is guaranteed never to have seen before since it's from area zero

Completely forgot about this character because the whole game was so easy and forgettable
