I really hope I dont have to go back and kill every dream boss because the fricking Lost Kin filtered the shit out of me after I mercilessly beat him the first time
Why cant there be boss health bars or some shit
>walk through a stage >no map is showed >buy a map >have to walk through everything AGAIN to show it in map
Absolute dogshit system, beyond moronic And i love the game.
The lack of communication was just hype building but they’ve taken it too far.
Game is probably delayed by a constant cycle of feature creep and perfectionism. From their perspective, they can take their time because people still are buying Hollow Knight lol
I haven’t used my Switch as much the last few months but for the 4 or 5 years that I’ve had it HK was ALWAYS on the best seller list for download only games.
Unironically too much content. Makes you feel like you're missing out if you don't do it all, but it becomes a slog by the end. Could cut about 20 hrs of DLC. Neat game, 8/10.
I'm okay with all but the Pantheon of Hallownest. A boss rush against literally every single boss in a game that has a metric shit-ton of them is one of those things that sounds cool on paper, until you die right before (or even worse, right at) Absolute Radiance and want to launch the computer/console right out the window, and have to fight your way through a bunch of filler shitter bosses to get back to where you were beforehand.
The entire DLC about boss rushes was unnecessary, so was the colosseum and a lot of the map and the circus stuff. I unironically did not even finish the game, I was doing clean up near what I presume was the end and trying to do the DLC and just got burnt out. 0 regrets and I don't really care about the game enough to go back and finish it. Their own fault for designing it with that much bloat. I'd rather do something else. Was kinda fun, but not the best metroidvania I've played.
The corpse run to restore your mana meter was unnecessary. One of the strengths of Hollow Knight was that you had a lot of freedom to choose which direction you want to explore. If one area of boss was giving you too much trouble, you could just turn around and try somewhere new. Except you needed to get your corpse, and if you ran all the way to the boss you might as well try again. There was the stinky egg merchant, but you needed to find a train station, then go back to the village, then go back to where you want to go.
>map is absolute garbage, just terrible >art and objects are poorly matched; platforms end too soon/late, hitboxes all over the place, etc. >boss fights all follow the same dodge-attack-dodge formula, most of them have the same damn attacks >trash mobs alternate between minor annoyance and fruitless grind >tetris blocks have more responsive and dynamic movesets than the knight
>no sloped ground >simple quality of life mechanics locked behind charm system >incredibly basic movement mechanics >areas look nice, but every room in an area look nearly identical >player character is the worst animated actor in the game
Game has too many bugs.
Frick you, Carlos.
I hope today's field trip kills you.
GOD DAMNNIT
Backtracking
I cant. Literally a flawless masterpiece created by the most powerful country in the world.
Can be kinda slow at the start, like, literally, the Knight is pretty slow
no hornet sex scene
too real
Seeing the true ending requires you to play through the most ridiculous shit ever made by a human
I really hope I dont have to go back and kill every dream boss because the fricking Lost Kin filtered the shit out of me after I mercilessly beat him the first time
Why cant there be boss health bars or some shit
>Filtered by Lost Kin
You aint ready for hell
godseeker isn't canon
I just disregarded TC on that one. For my opinion the true ending is beating Radiance. That makes the most sense too.

But that’s not how it works? Places you have been to do get recorded in the map as soon as you go to a bench.
Have they changed it?
no, you're just moronic and forgot to rest at a bench probably
No sequel.
But there is a sequel, currently planned to come out in 2033
>currently planned to come out in 2033
but seriously, what in the actual frick is team cherrys problem? how can they literally say NOTHING for this long?
Whats with DLC to these games taking so long to develop? Im going to kill myself if it takes this long for Elden Ring DLC to come out
the longer something is in production the better it is when it releases
it just needed more time

No boss fight with Hornet's braphog mom.

>start clearing the map near the end
>get burnt out
>watch ending on youtube a week later
I'm ashamed to admit just how many times this happened to me
happening to me now with 2077 for example but I will go back and finish the game
>Find a Flaw.
No sequel.

Unfortunately that had to be put in so that more people would buy the game because it's JUST LIKE DARK SOULS OMAGAWD
Drab art style with little variation between zones, and also I dislike the controls and don’t think it brings anything new to the genre.
The graveyard was just sucking off patreons, added nothing to the game or story.
Otherwise 10/10.
Could've been worse.
Could've been much worse.
Could've been FAR worse.
Contact damage is lazy

no sloped floors
troony fanbase puffing up a 7/10 game
Artstyle
There are bugs and they scare me
babby's first metroidvania
>no sloped ground
>simple quality of life mechanics locked behind charm system
>incredibly basic movement mechanics
