Content probably won't come out quick enough to support the current playerbase size. Other than that the inconsistency with the Arc Thrower; sometimes it just doesn't even shoot out a bolt when you fire it.
I do kind of feel like the defense mission types are feeling a little stale. The escort missions are cancer on high difficulty, sometimes the idiots just keep shooting bots forever without starting the objective.
This the players will likely get bored in a couple weeks and then hype will slowly die down. Personally I enjoy the content as its a good background game as well.
What we actually see when they bring with the mech will be extremely telling about how content rich we can expect this game to be. I worry that they are only talking about bringing in one "mech," and not all 3 exosuits, 2 apcs, 1 tanks, and a motorcycle. If they only deliver a single mech, then I'll probably be done with the game for a while and give it a year or so to get more content.
Okay, that is still a single exosuit when the first game had 3 exosuits, 2 apcs, a tank, and a motorcyle. If they only deliver a small fraction of content, then again I will give it a year or so for these small batches of content to add up.
The first warbond drop will show us how little content this game is going to received for sure. My guess is they will only put one mech in (without the HD1 repair tool) that will be pretty useless as to not upset any balance they have made since right now the current trend for stratagems is that most of them aren't as powerful as they were in HD1.
They have overall less than when they started with HD1 so I don't think it's fair to assume they will follow the same trend of content releases.

True, but I have a feeling that they purposefully delayed the mech so that they could release something relatively quickly post-launch as part of marketing. That's because post-launch, they'll be busy fixing bugs while the mech is probably just waiting for the pre-scheduled release. So in a way, it's probably like pseudo-release content.
If they already had 7 vehicles ready to release, I doubt that they'd release them anytime soon either. It's better to drip-feed the game frequently to keep the playerbase more active.

The laser drone is good against bugs. You end up fighting so many small bugs that it can kill almost instantly, and it leaves you move room to focus on the real threats. Plus without random rockets and shit flying everywhere you don't need the shield as badly against bugs. Remember that the small bugs are the ones that call in bug breaches, so the faster you can kill them the less likely you are to deal with reinforcements.
Stats in this game are absurdly deceptive, Anon. People say for the first two weeks that SMG was better than the starting rifle in every possible way simply comparing stats, but first person ADS for starter rifle wildly improves the stability/recoil, and the added range helps a lot (especially when every shitter is running the Breaker, which WILL get nerfed).

NTA but ive ran scythe with autocannon and it works fine. Scythe deals with small shit quickly and AC is for everything else, give it a try, its not that bad of a setup. You just sweep the landscape and it kills shit. Havent tried it against robots though.

That actually seems to be a thing thats coming, speculations is that that is what those 4 terminals are across from the armoury are for. The game is not in its final state yet, we already have confirmed vehicles and more enemies coming besides weapon upgrades. Could be the reason why a lot of weapons are rather weak and give players a reason to pick up credits and materials even when they have unlocked everything for their ship.

Otherwise two impact grenades takes out a tank to the rear. No you don't. The guy with a railgun also has a primary weapon, sidearm, most likelty airstrikes, etc etc etc. There's no need at all to use support weapons for that kind of thing, everyone can easily deal with trash. AND the shield itself makes you borderline invincible to trash even if they reach you, it makes you immune to their slows which are the only thing that actually get you killed from them, and immune from rockets etc from bots.
You can play without the railgun/shield but it's so strong that there really is almost no strategic reason to. The only other support weapon that has any niche at all really to compare is the autocannon, for closing factories/nests from miles away.
I got up to difficulty 8 on solo runs (and had done the same difficulty with teams) before reaching level 20 and it was perfectly playable, but the game instantly became half as difficult on reaching that level and being handed the shield and railgun, they really are overpowered compared to everything else, I'm fully in favour of both them being nerfed and all the other support weapons being buffed a bit.

It's not that there's a meta weapon but that there's no niche that the weaker weapons can fill. I think having a big dude with no armor would give stuff like the LMGs a legitimate niche as their raw DPS is higher than a railgun but can't do shit against bile titans or hulks (at least consistently).

The laser Cannon and laser rifle are shit. Infinite ammo isn't worth frick all when the actual dangerous enemies are all armored and immune to the laser damage.
laser rifle is alright against bots imo. Can handle everything up to and including devastators (the rocket racks/shield minigun guys). basically if it has an exposed head you just laser that for a half second and it dies. The problem with lasers imo is that you have to keep the gun on target, which means you have to be pretty stationary or else you'll miss the weak points. Similarly you get extra fricked by aim punch shit, like getting shot or hit, and explosions or pods hitting nearby. I would say you almost have to take the shield generator to really get maximum performance out of the scythe, or just stay behind your teammates so they take the majority of the aggro.
Armored enemies are too prevalent the higher difficulty you go. I'd rather fight more/faster/ gimmicky bugs and use whatever loadout I wanted than have to build around making sure I can QUICKLY take care of every Charger or Bile Titan we come across with the same tired loadouts. I'm sure it won't be as samey with time with more AP stratagems, grenades, vehicles, and weapons releasing in the war bonds, but for now their armor feels so strong it dictates player choice and build variety.
It's obvious that shit was not beta tested before release, but they had some sort of pressure to release it. Probably because of how barren the good co-op game selection is.
Armor still needs to be fixed, crashes are still common and missions are getting stale. Fricking escort missions are giving me shellshock on higher difficulty when stratagems can no longer give you breathing room to open doors up.
Otherwise, great progression of the series. It doesn't look or play like a game that costs $40.

It doesnt work, its been mentioned in the last patch, limb damage hasnt been fully implemented either. Its also why the "extra padding" trait doesnt do anything right now, its suppose to give you an armour boost, but since armour isnt working it doesnt do anything, the rest of the perks work fine however.
I just want to see what the game is like like when people have survivability.

This is all related to the scaling issues. They have had to make many manual adjustments because the war effort contributions were originally programmed for no more than 50k players, which was the high ceiling that they never expected to reach until the game became the surprise hit of the year.

progression systems are fricked, burn through the stratagem list super fast. But the medal grind takes forever just to unlock guns that are worse than the early unlocks. Doing the same missions on the same planets is getting old fast and with the balance being fricked its not like I can do wacky shit/loadouts to shake it up a bit. Bug missions are heavily skewed around killing chargers. Everything else just gets washed out in collateral to that. Bot missions are better designed but again everything is starting to feel the same.

Doing these missions solo is actually pretty fricking dope. Can do 5's reasonably well, haven't been able to do a 7 yet. Bots seem a bit easier for me though and I dig the terminator-WW2 aesthetic.

It's an amazing game, but I can name you a bunch of flaws if that's what you REALLY want: >The game is unstable as frick >Emotes (in fact your entire character) can get reset to default settings for no explainable reason >A third of the ship modules are just for sentries, because >You can die by literally just walking on the wrong portion of the floor, without any mines there >Mines can (and do) spawn underneath the floor, killing you instantly >The most common Defend missions, Extractions, literally does not work (incorrect timer, infinite enemy spawns, enemies that spawn on top of the Civvie exit, etc) >Half of the weapons and half of the stratagems are dogshit >There's over 70+ weapons and over 70+ variations in all the cosmetic classes but you can't pick and choose, you're at the mercy of the devs >A bunch of extremely annoying bugs, like your hellpod being uncontrollable and randomly sqashing teamates, the floor disappearing, etc >You can only customize how certain keybinding registration (press, long press, hold, etc etc) despite the option BEING RIGHT THERE >Some of those options just don't work for some actions, for no explainable reasons

I like the art style and music but wish they'd kept a more consistent aesthetic for the armors, like in the original game, where everything looked suitably Helldiversy. A lot of the new cosmetics look like they belong in Star Wars or Destiny.
The grind kinda sucks, defense missions are the worst thing ever made, anything involving escorting civilians is an absolute no go for how shit it is, store also sucks balls and so on.
I'm just using an smg and sniper sometimes the liberator, I'm only lvl 12 so I don't have railgun yet but I find them around often. For strats clusterbomb/ orbital strike, sniper and maybe sentry or mines. Whatever I feel like most of the time really, you don't need to completely clear out every objective. I use the armour that reduces visibility and just sneak right around to grab objectives or just orbital strike or grenade factories and stuff. You can sneak up super close really.

I really want to keep playing the game but I don't like anybody because kicking and teamkilling because not grinding is all people seem to know. Also mission variety when I get to challenging somehow feels worse than easy or medium. Felt like there was more variety between the lower ones that weren't dogshit.

Find it in maps in points of interest and its shared between everyone.
Best thing to do is go into Easy missions and just clear the map by yourself to farm it.
You can find resources on maps, some of which may be the premium currency. It's shared for everyone - if you find ten, everyone gets ten - and doesn't require a successful extraction since it's immediately added to your account.
Premium currency is used for unlocking premium warbonds. Warbonds are a progression system structured like battle passes (except permanently available), where you can spend medals (earned by completing missions) to get new weapons, cosmetics, and other stuff. There is currently one regular and one premium warbond.
Beyond that, you can spend premium currency for cosmetics from the rotating store.
The game is flawed conceptually because it forces players to roleplay as fascists and find enjoyment with that without asking whether the player identifies as fascist or wants to be a fascist and just goes with the assumption that they do. Furthermore, without taking into account player's beliefs it makes it enjoyable and seemingly wants players to enjoy be fascists. How it got past censors is beyond me. The satire is so subtle that thousands of players play the game without realizing they are being made fun of! People are more gullible than devs gave them credit for.

I think the targetting is related to your aim accuracy. If you're standing up, following a close target, you can't fire. But crouch/prone and hold a steady aim, it should lock on.
The spear can get you out of big shits in the fan, like a double bile titan/tank. I usually save the ammo for that.
I once killed a charger in one shot with the spear but I really haven't been able to do it again. It's also sorta annoying that it doesn't lock on to bile spewer (maybe it does to the armored variants in higher levels? Haven't tried)
Seems far more finicky than that, I think there's some logic concerning occlusion that's not 1:1 with what the player sees. Walking back and forth can sometimes find the angle that picks up a lock.
I always take spear so long as other people have smaller strat weapons, but I really wish the targetting was more consistent. Sometimes you can clear a whole heavy bot base on your own from a mile away with it, other times you cant target an enemy that is standing in the open

The bug I was talking about the strategem didn't appear in the list to call at all. I had to just give up and wait for an ally to come and do it instead, it worked for them but not for me. Probably a host/late join issue is my guess.
The one after that was one of those observation posts (looks like the eye of sauron). Tried to call in the hellbomb to destroy it, but instead of activating the little strategem grenade just bounced around for 10 seconds and disappeared.
It's very repetitive and feels feature incomplete, but I don't believe it's going to get anything meaningful to change that added for quite some time. Like, I think it needs an entire expansion pack that affects every part of it, including lots of new map 'tiles', especially variations for the same objective, new objectives in general, etc etc.
And a big weapon rebalance, mostly centred around armour penetration being a shitty, railroading, meta-centralising (but not even just meta, a lot of weapons feel genuinely unusable even casually at higher difficulties) mechanic as it is.
The Meta will change and probably be ruined by mechs. I wonder if they will make maps 3x as big to facilitate fast moving vehicles and more, or if mechs and bikes will be on these relatively small maps and completely trivialize what already exists. I think the later being more likely. Which is why there are so many big armored bugs. I dont think they expected so many to completely smash helldive.
Reminder the american helldiver voices are so cringe and terrible that you can switch the voicepack to a european one in accessibility. I reccomend French because it sounds metal as frick.

Multiplayer is so fricked that if your steam name is longer than 16 characters you litteraly can only play solo. It is also so fricked that you cant change it in game...at all.
It plays well and is great to control (diving in particular) but it's also generic to the point I feel like I've played it several times before. Thinking of other co-op shooters/co-op modes in shooters that I've enjoyed I can't parse any kind of distinctive hook like DRG's environmental interactivity, Killing Floor's classes and economy, Splatoon's paint and all that comes with it or Space Marine's relatively involved melee system. Apart from less tangible shit like the good job it does of aping Starship Troopers, I guess.

It serves to keep the player grounded in what and how they can expect their character to accomplish tasks. That's why it's basic. You're not Captain America, you're the poor propagandized frick that signed up for college money and you were only given lipservice to be a super soldier.

Eh yeah, I hear you, but while this may seem like a minor change to you it's a real detractor to the tension and trivializes gameplay. It's enough that they give you a visual indicator as opposed to making your character shake/bob the mag and trying to guess how much weight/ammunition is in the fricking thing based on how much their hand moves. Not having a distinct ammo counter is what leads the tense reload situations and also makes you appreciate staged reloads more, particularly after you're done diving out of the way of a tank cannon.

I feel like playing Monster Hunter let me pinpoint exactly where Helldivers movement went wrong
It's a moronic thing to find any kind of "middle ground" in, Monster Hunter is extremely fun and feels good to play because the player character has objectively superhuman strength and agility but their movement still has clear weight to it, so it's not floaty but also the game isn't restricting your ability to move
Helldivers isn't realistic enough in other aspects to warrant limiting the player character's agility so it just feels bad to play

Stealth seems best to me. You can waste 20 minutes and half a dozen respawns fighting off a million bot drops and bug breaches, or you can just slip past them or away from them whenever they start swarming and win. With the stealth armour it becomes comically strong, most of the time I can just sprint past anything I don't feel like dealing with, and if I go prone I can crawl like a metre away from enemies without them suspecting a thing.
It's especially strong when soloing, but still great in a team.
The problem with stealth is the guy breathing into his open mic aggroing every mob in the galaxy and calling airstrikes on top of your team every time he does. It is insanely good if everyone is on board though.
No it's just often coincidental that the one aggroing mobs is also often the one blowing through his nose or mouth onto the microphone he's not even using.
It has VoIP, but it doesn't aggro mobs. Like all games with VoIP it instantly tells you who the weakest link is going to be when you hear Mexican children calling each other puta or someone breathing heavy into the mic and making strange noises.
Not without the perk. I honestly haven't tried with it, but I feel like you might have to. I usually just throw an eagle at them or a laser on big bases so idk man
The high difficulty escort missions are currently broken. The mission select screen says the timer for the mission is 40 minutes, the in game timer is 15 minutes. The ai director spawns so much shit because it's trying to cram 40 minutes worth of enemies into 15 minutes of play.

We have this little thing called health insurance here. My annual maximum out of pocket is $4000, I won't ever pay more than that for medical services in a single year. I pay $1200 in premiums annually to maintain the insurance. Even if I max out my out of pocket expenses in a year I still don't pay half as much as my Canadian friends do just for their healthcare taxes alone, and that's only if I have that many medical expenses in a single year. And unless you're really well off and can afford top-grade health insurance, you won't get the best care there. Yes, it's true that the US has some of the best specialists and best hospitals in the world, but they're rarely available for your average Burger. Their average is about the same as Wester/Northern/Central European average. And the waiting times are often similar.
All in all, most Europeans/European countries pay way less than the US for their healthcare systems while broadly getting the same quality of treatment. There are exceptions, like the UK, but that's because the NHS has been neglected and there are strong forces in the UK that want to move towards a free-market healthcare system like in the US. Why? because there's of course a ton of money in it for insurances and healthcare providers. But the average person loses.

You're missing a bigger picture: the EU is more collectivist. People there acknowledge being healthy is one of the best ways to ease the burden of the health care system (along with multiple other benefits).
The US is individualistic. If you ask ask people to be healthy, their response will be "frick you I do what I want". Private medical care works because people and/or insurance pays for it. If Americans had universal health care like EU, Japan/Korea, or even Canada, it would literally and metamorphically collapse under their own weight.

Well, while I am having fun with this game when it works I'm not buying games from Arrowhead anymore after this. The launch week for this game is burned into my brain I'll never forget how awful it was and they should be praying to jesus every day they even found success after that shitfest release. If it were anyone else they'd be on the industry shitlist and getting meme'd on for eternity until they shut down.
Content probably won't come out quick enough to support the current playerbase size. Other than that the inconsistency with the Arc Thrower; sometimes it just doesn't even shoot out a bolt when you fire it.
I do kind of feel like the defense mission types are feeling a little stale. The escort missions are cancer on high difficulty, sometimes the idiots just keep shooting bots forever without starting the objective.
This the players will likely get bored in a couple weeks and then hype will slowly die down. Personally I enjoy the content as its a good background game as well.
What we actually see when they bring with the mech will be extremely telling about how content rich we can expect this game to be. I worry that they are only talking about bringing in one "mech," and not all 3 exosuits, 2 apcs, 1 tanks, and a motorcycle. If they only deliver a single mech, then I'll probably be done with the game for a while and give it a year or so to get more content.
The mech is likely to come with the heavy MG and the anti tank lasercannon at least.

My guess is they will only put one mech in (without the HD1 repair tool) that will be pretty useless as to not upset any balance they have made since right now the current trend for stratagems is that most of them aren't as powerful as they were in HD1.

If they already had 7 vehicles ready to release, I doubt that they'd release them anytime soon either. It's better to drip-feed the game frequently to keep the playerbase more active.

Autocannon is better because you have room for an extra stratagem and better range, only downside is reload convince.

Against bugs rover is a crutch for bad playing, the sooner you get away from it the better you will be.

The laser drone is good against bugs. You end up fighting so many small bugs that it can kill almost instantly, and it leaves you move room to focus on the real threats. Plus without random rockets and shit flying everywhere you don't need the shield as badly against bugs. Remember that the small bugs are the ones that call in bug breaches, so the faster you can kill them the less likely you are to deal with reinforcements.

People say for the first two weeks that SMG was better than the starting rifle in every possible way simply comparing stats, but first person ADS for starter rifle wildly improves the stability/recoil, and the added range helps a lot (especially when every shitter is running the Breaker, which WILL get nerfed).

That actually seems to be a thing thats coming, speculations is that that is what those 4 terminals are across from the armoury are for. The game is not in its final state yet, we already have confirmed vehicles and more enemies coming besides weapon upgrades. Could be the reason why a lot of weapons are rather weak and give players a reason to pick up credits and materials even when they have unlocked everything for their ship.

The guy with a railgun also has a primary weapon, sidearm, most likelty airstrikes, etc etc etc. There's no need at all to use support weapons for that kind of thing, everyone can easily deal with trash. AND the shield itself makes you borderline invincible to trash even if they reach you, it makes you immune to their slows which are the only thing that actually get you killed from them, and immune from rockets etc from bots.
You can play without the railgun/shield but it's so strong that there really is almost no strategic reason to. The only other support weapon that has any niche at all really to compare is the autocannon, for closing factories/nests from miles away.
I got up to difficulty 8 on solo runs (and had done the same difficulty with teams) before reaching level 20 and it was perfectly playable, but the game instantly became half as difficult on reaching that level and being handed the shield and railgun, they really are overpowered compared to everything else, I'm fully in favour of both them being nerfed and all the other support weapons being buffed a bit.

It's not that there's a meta weapon but that there's no niche that the weaker weapons can fill. I think having a big dude with no armor would give stuff like the LMGs a legitimate niche as their raw DPS is higher than a railgun but can't do shit against bile titans or hulks (at least consistently).

The laser Cannon and laser rifle are shit. Infinite ammo isn't worth frick all when the actual dangerous enemies are all armored and immune to the laser damage.
laser rifle is alright against bots imo. Can handle everything up to and including devastators (the rocket racks/shield minigun guys). basically if it has an exposed head you just laser that for a half second and it dies. The problem with lasers imo is that you have to keep the gun on target, which means you have to be pretty stationary or else you'll miss the weak points. Similarly you get extra fricked by aim punch shit, like getting shot or hit, and explosions or pods hitting nearby. I would say you almost have to take the shield generator to really get maximum performance out of the scythe, or just stay behind your teammates so they take the majority of the aggro.

Armored enemies are too prevalent the higher difficulty you go. I'd rather fight more/faster/ gimmicky bugs and use whatever loadout I wanted than have to build around making sure I can QUICKLY take care of every Charger or Bile Titan we come across with the same tired loadouts. I'm sure it won't be as samey with time with more AP stratagems, grenades, vehicles, and weapons releasing in the war bonds, but for now their armor feels so strong it dictates player choice and build variety.

Armor still needs to be fixed, crashes are still common and missions are getting stale. Fricking escort missions are giving me shellshock on higher difficulty when stratagems can no longer give you breathing room to open doors up.

Its also why the "extra padding" trait doesnt do anything right now, its suppose to give you an armour boost, but since armour isnt working it doesnt do anything, the rest of the perks work fine however.

It's an amazing game, but I can name you a bunch of flaws if that's what you REALLY want:

I'm just using an smg and sniper sometimes the liberator, I'm only lvl 12 so I don't have railgun yet but I find them around often. For strats clusterbomb/ orbital strike, sniper and maybe sentry or mines. Whatever I feel like most of the time really, you don't need to completely clear out every objective. I use the armour that reduces visibility and just sneak right around to grab objectives or just orbital strike or grenade factories and stuff. You can sneak up super close really.

Find it in maps in points of interest and its shared between everyone.
Best thing to do is go into Easy missions and just clear the map by yourself to farm it.
You can find resources on maps, some of which may be the premium currency. It's shared for everyone - if you find ten, everyone gets ten - and doesn't require a successful extraction since it's immediately added to your account.
Premium currency is used for unlocking premium warbonds. Warbonds are a progression system structured like battle passes (except permanently available), where you can spend medals (earned by completing missions) to get new weapons, cosmetics, and other stuff. There is currently one regular and one premium warbond.
Beyond that, you can spend premium currency for cosmetics from the rotating store.
The game is flawed conceptually because it forces players to roleplay as fascists and find enjoyment with that without asking whether the player identifies as fascist or wants to be a fascist and just goes with the assumption that they do. Furthermore, without taking into account player's beliefs it makes it enjoyable and seemingly wants players to enjoy be fascists. How it got past censors is beyond me. The satire is so subtle that thousands of players play the game without realizing they are being made fun of! People are more gullible than devs gave them credit for.

I have issues with targeting when having the spear. It's also not better then the eat in my opinion, which has a really low cooldown
I think the targetting is related to your aim accuracy. If you're standing up, following a close target, you can't fire. But crouch/prone and hold a steady aim, it should lock on.
The spear can get you out of big shits in the fan, like a double bile titan/tank. I usually save the ammo for that.
I once killed a charger in one shot with the spear but I really haven't been able to do it again. It's also sorta annoying that it doesn't lock on to bile spewer (maybe it does to the armored variants in higher levels? Haven't tried)
Seems far more finicky than that, I think there's some logic concerning occlusion that's not 1:1 with what the player sees. Walking back and forth can sometimes find the angle that picks up a lock.
I always take spear so long as other people have smaller strat weapons, but I really wish the targetting was more consistent. Sometimes you can clear a whole heavy bot base on your own from a mile away with it, other times you cant target an enemy that is standing in the open

then it got bombed and disappeared
The bug I was talking about the strategem didn't appear in the list to call at all. I had to just give up and wait for an ally to come and do it instead, it worked for them but not for me. Probably a host/late join issue is my guess.
The one after that was one of those observation posts (looks like the eye of sauron). Tried to call in the hellbomb to destroy it, but instead of activating the little strategem grenade just bounced around for 10 seconds and disappeared.

It's very repetitive and feels feature incomplete, but I don't believe it's going to get anything meaningful to change that added for quite some time. Like, I think it needs an entire expansion pack that affects every part of it, including lots of new map 'tiles', especially variations for the same objective, new objectives in general, etc etc.
And a big weapon rebalance, mostly centred around armour penetration being a shitty, railroading, meta-centralising (but not even just meta, a lot of weapons feel genuinely unusable even casually at higher difficulties) mechanic as it is.
The Meta will change and probably be ruined by mechs. I wonder if they will make maps 3x as big to facilitate fast moving vehicles and more, or if mechs and bikes will be on these relatively small maps and completely trivialize what already exists. I think the later being more likely. Which is why there are so many big armored bugs. I dont think they expected so many to completely smash helldive.

Thinking of other co-op shooters/co-op modes in shooters that I've enjoyed I can't parse any kind of distinctive hook like DRG's environmental interactivity, Killing Floor's classes and economy, Splatoon's paint and all that comes with it or Space Marine's relatively involved melee system. Jumping, sliding, more gear options than a flimsy jetpack. Fall damage is absolutey fine and no, I don't need them to double jump and mid-air dash, but you could add a normal dash through an another gear option. But please don't sell diving as 4 separate movements. It's just diving. It's okay that it's in the game, it's something we don't often get, but all in all, the game's movement is very basic.

It does an okay job at that. And as I said, it's definitely more engaging than simply pressing a button. But it's also kind of tedious. I don't really have much of a gripe with it, but it is one thing I think could be improved. I do find it good that it adds another layer of balancing to stratagems - by varying code length and complexity.

You never elaborated so we were left to wonder what the frick you could possibly mean. Helldiver's movement fits very well, both thematically for the setting and mechanically in its gameplay. It serves to keep the player grounded in what and how they can expect their character to accomplish tasks. That's why it's basic. You're not Captain America, you're the poor propagandized frick that signed up for college money and you were only given lipservice to be a super soldier.

Eh yeah, I hear you, but while this may seem like a minor change to you it's a real detractor to the tension and trivializes gameplay. It's enough that they give you a visual indicator as opposed to making your character shake/bob the mag and trying to guess how much weight/ammunition is in the fricking thing based on how much their hand moves. Not having a distinct ammo counter is what leads the tense reload situations and also makes you appreciate staged reloads more, particularly after you're done diving out of the way of a tank cannon.
Also in case you didn't know, there is sliding. You just don't slide far.

It's a moronic thing to find any kind of "middle ground" in, Monster Hunter is extremely fun and feels good to play because the player character has objectively superhuman strength and agility but their movement still has clear weight to it, so it's not floaty but also the game isn't restricting your ability to move

Stealth seems best to me. You can waste 20 minutes and half a dozen respawns fighting off a million bot drops and bug breaches, or you can just slip past them or away from them whenever they start swarming and win. With the stealth armour it becomes comically strong, most of the time I can just sprint past anything I don't feel like dealing with, and if I go prone I can crawl like a metre away from enemies without them suspecting a thing.
It's especially strong when soloing, but still great in a team.
The problem with stealth is the guy breathing into his open mic aggroing every mob in the galaxy and calling airstrikes on top of your team every time he does. It is insanely good if everyone is on board though.

It has VoIP, but it doesn't aggro mobs. Like all games with VoIP it instantly tells you who the weakest link is going to be when you hear Mexican children calling each other puta or someone breathing heavy into the mic and making strange noises.

The high difficulty escort missions are currently broken. The mission select screen says the timer for the mission is 40 minutes, the in game timer is 15 minutes. The ai director spawns so much shit because it's trying to cram 40 minutes worth of enemies into 15 minutes of play.

Even if I max out my out of pocket expenses in a year I still don't pay half as much as my Canadian friends do just for their healthcare taxes alone, and that's only if I have that many medical expenses in a single year. Paying for what you use is the superior system in all cases.

And unless you're really well off and can afford top-grade health insurance, you won't get the best care there. Yes, it's true that the US has some of the best specialists and best hospitals in the world, but they're rarely available for your average Burger. Their average is about the same as Wester/Northern/Central European average. And the waiting times are often similar.
All in all, most Europeans/European countries pay way less than the US for their healthcare systems while broadly getting the same quality of treatment. There are exceptions, like the UK, but that's because the NHS has been neglected and there are strong forces in the UK that want to move towards a free-market healthcare system like in the US. Why? because there's of course a ton of money in it for insurances and healthcare providers. But the average person loses.

All I am doing today is quickplaying Mort, rushing the mission objectives, and leaving the mission. That way all the mongs that are fricking around and blowing their timers and reinforce budgets againt light outposts will actually still have an impact on the defense meter no matter how bad they frick up.
I was solo farming a different planet, collecting all the super credits and then abandoning missions, but I'm moving over to Mort now just to undo your progress.
I haven't been able to get a decent game in without disconnecting for an hour.
